Critics mocked President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> over a resurfaced tweet from 2019, saying that what he had meant to be an attack on then-President Donald Trump turned out to be a prescient endorsement of his own impeachment.
Biden&#8217;s tweet, sent amid the furor over Trump&#8217;s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claimed that Democrats were right to impeach him for suggesting he&#8217;d withhold promised aid money and munitions if certain conditions were not met.
&#8220;President Trump withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to Ukraine unless they granted him a political favor,&#8221; Biden tweeted on October 18, 2019. &#8220;It&#8217;s the definition of quid pro quo. This is no joke — Trump continues to put his own personal, political interests ahead of the national interest. He must be impeached.&#8221;

But as a number of critics had pointed out, what Biden said on CNN on Wednesday — that he would withhold ammunition that had already been promised and approved by Congress if Israel mounted a ground offensive in Rafah — amounted to the same thing.
