Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, has been quarantined after testing positive for the coronavirus, which originated in China.

“The Prime Minister is in good health with no symptoms. As a precautionary measure and following the advice of doctors, he will be in isolation for a planned period of 14 days,” the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement. “Also on the advice of doctors, he will not be tested at this stage since he has no symptoms. For the same reason, doctors say there is no risk to those who have been in contact with him recently.”

Sophie Trudeau later delivered a personal statement on the diagnosis, writing, “First, I’d like to say a big thank you to all of you who have reached out to me asking how I’m doing. Although I’m experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of the virus, I will be back on my feet soon. Being in a quarantine at home is nothing compared to other Canadian families who might be going through this and for those facing more serious health concerns.”

“We will get through this situation together,” the statement continued. “Please share the facts and take your health seriously. I send you all my courage and warm thoughts (but only ‘get better’ hugs from afar!)”

The announcement from Trudeau’s office comes as other high profile figures have announced in recent days that they have contracted the disease.

On Thursday, actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, gave an update on their condition after they revealed on Wednesday that they had been infected with the virus.

“Hello folks,” Hanks began. “Rita Wilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of is. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else.”

“There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness,” the statement continued. “We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?”

The Daily Wire reported that Hanks then appeared to make a reference to a quote that he said while staring in the 1992 movie “A League of Their Own.”

“Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball,” Hanks said.

Also on Thursday, Australia’s minister for Home Affairs, Peter Dutton, revealed that he had been infected with the virus, which comes after he met with Ivanka Trump, Attorney General William Barr, and White House Adviser Kellyanne Conway last week.

“The containment processes of self isolation, identifying and tracing of contacts, all of these measures worked to successfully slow the rate of transmission of this virus,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Friday. “And that’s why Australia right now is in a position where we have low rates of this virus and the number of cases that have presented. But we’ve always known that the number of cases will rise.”
