Daily Wire host Candace Owens, who is in YouTube’s crosshairs because of her factually-based commentary on transgender issues, revealed on Monday which clips from her show got flagged by the Big Tech platform.

In an Instagram video posted Sunday, Owens said YouTube imposed a temporary ban on her channel and said the lockdown was a result of a review of videos in which she refers to trans-identifying people by their biological sex and showcases people who have expressed remorse over undergoing transgender surgeries. Owens blamed YouTube’s “very opaque policies” for multiple strikes against her account and noted a suspension could last a week or more.

On Monday, Owens posted three clips on Twitter and said that YouTube took issue with the segments from her show because she spoke out against “radical gender ideology.”

“YouTube has informed us that they consider the mere mention of Disney and the Left’s support of radical gender ideology and extreme fringe LGBTQ to be hate speech,” Owens tweeted along with a video of the host discussing the slippery slope of accepting LGBTQ talking points.

In the second video, Owens discusses Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s son who now identifies as a girl with the full support of his parents.

“YouTube has taken the position that we cannot question celebrities’ publicizing their minor children’s sexuality without silencing us for violating their harassment policy,” Owens said.

The third video that Owens said is being targeted by YouTube is an entire episode where, in one segment, she discusses a trans-identifying man attempting to convince Daily Wire host Matt Walsh that he should be recognized as a woman.

“YouTube has taken the extreme, anti-first amendment position that gender identity and expression are a protected group that cannot be criticized, or even ‘insulted,’ without violating their community guidelines,” The Daily Wire host said.

Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing announced Sunday evening that a number of accounts associated with his company, including those belonging to Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro, and Jordan Peterson, have received 104 violations for “Hateful and Derogatory” content on YouTube over the past 90 days, mainly directed at commentary about transgender issues.

The Daily Wire reached out to YouTube seeking comment on the thread. “We removed content from the Candace Owens, Michael Knowles, and Jordan Peterson channels for violating our hate speech and harassment policies,” a YouTube spokesperson said in an email. “Our Community Guidelines apply equally to all creators on our platform.”
