<p style="font-weight: 400;">United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro revealed that the Democrat-run D.C. police manipulated data to make the city seem safer than it was.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith, the top cop in the nation’s capital, said on Monday that she will step down at the end of the month, as her department faces continued pressure to address violent crime.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Smith has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/capitals-top-cop-quits-following-months-of-controversy-over-d-c-law-enforcement?utm_source=chatgpt.com">acknowledged</a> her final day will be on December 31. The Justice Department is also investigating the police department over allegations that it has been manipulating crime data to hide how dangerous the city has become under Democratic leadership.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“I think there was certainly an effort to misclassify, mischaracterize certain categories of crime,” Pirro <a href="https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/2001299446303199714">told</a> Dana Perino on FOX News Channels’ America’s Newsroom. “It was an attempt to make crime look lower than it was. The investigation that we conducted over a period of several months based upon the report of the deflation of numbers was very thorough &#8230; over 6,000 reports were looked at; over 50 witnesses.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“And those witnesses were ranked and filed from the top down,” she stated. “The bottom line here is this: Now we’re in a situation with President Trump and the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, where every case is being looked at. Every case is being reviewed by my office. So if it appears that the arrest is lower than what the facts show, we’re going to upgrade that crime.”</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">“You know, what’s amazing to me is that the U.S. attorney before me in the Biden administration did not go forward with more than 65% of the arrests,” she noted. “That means that even if police made arrests, they weren&#8217;t being prosecuted.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“In my office, we go forward with over 90 percent of the arrests,” she asserted. “We review them. We look at them. We see if&#8230; the law and the evidence support the charging, and we go forward. And this really is a testament to the determination and the focus of the president in making sure that crime is down in our nation’s capital, because when crime is underreported, then police resources are not put in certain areas, and then as a result of that, people don’t think that they are being protected; they then don’t report crime.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Now, everything has changed,” she declared. “In the period since we had the surge, homicides are down 65% compared to the year before, carjackings are down 68%, and robberies are down 49%. We&#8217;re making a difference, but it is a focus on law and order, and it&#8217;s the federal partners coming in, and the people of the district deserve it.”</p>

‘Make Crime Look Lower Than It Was’: Jeanine Pirro Accuses D.C. Police Of Manipulating Crime Data

<p style="font-weight: 400;">President Trump hosted a Hanukkah party at the White House on Tuesday night and spoke of his unwavering support of the Jewish people while calling out the antisemitism spouted by some lawmakers.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“As president of the United States, I will always support Jewish Americans and I will always be a friend and a champion to the Jewish people,” he stated bluntly.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">He warned about the antisemitism among some members of Congress, specifically calling out leftist congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“You have a Congress in particular which is becoming antisemitic. You have AOC plus three; you have those people like Ilhan Omar. She hates Jewish people,” Trump said.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“They hate Israel,” he continued. “And if you would have told me 15 years ago that that was possible, I would have said there&#8217;s no way. &#8230; You see what goes on in Australia or October 7. And then you have people that deny it ever happened. People deny the Holocaust, but you figure, well, that&#8217;s just many years; October 7 is not many years at all. And you have people that deny October 7. I saw tape; I wish I never saw it. But then they&#8217;ll say, ‘Oh, the tape was a rigged tape. It was a tape that never existed. They made it up. <p style="font-weight: 400;">Speaking of the antisemitism that has ramped up on university campuses and elsewhere, he declared, “I&#8217;m president, and the DOJ and Harmeet [Dhillon], we&#8217;re not going to let it happen.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“We are deporting foreign jihadist sympathizers and terrorist supporters at record levels. We&#8217;re deporting them. We&#8217;re not putting them in jails,” he asserted.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“The story of Hanukkah reminds us that light will always prevail over darkness and faith [will] triumph over fear. Together, let us honor the eternal flame and the faith that has always protected the Jewish people. You are protected. You are special, special people,” he concluded.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Rabbi Levi Shemtov, who serves the Jewish community of Washington, D.C., said before he lit the menorah, “Mr. President, you know that I&#8217;m Jewish. You know that I&#8217;m American, but you may not know that a very large part of my family lives in Australia. That includes some of those who had escaped the attack and some who didn&#8217;t. And all I can say is listening to them on the other side of the world speak about you, you don&#8217;t just express solidarity, you practice solidarity with the Jewish people, perhaps in a way we&#8217;ve never seen before. We&#8217;ve had the strongest, deepest friend that Israel and the Jewish people have ever had here in the White House. &#8230; We&#8217;re going to light the menorah, which gives us a message of the victory of right over might, of justice over tyranny, of light over darkness. And it is especially in this time when the Jewish people has so much of a burden that we need this light. We need this strength. ‘I Will Always Be A Friend And A Champion To The Jewish People’: Trump Shines At Hanukkah Party

