Ryan Seacrest made his hosting debut on “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/wheel-of-fortune">Wheel of Fortune</a>” Monday night and referenced longtime former host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pat-sajak">Pat Sajak</a> but did not say his name.
“So happy to be here,” Seacrest said to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">co-host</a> Vanna White after being introduced by announcer Jim Thornton at the start of the show, per <a href="https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/wheel-of-fortune-host-ryan-seacrest-pat-sajak-first-episode-1236138335/">Variety</a>. 
“So happy to have you!” White replied.
“I am your host, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ryan-seacrest">Ryan Seacrest</a>. I still can’t believe my luck of being here with you tonight to continue this legacy of this incredible show with all of you. And of course, my good friend Vanna White,” the radio host and TV personality said. 
“Thank you for the very warm welcome,” Seacrest went on. “Hosting ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is a dream job. I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid watching it in Atlanta with my family. And I know how special it is that ‘Wheel’ has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years. And I’m just so grateful to be invited in. I also know I’ve got some very big shoes to fill. So, let’s play ‘Wheel of Fortune.’”

Before Seacrest took over, Sajak hosted the popular game show for more than four decades. The former host discussed his decision to step down during filming in June. 
“I’ve always said this to you, you’ve heard me say this dozens of times, I’d rather leave a couple of years too early than a couple of years too late,” Sajak <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pat-sajak-opens-up-about-leaving-wheel-of-fortune">told</a> his daughter Maggie Sajak during a Good Morning America interview.
“Could I still do it? Yeah, I think I could for a while,” he went on. “There’s also some other things in life that we’d like to do, and I’m enjoying this last year. It’s been a great 40 years, and I’m looking forward to whatever’s ahead.”
Seacrest previously gushed about taping “Wheel of Fortune” after being on set in July. “I’m still spinning with excitement!” he <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ryanseacrest/reel/C9fm9OXJGPQ/">wrote</a> in an Instagram post caption at the time. 
“I’m so excited, my heart’s pounding,” he said in the video. “The wheel’s maybe smaller than you think — as am I,” Seacrest added. “I could not sleep last night, I was so excited. I slept okay, but still very excited for the alarm to go off.”

“The Acolyte” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">actress</a> Amandla Stenberg is speaking out in the aftermath of the Disney+ show’s cancellation, blaming its failure on “hyper-conservative” bigots.
The 25-year-old, who played Mae and Osha in the series, posted a lengthy video on Instagram Stories expressing her frustration.

“Our show, our ‘<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/star-wars">Star Wars</a>’ show, has been canceled,” Stenberg said. “I’m going to be transparent and say it’s not a huge shock for me.”

She continued, “Of course, I live in the bubble of my own reality, but for those who aren’t aware, there has been a rampage of vitriol that we have faced since the show was even announced, when it was still just a concept and no one had even seen it. That’s when we started experiencing a rampage of hyper-conservative bigotry and vitriol, prejudice, hatred, and hateful language towards us.”
The actress said, “And, you know, this really affected me when I first got the job because it’s just not something, even though I anticipated it happening, it’s not something you can fully understand what it feels like until it’s happening to you.”
Stenberg went on to describe how she “moved through” these feelings and ultimately felt a sense of gratitude for having worked on the project. The “Acolyte” star finally thanked her supporters. 
“And I just want to let those people know out there who supported us in that way, and supported us vocally in the face of all of the vitriol that we received, and the kind of the targeted attack I would say we received by the alt-right, just that you were deeply loved and appreciated, and it made this job all the worthwhile for me,” she concluded.
It was announced on August 19 that the series would not be renewed for a second season amid low ratings and lackluster reviews, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/disney-cancels-star-wars-series-the-acolyte-season-2">reported</a>. 
Before the series aired, director Leslye Headland announced that the show would be “coded queer.” Headland told The Advocate in 2021 that her goal was “to allow her own personal experiences as a queer woman shine through in the finished product.”

