Well, the RNC is over! And I think we’ve seen just about enough of what the Republican party has been reduced to under the so-called leadership of Donald Trump. It’s time for America to choose. Do we want a courageous leader like Joe Biden, who when he falls down, gets back up — whether he falls down going up a flight of stairs or trying to go up the flight of stairs again or even just walking across a room — he gets back up as many times as it takes to cross that room.
Or do we want to descend to the level of a man like Donald Trump who when he falls down — because, you know, he’s been shot in the head by a bullet from an AR-15 sniper rifle — sure, he gets back up, but then he spits the bullet out, and shakes his fist at death and shouts, “Fight, fight, fight,” which frankly is just divisive.
I, for one, was appalled by the RNC and its rampant display of Christian white nationalism, and Sikh white nationalism, and bi-racial rapper woman white nationalism, and even black white nationalism from people like Tim Scott who has so internalized white supremacy that he expects to be treated just like everybody else. It’s disgusting.
And then there was Vivek Ramaswamy — and who even knows what the hell color he is with a name like that. It must be seven syllables at least, the guy could be purple for all we know. And this Rama whatever-his-name-is had the gall to stand up at the RNC and say that Americans should be able to disagree with one another openly and then still treat each other with respect, which is against everything the Democrat party stands for. Democrats understand that here in America, people are free to disagree with us, then be called racist, then be banned from YouTube and other social media, then be summoned to HR, fired from their jobs, and have their homes raided in the early morning hours by armed federal agents so they can be charged with any crime we can drum up, then spend the rest of their lives being harassed by screeching men with pink hair, face piercings and tattoos, who are taking female hormones until they turn into screeching women with pink hair, face piercings and tattoos who are indistinguishable from all the other Democrat voters.
We will not allow some purple-faced Vivek Hamahooney to weaponize the First Amendment by using it to give a voice to people with other opinions than our own. That’s not who we are as Americans.

While Republicans were at the RNC, wearing silly cowboy hats and screaming belligerently about their radical MAGA agenda of cutting taxes and standing up to our enemies, our president Joe Biden was having a civilized conversation with NBC’s Lester Holt. And sure, we couldn’t understand what he was saying half the time either, but the point is, he was setting a good example by sitting right there in close proximity to an almost black man and condemning Donald Trump for saying there would be a bloodbath and there were good people on both sides of the Charlottesville riots. And it was incredibly inspiring to see how Lester Holt respected this president so much that he didn’t once interrupt him to point out that none of that was true, which is what we expect from journalists. Because as Democrats, we believe that, if you don’t nod with servile conformity while we’re lying to you, you ain’t black. Or whatever Lester Holt is, you ain’t that either. Basically, if you don’t nod with servile conformity while we’re lying to you, as far as we’re concerned, you ain’t a journalist at all, no matter what color you are.
So in conclusion, I am personally calling for four more years of Joe Biden, or whatever fraction of that time he’s got left. Because as President Biden himself said in his speech to the NAACP, “This country is gala-zeeben anyway to garoon the finchin fanchin booben deebee dobby.” And that’s exactly why President Biden will remain the Democrat candidate. Because we Democrats know that if you ever understand what we’re actually saying, we’re in deep trouble.

GOP politicians who have been mentioned as possible candidates former President Trump might pick as his running mate offered their comments during and after Trump’s debate with President Joe Biden on Thursday night, focusing on Biden’s failing capacity to communicate and what that indicated about the danger of him being reelected.
Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio told <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/video/sen-marco-rubio-trump-debate-performance/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS News</a>, “The president tonight, President Biden, looked ways that I think are concerning not just for Democrats but for America because our adversaries are seeing this broadcast too. And may conclude that they can take advantage of whatever they conclude from it. That’s concerning, and that’s something that will be relevant to a lot of people watching this from a political angle. But at the core is just that choice; there’s no question from the economy to public safety to our standing in the world, our country was stronger and better off when Trump was president.”

