Actor and comedian Marlon Wayans slammed cancel culture in a new interview that was published late last week, vowing to never censor his work or his thoughts.

Wayans, 50, is known for his roles in “White Chicks,” “Scary Movie,” Requiem for a Dream,” and “Marmaduke.”

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Wayans defended the comedy “White Chicks,” a movie about two black FBI agents that go undercover as two white women.

When asked by BuzzFeed whether he thought that a movie like “White Chicks” could “thrive” in today’s political climate, Wayans responded, “I think they’re needed.”

“I don’t know what planet we’re on, where you think people don’t need laughter, and that people need to be censored and canceled,” he said. “If a joke is gonna get me canceled, thank you for doing me that favor.”

Wayans said that he has no intention of listening to those who are afraid of how the woke mob might respond online.

“It’s sad that society is in this place where we can’t laugh anymore,” Wayans continued. “I ain’t listening to this damn generation. I ain’t listening to these folks: These scared-ass people, these scared executives.”

Wayans said that those who want to censor their content as to not offend people should be free to do so and that if they decide that they want to make more money by not caring and giving society the politically incorrect humor that it wants that they should “jump on board.”

“Y’all do what you want to do? Great,” he said. “I’m still gonna tell my jokes the way I tell them. And if you want to make some money, jump on board. And if not, then I’ll find a way to do it myself. I know my audience. My audience comes to my shows every weekend and they leave feeling great and laughing. One thing about the Wayans, we’ve always told the worst joke the best way.”

The New York Post noted that just last year, Wayans said that it was time to make a sequel to “White Chicks.”

“I think ‘White Chicks 2’ is necessary,” Wayans told Variety in an interview. “I think we’ve tightened up so much that we need to loosen our ties a bit and laugh a little bit.”

“I don’t think Hollywood understands what a juggernaut ‘White Chicks 2’ would be,” Wayans added. “And the world just keeps giving us more. ‘White Chicks 2’ is writing itself.”