Actor Brian Cox bounces between film and TV shows with the greatest of ease.
Now, the “Succession” alum insists the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/brian-cox-cinema-deadpool-wolverine-succession-eiff-marvel-1235977671/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">magic now happens on the small screen</a> following comments made at the Edinburgh International Film Festival Aug. 20.
“What’s happened is that television is doing what cinema used to do …  I think cinema is in a very bad way. I think it’s lost its place because of, partly, the grandiose element between Marvel, DC and all of that. And I think it’s beginning to implode, actually. You’re kind of losing the plot.”
Cox, who ironically played the heavy in 2003’s “X2: X-Men United,” called the recent smash “Deadpool &amp; Wolverine” “party time.”
Is he wrong?

Yes, the theatrical box office made an impressive comeback this summer thanks to the aforementioned MCU smash, “Inside Out 2” and “Despicable Me 4.” 
Will any of those films stand out in five years? Ten? Can anyone remember the last few Best Picture winners? For the record, it’s “Oppenheimer,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “CODA,” “Nomadland” and “Parasite” in descending order.
TV continually churns out both binge-worthy shows and dramas that immediately leave us addicted. Think “The Bear,” “Succession,” “House of the Dragon,” “Baby Reindeer” and “Severance.”
Some of the most popular actors now regularly appear on the small screen. Nicole Kidman. Jeff Bridges. Hugh Grant. Tom Hardy. Cillian Murphy. Meryl Streep. Harrison Ford. Chris Pratt. Mahershala Ali.
A small sub-section of superstars resist TV, like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Denzel Washington. The rest? They can’t wait for HBO, Netflix or another streaming platform to ring up their agent.
You can blame iconic shows like “The Shield,” “The Wire,” “The Sopranos” and “Breaking Bad’ for changing the TV landscape for the better.
So much better.

Those shows featured film-quality production, exquisite storylines and performances that matured from season to season. They changed both TV and the way we consider small-screen originals.
Other industry changes helped shift TV into the cultural driver’s seat.
TV originals no longer demand 20-plus episodes from an actor’s work schedule. A series may wrap in anywhere from six to 12 installments, freeing up superstars to tackle film and TV projects.
Plus, Kevin Spacey, currently blacklisted for sexual abuse allegations, helped change this dynamic for actors everywhere. The two-time Oscar winner agreed to star in one of Netflix’s first major originals, the 2013 series “House of Cards.”
He rolled the professional dice and won. Now, most stars are happy to follow the path he blazed.

Another reason TV often laps film? Hollywood’s chronic fear factor. Studios know the pandemic helped sever the bond between consumer and movie theater. They saw how many Americans stayed home to watch original fare on streaming platforms, a pattern still in place despite the pandemic’s end.
They’re desperate to keep the theatrical experience alive and profitable. Risk-averse executives crave the sugar rush of sequels, prequels and reboots. The bigger and louder, the better. And the bigger box office receipts, more than likely.
The top 10 box office winners in 2024 are all sequels, prequels, reboots and re-imaginings.
Plus, film budgets have grown so large that any attempt at nuance, creativity or eclectic storytelling is pushed aside. It’s lowest common denominator storytelling, and it must drive Cox crazy.
He’s not alone.
Modern TV also offers advantages that movies can’t replicate. No matter how good an actor or film may be, there’s a three-hour window at best to tell the story. Now, think of how Bryan Cranston approaches his iconic Walter White character in later “Breaking Bad” seasons.
He’s literally had years to grow into the role, to find new shadings to bring to his antihero.
Movie sequels could offer something similar, but they often defer to bigger! Louder! Faster! model.
The irony behind Cox’s statement? When he broke into the business with films like 1986’s “Manhunter,” actors longed to leave TV for film. Permanently.

