Britney Spears is back on Instagram and railing against the entertainment industry and anyone involved in her previous conservatorship.
The 40-year-old pop star is fresh off releasing a new single in collaboration with Elton John, but she claims to be done with the industry anyway. Spears is still furious over being legally bound by a conservatorship for nearly 14 years. In a since-deleted Instagram post, the singer shared her feelings of resentment.
She didn’t mince words, saying she would “rather stay home and s*** in my f***ing pool than join the entertainment business.”
“After 14 years of telling me no to what I wanted… it’s ruined for me… but that wasn’t the worst part… the worst part was my family locking me up in that place for 4 months… Jesus f***ing Christ…,” she wrote in the lengthy post.
“[N]o car, own security of 5 years telling me at my own door I can’t walk outside for 4 months…no door for privacy… and watched me change naked and shower…,” the singer went on.
Next, Spears compared herself to fellow recording artist Jennifer Lopez, claiming the other singer would never get treated the same way as Spears.
“I’d like to see somebody tell Jennifer Lopez to sit down 8 hours a day 7 days a week,” Spears said.
“Her family would NEVER allow that,” she wrote, before saying she was “not going to play the victim” and sharing more expletives directed at everyone involved in her conservatorship.
The singer has been using social media to communicate her most personal feelings ever since the conservatorship ended. Spears recently directed a post at her two teen sons, with whom she’s had a complicated relationship over the years.
“I’ve tried my best at being the best person I can be … to be basically held hostage in homes under nurses and bulls***,” Spears wrote earlier this month, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
“I hope my kids one day understand my reasoning of my play in water revealing myself as any woman would being held under blankets and supervision under the conservatorship !!!”
“I helped your father who hasn’t had a job in 15 years … I assume it is easier for you guys not to have someone check on you to make sure you’re doing your homework!!!!” she continued elsewhere in the lengthy post.
“I’m sure the standards of your dad smoking weed every day benefits your daily life at 15 and 16 to partake in a VERY COOL GENERATION !!! I completely understand your need to live with your father as I had to play the perfect role for 15 years for absolutely nothing. I’m so happy I was able to carry 4 tours, judge X Factor and WAAAY more … I did that for you.”
“As for my mental health … my dear child understand you must learn to pick up a book and read one before you resort to even thinking about my intellect sweetheart !!!” she wrote at the time.