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said over the weekend that President Joe Biden is the greatest threat to democracy that the U.S. faces — not former President Donald Trump.
Scott made the remarks during a Sunday ABC News interview with Jonathan Karl on &#8220;This Week&#8221; while talking about the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Scott said that he believes that any of the rioters who attacked police officers should face punishments for their actions.
&#8220;The question is for those nonviolent folks who sat outside, who actually simply protested or came into the Capitol because the doors were open, and created no crime, no challenges, those folks today sitting crime in pretrial. That&#8217;s a devastation,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Some of those have been in pretrial incarcerated for longer than the sentence attached to that crime.&#8221;
&#8220;The greatest threat to democracy today is Joe Biden,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It started back when he became president. We saw a botched Afghanistan withdrawal where 13 Americans lost their lives. We&#8217;ve seen a wide-open, insecure, unsafe southern border with sleeper cells likely in our country, over 100,000 Chinese nationals crossing our southern border, men from Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan now populating our country. Part of the 10 million illegal immigrant invasion.&#8221;

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) defended former President Donald Trump during a combative interview over the weekend with a partisan news host.
Scott&#8217;s Sunday interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; started out with the vice presidential hopeful hitting President Joe Biden over the violent crime that has rocked inner cities throughout his administration.
&#8220;What we need to focus on is the violence that we&#8217;re seeing across this nation,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;Under Joe Biden we&#8217;ve seen the greatest increase in violent crime in my lifetime. And so focusing on ways for us to reduce that crime means getting four more years of Donald Trump. Under Donald Trump we actually respected law enforcement. Under Joe Biden, we&#8217;ve seen the movement to defund the police, leaving communities like the one I grew up in devastated and ravaged by a wave of violent crime that we have not seen literally in five decades.&#8221;
Karl claimed that violent crime was &#8220;actually down&#8221;, which is only <a href="https://www.themarshallproject.org/2023/11/03/violent-crime-property-data-nibrs-ucr-fbi-2022">partially</a> true. The statement also fails to put things into context, namely that violent crime is up under Biden even if it came down from his previous high a year earlier.
&#8220;Let&#8217;s take a look at those crime rates,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We&#8217;ve seen over 4,000 shootings just in the city of Chicago. We&#8217;ve seen a spike in violent crime. It&#8217;s nice to see something plateau.&#8221;
He said that neighborhoods like the ones he grew up in never had the crime problems that they face today as mothers today are &#8220;trapped in their houses from the time the sun goes down until it comes up again.&#8221;
He said that the American people want the southern border closed after &#8220;10 million illegal immigrants have invaded our country&#8221; and people want to see strong U.S. foreign policy again.

Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tim-scott" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tim Scott</a> (R-SC) slammed far-left commentator Elie Mystal on Friday after Mystal claimed this week that black Republicans existed solely because &#8220;the grift is good.&#8221;
Mystal made the remarks during an appearance on MSNBC&#8217;s &#8220;The ReidOut&#8221; with controversial host Joy Reid while discussing the latest left-wing hit piece to be published against conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
Scott responded to the remarks during a Fox News interview on Friday with Trace Gallagher.
&#8220;Hear me clearly, they are shaking in their boots,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;What you hear is fear. It&#8217;s palpable. Why? Because without the black vote, there is no Democrat Party. President Trump is not playing racial politics, but he is aware that America builds a better future together. He is aware that making sure that all Americans have a chance to live their version of the American dream, it&#8217;s good for our country.&#8221;
&#8220;So absolutely, the Left, they&#8217;re losing their minds because they&#8217;re losing their voters,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It&#8217;s good news for our future, and it&#8217;s great news for right now. Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump&#8217;s</a> campaign has reportedly requested documents from several individuals who he is considering to be his vice presidential running mate.
Among those who have so far received requests are North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), and former cabinet member Ben Carson.
Those listed may not be the only ones who have contacted thus far as ABC News <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/vp-contenders-burgum-vance-rubio-asked-documents-trump/story?id=110870278" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that &#8220;others are likely to be considered for the No. 2 job.&#8221; The Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-vp-paperwork-vetting-b1e21a7e9eae7141c4f144735671b330" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the list is &#8220;fluid and evolving,&#8221; meaning that it will likely change as Trump sees fit.
A Trump campaign spokesperson said that &#8220;anyone claiming to know who or when President Trump will choose his VP is lying, unless the person is named Donald J. Trump.&#8221;
Polling last month from an I&amp;I/TIPP Poll indicated that 15% of Republican voters choose Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as their first choice for VP, while 14% choose him as their second choice for VP — both numbers were the highest of all the candidates listed.
Out of the candidates who were listed by the Associated Press, Carson had the highest ranking for first choice in the poll at 5%, followed by Scott at 4%, Rubio at 2%, and the remaining contenders at 1% or less.
Another name that has generated headlines in recent weeks and might be moving up Trump&#8217;s board for contenders is Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), especially after his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tom-cotton-blasts-manhattan-prosecution-theres-no-question-donald-trump-should-win-on-appeal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passionate defense</a> of Trump during a Sunday interview on NBC News.

