“Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco recalled a recent experience she had on a flight, saying a fellow passenger made a disparaging remark about her 9-month-old daughter, Matilda.
The 38-year-old TV star discussed what happened during a Monday appearance on the late-night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” per Page Six.
“It was our first flight ever with this baby, which is terrifying. We were very terrified,” Cuoco told Kimmel.
“I thought, ‘What do we do? We have to bring her sound machine on the plane. It’s the only thing she can go to sleep to,” the actress continued, noting how Matilda was very fussy before she eventually fell asleep. “So she’s crying. It was hard,” she said. “She finally falls asleep and the sound machine is on and we were finally like [sighs].”
Shortly after the baby fell asleep, Cuoco said a flight attendant came over and said another passenger had requested that she turn off the sound machine.
“I’m sitting there like, ‘Oh, my God,’” she said. “I can feel Tom be like, ‘Hey, ask the passenger if she wants to hold our screaming child when we turn it [off],’” she continued, describing her boyfriend Tom Pelphrey’s reaction. “The ice went into his veins,” she added.

Cuoco said she eventually figured out who complained.
“It was the woman right in front of us [who complained],” the actress said. Next, she described what happened when Matilda woke up in a better mood. “The lady turns around and goes, ‘Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile.’”
This revelation made the “Kimmel” audience collectively gasp.
“It was in that moment where I understood why women end up on ‘Dateline,’” Cuoco went on. “I could have strangled [her]…I could’ve thrown that woman off the plane.”
The Emmy Award nominee said that babies should be more accepted in society.
“You see all these things on social media where people are really, truly getting mad at these babies,” Cuoco said. “Like, justice for babies!” she added. “This is ridiculous … leave them alone!”
