<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It all started on </span><a href="https://x.com/MeghanMcCain/status/1896914200791838737"><span style="font-weight: 400;">X</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> when the former co-host of “The View” shared the news that </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">19-year-old female volleyball player Payton McNabb, who sustained a traumatic brain injury after a transgender-identifying male spiked a volleyball into her head, was invited to be a special guest of President Donald Trump’s at his Joint Address to Congress on Tuesday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">I have had the pleasure of meeting Payton &#8211; she is incredibly smart, strong and brave. Both she and her family have been through the unthinkable,” McCain’s post read.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Democrats defending young women suffering from traumatic brain injuries as a result of trans athletes is why they will continue losing every election,” she added, noting how Democrats in the Senate blocked the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act&#8221; on Monday.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In response, Cohen took to </span><a href="https://x.com/Andy/status/1896926410822013308"><span style="font-weight: 400;">X</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and wrote, “surprised you’re buying into the vilification of the trans community given the real problems happening in this country, your previous ally-ship of the lgbtq community, and the fact that this non issue affects about four people in this country.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">McCain hit back, </span><a href="https://x.com/MeghanMcCain/status/1896928345935466758"><span style="font-weight: 400;">writing</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, “Surprised you’re okay with violence against female athletes. Peyton suffered serious brain damage &#8211; just one story. You have my cell, always happy to talk privately or publicly on either of our shows because these conversations are reductive to hash out on social media.”</span></p>
<p>A short time later, McNabb saw Cohen&#8217;s dismissive post about the dangers of trans-identifying men playing in women&#8217;s sports and wrote on <a href="https://x.com/paytonmcnabb_/status/1897008078492454999" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X</a>, &#8220;Andy, calling the protection of women’s sports a ‘non-issue’ that affects ‘four people’ is not just dismissive—it’s factually wrong.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Hundreds of female athletes have lost podium spots, scholarships, and opportunities,&#8221; she added. &#8220;My own injury was life-changing. And even if it were just one girl, that’s one too many. This is about fairness and safety, not ‘vilification.'&#8221;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">McCain wasn&#8217;t the only person who slammed the move by Senate Democrats after </span>a motion to invoke cloture on Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s (R-AL) “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” failed on Monday by a <a href="https://x.com/CraigCaplan/status/1896714793031188630" target="_blank" rel="noopener">51-45</a> vote. A three-fifths majority — or 60 votes — was needed to cap the debate and proceed to a final vote for passage sometime in the future.</p>
<p>Other outspoken advocates for women’s sports, like <a href="https://x.com/megynkelly/status/1896751618697383986" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Megyn Kelly</a> and Riley Gaines, took to social media and said the Democrats should be shamed for failing to protect young girls.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The series is being mocked as inauthentic and overproduced, two factors McCain pointed out as well. She said its release is “tone deaf” in light of recent world events and people continuing to suffer the effects of inflation. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter, I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing. Like the rest of the world my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family,” McCain, 40, shared on X.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored. All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch,” she went on.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“There have been 2 terror attacks in 2 days, major wars raging and Americans can’t pay for groceries. We are a country in rage, uncertainty and intensity right now. This concept is ill advised. I would have told her to do a show helping bring fresh food to food deserts in low income neighborhoods. Do something to help people instead of your ego.”</span></p>

