Hosts of “The View” made it clear that they weren’t happy that President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/robert-f-kennedy-jr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.</a> might crack down on weight loss drugs like Ozempic.
During Thursday’s episode of the <a href="https://x.com/NickFondacaro/status/1867244435374805225">ABC talk show</a>, cohost Whoopi Goldberg unleashed a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjyKWgFgqJI">rant</a> against RFK. Jr. whom she said plans to crack down on the off-label use of Ozempic by people who want to manage their weight because Americans are “addicted to drugs and weight loss should come from diet and exercise.”
“Why should a numbers cruncher with no medical background have any say? I don&#8217;t understand why you want to be in my business!&#8221; Goldberg said, as her cohosts Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines agreed.

Goldberg argued that managing weight wasn’t just about food and said sometimes people are “born genetically larger.”
“I want to say this to [RFK Jr.] because you’re setting folks up for shame,” Whoopi said. “That’s what you’re trying … maybe you don’t know you’re doing &#8230; I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt.”

“I’m gonna say you don’t realize what you do to people when you say [what you said] because it doesn’t work for everybody. I’m going to show you sir, because I weighed close to 300 pounds less than two years ago and without the Mounjaro, this would not have happened,” she added, before she stood up and showed off her slimmer physique.
“You cannot take it out of people’s hands if it could help,” Goldberg continued. “If we can keep people healthy. If we can get rid of diabetes. If we can get rid of all the things, cardiovascular, what’s wrong with trying to do that?”
Joy Behar interjected, “Nothing,” before Whoopi continued calling out RFK Jr. and said he was wrong about weight loss drugs.

However, some unpleasant side effects of taking these types of drugs include gastrointestinal problems, including abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. There is also a potential risk of thyroid tumors and cancer associated with [Novo Nordisk’s] Ozempic, another popular option, according to studies done with rodents, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doctors-sound-alarm-over-latest-ozempic-risk">reported</a>.
A recent head-to-head study between two popular <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/obesity">weight loss</a> drugs, Eli Lilly’s Zepbound and Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy, showed that users lost more weight using Zepbound.
According to the <a href="https://www.wsj.com/health/pharma/zepbound-wegovy-comparison-weight-loss-drug-clinical-trial-d0c0d5ff">study</a>, which was sponsored by Lilly, people using Zepbound lost 20.2% of their body weight over 72 weeks, while Wegovy users lost 13.7%. In pounds, that means Zepbound users lost an average of 50 lbs, while Wegovy users lost 33.

The hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; weighed in on rumors that Donald Trump Jr., President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s oldest son, had split from longtime fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, responding on Thursday to the news that she&#8217;d been appointed to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Greece.
In typical fashion, the midday talk show&#8217;s hosts — all of whom have expressed intense dislike for the president-elect and his family — used the news to bash the Trumps, saying that it must be a relief for Guilfoyle to no longer be forced to &#8220;deal with&#8221; Trump Jr.

There was a brief disagreement between the cohosts over who actually would pay for the residence (the U.S. government foots the bill for that) after which Griffin continued, suggesting that Guilfoyle had simply been playing along with the Trumps for months in order to get what she wanted out of the deal.

&#8220;The View&#8221; host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sunny-hostin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunny Hostin</a> appeared to excuse the violent, execution-style murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, arguing that the United States was &#8220;built on violence&#8221; and claiming that the violence, at least in this case, was &#8220;justified.&#8221;
Hostin joined her cohosts on Wednesday’s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show, and while they all agreed that there is room for improvement in the health insurance industry, the others at least were adamant that violence was not the best way to address the problems in the system.
“The vast majority of Americans want the healthcare industry fixed. But I got to tell you, murdering someone is not the way to do it,” Whoopi Goldberg said.
Joy Behar agreed, saying, “Doesn&#8217;t justify killing anybody to me anyway. I think it&#8217;s a very stupid idea, bad idea&#8230;Voting good, murder bad.”

It was Hostin who went all in to excuse the alleged shooter’s actions, complaining that she expected no different from a country that was “built on violence.”
“Only about 31% of Americans trust our healthcare system,” Hostin said, adding that the current system is bad for doctors as well as patients.
She then pivoted to push back on people who said that violence was not a reflection of America, adding, “This country was built on violence. We&#8217;re a very violent country … And so, I&#8217;m not, unfortunately, surprised people are celebrating the use of violence … violence is justified right now.”

The hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View,&#8221; for the most part, were less than thrilled that a New York jury acquitted Marine veteran Daniel Penny on Monday in the death of Jordan Neely — who boasted an impressive rap sheet, and had been verbally threatening people on the subway before Penny stepped in.
Cohost Whoopi Goldberg began by arguing that Penny was somehow out of line when he went to a bar in Manhattan to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/attorney-speaks-out-patrons-celebrate-daniel-penny-at-nyc-bar-after-acquittal">celebrate his acquittal</a>. She added that she believed the overall outcome of the case was proof that the justice system had failed.
“He celebrated the verdict with his lawyer while Neely’s family was mourning the loss,” she said.

Goldberg went on to say that she was bothered by the fact that the Marine veteran had chosen to toast his freedom at a bar: “I don’t know that seeing them celebrating in a bar made me comfortable.”
She then addressed the verdict itself, arguing that it was a “failure of the court” that Penny was not convicted. She said that Neely’s behavior could have stemmed from his mother’s murder and argued that everyone — from the hospitals to the courts — had failed him.

Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back a little bit, saying that she did not believe Penny was the “villain.” Instead, she blamed the city of New York for failing to take steps to keep people safer on the subway.
When cohost Joy Behar weighed in, she claimed Penny had held Neely in a choke too long and should have known better. She also suggested that the whole situation could have been avoided if people had simply sat on Neely instead.

During Monday&#8217;s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show, Goldberg advised viewers to do what they could to &#8220;take care of&#8221; their friends and families, saying that there was no way to really predict or plan for what might happen further down the road: &#8220;Whatever he&#8217;s going to do, he&#8217;s going to do.&#8221;
Goldberg began by saying everyone should be &#8220;making sure that we are taking care of ourselves and our families.&#8221;

Fetterman joined the cohosts of the midday talk show on Thursday, and the discussion turned to President Joe Biden&#8217;s Thanksgiving weekend pardon of his embattled son, Hunter Biden. Fetterman also claimed that the case against Hunter Biden — which was brought by a special prosecutor and President Biden&#8217;s Justice Department — was politically motivated, arguing that pardons would be reasonable in both cases.
&#8220;So, Senator, President Biden&#8217;s decision to pardon his son Hunter is facing bipartisan backlash. Even the Democrats are all over it. But what do you think?&#8221; host Joy Behar asked, attempting to downplay the pardon. &#8220;Is this much ado about nothing? Behar jumped back into the conversation, fretting that the same argument could be made about the people facing charges and prison time for crimes related to January 6th.

I&#8217;m talking about the New York trial and now — the Democrats, on our side, there were some that were gleeful calling it — well, &#8216;now he&#8217;s a convicted felon,'&#8221; Fetterman continued, arguing that it made Democrats look dishonest when they claimed to be in favor of things like criminal justice reform and second chances while celebrating Trump&#8217;s conviction and arguing that he did not deserve a moment&#8217;s grace for anything.
The cohosts of &#8220;The View,&#8221; whether Fetterman realized it or not, were among those Democrats who gleefully crowed about the fact that Trump had been convicted in the New York case, and went out of their way to refer to him as a &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-felt-like-i-won-the-view-hosts-are-absolutely-giddy-as-they-celebrate-trump-verdict" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convicted felon</a>&#8221; as often as possible.

Popular radio personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne Tha God</a> flamed the hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; — while sitting at their table — for dishonest coverage of President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s staffing choices and cabinet nominees.
The conversation between the show&#8217;s cohosts and Charlamagne began with the week&#8217;s hottest topic — namely, President Joe Biden&#8217;s decision to pardon his embattled son Hunter despite claiming repeatedly that he would never do so.
Whoopi Goldberg trotted out her previous claim that Biden had not actually lied about whether or not he planned to pardon Hunter — even though NBC&#8217;s initial report on the pardon suggested that Biden had made the decision shortly after Hunter&#8217;s conviction and his administration had made a conscious decision to tell the public otherwise.
&#8220;You don&#8217;t know that it was a lie,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;You really think he changed his mind over Thanksgiving weekend all of a sudden?&#8221; Charlamagne replied.

Goldberg then tried to suggest that there was a double standard in play and that Trump never got the kind of scrutiny Biden did.

