A staffer from the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., confirmed in exclusive audio from Libs of TikTok that it performs so-called gender-affirming hysterectomies on girls younger than 16 years old.
Children’s National Hospital on Thursday evening told The Daily Wire via email that it is does “not provide gender-affirming surgery for anyone under the age of 18,” and confirmed it doles out hormone therapy to children, but not “before puberty.”
“[Children’s National Hospital] admits in damning audio recording that they do ‘gender affirming’ hysterectomies on minors including 16-year-olds and ‘younger kids,’” Libs of TikTok captioned audio of the apparent confirmation.
In the audio, a staffer from the hospital’s gender clinic tells the caller, Chaya Raichik, that her 16-year-old daughter would be able to get a gender-affirming hysterectomy at the clinic.
“So they would do it for that age?” Raichik asks, posing as the mother of a gender-confused 16-year-old girl.
“Yes,” the staffer replies.
“Okay, great,” Raichik responds. “Is it a common procedure that you guys do for that age?”
“Yes, we have all different types of age groups that come in for that,” the hospital worker says.
“For the hysterectomy?” Raichik asks again. “Yes, ma’am,” the staffer confirms.
“Just out of curiosity, what’s the youngest age you would do it on?” Raichik presses.
“I’m not sure, but I have seen younger kids,” the staffer replies. “Due to HIPAA I’m not allowed to say that, but I have seen younger kids, younger than your child’s age.”

Libs of TikTok said the hospital faced increased scrutiny after the journalist “stumbled across” the Children’s National’s website, which boasts that it “treats young patients between the ages of 0 and 21 for gynecology care and gender-affirming medical treatments, including hysterectomies.”
Children’s National Hospital told The Daily Wire on Thursday that it “is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all and to serving our LGBTQ+ patients and families in the full spectrum of their care.”
“We do not provide gender-affirming surgery for anyone under the age of 18,” a statement from the hospital’s media team said. “We do not provide hormone therapy to children before puberty begins. Care is individualized for each patient and always involves families making decisions in coordination with a team of highly trained pediatric specialists.”
Asked about the person heard in the audio clip, the hospital’s media team told The Daily Wire that the “recording posted to Twitter by this activist group reflects a call with hospital operators not anyone who delivers care to our patients.”
“To reaffirm, we do not provide gender-affirming surgery for anyone under the age of 18,” the hospital said. “We do not provide hormone therapy to children before puberty begins.”
“Care is individualized for each patient and always involves families making decisions in coordination with a team of highly trained pediatric specialists,” the statement added.
The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh last week focused-in on medical professional in the U.S. providing transgender so-called care that is irreversibly damaging children, and specifically called on doctors to be public about their criticisms with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Walsh said on “The Matt Walsh Show” that he routinely hears from pediatricians and doctors who are against hormone blockers and the medical transitioning of children, but their anonymity is not helpful.
“It’s good, but it’s not nearly enough,” Walsh said. “And I understand [you’d] be putting your career on the line. That takes a lot of courage … but that is what’s required.”
“I know that there are some listening to me right now,” the “What is a Woman?” documentarian continued. “And what I want to say to you is that it is not good enough to be anonymous. You have a responsibility to speak up publicly and put your name on it.”
“And if you want to do that and you want a platform, if you’re ready and willing to come out publicly and speak out against this stuff — especially if you’re a member of the the American Academy of Pediatrics — and you’re ready to do the right thing with your name on it, then reach out to me,” Walsh offered. “I’ll make sure that your concerns are heard, because when you voice them anonymously on message boards and in comment sections and you send private emails to conservative podcasters, it doesn’t do anything.”
“You’re the first line of defense,” he asserted. “You’re the people that we need.”
