A clip of Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> went viral this week that showed remarks she made as San Francisco&#8217;s district attorney in which she said that police had the right to &#8220;walk into&#8221; people&#8217;s homes and inspect their legally-owned firearms.
The Democrat presidential nominee made the remarks while speaking to reporters during a press conference in 2007 about a law that was being introduced that she helped write.
Harris said, &#8220;We&#8217;re going to require responsible behaviors among everybody in the community, and just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn&#8217;t mean that we&#8217;re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you&#8217;re being responsible and safe in the way you conduct your affairs.&#8221;
Fox News reported that the anti-gun bill was ultimately signed into law by then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom.
&#8220;It was bundled with other gun control provisions, including a new requirement for legal gun distributors to submit an inventory to the chief of police every six months, and a ban on possessing guns – even legally – in public housing,&#8221; the report said.
The NRA said in a post that included the video: &#8220;Kamala Harris wants mass gun confiscation, and she’s willing to weaponize the government to enter your home and seize your legally owned guns.&#8221;

Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> claimed during an interview that aired on Friday that she would not confiscate people&#8217;s firearms, but she would ban so-called &#8220;assault weapons,&#8221; which are nothing more than semi-automatic long guns.
Harris made the remarks during an interview with 6abc Action News when the interviewer brought up Harris&#8217; claim during the debate earlier this week that she owned a firearm.
&#8220;Where do you draw the line in America on gun ownership and gun use?&#8221; the interviewer asked.
&#8220;I am a gun owner,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;And Tim Walz, my running mate, is also a gun owner. We&#8217;re not taking anybody&#8217;s guns away. I support the Second Amendment and I support reasonable gun safety laws. Part of my approach to this is, I was a career prosecutor for most of my career. I have personally prosecuted homicide cases. I have personally looked at autopsies. I have personally seen what assault weapons do to the human body.&#8221;
&#8220;And so I feel very strongly that it is consistent with the Second Amendment and your right to own a gun to also say we need an assault weapons ban,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;They’re literally tools of war. They were literally designed to kill a lot of human beings quickly.&#8221;
Harris&#8217; claim that so-called &#8220;assault weapons&#8221; are &#8220;literally tools of war&#8221; is false.

The weapons that she is referring to are the civilian versions of weapons that militaries and law enforcement agencies use. They do not have the ability to burst fire, which is typically 3 rounds per each pull of the trigger, nor do they have the ability to fire full-auto, which allows the weapon to repeatedly fire until it runs out of ammunition with a single pull of the trigger as long as the operator does not release the trigger.
&#8220;I say we need universal background checks,&#8221; she claimed, even though people already have to undergo a background check to purchase a firearm from an FFL. &#8220;The majority of NRA members support that. Why? Because it&#8217;s just reasonable. You just might want to know before someone can buy a lethal weapon if they&#8217;ve been found by a court to be a danger to themselves or others. You just might want to know.&#8221;

Vice President Kamala Harris lied about her position on gun confiscation during Tuesday night&#8217;s debate, and despite knowing that it was a lie, ABC News moderator David Muir left her to persist, unchecked.
In a rebuttal to former President Donald Trump — who had accurately stated that Harris had voiced support for gun confiscation via mandatory buyback programs — the Vice President claimed that she was a gun owner and declared that she had no intention of taking anyone&#8217;s guns.

She had previously alluded to her personal firearm during her ill-fated presidential campaign in 2019, saying, &#8220;I am a gun owner, and I own a gun for probably the reason a lot of people do — for personal safety. I was a career prosecutor.&#8221;
But Harris did say that she favored mandatory gun buybacks, a position challenged during one of the 2019 primary debates by then-candidate Joe Biden and moderator David Muir.
During that debate, Biden argued that gun buybacks could not be enacted via executive order. Muir pressed Harris for a response, asking, &#8220;Does the Vice President have a point there?&#8221;
&#8220;I would say hey, Joe, instead of saying no we can&#8217;t, let&#8217;s say yes we can,&#8221; she said, tossing her hair and laughing.
&#8220;Let&#8217;s be constitutional,&#8221; Biden shot back. &#8220;We got a constitution.&#8221;
&#8220;Yes we can,&#8221; Harris insisted, still laughing.

Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/raphael-warnock" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Raphael Warnock</a> (R-GA) conceded on Sunday that no particular gun law that would have stopped the deadly shooting at a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/georgia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Georgia</a> high school last week even as he blamed firearms for the tragedy anyway.
During an interview on NBC, &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; moderator Kristen Welker asked Warnock whether there was a &#8220;specific law&#8221; that he thought could have prevented the shooting that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/father-of-suspected-georgia-school-shooter-charged-with-murder" target="_blank" rel="noopener">killed four people</a> given how the father of suspected 14-year-old shooter <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/05/us/winder-georgia-shooting-apalachee-high-school/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly told</a> investigators he gave the AR-15-style rifle used in the attack to his son as a holiday gift last year. Both the alleged gunman and his father have since been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/father-of-suspected-georgia-school-shooter-charged-with-murder" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested and charged</a>.

&#8220;Listen, 14-year-olds don&#8217;t need AR-15s, and we need to get these military-style weapons off the streets. Eighty-seven percent of Americans (Democrats and Republicans, according to the Fox News report last year), believe that we ought to have universal background checks and still we can&#8217;t even get that done in Congress,&#8221; Warnock said.
&#8220;Listen, there is no one single law that will stop all of these tragedies. In a sense, I think we have to broaden the scope of the question because after all we have two mass shootings a day in our country, based on the data just last year. And this does not happen everywhere in the world,&#8221; he added before chiding politicians who are &#8220;beholden to the gun lobby&#8221; and lamenting how &#8220;we&#8217;re all sitting ducks&#8221; when it comes to school shootings.
Welker also repeatedly pressed Warnock on whether he thinks Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a>, who is running for the presidency atop the Democratic Party&#8217;s ticket, should support a mandatory gun buy-back program for so-called &#8220;assault weapons&#8221; like Harris <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6360516566112" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> she would in 2019 during her first White House campaign. The moderator noted how Harris&#8217; campaign told her overnight that Harris will &#8220;not push for mandatory buy-backs but has expressed support for an assault weapons ban, expanded background checks, red flag laws.&#8221;
In his first response, Warnock said, &#8220;We&#8217;re not going to be able to get where we need to go without action in Congress.&#8221; The senator said he was &#8220;heartened&#8221; by the enactment two years ago of the &#8220;Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,&#8221; which The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-signs-most-expansive-gun-control-bill-in-decades-into-law-following-republican-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> as the most expansive gun control law in decades that gave financial grants to states for “red-flag” laws and increased background check stipulations for 18 to 21-year-olds.
&#8220;It was the first gun safety law we passed in 30 years. Thirty years. And it was modest, but it did save lives. But clearly (in the wake of what happened just the other day in Winder, Georgia), it&#8217;s not enough. And the least we can do is move forward on the bipartisan spaces where ordinary people agree,&#8221; Warnock said. &#8220;Clearly, there&#8217;s a disconnect between what the people, the American people want, and what they&#8217;re able to get out of their government. Again, 87% of Americans believe in background checks, and yet I hear politicians say that it&#8217;s not guns who kill people, it&#8217;s people who kill people. And yet we don&#8217;t even want to know who those people are. We won&#8217;t even support common sense gun reform.&#8221;
Asked again about whether Harris should support a mandatory gun buy-back program, Warnock said,  &#8220;As a pastor I&#8217;ve done buy-back programs. You can pick this issue or that issue. But I think that, again, there&#8217;s not one single thing that will make all of this go away.&#8221;

