<p>A Chinese immigrant who is running for U.S. Congress slammed far-left gun control activist David Hogg this week at gun control debate, telling him that he needed to go to communist China to see what the impacts of total <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/gun-control" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gun control</a> are.</p>
<p>Lily Tang Williams, who is running as a Republican in New Hampshire&#8217;s 2nd Congressional District, confronted Hogg on Wednesday at Dartmouth University.</p>
<p>&#8220;I am a Chinese immigrant who survived communism,&#8221; she began. &#8220;And under Mao, 40 million people were starving to death after he sold the communism to them. And 20 million people died, murdered, during his cultural revolution.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;So my question to you, David, is that can you guarantee me, a gun owner, tonight, our government in the U.S., in D.C., will never, never become a tyrannical government?&#8221; she asked. &#8220;Can you guarantee that to me?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s no way I can ever guarantee that any government will not be tyrannical,&#8221; Hogg admitted.</p>
<p>&#8220;Well, then the debate on gun control is over because I will never give up my guns,&#8221; she responded. &#8220;Never. Never. And you should go to China to see how gun control works for dictatorship of the CCP.&#8221;</p>

<p>Another Chinese immigrant who has spoken out against communists, Xi Van Fleet, responded to the viral clip on social media by writing: &#8220;David Hogg you need to learn some real history from survivors of Communism.&#8221;</p>
<p>Williams later responded to the clip, writing on X: &#8220;I love to see more open discussions &amp; debates on our college campuses. Even though I disagree with David, but we shook hands at the end respectfully. I urge him to do some research on Mao&#8217;s Red Guards. I am hoping someday, he will get it.&#8221;</p>
