Just in time for Holocaust Remembrance day, on Monday, 50 student groups at New York University decided to pick up anti-Semitism where the Nazis left off, targeting the one Jewish state in the world by pledging to boycott all goods produced in Judea and Samaria as well as boycotting all Zionist groups on campus. Other groups targeted by the student groups include Birthright-Taglit, StandWithUs, Christians United for Israel, the Maccabee Task Force, Mosaic United, Zionist Organization of America, American Israeli Political Action Committee, and the Anti-Defamation League.
Sure enough, the coalition of groups was led by the virulently anti-Semitic group Students for Justice in Palestine, which was joined by other groups including the African Student Union, Asian American Women’s Alliance, Black Students Union, College Libertarians, Divest for Climate Justice, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), and Muslim Students Association.
The coalition parrots the lie that the State of Israel “continues its campaign of ethnic cleansing of Palestine” despite the fact that a) there has never been a nation called “Palestine” and b) Israel has Arab citizens, unlike areas controlled by Palestinian Arabs, which are Judenrein.
The signatories wrote, “We call on NYU to divest its holdings from companies and funds that are complicit in the Israeli occupation of Palestine. BDS demands action by Israel to comply with international law.”
Rebecca Stern, president of TorchPAC, said the groups that endorsed SJP’s campaign “ascribe to the notion of intersectionality, which is the interconnectivity of discrimination
Last year, student activists published a 50-page “NYU Disorientation Guide” that equated Zionism with racism.