That’s how Bruce Willis treated his breakout 1980s series, “Moonlighting.” The affable star couldn’t wait to leave the small screen behind once “Die Hard” hit it big.
Bye, bye, TV.
Willis, who retired for health reasons two years ago, never looked back. Nor did other former TV stars like Clint Eastwood, Will Smith and George Clooney. TV was where young actors worked before getting called up to the big leagues.
Hollywood movies.
Now, actors understand they won’t necessarily be challenged by film projects. When “Top Gun: Maverick” alum Glen Powell’s star began to rise guess what happened next? Hollywood gave him roles in a remake “Backdraft” and “Twisters,” a reboot of the 1990s hit.
He’ll probably be itching to hear a TV pitch or two before long.
Hugh Grant’s recent career revival allowed him to play an orange-faced little person in 2023’s “Wonka.” On the small screen, his devastating turn in Max’s “The Undoing,” playing a philandering doctor accused of murder, likely gave him far more professional satisfaction.
Cox is an actor’s actor, a veteran who understands both the business and a hunger to create something memorable on screen.
Now, he understands that’s more likely to happen on a TV show.

“Boy Meets World” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">actress</a> Danielle Fishel, who played the character Topanga in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">series</a>, announced that she’s been diagnosed with early-stage breast <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cancer">cancer</a>.
The 43-year-old mother of two explained during Monday&#8217;s episode of the “Pod Meets World” podcast that the cancer was discovered during a routine mammogram, per <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/08/19/entertainment/boy-meets-world-alum-danielle-fishel-diagnosed-with-breast-cancer/">Page Six</a>.
“I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, which is a form of breast cancer,” Fishel said. “It’s very very very early, it’s technically stage zero.”
The actress said she was diagnosed with “high-grade DCIS with micro-invasion” and will have surgery to remove it.

“I’m going to be on some follow-up treatment,” Fishel added, mentioning that she&#8217;d consulted with multiple medical professionals. “I’ve had to make a lot of decisions over the last couple of days.”
The “Boy Meets World” alum said the cancer was found early because she remained diligent about getting checked and urged her fans to do the same. 
“The only reason I caught this cancer when it is still stage zero is because the day I got my text message that my yearly mammogram had come up, I made the appointment,” she said during the podcast conversation. 
“They found it so, so, so early that I’m going to be fine. I hope it will encourage anyone to get in there. If it’s time for your appointment, if you’ve never had an appointment before, get in there. If you have to find out that you have cancer, find out when it’s at stage 0, if possible.”

Her former co-star and current podcast co-host Rider Strong said Fishel’s diagnosis was “mind-boggling.” 
“Right now, my wife and I know four people — four friends — who are dealing with breast cancer,” Strong said while reiterating that listeners should be screened often. 
Will Friedle, who also starred in the ABC sitcom in the 90s, echoed his message of support. “We love you, and you know that we’ve got you. Whatever you need, we’re here,” he said while addressing Fishel. “You are going to be fine, and you might have some sucky days coming up, but we’re here for you.”

TV host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jimmy-kimmel">Jimmy Kimmel</a> predicts that late-night shows as we know them will probably be gone in a decade.
The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">host</a>, who has been doing the gig for 21 years, made the remarks on the latest episode of the “Politickin’” podcast.
“I don’t know if there will be any late-night television shows on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">network TV</a> in 10 years,” Kimmel said. 
“Maybe there’ll be one but there won’t be a lot of them,” the 56-year-old celeb continued. “There’s a lot to watch and now people can watch anything at any time, they’ve got all these streaming services. It used to be Johnny Carson was the only thing on at 11:30 p.m. and so everybody watched and then David Letterman was on after Johnny so people watched those two shows, but now they’re so many options.”
Kimmel said social media is partially to blame because viewers don’t feel an urgency to watch the show live when they can just revisit clips at their leisure.