A federal judge struck down a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-jersey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Jersey</a> ban on AR-15 rifles on Tuesday, ruling that the prohibition violates the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. District Judge Peter Sheridan wrote in a 69-page <a href="https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/new-jersey-ar-15-ban-unconstitutional.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">decision</a> that a provision in New Jersey’s “Assault Firearms Law” banning the possession and sale of AR-15s violated the Second Amendment. The Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs and the Firearms Policy Coalition sued the state over the restriction and another provision banning higher-capacity magazines. 
In his decision, Sheridan pointed to Supreme Court decisions on gun regulations, including the recent Bruen decision, in which the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-scotus-strikes-down-new-york-concealed-carry-restrictions-restrictions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">court </a>struck down New York&#8217;s restrictions on concealed carry, ruling that judges must consider gun control laws in the “historical tradition of firearm regulation” in the United States. 
“That is, where the Supreme Court has set forth the law of our Nation, as a lower court, I am bound to follow it,” Sheridan wrote. “This principle — combined with the reckless inaction of our governmental leaders to address the mass shooting tragedy afflicting our Nation — necessitates the Court&#8217;s decision. For these reasons and those below, the AR-15 Provision of Assault Firearms Law is unconstitutional.”
Sheridan wrote that the possession of AR-15s for self-defense purposes was protected under the Second Amendment and was “inconsistent with our Nation&#8217;s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”
His decision did not strike down a ban on similar guns, like the Beretta AR-70 or the Springfield Armory BM59, that were included in the same law, saying he only heard arguments on the AR-15. 
Association of New Jersey Rifle &amp; Pistol Clubs Executive Director Scott Bach <a href="https://www.courthousenews.com/judge-greenlights-ar-15-sales-in-new-jersey-finding-ban-unconstitutional/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indicated</a> his group would appeal the ruling. 
&#8220;While the decision is mixed and certain to be appealed by both sides, it is groundbreaking in that it invalidates part of New Jersey&#8217;s &#8216;assault firearms&#8217; ban — a misguided hardware ban destined to be overturned in its entirety,” he said.
The judge also ruled that a prohibition on higher capacity magazines was constitutional, rejecting the plaintiffs&#8217; challenge on that front. He pointed to mass shootings as one reason for his decision. 
“Second, that large capacity ammunition magazines have been used in most of these mass shooting events in recent years. This relationship is impossible to ignore,” he wrote. 
Democrat New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin accused the court of weaponizing the Second Amendment to “undermine public safety” and promised to appeal the decision to strike down the AR-15 ban.

NBC&#8217;s Erin McLaughlin appeared to link last Friday&#8217;s Supreme Court decision — which overturned a Trump-era ban on bump stocks — to mass shootings that occurred over the weekend, despite the fact that bump stocks were not used in any of the instances she referenced.
McLaughlin made the intuitive leap during Monday morning&#8217;s broadcast of The Today Show, framing her report for anchor Hoda Kotb as though there was a direct connection between the court&#8217;s ruling and the shootings.

&#8220;A mass shooting at a splash pad in Michigan, another at a Juneteenth celebration in Texas, and yet another at a gathering in Massachusetts — all just days after Friday&#8217;s Supreme Court ruling that rejects a ban on bump stocks,&#8221; McLaughlin began.
&#8220;This morning, friends and families across the country are grieving after multiple mass shootings this weekend,&#8221; the report continued, showing several clips of emergency calls that went out during the shootings as well as the police response.
At the Michigan splash pad, a shooter discharged 28 rounds and injured at least nine, some of whom were children. The shooter then reportedly turned the weapon on himself, and an investigation into his possible motive is ongoing.
In Texas, two were killed and more than a dozen were injured when a gunman opened fire — and in that case, authorities are still looking for the alleged perpetrator.
In Massachusetts, a pop-up party was the target of a shooting that left eight injured.
At the end of the report, McLaughlin circled back to the Supreme Court ruling — seeming once again to suggest a link between the bump stock ban being overturned and the three recent shootings.

Sunday&#8217;s media spin centered on the Supreme Court — specifically Friday&#8217;s 6-3 ruling that overturned a ban on bump stocks that was first issued in 2017 — and the angle was blatantly obvious. Democrat guests were brought in to complain about the ruling — and claim that the court is leaning too far to the right — and a few Republicans to push back while the hosts toed the Democrat line.

On &#8220;State of the Union,&#8221; CNN anchor Jake Tapper prompted Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) — another likely Trump veepstakes contender — to weigh in on the bump stock ban reversal, and he too defended the court.
Tapper noted that the Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling had made it sound as though a majority might support a ban if it were approached through legislation rather than executive action, and then turned the question to Cotton, asking whether he would support such a move.
&#8220;First I want to make a point about the Supreme Court more broadly,&#8221; Cotton began. &#8220;For years, Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden have attacked this court because they don&#8217;t like the fact that it&#8217;s got a center-right constitutionalist majority.&#8221;
He went on to point out that for all their complaints that the court supported and deferred to former President Trump, this was a clear example of the court overturning something Trump had supported.

