Meghan McCain blasted Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams as “a very sick person” over her claim that unborn babies have no fetal heartbeat at six weeks.
The former cohost of “The View” reacted Thursday to video of Abrams telling a group of people that doctors are “faking fetal heartbeats.”
“Hearing my babies heartbeats at six weeks is hands down one of the most exciting, liberating and most beautiful moments of my entire life,” McCain tweeted to her hundreds of thousands of followers. “Hands down.”
“Stacey Abrams is a very sick person to say this and somehow accuse doctors of faking fetal heartbeats,” she added. “Full stop.”

The former Fox News cohost included a retweet of the clip of Abrams’ remarks from Tuesday at the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center in Atlanta. In the video, the GA Democrat said, “There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks.”
“It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body in place of her,” Abrams added, as the others on the panel nodded in agreement.
However, many scholars, scientists, and doctors agree that an unborn child’s heart typically starts beating around six weeks gestation, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

McCain recently announced that she and her husband, Ben Domenech, are expecting their second child together after welcoming daughter Liberty Sage in September 2020. The couple got married in 2017.

“We’re all feeling very blessed, lucky and happy,” Meghan captioned her post on Instagram. “Thank you all for all the kindness! Ben is soon to be outnumbered by girls in our house 3 to 1 this winter…”
McCain has been very open on social media about her life as a mom, her pregnancy, and even the miscarriage she and her husband suffered before she became pregnant with Liberty.
In March, she tweeted to her followers that the “biggest and worst lie” she said her generation was sold was that being a mother is a “burden.”