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman ripped the legacy media and strongly defended the Trump administration over its actions vis-à-vis Venezuela, including strikes on suspected narco-terrorist boats and seizing an oil tanker used by Nicolás Maduro&#8217;s regime.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Last week, the United States seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, targeting Venezuela’s state-owned oil industry and primary source of funding. Since September, the U.S. military has also knocked out over 20 boats and submarines in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean in strikes targeting narco-terrorists.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo <a href="http://youtube.com/watch?time_continue=218&amp;v=7jyKTMeZDQg&amp;embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.dailywire.com%2F&amp;source_ve_path=MjM4NTE">asked</a> Fetterman about a briefing he had attended about the situation, saying, “What did you learn, Senator, that gave you any comfort that we’re not heading into some kind of extended military exercise around Venezuela or in Venezuela?&#8221;</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“I thought it was pretty comprehensive,” Fetterman replied. He then criticized the media for attacking the Trump administration on the issue.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;And this idea, some things out in the media, it’s kind of putting out this — that the military’s just picking off any boat that comes across. That’s just not true,&#8221; Fetterman said. &#8220;I mean, there’s extensive intelligence and they know exactly who’s on that boat and they know what’s actually on that boat right now. And it’s quite frequently they decline to take it into (a) move on those things. When they move on those kinetic kinds of strikes, you know, they have absolute confidence who’s on it and what’s on it, and that’s exactly what it’s about. <p style="font-weight: 400;">A distraught Jewish couple shared the harrowing and heartbreaking circumstances during the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in Australia, when they couldn’t find one of their daughters amidst the bloodshed and chaos.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Wayne and Vanessa Miller, whose daughter Capri is four years old and daughter Gigi is three, spoke to Erin Molan in a highly emotional interview.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“In Australia, we’re such targets; the government&#8217;s not doing much about it,” Wayne began.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“Capri wanted to get a balloon, so I left Vanessa, and I walked up to the balloon stand, which was actually on the west end of the whole event, closest to where the shooter was, shooting from the bridge,” he recalled of the massacre. “And we were waiting in line for the balloons, and the next thing I feel something hit me in the face like a ricochet or something. I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, they must’ve set off a firecracker. How unsafe.’”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“And then it was a big bang, then I heard it again, and then I was just — I took Capri up, I picked her up and &#8230; I dived under a table, and I was just I smothering her. She was completely underneath me. No part of her body was exposed,” he continued. “So much was going on &#8230; two arm lengths away, there was a guy lying there shot. I couldn’t do anything about it, and then the next thing Vanessa phones me and she says to me, ‘Have you got the kids?’”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“I said, ‘I’ve just got Capri,” he said. “I said, ‘Where’s Gigi?’ She said she doesn’t have Gigi. And at that moment, I put my head out into the field to see if I could see her, and there was just shooting &#8230; the shots were going off, and people were shouting, ‘Get down! Get back!’ And I just went and laid over Capri, and I said to Vanessa, ‘We’ll get her back. We’ll get her.’ Gunshots were going off, and I couldn’t even move to go find my little baby. It was the longest five minutes.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Wayne said a man lying down near him said he didn’t know where two of his own children were. After the shooting stopped, he grabbed Capri in his arms and ran to the car park where Vanessa was, handed her Capri, and said, “I’m going in to look for Gigi.”</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">“There was blood, and people lying on the floor, and dead bodies,” he remembered. Gigi was wearing a rainbow skirt and a pink top, and Wayne saw his daughter underneath a lady, “this hero of a person,” who had seen his daughter crying and pulled her underneath her, protecting her. When Wayne saw his daughter, she was covered with blood from a woman near her who had been shot in the head.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Finding Gigi was “the best moment of my life,” he wept.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“I knew Wayne had Capri,” Vanessa said. “I was looking around. I couldn’t find Gigi. I’m standing around screaming, ‘Where are you? Where’s my family? Where are my girls?”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“There were two policemen; one was hiding behind a car; one was shot in the head, bleeding from his face. &#8230; I tried to grab one of their guns, he says no. I’m trying to grab for his gun. &#8230; These police officers were hiding behind a car,” she said. “They were just standing there, listening and watching this all happen, holding me back.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“My little three-year-old was saved by a pregnant woman who saw her crying and screaming, ‘Mummy, Daddy,’  running around while everyone was on the floor. She’s lucky to be alive, and I know that today,” she continued.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Wayne told Molan, “Last night, putting Capri to bed, we’re lying under the table, she said, ‘Daddy, when we’re lying under the table, I have to wee in my pants because I don’t want to go to the toilet and get dead.’”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Speaking about the Australian government, Wayne said, “It’s appalling the position they’ve left the Jewish community in.”</p>