Numerous rumored top Republican vice presidential candidates reacted strongly to the guilty verdict in the controversial criminal trial against former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> on Thursday, warning that the case sets a dangerous precedent for the country.
The decision is the culmination of a weeks-long courtroom battle in which Trump said that he was the target of a “political persecution” — a point that was seemingly validated when President Joe Biden sent his campaign to hold a political event outside the courthouse this week as he runs another campaign for a second term in the White House. The former president was found guilty on all 34 charges brought in the hush-money trial.

&#8220;Here&#8217;s what I can tell you, is that under Donald Trump, we were better off,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;There are two things that are driving black votes back to Donald Trump, jobs and justice. Number one, under Donald Trump, our wages were going up. Right now, fairness is going down. But if you&#8217;re really concerned about racial justice in America, let&#8217;s not forget, Joe Biden is the guy that talked about racial jungles as a result of desegregation.&#8221;
&#8220;Let&#8217;s not forget the fact that Joe Biden is the president who said, &#8216;if you don&#8217;t vote for me, you can&#8217;t be black&#8217;, an old white dude telling me I can&#8217;t be black if I don&#8217;t vote for him,&#8221; he said. &#8220;This is the president who said that if — that the Republican Party wants to put you back in chains.&#8221;
&#8220;The only person I have seen restraining black folks economically is the Joe Biden economy,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;So, I find it quite insulting to suggest that Joe Biden does not have serious concerns, when his own vice president, Kamala Harris, said he supported segregation. And if you look in cities like Chicago today, the elimination of charter schools under Joe Biden resegregates schools in America. We need four more years of common sense under Donald Trump, and not four more years of segregation under Joe Biden.&#8221;

Tim Scott: There Are 2 Things That Are Driving Black Voters To Trump

Multiple Republicans have called for President Joe Biden to submit to a drug test before debating former president Donald Trump.
Advocates to drug test the president often cite his performance during his State of the Union speech earlier this year — when the 81-year-old seemed exceptionally lively compared to other public appearances.
Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina was asked on Fox News’ &#8220;Sunday Morning Futures&#8221; if Biden should take a drug test before the debate, to which he <a href="https://x.com/atrupar/status/1792201724062490828" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded</a>: “Why not?”
“The truth of the matter is if you saw the State of the Union and you watched that performance, it was surreal. There was something going on, and if we could find the truth of what it was, we’re all better off,” Scott said. “If it takes artificial stimulation to make the President of the United States perform, how often can he do that?”
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida also <a href="https://x.com/realannapaulina/status/1792215668529484067" target="_blank" rel="noopener">called</a> for Biden to be drug tested ahead of the debate.
&#8220;We’re talking about someone who has the ability to launch nukes,” Luna said. She added that questions over Biden’s mental competence are the reason House Republicans are seeking audio recordings of the president’s interview with former special counsel Robert Hur – recordings that the White House has claimed executive privilege over.
Trump is the highest profile Republican to call for Biden to drug test, highlighting concerns that Biden’s cognitive abilities have declined significantly with age.
“I just want to debate this guy … and I’m going to demand a drug test too, by the way,” Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-says-he-will-demand-biden-take-a-drug-test-before-debate-he-was-high-as-a-kite-during-sotu" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> during a rally in Minnesota last week. “I am. No, I really am.”
“I don’t want him coming in like the State of the Union. He was high as a kite,” Trump added. “I said is that Joe up there? … And by the end of the evening … he was exhausted, right? No, we’re going to demand a drug test.”
North Carolina Rep. Greg Murphy, a trained surgeon, <a href="https://news.grabien.com/story/greg-murphy-claims-biden-must-ve-been-jacked-up-on-something-at-the-so" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> last week that Biden “must have been jacked up on something” during the speech.
“I absolutely believe that from a medical viewpoint, actually I have a little bit of good knowledge that that happened. He can&#8217;t stand it. He can&#8217;t stand under the lights for that long. And I don&#8217;t think he can keep a concept in his brain that long,” Murphy said.