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/supreme-court" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Supreme Court</a> struck down a federal ban on bump stocks enacted by the Trump administration on Friday. 
The 6-3 ruling was split along ideological lines. Justice <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/clarence-thomas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Clarence Thomas</a> wrote in the majority opinion that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) exceeded its statutory authority when it announced a ban on bump stocks following a 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas. In the ruling, Thomas said that equipping rifles with bump stocks does not turn them into machine guns, meaning they cannot be prohibited under existing law.
“This case asks whether a bump stock — an accessory for a semi-automatic rifle that allows the shooter to rapidly reengage the trigger (and therefore achieve a high rate of fire) — converts the rifle into a ‘machinegun,’” Thomas <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf/22-976_e29g.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> in his decision. “We conclude that semiautomatic rifle equipped with a bump stock is not a ‘machinegun’ because it does not fire more than one shot &#8216;by a single function of the trigger.&#8217;”
A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-agrees-to-take-up-challenge-to-trump-era-bump-stock-ban" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bump stock</a> is a device that can be attached to a semi-automatic firearm. It reduces the length of time between trigger pulls by harnessing the gun’s energy from recoil.
Thomas was joined in his decision by Justices John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, and Samuel Alito, who wrote a concurring opinion. In his concurrence, Alito said it would require new congressional legislation to ban bump stocks. 
“The horrible shooting spree in Las Vegas in 2017 did not change the statutory text or its meaning. That event demonstrated that a semiautomatic rifle with a bump stock can have the same lethal effect as a machinegun,” Alito wrote. “There is a simple remedy for the disparate treatment of bump stocks and machineguns. Congress can amend the law—and perhaps would have done so already if ATF had stuck with its earlier interpretation.”

The three liberals on the court, Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson, all dissented. 
The <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/supreme-court/supreme-court-rules-gun-bump-stocks-ban-unlawful-rcna154651" target="_blank" rel="noopener">case came</a> to the high court after gun owner Michael Cargill sued the government to reverse the ban after he turned in two of his bump stocks to the feds. 
As the case made its way through the court system, both the 5th and 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the ban. Biden’s Justice Department defended the rule in court after it was implemented by the Trump administration.

President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> delivered remarks on Tuesday at gun control advocacy group Everytown&#8217;s annual conference, Gun Sense University — and as is often the case when Biden speaks about guns, critics were quick to point out a series of factual errors.
Biden&#8217;s comments, which came within hours of his embattled son Hunter Biden&#8217;s conviction on several gun-related felonies, included a few of his oft-repeated — and already debunked — claims, in addition to a few new additions.
Greg Price noted several mistakes that Biden whipped through in under a minute — from debunked claims about his alleged history as a professor to the assertion that the Second Amendment was written in a time when individuals were not permitted to own cannons.

&#8220;There has never been a time that says you could own anything you want. Never. You couldn’t own a cannon during the Civil War. No, I’m serious. Think about it,&#8221; Biden said — but as the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/06/11/us-news/biden-botches-thomas-jefferson-quote-and-claims-americans-couldnt-own-cannons-during-the-civil-war/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, the few laws passed regarding cannons during the 19th century were primarily focused on &#8220;limiting where they could be discharged, restricting the sale of the weapon to children and regulating how gunpowder could be stored.&#8221;
It is still legal to own Civil War era cannons in the United States.

Biden was speaking in Washington, D.C., at gun control advocacy group Everytown&#8217;s Gun Sense University — an annual gun violence prevention conference — on the same day that his embattled son Hunter Biden was convicted on gun-related charges, a fact that some noted might be awkward.

Texas and a group of gun rights organizations won a legal victory on Sunday after a federal judge temporarily blocked a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/gun-control" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gun control</a> rule from the Biden administration regulating private firearm sales. 
Federal Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk said that the Biden administration could not implement a policy against Texas or members of multiple gun rights groups that require individuals who “earn a profit” selling guns to conduct background checks and have a federal firearms license <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-harris-announces-new-rule-all-gun-dealers-must-conduct-background-checks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no matter</a> where or how they sell their merchandise.
In his 14-page <a href="https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/sites/default/files/images/press/ATF%20Rule%20TRO.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ruling</a>, Kacsmaryk said that the rule likely violates the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and was not in alignment with the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” (BSCA) which the Justice Department cited in its justifications for implementing the policy. He said that because of this determination, evaluating the other arguments made against the rule was unnecessary. 
“Plaintiffs understandably fear that these presumptions will trigger civil or criminal penalties for conduct deemed lawful just yesterday,” the judge wrote. “Other Plaintiffs face both civil and criminal enforcement actions for engaging in conduct that the BSCA permits but the Final Rule impermissibly forbids.”
The decision applies to Texas, the Gun Owners of America, the Gun Owners Foundation, the Tennessee Firearms Association, and the Virginia Citizens Defense League. The judge ruled that Louisiana, Mississippi, and Utah failed to demonstrate standing and did not issue the temporary injunction in their favor. 
Republicans have argued that the <a href="https://www.regulations.gov/document/ATF-2023-0002-0001#:~:text=921(a)(21)(C)%20as%20%E2%80%9Ca%20person,makes%20occasional%20sales%2C%20exchanges%2C%20or">regulations</a> infringe on Second Amendment rights and would make it a felony for family members and friends to sell guns to each other without conducting background checks or having a federal license. 
“I am relieved that we were able to secure a restraining order that will prevent this illegal rule from taking effect,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton <a href="https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/attorney-general-ken-paxton-secures-temporary-restraining-order-against-biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in response to the ruling. “The Biden Administration cannot unilaterally overturn Americans’ constitutional rights and nullify the Second Amendment.”

