Florida law enforcement officials responded to a shooting at a video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday, where nine people were reportedly shot and three were killed.

The shooting reportedly happened at Chicago Pizza during a Madden NFL online video gaming tournament, News4Jax reported.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the suspected gunman was a gamer who participated in the tournament, lost, and then committed suicide after shooting multiple people.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stressed that people need to stay away from the area as their SWAT team conducts a methodical search of the area.

A video emerged from the incident that showed the moment leading up to when the first shots were fired. The video shows a laser beam land on one of the players and then cuts off the moment the first shot is fired.

Florida Governor Rick Scott says he has spoken to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and offered the department the full support of the state’s resources.
