Britney Spears took a swipe at paparazzi in her new collaboration with rapper Will.i.am, titled “Mind Your Business,” which dropped Friday night, making it her second musical release since the termination of her conservatorship in 2021.
News of the 41-year-old singer and the Black Eyed Peas frontman working together dropped on Monday when the 48-year-old rapper dropped a teaser clip in a Tweet that read, “UH OH!!! You are Now rocking with Will.i.am and @britneyspears…”
The “Toxic” hitmaker opens the electronic song with a profanity-laced chorus before singing, “They follow me, follow me, follow me / Follow, follow me / Uptown, downtown / Everywhere I turn around …”
“Hollywood, London / Snap, snap is the sound/Paparazzi shot me/I am the economy,” according to the lyrics.
In the final verse, Spears threatens the shutterbugs to step back or else.

“If they don’t get up out my face, I’ll send the dogs out (Woof)/Five seconds and then the dogs come out (Woof)/You know what happens when the dogs come out/None of your business-ness.”
Will.i.am and Spears previously worked together on 2011’s “Big Fat Bass,” 2012’s “Scream & Shout,” and 2013’s “Work B*tch,” Page Six noted.
The song is the “Womanizer” hitmaker’s second song since a judge terminated her conservatorship in November 2021. Her first was a collaboration with legendary singer Elton John in 2022 for a reimagined version of his 1971 hit “Tiny Dancer” called “Hold Me Closer.”
“Hold Me Closer” shot up to the number one spot on the iTunes chart in just a few hours after it was released in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Fox News noted.
The official video on YouTube went viral too and currently has 15 million views and counting.
Spears made headlines recently with news that her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” is set to hit bookshelves on October 24, 2023.

The pop singer’s tell-all memoir was picked up by publisher Gallery Books (an imprint of Simon & Schuster), People Magazine noted. A press release describes Spears’ book as “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.”
She later confirmed the news on social media in a video, giving fans a sneak peek of the book’s cover.
“It’s coming. My story. On my terms. At last,” the words across Spears’ video read. “Are you ready?”
