<p>Less than an hour into a rocky debate performance for President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> on Thursday evening, a new report suggested the Democrat incumbent was suffering from illness.</p>
<p>&#8220;NEW: Two sources familiar with the situation say &#8216;President Biden has a cold,&#8221; NBC News senior White House correspondent Kelly O&#8217;Donnell <a href="https://x.com/KellyO/status/1806505436457189594" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a post to X at 9:50 p.m. ET.</p>
<p>Some commenters quickly scoffed at the idea.</p>
<p>&#8220;The entire Biden campaign team committed malpractice by not being out there for a week resetting expectations. This is not spinable now,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/whignewtons/status/1806507510880190549" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> ABC News contributor Sarah Isgur, who is a former Trump Department of Justice spokesperson.</p>
<p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t realize that a cold caused mumbling, stuttering, or staring at nothing for extended periods of time&#8230;&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/RepAndyBiggsAZ/status/1806508959466926497" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quipped</a> Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ).</p>
<p>Fox News contributor Joe Concha <a href="https://x.com/JoeConchaTV/status/1806509399952826564" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, &#8220;Oh Kelly, this is why zero people trust your news organization.&#8221;</p>

<p>O&#8217;Donnell followed up with another post that <a href="https://x.com/KellyO/status/1806507435655348729" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>, &#8220;More: multiple sources say the president was given COVID test and is negative for COVID.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Associated Press <a href="https://x.com/AP/status/1806503043736764675" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Biden was sounding &#8220;raspy&#8221; and made &#8220;several verbal missteps&#8221; during the first half hour of the face-off hosted by CNN.</p>
<p>Former President Donald Trump, it added, &#8220;countered with falsehoods.&#8221;</p>
<p>Biden spent a week at Camp David to prepare for the debate.</p>
