The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/wisconsin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wisconsin</a> Senate race is now a “toss up” between incumbent Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican challenger Eric Hovde, according to the Cook Political Report.
The election forecaster <a href="https://www.cookpolitical.com/analysis/senate/wisconsin-senate/wisconsin-senate-shifts-lean-democrat-toss" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> on Tuesday that the race had shifted from “lean Democratic” to “toss up” as polls show Baldwin’s lead decreasing. The move comes after a survey from Cook found that Baldwin held a 49%-47% lead over Hovde, much smaller than her seven point lead in Cook&#8217;s previous poll.
The race has tightened because Hovde had consolidated Republican support and made gains among independents, according to Cook.
&#8220;Sen. Baldwin&#8217;s radical agenda has sparked record high inflation, created chaos [at] the southern border, and made our communities less safe,” Hovde spokesman Zach Bannon <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/wisconsin-senate-race-shifts-toss-up-handicapper-tammy-baldwin-fights-re-election" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in response to the news. “Eric Hovde is going to win because the people of Wisconsin are ready for change.&#8221;
The National Republican Senatorial Committee said that the ratings shift demonstrated that Wisconsin was ready for change.
&#8220;After 25 years in Washington, Tammy Baldwin has become the typical D.C. politician, voting in lockstep with the failed Biden agenda and hiding her Wall Street partner&#8217;s stock trades from her constituents. Wisconsinites are ready for change, and Eric Hovde has the momentum,&#8221; spokesman Tate Mitchell said.
Last week, it was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrats-sounding-alarm-bells-over-holding-senate-seat-in-battleground-state-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Democratic strategists were having “alarm bells” and &#8220;growing fear&#8221; about retaining Baldwin’s seat as Axios reported that her lead in internal polls had shrunk to just two points.

The Democratic fears come as Hovde has <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/30/us-news/senate-gop-super-pac-dumps-nearly-70m-into-pennsylvania-wisconsin-and-michigan-races/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">benefited</a> from a recent influx of cash backing his campaign. The Republican Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC linked to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), is committing $17 million to elect Hovde.
With Democrats currently holding a 51-49 advantage in the Senate, both parties are gearing up for what is expected to be a tight battle for the majority. Republicans are currently expected to pick up seats in West Virginia and Montana, while races in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin are all expected to be competitive.
&#8220;I wish I had better news, but four recent polls show this race statistically tied,&#8221; Baldwin <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TammyBaldwin/posts/i-wish-i-had-better-news-but-four-recent-polls-show-this-race-statistically-tied/1103397807808238/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in September. &#8220;Our Senate majority will come down to Wisconsin.&#8221;
Hovde and Baldwin are set to debate on October 18 in Madison, just weeks before Election Day.

The cohosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; invited Vice President Kamala Harris to join them on Tuesday in piling on former President Donald Trump, and Harris was only too happy to take them up on the offer.
Harris has faced criticism from both Republicans and Democrats for failing to do substantive interviews — and if the softball questions she got from the left-leaning cohosts of the midday talk show are any indication of what&#8217;s to come, those critics aren&#8217;t likely to be satisfied anytime soon.
Couched comfortably between the softballs, cohosts Ana Navarro and Joy Behar encouraged Harris to take a few potshots at her Republican opponent, and she obliged.
Navarro rescued Harris from the only serious question of the day — which she had fumbled by saying that she couldn&#8217;t think of anything she would have done differently from President Biden — and gave her a mulligan.

Right now there is a monster storm barreling towards my state of Florida, a place that&#8217;s still reeling from Hurricane Helene. Trump is lying, claiming that the Biden administration is intentionally withholding aid from the areas where Republicans live and that FEMA funds are being redirected to migrants. Ironically, that is something he did in 2019. What do you think the effect of these lies are and why is he doing this?&#8221;