Charlamagne challenged Goldberg directly, noting that she appeared to have a hard time admitting it when Democrats were in the wrong. Goldberg objected, claiming that she did just that all the time on the show.
Sunny Hostin pivoted back to the question of whether or not Biden had lied about pardoning Hunter. Unsurprisingly, she argued that he had not lied at all, but had simply made a &#8220;pragmatic&#8221; decision — one that directly contradicted all of his previous statements on the subject.

Cohost Sara Haines asked whether Charlamagne believed that media would ever cover Trump honestly, and he replied, &#8220;The didn&#8217;t do it before, why would they do it now?&#8221;
The cohosts all began talking at once, claiming that their show, at least, had covered Trump honestly.
Charlamagne referenced the excessive number of legal notes Hostin had been prompted to read after their discussions about Trump&#8217;s appointees, and argued that was an indication that the show was not covering Trump honestly.
&#8220;I saw you had to apologize a couple times last week. So somebody is coming with some notes from downstairs,&#8221; he said.

Goldberg appeared to take issue with statements Hegseth has made — specifically his argument that women should not serve in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/take-it-from-a-female-army-vet-pete-hegseth-is-right-about-women-in-combat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">direct combat roles</a> — and exaggerated that to falsely claim that he did not want women to serve in the military at all.
&#8220;Here you&#8217;re telling people, &#8216;Oh, you&#8217;re not qualified, you&#8217;re not qualified,'&#8221; Goldberg said, her tone condescending. &#8220;That does not seem to be a good way to keep people in a VOLUNTEER ARMY.&#8221;
As the audience laughed and applauded, cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that the military was already facing a crisis with regard to low recruitment numbers — implying that Hegseth&#8217;s position on the issue would only serve to worsen that crisis.

&#8220;The U.S. military has a recruitment crisis, we need more people to volunteer, including women,&#8221; Griffin said.
&#8220;A recruitment crisis among men, especially,&#8221; cohost Sunny Hostin added, apparently suggesting that the military needed more women to make up for the deficit in male recruits.
&#8220;Don&#8217;t worry, we got you. The women got you,&#8221; Goldberg crowed. &#8220;You know, when you get rid of us — if you get rid of the women, you getting rid of half the population. That&#8217;s not a smart move to make.&#8221;
Hegseth has never argued against women in the military in general, but has said that certain combat roles should be reserved for men only.
&#8220;I’m straight up just saying we should not have women in combat roles,” he said on “The Shawn Ryan Show,” adding, “It hasn’t made us more effective, hasn’t made us more lethal, has made fighting more complicated. We’ve all served with women and they’re great, just — our institution don’t have to incentivize that in places where traditionally — not traditionally, over human history — men in those positions are more capable.”

The hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/the-view" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The View</a>&#8221; kicked off Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast with a continuation of Monday&#8217;s vigorous defense of President Joe Biden — and his decision to offer his embattled son, Hunter Biden, a sweeping pardon for any crimes he committed or may have committed over an 11-year span.
Even as they complained about the &#8220;internal firing squad&#8221; of Democrats who dared to criticize Biden for the historically unprecedented pardon, cohosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin joined said &#8220;firing squad&#8221; to lay down cover fire for the Bidens.
Goldberg began the discussion, complaining that Biden&#8217;s critics were the real problem and arguing that because Biden had the power to pardon anyone he wanted, no one should be allowed to question how he exercised that power.
&#8220;It is his right and he doesn&#8217;t have to explain to anybody,&#8221; Goldberg insisted, saying that it was &#8220;hurtful for the American people&#8221; that anyone would continue to question Biden&#8217;s decision.

Goldberg went on to complain about the Democrats speaking out against the pardon, saying, &#8220;Democrats, you can&#8217;t have it both ways, you can&#8217;t have it both ways. You can&#8217;t let people tell you you&#8217;re not taking the moral ground when we take the moral ground all the time. We fight for migrant rights, for women&#8217;s rights, gay folks&#8217; rights, trans rights, and every time we do, suddenly we&#8217;re being told, oh, you on the woke agenda.&#8221;
&#8220;Either we are this party and we fight for these things and you see what&#8217;s going on and you get why he&#8217;s decided to do this or you don&#8217;t,&#8221; Goldberg continued. &#8220;But you don&#8217;t go out and chew up other Democrats. &#8220;It&#8217;s been really bothering me,&#8221; she said, and then pivoted to say that Biden wasn&#8217;t lying when he — along with a number of people in his administration — had repeatedly claimed that he would not pardon Hunter. Instead, she said his 180-degree reversal just showed that he &#8220;became the pragmatic president we always knew.&#8221;

She also suggested that she had wanted to ask Biden about a potential pardon for Hunter when he was on the show in recent weeks but was pushed away from doing so by the network.

