As The Daily Wire has reported, in another monstrous act of terrorism, on Sunday a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist, Khalil Jabarin, stabbed American Israeli Ari Fuld, 45, a father of four, to death from behind. Fuld saved an Israeli woman’s life even as he was dying, chasing and shooting the terrorist before he could attack her. The 17-year-old was lightly wounded and wound up in an Israeli hospital.
And guess what? Because the Palestinian Authority rewards Palestinians who murder Jews, not only has the terrorist’s family reportedly received over $3,300, they could reap over $1.7 million if the murderer receives a life sentence.
As The Washington Post reported in May 2017, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, who urged the United States, Europe and others to cut funding for the Palestinians, noted that Palestinian attackers sentenced to 30 years in Israeli jail get $3,000 a month. Since the murderer is only 17, there’s every possibility that he could serve at least 50 years in jail, which would amount to $1.8 million.
All too predictably, Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas acted outraged over the murder. The Times of Israel reported that after a meeting with former Israeli politicians, including former justice minister Yossi Beilin, a notorious leftist, Beilin told the Times of Israel that Abbas appeared “visibly angry about the attack.” Beilin claimed, “He said he’s against violence and while he supports an opposition to Israeli policies, he only supports a peaceful and non-violent one. He said everyone loses from violence.”
Beilin’s acceptance of Abbas’ supposed anger seems particularly naïve when you consider how the Palestinian Authority’s daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida covered Fuld’s murder; the headline of the article read: “Child Khalil Jabarin is wounded by gunfire and arrested based on the claim he killed a settler near ‘Etzion.’”
Additionally, The Jerusalem Post noted, “Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of Fatah, and the Resistance Committees also welcome the attack, stressing the necessity of resistance ‘against settlements, Judaization of the land, and occupation crimes.'” Al-Aqsa Martyr Brigades are the military arm of Fatah: Abbas is a member of Fatah.
In May 2017, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bluntly said to Abbas, “How can you speak about peace with Israel and at the same time pay murderers who spill the blood of innocent Israelis?” He added, “Fund peace, not murder,” according to Haaretz.
Danon was even more direct: “Put simply, this is official Palestinian blood money, rewarding terrorists who kill Jews.”
UPDATE: According to the latest reports, the Palestinian government has not made the roughly $3,300 payment to the family.