<p>Meghan McCain fired back after Ana Navarro — her former cohost on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; — appeared to toss a barb at her from the Hot Topics table on Thursday, accusing her of profiting from &#8220;influence peddling&#8221; in the same way that President Joe Biden&#8217;s embattled son Hunter had.</p>
<p>McCain, who left the show in 2021 due to what she called a &#8220;toxic&#8221; environment on set, took to X to fire back after Navarro made several pointed comments during the midday talk show&#8217;s broadcast.</p>
<p>&#8220;I don’t understand why my former colleagues @TheView @ABC bring me up and slander me on an almost weekly basis,&#8221; McCain posted. &#8220;It has been years — move on, I have.&#8221;</p>
<p>McCain went on to draw a clear line of distinction between her own life and that of Hunter Biden — who is currently at the center of a probe into alleged business dealings with foreign actors and multiple members of the Biden family, the president included.</p>
<p>&#8220;I have never been accused of a crime in my life and am a patriotic American — I would never and have never &#8216;influenced peddled&#8217; in my life, let alone with foreign adversaries. Not all politicians&#8217; children are the same — and I am no Hunter Biden,&#8221; McCain concluded, suggesting that her next step might be to pursue legal action. &#8220;All accusations are absurd, defamatory and slanderous. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 38-year-old mom of two discussed the situation in an </span><a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11772269/MEGHAN-MCCAIN-just-baby-Im-urged-miracle-shot-Ozempic-refuse.html"><span style="font-weight: 400;">op-ed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in The Daily Mail. McCain said she’d been encouraged to use the prescription drug Ozempic, which has become a hot topic of conversation as celebrities have been using it for weight loss. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The former co-host of “The View” just welcomed her second daughter, Clover Jade, on January 19. She and husband Ben Domenech also have a 2-year-old daughter named Liberty Sage.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I just gave birth and I&#8217;m being urged to take a &#8216;miracle shot&#8217; of Ozempic as a quick fix &#8230; It&#8217;s horrifying, unfair and disturbing — and I refuse,&#8221; the op-ed title proclaims.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The article says McCain has been asked about </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/obesity"><span style="font-weight: 400;">weight loss</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> even now, just four weeks postpartum, and that those people have been suggesting Ozempic specifically. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;In case you&#8217;re unaware, there is a craze sweeping the nation: a new &#8216;miracle&#8217; drug. One injection, once a week, for a cool $1,000 a pop, and you can just melt the pounds away,&#8221; she wrote.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Elon Musk says he uses it. Kyle Richards, of ‘Real Housewives’ fame, who recently flaunted newly emerged abs, has denied taking it. But fellow reality TV star Jackie Goldschneider claimed &#8216;a lot&#8217; of her fellow cast members are on it,&#8221; the columnist continued.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">McCain wrote that there are &#8220;people who legitimately struggle with obesity and need Ozempic. But I am not one of those people.&#8221; That’s why she was surprised when &#8220;casual friends&#8221; and &#8220;industry acquaintances&#8221; inquired if she planned to take it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;I&#8217;m told &#8216;everyone is doing it,&#8217; as if that was ever a compelling case,&#8221; she went on. &#8220;I hear, &#8216;Just take the shot,&#8217; as it has become known in shorthand. I was even offered a black market freebie by someone with &#8216;extra shots at home.'&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Well, let me make one thing very clear. I&#8217;m not taking it. I refuse,” McCain concluded. “There&#8217;s a clear moral issue here. It&#8217;s hard to take a drug because swimsuit season is around the corner, while others need it to stay alive. And how can this be healthy?&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ozempic is an anti-diabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and is also used to treat obesity. There have been shortages of the drug as it gains popularity in the Hollywood community and beyond as a so-called miracle weight loss drug that helps suppress appetite and slow down gastric emptying, which makes users feel fuller for longer.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s administered via a weekly injection. Recently, comedian Chelsea Handler admitted she was on Ozempic without realizing it. </span></p>

<p>Griffin made the comments during Monday&#8217;s broadcast of the midday talk show — which, with the exception of guests, is entirely hosted by women — and she argued that women still have room for improvement when it comes to supporting each other and having each other&#8217;s backs.</p>

<p>&#8220;I think that women have made a ton of progress, but we can also be each other&#8217;s worst enemies,&#8221; Griffin said. &#8220;It&#8217;s still the case and I hate to say it. Some of the worst bosses I&#8217;ve had have been women, and sometimes colleagues in the workplace who are women, and I always think of the Madeleine Albright quote, —&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Well, that&#8217;s what happens when you work with Kellyanne Conway,&#8221; Navarro interrupted.</p>

<p>And Griffin isn&#8217;t the only one to notice a toxic environment on the ABC show. Former cohost Candace Cameron Bure <a href="https://ew.com/tv/candace-cameron-bure-ptsd-hosting-the-view/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reflected</a> on her time at &#8220;The View&#8221; and said that there were times when, as the only conservative on the panel, she felt like a &#8220;punching bag.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;When I felt like I was going into a show that I didn&#8217;t have a clear opinion about or it was something that I was legitimately nervous to talk about because I did have an opinion about it but I knew I was the only one at the table that had my opinion, I would just get sick to my stomach. <p>McCain said that the more she dug into the company&#8217;s ad campaigns, the more upset she became. She noted that one photo from one of the ad campaigns showed &#8220;a handbag on top of a pile of scattered documents,&#8221; and that &#8220;one of the pages is from a Supreme Court decision on child pornography laws.&#8221;</p>
<p>She accused <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/balenciaga-apologizes-for-advertisement-showcasing-minors-holding-bdsm-teddy-bear-purses" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Balenciaga of trying</a> to &#8220;shift blame to the production company and set designer behind the shoot.&#8221; But she said the idea &#8220;that these highly produced and — without a doubt — expensive photo shoots were not closely supervised and reviewed by every executive, photo editor and stylist in the company just doesn&#8217;t fly.&#8221;</p>
<p>McCain then lashed out at those linked to the campaign and company, like Kidman and Kardashian.</p>
<p>&#8220;Nicole Kidman, also in the 2023 ad, reportedly hasn&#8217;t said a peep,&#8221; McCain wrote before noting that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kim-kardashian-slammed-for-statement-over-balenciaga-scandal-there-is-no-grey-area-here" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kardashian</a> did respond and vowed to re-evaluate her partnership with the fashion house.</p>
<p>&#8220;For the record, I think she&#8217;s a coward for not immediately cutting ties with Balenciaga and I predict this choice will haunt her for years,&#8221; McCain wrote of Kardashian. &#8220;The bottom line here is that grownups are supposed to protect children – period. And as a society, we seem to be failing the most innocent and vulnerable, who have no advocates but us.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Why in this instance are celebrities being so understanding?&#8221; she added. &#8220;I will never buy another piece of Balenciaga clothing ever again &#8230; I am not comfortable giving money to any company, who not only enables the sexual exploitation of children, but also doesn&#8217;t seem [capable] of taking responsibility for the heinous bile they have injected into society.&#8221;</p>

