Many celebrities are diehard leftists and were more than happy to share their opinions ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

These Hollywood stars are going on record with a final pitch for their preferred candidates, hoping their massive social media followings can help sway the outcome of some tight races.

Selena Gomez

Actress Selena Gomez put her support behind Beto O’Rourke (D) for governor of Texas.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Beto O’Rourke a few years ago and was so impressed by him,” she shared in Instagram stories. “For those of you in my home state of Texas, please vote for him!”

O’Rourke faces incumbent governor Greg Abbott (R) in The Lone Star State. Theirs is one of the most closely watched races in the nation.

Harry Styles

British singer Harry Styles also encouraged fans to vote for Beto. The 28-year-old “Watermelon Sugar” composer showed off a “Beto for Texas” sticker on his guitar at a recent concert in Austin. Footage of O’Rourke in the audience clapping was shown on the jumbo screen during the show.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry shared with her 78 million Instagram followers Monday that she voted for the billionaire businessman and developer Rick Caruso for Los Angeles mayor. Caruso is a former Republican who is running as a Democrat. He’s facing the far-left Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA).

“l am voting for a myriad of reasons (see the news) but in particular because Los Angeles is a hot mess atm,” she wrote in the caption of a video clip.

Chris Pratt

Actor Chris Pratt is also hoping Caruso is the answer for Los Angeles.

“I’ve lived in LA for over 20 years,” Pratt posted in his Instagram Stories on Sunday. “It’s been great to me. In that time I’ve seen what many residents here have seen, the city’s gradual decline into pain and utter disarray. If you live here, you know exactly what I’m talking about.”

Paul Rudd

Actor Paul Rudd endorsed Senate candidate John Fetterman (D-PA) by joining one of his fundraisers.

“Oh my gosh! Paul Rudd is doing a grassroots fundraiser with me on Wednesday night,” the official Fetterman account shared in October.

Fetterman is running against television personality Mehmet Oz (R) in another tight race for the Pennsylvania Senate seat.

Maren Morris

Country singer Maren Morris, who’s been warring with the conservative Aldeans, narrated an ad for the Democratic National Committee. The spot included footage from the music video for her 2019 song “Girl.”

Kacey Musgraves

Singer Kacey Musgraves brought Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke out onstage at her Austin concert over the weekend.

“Honestly, I could use a drink. Is there any beer or anything out there?” she asked the crowd. O’Rourke came out from backstage and handed Musgraves a bottle of beer.

Rob Schneider

Not all celebrities advocated for Democratic candidates. Actor Rob Schneider endorsed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake (R) Monday on his Twitter account.

“My family left California & moved to the free state of Arizona because individual liberties were trampled in the guise of liberalism which was just disguised authoritarianism,” he wrote. “The lives of Americans have been made more difficult under these Dem run states. I’m voting for Kari Lake.”

Lake is facing off with Katie Hobbs (D).

Oprah Winfrey

Winfrey joined Stacey Abrams (D-GA) for a chat on Abrams’ campaign website in October. Abrams hopes to defeat incumbent governor Brian Kemp (R) after losing to him in 2020.

“I’m wishing that the people of Georgia come out and make that a reality for you and the state of Georgia,” the talk show host said.

Winfrey also endorsed John Fetterman in the Pennsylvania Senate race despite having a long working relationship with Republican candidate Mehmet Oz.

Cher

Singer Cher endorsed multiple Democratic candidates with video messages.

“In this election, what happens in Vegas won’t stay in Vegas,” the artist said in a Twitter video post endorsing Catherine Cortez Masto (D) for senator of Nevada. In a separate video, Cher also put support behind incumbent Kathy Hochul (D) for governor of New York.

Cortez Masto faces opponent Adam Laxalt (R) in another closely watched race. Meanwhile, Hochul hopes to defeat Lee Zeldin (R) in New York.