“Maybe more significantly, the fact that people are easily able to watch your monologue online the next day, it really cancels out the need to watch it when it’s on the air,” he said. “Once people stop watching it when it’s on the air, networks are going to stop paying for it to be made.”
The host said he’s not happy about his prediction. 
“I will have a hard time when it’s over. It worries me,” Kimmel said on the podcast. “That’s part of the reason I keep going. Each time, I think this is going to be my last contract and then I wind up signing another contract, it’s because I fear that day, that Monday after my final show, where it’s like, ‘OK, now what am I going to do?’ There aren’t a huge amount of options for late-night hosts after the shows are over. People think of you like a late-night talk show host, it’s not like you are suddenly going to start starring in films.”

CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins was a guest on the show Monday night. As expected, they spent the time discussing the upcoming presidential election, including the changing strategy Republicans have taken now that the Democratic candidate switched from President Joe Biden to Vice President Kamala Harris.

“No, I know, CNN makes a, uh, I know this…” he stuttered as they kept laughing.
“Was that supposed to be a laugh line?” Collins asked the late-night host.
“Ah, it wasn’t supposed to be, but…I guess it is,” Colbert replied. “Umm…..” Then he quickly changed the subject, asking if Collins could have predicted that Biden would drop out of the race.
Social media users were quick to react to the clip, which started circulating on X.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/comedian">Comedian</a> Bowen Yang said working on the popular sketch comedy show “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/saturday-night-live">Saturday Night Live</a>” was the “cringiest” job.
Yang discussed his thoughts with co-host Matt Rogers during a recent episode of their “Las Culturistas” <a href="https://omny.fm/shows/las-culturistas-with-matt-rogers-and-bowen-yang/climbing-cringe-mountain-w-matt-bowen">podcast</a>. The pair discussed how sometimes it’s embarrassing to make certain career moves, referencing President Joe Biden&#8217;s ending his re-election campaign.
“You have to sometimes climb up a huge hill of cringe,” Rogers said. “And once you can scale that hill — which is, you know, it might be your judgment of yourself, on what you’re doing, it might be everyone saying what you’re doing is cringe — on the other end, you slide down into happiness and nirvana.”
Yang, an “SNL” alum, chimed in, saying he was embarrassed about his stint on the show, which began in 2018. 
“I know about working through cringe, climbing a cringe mountain, I work at Saturday f***ing Night Live, the cringiest thing in show business on every level,” he said. “Cringe Mountain is SNL.”
The comedian added, “Eternally grateful that I worked there, will be the defining thing of my life and career, and yet it is a cringe mountain because to live through working at SNL and to have people constantly tell you how much it sucks, how bad it is, how it’s not as good as it used to be, for your career — that has to do something to you psychologically where you emerge and go, ‘I don’t give a f***.’”
Rogers voiced some disagreement with the assessment. “I don’t think it’s cringe,” he said of “SNL,” per <a href="https://ew.com/bowen-yang-calls-saturday-night-live-the-cringiest-thing-in-show-business-8683000">Entertainment Weekly</a>. “But I will say… everyone has a f***ing opinion. It’s the most popular show in the world, it’s now been on for 50 years, it is Capital C commercial culture, and therefore it’s cringe because everyone is like, ‘I’m having something to say.’”
“And it’s corporate, you know what I mean? It’s all those things,” he added. “But on the other side of it, guess what Bowen: you get to actually, the visceral thing of people laugh, people feel good. And that is why we’re doing this and that is why America is worth saving.”