Republicans Say Biden Should Be Tested For ‘Artificial Stimulation’ Before Debate

Sen. Tim Scott (R-FL) slammed NBC News host Kristen Welker this week for trying to run cover for the Democratic Party&#8217;s extreme stance on abortion.
The exchange happened during a Sunday interview on &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; when Welker asked Scott about former President Donald Trump&#8217;s position of leaving the issue up to the states.
&#8220;Well, there&#8217;s no doubt that the Dobbs decision sent it back to the states,&#8221; he said. &#8220;So, the Supreme Court has ruled, the leading candidate, our Republican nominee, has made it very clear that this is a state&#8217;s issue. That is the decision that will be made and we will see how the states handle it. But there&#8217;s no question that President Trump has been very clear that he wants to issue left to the states, with three exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother.&#8221;
Scott said that he stands by his view that there should be a 15-week limit on abortions and that he has &#8220;certainly not changed about my position whatsoever.&#8221;
&#8220;The fact of the matter is that every single Democrat in the Senate and in the House have voted for abortion up until the day of birth,&#8221; he noted. &#8220;The former governor of Virginia has said – he was a pediatrician – even infanticide. So, stopping late term abortions is something that 90% of Americans actually believe in –&#8221;
Welker immediately interrupted and claimed: &#8220;Democrats don’t support – that’s false, senator. Democrats don’t support infanticide.&#8221;
&#8220;Kristen, they’ve already voted for it,&#8221; Scott noted.
Welker responded: &#8220;Senator, no, no, no. Senator, but as you know, late term abortions are exceedingly rare.&#8221;
&#8220;They voted for abortions up until the day of birth,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;I’m just telling you what they voted for.&#8221;
&#8220;Kristen, you cannot deny the fact that the Democrats have voted – not talked about, but voted – for abortions until the day of birth. That is a fact,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;You can look that up in the records of Congress. So, I’m not talking about hypotheticals. You continue to bring me hypotheticals. The truth is, and I got to say, this is kind of – kind of interesting, the truth is simple. The Democrats are radical. 90% of Americans don’t agree with them.&#8221;

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said the recent anti-Israel protests on college campuses are comparable to what America experienced at universities during the 1960s with demonstrations against the Vietnam War.
Scott made the remarks during a Sunday interview on NBC News&#8217;s &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; with Kristen Welker when asked if he supported the right to protest.
&#8220;Well, we certainly respect the right to peaceful protest,&#8221; he said. &#8220;What we&#8217;re seeing on college campuses, however, is too often not peaceful protest. There&#8217;s a reason why there&#8217;s been more than 2,000 arrests and detainments on college campuses. It&#8217;s because people are being hit. They&#8217;re vandalizing and they&#8217;re breaking into buildings.&#8221;
&#8220;What we have to understand is the anti-Semitism that we&#8217;re seeing on college campuses today is akin to what we saw in the 1960s,&#8221; he continued.
He said that Americans should be able to unite to condemn the anti-Semitism on college campuses.

I would simply say this to every college president and university in America: Your federal funding is a privilege. It is not a right. A right is for every Jewish kid on campus to walk to class safely. What is a right is for every Jewish kid to study in a library peacefully. We need to make sure that every student feels that kind of security on every campus in America.&#8221;

Among those who joined Trump on stage in the Grand Ballroom for a lunch event were Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Tim Scott (R-SC), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, all former 2024 presidential rivals now considered to be in the running for vice president, according to a post to X from his campaign.
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), and Reps. Byron Donalds (R-FL) and Wesley Hunt (R-TX), who have all been mentioned as part of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kellyanne-conway-offers-insight-into-trump-veepstakes-suggests-person-of-color" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Veepstakes</a> this election cycle, also attended.
Other Republicans who were present included House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Reps. Jim Banks (R-IN), who is running for Senate; Michael Waltz (R-FL); Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick; and Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno.
During the event, Trump recognized the RNC&#8217;s fundraising efforts and &#8220;enthusiasm&#8221; for his &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; movement, per his campaign. He spoke for around 90 minutes about the presidential race, election integrity, the economy, the border, and protests taking place on university campuses. He also touted Johnson&#8217;s work as a speaker and advocated for party unity.