<p>The former co-host of &#8220;The View&#8221; wrote an op-ed for the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11267365/Trevor-Noah-ruining-Daily-MEGHAN-MCCAIN.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a> Friday, titled &#8220;I loved The Daily Show and Trevor Noah ruined it — the best comedy punches up at the powerful but today&#8217;s late-night hosts are too scared to be funny.&#8221;</p>
<p>In the piece, McCain shared that after Noah took over for late-night host Jon Stewart in 2015, the comedy show has &#8220;slogged into mediocrity and quite frankly, boredom&#8221; as she talked about the host being more interested in his “‘cool kid&#8217; clout in the media.&#8221;</p>

<p>“Imagine thinking this was a good idea,” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/they-suck-at-their-job-joe-rogan-says-after-stelter-canned-theyre-all-on-the-chopping-block">Rogan</a> shared with his 15.5 million followers.</p>
<p>Looking through comments to the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/theyre-fed-joe-rogan-says-canada-is-communist-now-being-led-by-a-fing-dictator">podcast host&#8217;s</a> post, many of his followers made it clear they didn&#8217;t realize the photo was real and thought it was just a meme going around.</p>
<p>Several other people noted how it looked like something from the “Star Wars” franchise, comparing Biden to Emperor Palpatine.</p>
<p>Even Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) noted the similarity.</p>

<p>And they weren&#8217;t the only ones. In <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/meghan-mccain">Meghan McCain&#8217;s</a> article Friday for the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/columnists/article-11173485/MEGHAN-MCCAIN-Bidens-unhinged-assault-MAGA-Republicans-throws-gas-fire-raging-country.html">Daily Mail</a>, she compared the president&#8217;s backdrop to that of a “dictator from a science fiction movie.”</p>
<p>“Look at the bizarre and apocalyptic optics of the speech,” the former cohost of “The View” wrote. “He stood at his podium in front of murky red lighting: this was the backdrop of a dictator from a science fiction movie, not the democratically elected President of America.”</p>

<p>The official Twitter account for the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire took a beating on Friday for suggesting that people should celebrate the death of the late Senator <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/biden-claims-he-never-said-anything-negative-about-john-mccain-he-lied/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John McCain</a> (R-AZ) as they would any other holiday.</p>
<p>The account posted a photo from the late senator&#8217;s funeral — with his daughter Meghan McCain standing beside the casket in tears — and added just two words by way of a caption: &#8220;Happy Holidays.&#8221;</p>

<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/meghan-mccain">Meghan McCain</a> shared that one of the big reasons she left &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/the-view">The View</a>&#8221; was because she &#8220;didn&#8217;t feel supported&#8221; after having her child, and returning to the show.</p>
<p>During her appearance Thursday on the &#8220;<a href="https://open.spotify.com/episode/7i8E2cp2iVhHewursVh1IY?si=amkP65USQXKbsXS2HG3s6A">The Commentary Magazine Podcast</a>,&#8221; McCain said the response she got from her former co-host Joy Behar and others after returning from maternity leave in January 2021 ultimately led to her walking away from the show. <p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meghan-mccain-calls-joy-behar-pathetic-for-trolling-former-view-co-hosts-valentines-day-tweet">McCain</a> said she got off the air, went back to her office and &#8220;vomited.&#8221; Meghan then called her brother and explained to him what had happened. The two came to the conclusion that the best thing for her was to leave because &#8220;it&#8217;s not worth it.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;And that was it,&#8221; the former co-host explained. “When Joy said on air after I came back from maternity leave &#8216;nobody missed you.’”</p>
<p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t feel supported when I had my baby,&#8221; she added. &#8220;And I didn&#8217;t feel supported coming back, and that was ultimately it,&#8221; she added. &#8220;So, that was why I left.&#8221;</p>
<p>The former talkshow co-host previously talked about her departure from the show. She explained that Behar’s response to her coming back after maternity leave was one of the reasons she decided that she was finished after four years as the lone conservative on the show.</p>
<p>&#8220;You missed me so much, Joy,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/if-you-want-to-fight-a-little-bit-more-ive-got-four-more-weeks-meghan-mccain-announces-resignation-from-the-view">McCain</a> joked on air at the time. &#8220;You missed me so much when I was on maternity leave … You missed fighting with me.&#8221;</p>
<p>Behar replied, &#8220;I did not. I did not miss you. Zero.&#8221;</p>