A writer for the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nickelodeon">Nickelodeon</a> animated children’s series “The Fairly OddParents” explained why one of the character names had to change.
In a new episode of the spinoff <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cartoons">series</a> “The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,” the son of main characters Cosmo and Wanda announces that he has a new name. “Hey kid, I’m Poof — or at least I was,” he says in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">episode</a>. “I changed my name to Peri, like Peri-winkle.”
“Fairly OddParents” writer, producer, and star Ashleigh Crystal Hairston explained the name change with an X post. “The former name is a slur in many countries and cannot be used,” she <a href="https://x.com/shleighcrystal/status/1815524124909027415">wrote</a>.
According to <a href="https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/poof">Merriam-Webster</a>, “poof” is used as “a term of abuse and disparagement” for gay men in British English.
The original “Fairly OddParents” series follows the main character Timmy Turner, a 10-year-old boy, as he goes about his life with two fairy godparents named Cosmo and Wanda. The godparents grant his wishes to make life easier and overcome obstacles.
The series originated with shorts on Nickelodeon and aired from 1998 to 2002. It became very popular and was eventually developed into a half-hour series that premiered in March 2001. It ended in 2006 and was revived in 2008, making it Nickelodeon’s second-longest-running series ever, with only “SpongeBob SquarePants” going on for longer.
The series has had several spinoffs, including a live-action series on Paramount+ and several live-action TV movies starring Drake Bell as Timmy. “The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder” came out in 2022, while this latest iteration, “The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish” premiered in May 2024.
Peri, originally named Poof, was introduced in 2008 as a baby who caused drama with the relationship between Timmy Turner and his fairy godparents when he was born. Poof was the first fairy baby born in thousands of years. 
The new version of Peri grown up looks just like a combination of his parents Cosmo and Wanda.

“<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">Veep</a>” creator Armando Iannucci responded to fans pointing out similarities between the Emmy Award-winning satirical comedy series and current political events.
The HBO series, which ran from 2012 until 2019, starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, a senator-turned-VP. “Veep” documented Meyer’s struggles with balancing her personal and professional life and navigating a dysfunctional relationship with the president she served.
In the show, the president resigns, leaving Meyer to ascend the office herself and later launch her own campaign. This has led fans to point out similarities between these events and President Joe Biden ending his re-election bid and endorsing VP <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris">Kamala Harris</a> as his replacement.
“Let’s remind ourselves that #Veep has already written a fictional version of this script .. Kamala *inherits* the actual presidency. Then runs. The electoral college is tied. The house (sic) vote is tied. Which means the Senate has to choose the tie breaking candidate. And that ends up with … JD Vance as POTUS (Nb this is DRAMA …)” one popular fan comment on X said.
Iannucci responded by <a href="https://x.com/Aiannucci/status/1815136284865695912">saying,</a> “Don’t forget we made all that up, though.”
“Still working on the ending,” he <a href="https://x.com/Aiannucci/status/1815136002769641890">replied</a> to another fan who mentioned how Iannucci was “continuing to predict our political reality.”
A clip of Louis-Dreyfus as Meyer telling her team she was running for president was also widely shared on social media. “I’m not leaving. POTUS is leaving. He’s not going to run for a second term. I’m gonna run. I’m gonna run for president!” she says in the season 2 finale.
The show creator added to the conversation by tweeting a photo of Dreyfus and Biden walking through the White House in a clip from the 2014 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Sorkin&#8217;s <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/21/opinion/biden-west-wing-aaron-sorkin.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">guest essay</a>, titled &#8220;How I Would Script This Moment for Biden and the Democrats,&#8221; ran in Sunday&#8217;s edition of The New York Times — and went live before President Joe Biden announced that he planned to &#8220;stand down&#8221; and exit the 2024 presidential race, endorsing his own Vice President Kamala Harris a short time later.
The longtime television writer began with a reference to the hit drama series, and explained how the current political climate — and his desperation to ensure a loss for former President Donald Trump — called for a bit of a rewrite.