Hostin also argued that Biden wasn&#8217;t really lying about not pardoning Hunter, claiming that he had intended not to until Trump was elected. &#8220;I think one of the reasons why he didn&#8217;t admit it earlier was because he didn&#8217;t know the felon-in-chief would become the next president,&#8221; she said.

Podcast host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-rogan">Joe Rogan</a> blew up on “The View” cohost <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-view-tries-to-discredit-dragon-believer-joe-rogan-and-he-hits-right-back">Joy Behar</a> for claiming that he “believes in dragons” and then saying that was a good reason for people to discredit his program.
During the most recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/politics/joe-rogan-lets-loose-on-views-joy-behar-dismissing-him-because-he-believes-in-dragons-youre-worried-about-losing-your-job/">podcast</a> that dropped on Thanksgiving Day, Rogan was speaking to his guests about Behar, who recently said, “we went from Walter Cronkite, basically, to this guy Joe Rogan who believes in dragons. I checked it.”
“I had to read the thing about ‘The View’ because I just thought it was funny,” Rogan said. “Joy Behar was trying to say I believe in dragons! She said, ‘I checked it, I checked it!’ And then the lady goes, ‘Did you double check it,’ and she goes, ‘I checked it, he believes in dragons. They lived alongside people.’”
“This is the most important part,” he added. “This is right after she was saying, ‘We are run by ABC News, you should trust us,’ not Joe Rogan who believes in dragons,’ so by saying we should trust them because they’re double checked by ABC News and then making the stupidest f**kng statement — You didn’t listen to what I said, you didn’t listen to what the wildlife biologist said.”
“When you’re worried about losing your job and you’re worried about podcasts taking over and who is the source of news and, ‘We said Donald Trump is Hitler, but half the country disagreed with us and this is crazy and Joe Rogan believes in dragons!’ It’s just frantic,” the podcast host continued.
Rogan closed out the segment making it clear he had “no hate&#8221; for Behar and would even give her a hug if he saw her.
“I’d probably say the same thing about me if I was her,” the podcast host said. “It’s no big deal, I don’t care, but it’s a silly thing saying it. It undermines your own personal credibility if you say we’re so good because we’re supported by ABC News and then you Joe Rogan believes in dragons in the next sentence.”
Despite Behar&#8217;s claim, what Rogan <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4WDBuS1-eE">actually said</a> was that he was “fascinated” by the things that did not exist but still appeared across cultures — like dragons. He then explained that he believed people had seen something real, like a large lizard, which inspired exaggerations and stories that led to the legends. On the notion of fire-breathing dragons that hoarded treasure, Rogan’s assessment was simple: “Bulls***.”
After video of Behar’s wild claim began circulating on X — and someone pointed out that “The View” had labeled him a “dragon believer” — Rogan announced: “That’s my new official X description.”

The cohosts discussed the topic at length on Tuesday — three weeks to the day since Trump won a decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris — because they appear convinced that Trump will use his second term in office to punish his political enemies in the same way that Biden&#8217;s Justice Department came after him.

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the conversation, asking whether Biden should pardon his son — and got a chorus of positive responses from the audience before the others at the table even weighed in.
&#8220;Does that make him an even bigger target for you-know-who coming in?&#8221; Goldberg asked, still unwilling to say Trump&#8217;s name aloud. &#8220;It&#8217;s a — interesting question, which I pose to you all.&#8221;
&#8220;So, personally, I think I would pardon my child,&#8221; Alyssa Farah Griffin replied. &#8220;I don&#8217;t even have kids, I&#8217;d bury a body for my child, so I get it as a personal decision. Sunny Hostin also was in favor of a pardon for the younger Biden, claiming that he was only prosecuted because his name was Biden and ignoring the fact that the cases she had whole-heartedly supported against President-elect Trump, by most accounts, were only brought because his name was Donald Trump.