Chelsea Handler

To the surprise of no one, leftist comedian Chelsea Handler encouraged fans to vote Democrat across the board, plus specifically endorsed some candidates, including Lina Hidalgo for judge in Harris County, Texas.

“She can use any donation you can afford to get re-elected. I am donating,” Handler tweeted.

The Chicks

Country group The Chicks shared a clip from their ACL Festival performance featuring lead singer Natalie Maines wearing a t-shirt with Ruth Bader Ginsburg on it.

“Do you have a mother? Do you have a daughter? Do you have a sister? Do you have a girlfriend? Vote Beto! If there is a female in your life that you care about, vote for Beto,” she told the crowd while advocating for O’Rourke in Texas.

Heather Graham

“Austin Powers” actress Heather Graham made abortion a top issue while endorsing Mandela Barnes (D) for Senate and Tony Evers (D) for governor in Wisconsin. The actress told Twitter followers that their votes matter “so much” and that they should have abortion on their minds while casting ballots.

“Wisconsin has the oldest anti-abortion law in the country preventing a lot of doctors from providing abortions to women and is one of the tightest races this election,” Graham wrote in a video caption of herself wearing a shirt that said, “I will aid and abet abortion.”

Barnes is looking to defeat Ron Johnson (R), while Evers opposes Tim Michels (R).

Jimmy Kimmel

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel endorsed Cortez Masto (D) in the Nevada Senate race. The comedian shared a video endorsement on Twitter.

“If there’s one thing I think we can all still agree on, it’s that unbalanced people don’t belong in the Senate. And that’s why I am not endorsing Adam Laxalt,” he began, claiming that “14 members of Laxalt’s own family back his opponent, Catherine Cortez-Masto. Why? Because they know him.”

“Forget what side you are on. Nevada needs a sane person in the Senate. Catherine Cortez Masto. I know her. We both went to Clark High School. She’s a good person, a hard worker. And guess what? Her family is voting for her,” he concluded.

John Legend

Leftist singer John Legend endorsed Stacey Abrams in the Georgia gubernatorial race. He shared on Twitter:

“Georgia voters: I am campaigning for Stacey Abrams for Governor! We’ve seen how hard Stacey has worked for ALL Georgians. So now, let’s make history on November 08. VOTE!”

Kerry Washington

“Scandal” actress Kerry Washington also wants Abrams as governor of Georgia. She posted a video of herself dancing on Instagram, which included the text, “A woman who wants fair elections and voting rights for all.”

The video included footage of Abrams also dancing alongside text that said, “The woman who is fighting to get it done for Georgia.”

Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen shared on Twitter Monday that Senate candidate Trudy Busch Valentine (D-MO) is “not beholden to anyone but you.!”

Valentine is running against Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt (R).

Mark Ruffalo

Actor Mark Ruffalo has been an activist for years, so it’s no surprise he’s spent a long time during this election cycle endorsing Democratic candidates.

“Vote like tomorrow may be the last time your vote is ever counted again! #VoteBlue,” he shared to Twitter,  endorsing Kathy Hochul in the New York governor race and Antonio Delgado for Lieutenant Governor in the state.

Lin-Manuel Miranda

“Hamilton” composer Lin-Manuel Miranda also endorsed multiple Democratic candidates, including Beto O’ Rourke and Democratic Attorney General candidate Rochelle Garza in Texas.

“I’m here because I believe Latinos can change this country,” Miranda said. “We are our brother’s keepers and our sister’s keepers, and we are supposed to have each other’s back. It always seems impossible until it is done.”

Miranda also attended a rally for Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in Atlanta.

Barbara Streisand

Singer Barbara Streisand wants John Fetterman to become the senator for Pennsylvania.

“John Fetterman deserves credit for debating while still recovering from a stroke,” she shared on Twitter in late October. “He will recover and make a fine Senator while Dr. Oz will always be the man who wants a ‘local official’ in the room when a woman discusses her own healthcare with her doctor.”