Surely Mr. Romney, who doesn’t have to be introduced to voters, would peel off enough Republican votes to win, probably by a lot,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;Does Mr. Romney support abortion rights? No. Does he want to aggressively raise the minimum wage, bolster public education, strengthen unions, expand transgender rights and enact progressive tax reform? Probably not,&#8221; Sorkin conceded, but he went on to say that those things didn&#8217;t matter as much as making sure that there was no way for Trump to win.
Sorkin concluded by taking creative license to the history of January 6th for his own purposes, adding, &#8220;But is he a cartoon thug who did nothing but watch TV while the mob he assembled beat and used Tasers on police officers? No. The choice is between Donald Trump and not-Trump, and the not-Trump candidate needs only one qualification: to win enough votes from a cross section of Americans to close off the former president’s Electoral College path back to power.&#8221;
Despite his op-ed, following Biden&#8217;s Sunday afternoon announcement that he would no longer seek the Democratic nomination, and his endorsing of Vice President Kamala Harris, Sorkin stated that he was supporting the VP. &#8220;I take it all back. Harris for America!&#8221;

Following the assassination attempt of former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>, the Amazon Prime TV series “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Boys</a>” added a content warning to the season 4 finale, which premiered on Thursday.
“This episode contains scenes of fictional political violence,” the update at the start of the episode says. “Any similarities to recent events are completely coincidental and unintentional. Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television and the producers of The Boys oppose, in the strongest terms, real-world violence of any kind.”
The show’s official account shared a similar message on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C9jhBWftGVS/?igsh=MWF0Y2pmbGRhaTN0OA%3D%3D" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a>, clarifying that it “is a fictitious series that was filmed in 2023, and any scene or plotline similarities to these real-world events are coincidental and unintentional.”
The episode’s title was originally “Assassination Run,” but it was later changed to “Season Four Finale,” per <a href="https://tvline.com/news/the-boys-season-4-finale-content-warning-trump-assassination-1235282807/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TV Line</a>.
Season 4 of the series included an ongoing storyline about the planned assassination of President-Elect of the United States Robert Singer. 
The finale’s episode description <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/the-boys-finale-assassination-episode-trump-filmed-2023-1235952029/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a>: “It’s January 6th as Congress certifies the election results to officially make Bob Singer President and Victoria Neuman his VP. Meanwhile, The Boys try to protect Singer from assassination, not realizing that the assassin is closer than they think.”
At Trump&#8217;s campaign rally in western Pennsylvania on Saturday, a shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, managed to get onto a nearby rooftop and begin shooting roughly 150 yards away from the stage with <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/07/15/thomas-crooks-trump-assassination-investigation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an AR-style rifle</a> before the Secret Service could stop him. A bullet ripped through Trump’s right ear, causing blood to pour down his face. The shooter also killed one rally-goer and injured two others. A Secret Service sniper <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sniper-picture-trump-rally-shooter-rangefinder-assassination-attempt/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> shot and killed Crooks from another building while other personnel rushed to protect Trump and escort him off the stage.
“The Boys” is a satirical superhero TV series developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video and based on the comic book of the same name. It follows an eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat individuals with superpowers – called “Supes” –  who use their powers for personal gain. The villains work for a large company that ensures the world sees them as heroes.
The series was nominated for eight Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series in 2021. “The Boys” also won six Astra TV Awards and seven Critics&#8217; Choice Super Awards.

The hit FX Original “The Bear” broke a record for a comedy series, racking up the most <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/emmys">Emmy nominations</a> ever in that genre. 
Nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards were announced Wednesday morning. The FX drama series “Shogun” led the total nominations with 25, while “The Bear” made second place overall with 23. Prior to 2024, the most Emmy nominations for a comedy series went to NBC&#8217;s “30 Rock,” which received 22 nods in 2009.
“The Bear” documents the drama of a Chicago-based sandwich shop that goes through a drastic transformation after the owner takes his life. Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) leaves the world of fine dining to run his late brother’s popular spot, then eventually transforms it into a totally different type of restaurant with the help of a supporting cast, including Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colon-Zoyas, Abby Elliot, and others.
Last year, the show earned 13 Emmy nominations and took home 10 wins.
Other projects with a large number of Emmy nominations include Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” with 21, HBO&#8217;s “True Detective: Night Country” with 19, and Netflix’s “The Crown” with 18.
The 76th Emmys will air live on ABC from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET.
