8chan Went Offline After Company Protecting It Pulled Its Support, Report Says

On Monday, the online forum 8chan went offline when the company Cloudflare, which creates software that protects 8chan from cyberattacks, yanked its support, according to Fox News, which added that Cloudfare took action at 3 a.m. ET.

Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince issued a statement calling 8chan “a cesspool of hate.” Fredrick Brennan, the creator of 8chan, who had publicly called for 8chan to be shut down, thanked Cloudfare on Twitter:
