Several contestants from the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/netflix">Netflix</a> reality show “Squid Game: The Challenge” are complaining publicly that the program was torturous and rigged.
This new <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">game show</a> is based on the hit Korean drama series of the same name featuring poor, indebted citizens who compete for a cash prize for the entertainment of rich people. On the fictional show, eliminated contestants are killed when they lose the game. Netflix’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/netflix-teases-squid-game-reality-competition-show-with-largest-cash-prize-in-history">real-life adaptation</a> involves 456 players competing for a grand prize of $4.56 million. 
The game show based on the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">drama series</a> doesn’t involve actual death, but some contestants are complaining about harsh conditions and what they’re calling unfair treatment during filming. “I started to realize, this was never a game I could win,” a participant <a href="https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5va73/squid-game-reality-show-participants-rigged">told</a> Vice of the experience. “I’m not a contestant, I&#8217;m an extra.” 
“The Challenge” is being filmed at a former military base outside London. Many participants complained about frigid temperatures in the massive airplane hangar where filming took place. They described how medical units were dispatched when some participants started collapsing. “People started dropping like f***ing flies,” an anonymous participant said of the chaos during the game Red Light, Green Light. 
“People were suffering charlie horses and extreme cramps” because of the cold, one of the participants told Vice. “People were throwing themselves on the floor because their feet couldn’t move. It was getting ridiculous.” 
Netflix denied that any serious medical events occurred, admitting that “while it was very cold on set – and participants were prepared for that – any claims of serious injury are untrue.”
“We care deeply about the health and safety of our cast and crew, and invested in all the appropriate safety procedures,” a <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/01/netflix-squid-game-conditions-defended-studio-lambert-the-garden-reality-series-1235240309/">statement</a> from the company said of the allegations.
“The Challenge” participants also said they believed the game show premise to be something other than it was.
“My understanding was it was going to be similar to &#8216;Squid Game,&#8217;” one participant told the publication. “We’d be put in uncomfortable situations, living with 456 people and trying to form alliances. Except there would be no tolerance for bullying or harassment or physical violence or you potentially getting killed. So the ‘Real World,’ but a little more intense. That’s how I understood it.”
That person said participants started to suspect the game was rigged when they started talking – which was against the rules – and comparing notes. They realized that while some participants applied to be on the show, others were recruited, and that certain individuals had real microphones while others were fake. They also noted how some contestants had plane tickets booked for their return home sooner than others.
“People broke their lease to be on this show,” the now-eliminated participants said of the experience. “People quit their jobs. That’s the part to me that was sad. They made it seem like we all truly had a fair shot to actually win this money. It was already scripted. They already knew the people they wanted in the next round. That’s the part to me that was f***ed up.”
Former contestants also <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-features/netflix-squid-game-reality-show-cruel-rigged-inhumane-contestants-say-1234672474/">spoke with</a> Rolling Stone about their experiences. 
“It was just the cruelest, meanest thing I’ve ever been through,” one person told the publication. “We were a human horse race, and they were treating us like horses out in the cold racing and [the race] was fixed.”  
“All the torment and trauma we experienced wasn’t due to the game or the rigor of the game,” another person agreed. “It was the incompetencies of scale — they bit off more than they could chew.”

The new TLC show “MILF Manor” is getting slammed for going too far even by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/reality-tv">reality TV</a> standards, which already set the bar low.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">series</a> follows eight single moms in their 40s and 50s who are seeking to meet much younger men in their 20s and 30s. The acronym “MILF” stands for “Mom I’d Like to F***.” However, these women find out during the first episode that their adult sons are interspersed into the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/dating">dating pool</a>.  
Clips posted to the official TLC TikTok account have garnered reactions such as, “vile,” “gross,” “weird,” “horrendous,” “disgusting,” “disturbing,” and the “most uncomfortable show ever.”
The New Yorker <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/culture/on-television/the-motherlovers-of-milf-manor">review</a> said “MILF Manor” represents a “new low” and “perhaps even a rock bottom” for reality television, saying it’s “haunted by the [specter] of incest.”
Show participants received a message that said in part, “You are now in the same dating pool. Open your minds and have an experience you may never have imagined,” which referenced how moms and sons would be mingling together in sexually charged situations. The moms also share bedrooms with their sons, which critics point out is also indicative of the mothers coddling full-grown adults.

A real estate broker and fitness coach named Kelle Mortensen said, “I’m so excited to meet these other guys … sorry ladies I might be sleeping with your son,” <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/02/01/milf-manor-disgusts-viewers-critics-a-rock-bottom/">per</a> The New York Post.
The publication noted that one son described his mother as “kinky” when guessing that she was one of the women who admitted to having sex in an elevator. Another mother defended her breasts getting so much attention, telling her son, “It didn’t bother you when you were sucking on them (as a baby) either … you were really thirsty.”
“Beyond Freud’s wildest dreams,” one commenter <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@nc3520/video/7189140738754530606">replied</a> to a clip of the show. 
“MILF Manor” currently has a 17% critic score and 22% audience score on <a href="https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/milf_manor/s01">Rotten Tomatoes</a>. 
“Faith in humanity lost,” one reviewer shared. 
“Wildly disturbing,” another person wrote. “A combination of everything wrong with the world.”
Meanwhile, the show’s creator defended the concept, calling it an example of female empowerment. 
“I don’t really understand what all the fuss is about,” Daniela Neumann, managing director of Spun Gold TV, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/arts-entertainment/2023/01/30/milf-manor-reality-show/">told</a> The Washington Post. She insisted that the show seeks to erase the stigma of older women dating younger men if they want to.
“No one’s doing anything wrong. And these are all consenting adults,” Neumann continued. “I don’t really understand it, but I think that anything that provokes conversation is a very positive thing.”

Dr. Phil’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">talk show</a> is officially ending following the 2022-2023 season after 21 years on the air.
The daytime talk show host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/dr-phil-mcgraw">Phil McGraw</a> signed a five-year contract with CBS Media Ventures in 2018 and won&#8217;t be re-signing, as People <a href="https://people.com/tv/dr-phil-talk-show-to-end-after-21-seasons/">reported</a>. 
&#8220;I have been blessed with over 25 wonderful years in daytime television,&#8221; McGraw said in a statement. 
&#8220;With this show, we have helped thousands of guests and millions of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">viewers</a> through everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising children. This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I&#8217;m moving on from daytime, there is so much more I wish to do.&#8221;
&#8220;I am compelled to engage with a broader audience because I have grave concerns for the American family, and I am determined to help restore a clarity of purpose as well as our core values,&#8221; he continued.
Stepping back doesn’t mean leaving television for the 72-year-old host, however. CBS confirmed that McGraw would be part of a &#8220;strategic primetime partnership&#8221; that aims to help him &#8220;increase his impact on television and viewers.&#8221;
More details of that project, which is expected to be released in 2024, are forthcoming.
McGraw rose to popularity in the 90s after multiple appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as a featured expert. He went on to launch his own talk show in 2002, which became a daytime staple. The publication noted that Dr. Phil has hosted almost 4,000 episodes featuring 20,000 guests after more than two decades on the air.
President of CBS Media Ventures Steve LoCascio reacted to the show ending by saying, &#8220;Phil is a valued partner and member of the CBS/King World family, and while his show may be ending after 21 years, I&#8217;m happy to say our relationship is not.&#8221;
&#8220;Phil changed the daytime landscape as the force behind one of the most popular talk shows ever on daytime TV,” he continued. “We plan to be in the Dr. Phil business with the library for years to come and welcome opportunities to work together in the future.&#8221;
Several other daytime television mainstays have also announced cancellations recently, including “The Wendy Williams Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Dr. Oz,” and “The Real.”

Actress Cindy Williams, best known as Shirley Feeney in the classic 1970s hit TV show “Laverne and Shirley,” has died at the age of 75. Her assistant, Liza Cranis, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/30/arts/television/cindy-williams-dead.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Williams died “peacefully.”
Williams’ charm as the innocent Shirley beguiled millions from 1976 to 1983. The show, a spin-off from the massive TV hit “Happy Days,” starred Williams and Penny Marshall as two young Milwaukee blue-collar women.
“It evolved,” Williams <a href="https://interviews.televisionacademy.com/interviews/cindy-williams?clip=84317#interview-clips" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> of her character. “There were certain things that evolved. Like the thing that I said where she could be — her temperament evolved. I had a lot of fun playing, being very calm one minute and then going for someone’s throat, one of the boy’s throats the next. I really liked that, but that was sort of a comedic conceit that was a lot of fun to play and a lot of fun to watch.”
“Just like that, I can be very calm one minute and very temperamental the next,” she laughed. “But I’m Italian; so is Penny. We’re both half-Italian.”
Williams was born in Van Nuys, California and went on to major in theater at Los Angeles City College. “I’m what you might call a ‘Valley Girl,’” Williams admitted in her memoir, “Shirley, I Jest! A Storied Life.”
She landed roles in “Room 222,” “Nanny and the Professor” and “Love, American Style,” before she got her breakout role in the 1973 film “American Graffiti” as Laurie. For that film, in which she starred alongside Ron Howard, she received a nomination for best supporting actress from the British Academy Film Awards. In 1974, she got a plum role in “The Conversation” as a woman seemingly a victim but actually part of a sinister plot.
Then came the role of her career. Williams and Marshall were writing partners when Marshall’s brother Garry, the producer of “Happy Days,” got them the roles of dates for Fonzie (Henry Winkler) and Richie (Ron Howard). Williams was again cast opposite Howard. The episode became so popular that Garry Marshall successfully pitched the idea of a spin-off show starring the two women.
“We were very different people,” Williams <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujSXprdVT4g&amp;list=TLGGuk9Qe0233pEzMTAxMjAyMw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recalled</a> of Marshall, who died in 2018. “She was, you get the script; you read it; you know it; and you do it. You start performing it. I have dyslexia so it takes me a little longer and she could be a little impatient with that. Once we hit the stage together and actually started the show, you couldn’t slip a playing card in between us because we just were in rhythm. I couldn’t have done it with anyone else.”
Williams’ role on the show ended when she became pregnant.“&#8217;Laverne &amp; Shirley&#8217; ended abruptly for me. When we shot the first episode, I was four months pregnant. But when it came time to sign the contract for that season I realized that the studio had scheduled me to work on my delivery due date,” she wrote in her memoir. She later sued and the case was settled out of court.
Williams spoke strongly about her faith in God. &#8220;Well, I was just born with it. He was always present. So if it was imbued in my spirit; it gets really heady,&#8221; she <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/cindy-williams-shared-her-faith-in-god-power-that-was-unconditionally-good?intcmp=tw_fnc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Psychology Today. &#8220;I don’t know how I can talk about this, but God was imbued in me from the time of my birth; and me in Him. And I just had this sense of always being all right, even though the situation might be dire.&#8221;
Williams is survived by her children, Emily and Zak Hudson, whose father Bill Hudson, was also married to Goldie Hawn; their daughter is Kate Hudson. Williams’ children described her after her death as “one of a kind.”

Actress Annie Wersching, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, who starred in the television series &#8220;24,&#8221; died on Sunday morning after a private battle with cancer. She was 45 years old.
Wersching&#8217;s publicist <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/01/annie-wersching-dies-actress-in-24-bosch-and-timeless-was-45-obituary-1235243778/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> the news to Deadline on Sunday; her husband, actor and comedian Stephen Full (&#8220;Cold Case&#8221;), released a statement that was published by the entertainment site.
&#8220;There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.&#8221;
&#8220;As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family,'&#8221; he concluded.

Soon after the news of her death was reported, Wersching&#8217;s colleagues and friends flooded social media with tributes and anecdotes about the actress.
Her &#8220;24&#8221; co-star Kiefer Sutherland was among those sharing their thoughts about her passing: &#8220;The world lost a light today @Wersching was one of the greatest actors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and my friend. &#8220;Friends&#8221; series regular Maggie Wheeler opened up about reading actor Matthew Perry&#8217;s recent memoir, saying that it was &#8220;sad&#8221; and at times &#8220;difficult&#8221; for her to read.
Wheeler played Janice, the nasal and clingy on-again, off-again love interest to Perry&#8217;s Chandler Bing — and entertainment site Page Six <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/01/28/friends-star-maggie-wheeler-reacts-to-matthew-perrys-memoir/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published her comments</a> about the memoir on Saturday.
Wheeler explained that what made the memoir so difficult to read was the fact that there were &#8220;so many startling revelations about the ways Matthew has suffered over the years trying to wrangle his addictions.&#8221;
&#8220;I think he’s done a tremendous job and he’s really survived the unthinkable,&#8221; Wheeler said. &#8220;And I’m so proud of him and I’m so happy he’s here and I think it’s very brave that he’s written a book and he’s out talking about it, he’s really helping a lot of people.&#8221;

He had to wear a colostomy bag for months after that — and he later said that it was the thought of returning to a colostomy bag that helped him to stop wanting pills.
Despite the actor&#8217;s struggles — and the fact that his cast mates <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/we-know-youre-drinking-matthew-perry-spills-which-friends-costar-called-him-out-for-substance-abuse/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">were aware</a> that his weight was fluctuating and he was drinking at times — Wheeler said that Perry never failed to give the show everything he had.
&#8220;He showed up for work even when he was in his darkest place, he showed up for work with all his humor and brilliance and talent,&#8221; Wheeler said. &#8220;There was never a day working on set with him where I felt insecure about how he was going to participate in the process, he was 100 percent, even when he was struggling.&#8221;
Wheeler went on to say that just being a part of &#8220;Friends&#8221; continues to bring her joy because of the joy she sees the series still bringing to others.
&#8220;I hear so many stories of people who watch ‘Friends’ as they go to sleep at night, so yeah, it’s tremendous to be part of something that has so much resonance not only here but across the world now,&#8221; she explained.

Sacramento-based <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tiktok">TikTok</a> user Sean Dorrough has attracted two million TikTok followers and 67,700 Instagram followers mostly because of his spot-on “Rick and Morty” voices. Now his fans are petitioning Warner Bros. Discovery to hire him as Roiland’s replacement, which they claim will be a seamless transition. 
They keep tagging <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">Adult Swim</a> and leaving comments on Dorrough&#8217;s accounts saying, &#8220;Replace Justin for Rick and Morty,&#8221; and &#8220;Any calls from Adult Swim yet?&#8221;
Roiland was let go from the network after it came to light that he’d been charged with two felonies, including one count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, and or deceit, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/oh-geez-rick-and-morty-co-creator-axed-over-domestic-abuse-allegations">reported</a>. Adult Swim announced Roiland was out on January 24.
“Rick and Morty” is a popular sci-fi animated sitcom that debuted in 2013. It relies on dark humor and features the main character Morty Smith journeying across the universe and between alternate realities with his eccentric, sarcastic grandfather Rick Sanchez. Roiland was the voice of both characters, meaning now these parts will need to be recast.
Social media users are convinced that Dorrough is the right person for the job. The creator told <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/tiktokers-want-creator-to-replace-rick-and-morty-co-founder-2023-1">Insider</a> on Wednesday he started doing impressions after a fellow child in foster care taught him how to mimic Donald Duck when he was 6. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been doing impressions ever since,&#8221; he told the publication. 
Even Roiland weighed in on Dorrough’s talent in the past. “That&#8217;s scary, scary, scary close,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXkA9SZNz7g">told</a> Vanity Fair in July of the TikTok star’s impressions of Rick and Morty.

&#8220;If you were to play that next to me doing it, people would have a hard time knowing which was which,&#8221; he continued. The “Rick &amp; Morty” co-creator said he told Dorrough personally that no one would be able to tell their voices apart, though he did express that the social media star needed to work on his Rick impression. 
&#8220;He was interviewing people for his job without even knowing it lol,” one of the top comments on the YouTube video of the interview says.
While Dorrough hasn’t been tapped for auditions just yet, he did tell Insider that he’s ready if it comes to that. &#8220;I&#8217;m very familiar with the characters, their mannerisms, and their personalities,&#8221; he told Insider of potentially working on “Rick and Morty.”
&#8220;I am confident that I could do the role,&#8221; he concluded.

Former &#8220;Baywatch&#8221; star Pamela Anderson is not letting go of her claim that comedian and actor Tim Allen once flashed her on the set of &#8220;Home Improvement&#8221; — a claim that he has flatly denied.
Anderson defended Allen on Thursday in a <a href="https://variety.com/2023/tv/features/pamela-anderson-interview-abuse-boyfriends-pam-and-tommy-backlash-1235501556/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">new statement</a> provided to entertainment site Variety, saying that as a comedian it was Allen&#8217;s job to cross lines and push things to the limit.
&#8220;Tim is a comedian, it’s his job to cross the line. I’m sure he had no bad intentions. Times have changed, though. I doubt anyone would try that post #MeToo. It’s a new world,&#8221; Anderson told Variety via text.
Anderson dropped the <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/pamela-anderson-drops-bombshell-claim-on-tim-allen-he-says-it-never-happened/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bombshell claim</a> in her upcoming memoir, &#8220;Love, Pamela&#8221; — which is due out on January 31 — and she said that Allen had exposed himself to her on her first day on the &#8220;Home Improvement&#8221; set. She asserted that he had seen her nude photos in Playboy magazine, and flashing her was an awkward attempt to — as she explained it — level the playing field.
&#8220;He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even,&#8221; she wrote in the memoir, adding, &#8220;I laughed uncomfortably.&#8221;
Allen issued a statement unequivocally denying that the incident ever happened, saying, &#8220;No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.&#8221;
Another of Anderson&#8217;s bombshell claims — this one from her upcoming Netflix documentary &#8220;Pamela: A Love Story&#8221; — has earned her a <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/new-pamela-anderson-claim-targets-sylvester-stallone-he-says-its-false-and-fabricated/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rebuttal</a> from &#8220;Rocky&#8221; actor Sylvester Stallone.
In the doc, also due out on January 31, Anderson claimed that Stallone propositioned her — offering her a condo and a Porsche if she would commit to being his &#8220;Number one girl.&#8221;
&#8220;He offered me a condo and a Porsche to be his ‘number one girl.’ And I was like, ‘Does that mean there’s No. 2? Uh-uh,’” Anderson said. &#8220;He goes, ‘That’s the best offer you’re gonna get, honey. You’re in Hollywood now.’”
Anderson insisted that she immediately turned the offer down, saying that she didn&#8217;t want to settle for anything less than being in love — but Stallone released a statement via a spokesperson saying that he never made her any such offer.
&#8220;The statement from Pamela Anderson attributed to my client is false and fabricated. Mr. Stallone confirms that he never made any portion of that statement,&#8221; the statement read.

Actor Adam Scott finally confronted the cast members of the hit sitcom “Boy Meets World,” recalling an awkward exchange from when he was a guest star on the show that he said had bothered him for 29 years.
Scott, who had a recurring guest spot as Griff during the <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/boy-meets-world-star-files-paperwork-to-run-for-congress/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">show’s</a> second and third seasons, made the revelation during an appearance on &#8220;Pod Meets World&#8221; — alongside cast members Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), and Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) — nearly three decades after the fact.
&#8220;I get to finally ask Rider about this thing. I don&#8217;t know if you remember this, Rider,&#8221; Scott began — prompting Fishel to exclaim that she was on the &#8220;edge of her seat&#8221; waiting to learn what had happened.
&#8220;Literally, this has been tugging at me for 29 years,&#8221; Scott <a href="https://toofab.com/2023/01/26/adam-scott-boy-meets-world/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">continued</a>, and he set the scene for them: it was the end of the second season, and cast members were celebrating together on the set — but things apparently took an awkward turn when he approached Strong.
&#8220;I go, &#8216;Hey, congratulations buddy,&#8217; and I give you a high five and I go in and hug you and as I do that, you push me off and give me this look like, &#8216;Who the f*** are you?&#8217; and then you run away,&#8221; Scott said of Strong.
Strong was clearly taken aback, asking, &#8220;Are you serious?! Why would I do that?! That doesn&#8217;t sound like me at all. I&#8217;m generally a hugger!&#8221;
Relieved, Scott said that knowing Strong had not intentionally snubbed him reduced the trauma of the experience for him.
&#8220;He was this little kid and I was this stranger grown up &#8230; again, I had no idea what I was supposed to do,&#8221; Scott said, noting that at the time he appeared on the show, he had been in his 20s while the show&#8217;s main characters were all teenagers. &#8220;It seemed like we were all supposed to be joyous and hug each other. Oh God, it was horrifying. That&#8217;s such a relief. I remember being surprised I got the call to be in Season 3 two months later because of that. It&#8217;s so funny. I&#8217;m so happy.&#8221;
The podcast took another turn early on when regular cast member Friedle admitted that he had felt intimidated by Scott when he first guest-starred on the show.
&#8220;You were instantly part of the gang that let me know I wasn&#8217;t invited to the party,&#8221; Friedle said, noting that Scott had bonded with several of the older guest stars when he first arrived. &#8220;I look back to it as like, he was too cool for me to even walk up to and be like, &#8216;Hey, welcome to the show.'&#8221;
&#8220;They were the first ones to come up and talk to me,&#8221; Scott explained, adding that because they were all guest stars rather than series regulars, the stakes were lower. He also recalled the other guest stars being nervous about approaching the regular cast members as well.

Actor and comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tim-allen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tim Allen</a> has adamantly denied former &#8220;Baywatch&#8221; star Pamela Anderson&#8217;s assertion that he flashed her during the early days of &#8220;Home Improvement&#8221; — but a blooper video from the hit sitcom suggests he may have &#8220;flashed&#8221; another costar.
In the clip, published on Tuesday by entertainment site TMZ, Allen was wearing a kilt — which he raised briefly to the shock of costar and onscreen wife Patricia Richardson. She later said that he had been wearing clothing under the kilt — and the incident apparently took place while they were filming in front of a live studio audience.

&#8220;You got the legs for this,&#8221; Richardson joked as Allen modeled the kilt. &#8220;Hangs long, I just wish it was shorter.&#8221;
Allen responded by lifting the front of the kilt almost to his shoulders, laughing along with the studio audience as Richardson&#8217;s jaw dropped in surprise.
The actress told TMZ that Allen had been &#8220;well dressed&#8221; under the Scottish garb, however. &#8220;People ask me what was under the kilt when he flashed me, he was well dressed under there, I was just shocked that he lifted the kilt, not by a man in boxer shorts,&#8221; she said.
Allen&#8217;s name came up in recent days after Variety <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/pamela-anderson-drops-bombshell-claim-on-tim-allen-he-says-it-never-happened/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published an excerpt</a> of Anderson&#8217;s new book, &#8220;Love, Pamela&#8221; — in which she claimed the comedian had opened his robe, flashing her on the set of &#8220;Home Improvement&#8221; in 1991. She said that he had done so to level the playing field after seeing her naked in Playboy magazine.
&#8220;He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably,&#8221; Anderson wrote, claiming that a number of others had behaved similarly throughout her career.
Allen flatly denied that the exchange ever took place, releasing a statement to that effect: &#8220;No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.&#8221;

