And you thought Chelsea Manning was the strong, silent type.
Not so much.
In June, Manning will speak in a TV interview for the first time since being released from prison on ABC News. ABC’s Juju Chang will be the interviewer; the interview will air on Nightline, with segments appearing on Good Morning America and World News Tonight with David Muir.
As an added bonus, Chang will interview members of Manning’s team who helped with the former soldier’s release.
Manning released a statement before the release, saying, “The past will always affect me and I will keep that in mind while remembering that how it played out is only my starting point — not my final destination.”
One wonders if Chang will ask about the “final destination” for the members of the intelligence community who may have been placed at risk from Manning’s leaking of classified information to Wikileaks.
Believe it or not, even after the traitorous betrayal of classified information, Manning will remain an active-duty soldier even while going through the appeal of Manning’s court-martial conviction.
