Street Artist’s Protests Leftism With Hilarious Bikini-Burqa Clinton Mural

An Australian “street artist” named Lushsux poked fun at reflexive left-wing sensibilities following complaints of a mural he painted depicting Hillary Clinton in a bikini. The initial mural was inspired by a widely shared online meme seen below.

The local council of Maribyrnong said the mural violated its “gender equity policy.”
“We believe that this mural is offensive because of the depiction of a near-naked woman, not on the basis of disrespect to Hillary Clinton, and it is not in keeping with our stance on gender equity,” said Stephen Wall, the city council’s chief executive.
“Whether it’s Hillary or any woman, I find it highly offensive: highly sexualized and it’s inappropriate,” concurred City Councilor Sarah Carter.

Lushsux explained his remake of the mural with a subtle rebuke of faux left-wing outrage.

“I think it would be better to repaint it as a beautiful Muslim woman,” said Lushsux. “No one could be offended by that. If you were, you would be a racist, bigot, Islamophobic and xenophobic. I think it’s most likely the best way to fix the problem with the council, because it would not know what to do.”

Lushsux also did a redo of a mural initially depicting a nude Melania Trump.