Gun Owners of America President Erich Pratt praised the decision. 
“President Biden and his anti-gun administration have aggressively pursued an agenda meant to harass, intimidate, and criminalize gun owners and dealers at every turn,” he said. “This ruling is a compelling rebuke of their tyrannical and unconstitutional actions that purposely misinterpreted federal law to ensure their preferred policy outcome.”
The rule broadly goes into effect on Monday after it faced a flurry of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/red-states-challenge-biden-admins-blatantly-unconstitutional-regulations-on-private-gun-sales" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuits</a>. For Texas and the gun rights groups, the rule will be on hold until June 2, pending further litigation.

More than two dozen Republican attorneys general announced challenges on Wednesday to the proposed gun control rule from the Biden administration regulating private firearm sales. 
Multiple suits were filed in federal court against the proposal, which would require individuals who &#8220;earn a profit” selling guns to conduct background checks and have a federal firearms license <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-harris-announces-new-rule-all-gun-dealers-must-conduct-background-checks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no matter</a> where or how they sell their merchandise. Republicans say that the proposed <a href="https://www.regulations.gov/document/ATF-2023-0002-0001#:~:text=921(a)(21)(C)%20as%20%E2%80%9Ca%20person,makes%20occasional%20sales%2C%20exchanges%2C%20or" target="_blank" rel="noopener">regulations</a>, put forth by the Justice Department, infringe on Second Amendment rights and would make it a felony for family members and friends to sell guns to each other without conducting background checks or having a federal license. 
One effort, led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, sued the DOJ and the ATF, arguing that the ATF doesn’t have the statutory authority to enforce the rule and that it violates the Second and Fifth Amendments. 
“Yet again, Joe Biden is weaponizing the federal bureaucracy to rip up the Constitution and destroy our citizens’ Second Amendment rights,” Paxton <a href="https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/attorney-general-ken-paxton-leads-multistate-coalition-suing-biden-administration-over-unlawful-ban" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “This is a dramatic escalation of his tyrannical abuse of authority. With today’s lawsuit, it is my great honor to defend our Constitutionally-protected freedoms from the out-of-control federal government.”
The suit was joined by Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah, the Gun Owners of America, the Virginia Citizens Defense League, and the Tennessee Firearms Association. 
A separate lawsuit, led by Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, also challenges the DOJ and the ATF. 
“Biden’s latest attempt to strip away the Second Amendment rights of Americans through ATF regulations will make many law-abiding gun owners felons if they sell a firearm or two to family or friends,” Kobach <a href="https://ag.ks.gov/media-center/news-releases/2024/05/01/kobach-leads-21-state-coalition-in-defense-of-second-amendment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “This rule is blatantly unconstitutional. We are suing to defend the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.”
Kansas was joined by Iowa, Montana, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Idaho, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed A third lawsuit against the DOJ and ATF.
The Biden administration <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-signs-most-expansive-gun-control-bill-in-decades-into-law-following-republican-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> it had proposed the rules to implement the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” which added background check stipulations and gave grants for states to enact “red flag” laws. The measure, which was backed by 15 Republicans in the Senate and 14 Republicans in the House, was the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-signs-most-expansive-gun-control-bill-in-decades-into-law-following-republican-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">most expansive</a> gun control law signed into law in decades. 
“The challenged rule, in fact, goes far beyond the plain text of the BSCA,” Florida’s <a href="https://www.myfloridalegal.com/sites/default/files/2024-05/atf-complaint_as-filed.pdf">suit</a> says. “It purports to force thousands of law-abiding gun owners to register as federal firearms dealers and navigate a federal bureaucracy as a precondition to engaging in constitutionally protected activity. The challenged rule is unlawful.”