Actor and advocate Michael J. Fox recently admitted to using drugs and alcohol as an escape in the early days following his Parkinson&#8217;s diagnosis.
Fox <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/movies/2023/01/22/michael-j-fox-parkinsons-still-documentary/11101412002/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">detailed his story</a> in a new documentary film, &#8220;Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie,&#8221; which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival — and revealed that for seven years following his 1991 diagnosis, he had also battled addiction, denial, and depression.
The &#8220;Back to the Future&#8221; star was still working at the time, and he explained that he was using props to hide his shaking hands and popping dopamine pills &#8220;like Halloween Smarties&#8221; in an effort to slow the early signs of his disease.
&#8220;Therapeutic value, comfort – none of these were the reason I took these pills. There was only one reason: to hide. I became a virtuoso of manipulating drug intake so that I&#8217;d peak at exactly the right time and place,&#8221; <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/michael-j-fox-reflects-on-recent-health-setbacks-says-hes-happy-overall/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox</a> said in the documentary.
Fox went on to say that he had turned to alcohol to numb the despair that came from learning his condition was not only permanent but degenerative.
&#8220;I didn&#8217;t know what was happening. I didn&#8217;t know what was coming. So what if I could just have four glasses of wine and maybe a shot? I was definitely an alcoholic. But I&#8217;ve gone 30 years without having a drink,&#8221; Fox continued.
Fox credited his wife, actress Tracy Pollan, with helping him to get and stay sober even though the early days of sobriety seemed insurmountable at times.
&#8220;As low as alcohol had brought me, abstinence would bring me lower. I could no longer escape myself. You can&#8217;t pretend at home that you don&#8217;t have Parkinson&#8217;s because you&#8217;re just there with it. If I&#8217;m out in the world, I&#8217;m dealing with other people and they don&#8217;t know I have it,&#8221; he said.
The &#8220;Spin City&#8221; actor&#8217;s documentary <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/festivals/michael-j-fox-documentary-still-standing-ovation-sundance-film-festival-premiere-1235497030/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">received a standing ovation</a> when it premiered on Friday — and he took the stage to talk about his advocacy for Parkinson&#8217;s research.
&#8220;People say, &#8216;But that will be after your time, are you ok with that?'&#8221; Fox said, noting that medical research often takes time — and that he couldn&#8217;t be sure how much time he had.
&#8220;S*** yeah,&#8221; he answered his own question. &#8220;That would be great. Just get it done. I don’t care if I’m on the bus.&#8221;
Fox also once drank <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/becoming-brother-to-the-snake-woody-harrelson-outs-the-actor-who-drank-cobra-blood-with-him/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cobra blood</a> with &#8220;Cheers&#8221; actor Woody Harrelson — a move that Harrelson said did not end well for Fox. After watching a fight between a cobra and a mongoose, Harrelson explained that the locals in Thailand mixed a cocktail of cobra blood and whiskey.
&#8220;Drinking the cobra blood is called ‘becoming brother to the snake,'&#8221; he said. &#8220;Mike and I drink lots of things together, and he can hold his own — can I say, he’s Canadian. But Mike promptly vomited his snake cocktail. Never could hold his cobra blood.&#8221;

&#8220;On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly—completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably,&#8221; she wrote.
&#8220;No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing,&#8221; Allen&#8217;s denial was unequivocal.
But Anderson responded by providing a statement to Vanity Fair, sharing additional context and claiming that Allen had not been the only one to behave in that way around her.
&#8220;This true story is just one of many surreal and uncomfortable situations I learned to navigate. My book goes into how it made me feel over the course of my life and, in this case, my career,&#8221; Anderson said. &#8220;I have no ill will toward Tim. But like the rest, it should never have happened.&#8221;
&#8220;It was the first of many bizarre encounters where people felt they knew me enough to make absolute fools out of themselves,&#8221; she added in the book.
Anderson&#8217;s memoir is set to be released on January 31. It comes alongside a Netflix documentary — titled &#8220;Pamela: A Love Story&#8221; — about her life, her rise to fame, and her marriage to Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee.
Anderson also addressed the now-infamous sex tape — which was stolen from the home she shared with Lee and then sold.
&#8220;Nobody knew the truth—even I don’t know 100% of what happened,&#8221; she <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/12/pamela-anderson-netflix-documentary-a-love-story-first-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-uri="0b7e11f04ad4d442c72479c36dd85a5a">wrote</a>. &#8220;But I think what is most important is to share my human feelings and how much it hurt and how it undeniably defined me moving forward—in my career and my relationships.&#8221;
