Actor Bryan Cranston said he’s ready to be done with acting within three years so he can focus on his marriage instead.

The 67-year-old “Breaking Bad” alum made the comments during a recent interview with British GQ. Cranston said after asking his wife, Robin Dearden, to support him in his career for decades, it’s time for him to “change the paradigm.”

“For the last 24 years, Robin has led her life holding onto my tail,” the actor said. “She’s been the plus one, she’s been the wife of a celebrity. She’s had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine. She has tremendous benefit from it, but we’re uneven. I want to level that out. She deserves it.”

Cranston said they’ve been going to therapy together since before they were married.

“I look at it like the warning light going off on your dashboard. It’s telling you, ‘You might want to pay attention to this,’” he explained. “I love my wife, and we want to go the distance, but I want to do it in a healthy way. I don’t want to just be with her. I don’t want to just have the two of us go into a restaurant and no one says a word.”

The couple met in the 1980s while filming a scene on the CBS military drama “Airwolf.” Both were in other relationships when they met but found themselves dating soon after and tied the knot in 1989. They have one daughter, Taylor, who was born in 1993.

Dearden called Cranston “the funniest man I’d ever met” during a People interview in 2016.

“It was 30 years ago that we met on that terrible TV show,” Cranston said of their initial meeting. “It changed both of our lives.”

“I think it was serendipitous, because, as Robin says, if we had been unencumbered at the time and started dating, she doesn’t think that we would have stayed together,” he said. “But because she had a boyfriend and I had a girlfriend, we were able to flirt without the heavy sexual tension, but there was sexual tension, let me tell you! But not the heavy sexual tension, not the ‘faux pas’ sexual tension, but it was there.”