What Trump actually said, in a Truth Social post in December of 2022, was a response to internal Twitter emails proving that the platform had intentionally buried reporting on the contents of Hunter Biden&#8217;s now infamous laptop — information which, according to polling, could very well have changed the outcome of the 2020 election.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis slammed Vice President Kamala Harris this week for trying to play political games with the disaster response to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
An NBC News reporter with a history of bias against DeSantis reported Monday afternoon that the governor was not taking calls from Harris because the calls appeared to be &#8220;political&#8221; in nature.
Harris seized on the report, claiming to reporters that DeSantis was rejecting her calls because he was the one &#8220;playing political games.&#8221;
&#8220;In these crisis situations — these are the height of emergency situations — is just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish, and it is about political gamesmanship, instead of doing the job that you took an oath to do, which is to put the people first,&#8221; she <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2024/10/07/remarks-by-vice-president-harris-before-air-force-two-departure-joint-base-andrews-md/">claimed</a>.
The governor noted during a subsequent press conference on Monday evening that he had no idea that she called, he never received a call from her, and the quote that he believed she was playing &#8220;political&#8221; games did not come from anyone in his office which has historically been tight-lipped.
&#8220;I didn&#8217;t know that she had called, so I&#8217;m not sure who they called,&#8221; he said. &#8220;They didn&#8217;t call me, and their characterization of it was something that they did, it wasn&#8217;t anything that anybody in my office did, in terms of saying that it was political.&#8221;
During an interview Monday night, DeSantis said the notion that he was &#8220;selfish&#8221; for focusing on the state of Florida was &#8220;delusional.&#8221;
&#8220;She has no role in this,&#8221; he noted. &#8220;In fact, she&#8217;s been vice president for three and a half years. I&#8217;ve dealt with a number of storms under this administration. She has never contributed anything to any of these efforts. And so what I think is selfish is her trying to blunder into this. She has no role in this process.&#8221;

&#8220;I&#8217;ve had storms under both President Trump and President Biden, and I worked well with both of them,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;She&#8217;s the first one who&#8217;s trying to politicize the storm, and she&#8217;s doing that just because of her campaign. She&#8217;s trying to get some type of an edge. She knows she&#8217;s doing poorly, and so she&#8217;s playing these political games. I don&#8217;t have time for political games. I&#8217;ve got people whose lives are on the line. I&#8217;ve got people whose homes and their possessions are on the line, and we are focused 100% on that mission.&#8221;
During a subsequent interview Tuesday morning, when asked about Harris&#8217; comments, he said that what is happening right now is not about her.
&#8220;It&#8217;s not about you, Kamala, it&#8217;s about the people of Florida,&#8221; he said, adding again that Harris was the first person he&#8217;s ever encountered who is trying to politicize a hurricane.
&#8220;She has never called on any of the storms we&#8217;ve had since she&#8217;s been vice president until apparently now,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Why all of the sudden is she trying to parachute in and inject herself when she&#8217;s never shown any interest in the past? We know it&#8217;s because of politics. We know it&#8217;s because of her campaign. I have zero time to entertain these political games.&#8221;
He said that he has had good responses from President Joe Biden with respect to the current storms.
&#8220;Harris is not even in the chain of command,&#8221; he added. &#8220;She has no role in this. I mean, the idea that I should be like worrying about her when I&#8217;m focused on the task at hand is just quite frankly, absurd.&#8221;

Inflation and cost of living are the top issues for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pennsylvania" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pennsylvania</a> voters headed into Election Day, according to a new poll from the Commonwealth Foundation. 
The survey, taken between September 26-29 of 800 registered voters, found that inflation/cost of living, immigration, and general economic concerns were the top issues for Pennsylvania residents. Across all parties surveyed, 71% said they were worried about their ability to pay for their energy needs. 
“The higher prices people are paying for gasoline, electricity, and other energy across the board are shaping their views as voters look to the impact of these issues on their pocket books as their chief concerns,” Commonwealth Foundation Senior Vice President Erik Telford said during a press call Tuesday. 
Voting in Pennsylvania has already started.
When <a href="https://www.commonwealthfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Common-Ground-in-the-Commonwealth-Q3-2024-Survey-Analysis-.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">surveyed</a> on their top national issues, Pennsylvania voters said inflation/cost of living (20%), immigration/border security (12%), and the economy in general (9%) were most important to them. Abortion, an issue Democrats have focused much of their campaign efforts on, was only the top issue for 5% of those surveyed. 
The poll also found Vice President Kamala Harris with a 50%-46% lead over former President Donald Trump. Her lead was propelled in part by a surge in enthusiasm for Harris among Democratic voters after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, the poll found.
Biden’s popularity in Pennsylvania is still underwater, with just 43% approving of his performance and 55% expressing disapproval. 
More broadly, polls in Pennsylvania show a tight race between Trump and Harris, virtually tied at 48%, according to an <a href="https://election.dailywire.com/?_gl=1*1kgz9fq*_gcl_au*ODEzNzM5OTMyLjE3MjA2MzY3MDc.*_ga*OTUxNjU0OTE2LjE2OTY4ODU4OTM.*_ga_CZKR9ZYKJP*MTcyODQwMDM1Mi4yOTYuMS4xNzI4NDAwMzUzLjU5LjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">average</a> of polls. Telford said that the deciding factors in November would be candidate messaging on inflation and energy and turnout among independent voters.

“A key factor will be how well candidates define themselves around financial and economic insecurity issues driving voter behavior,” Telford said. “Candidates and elected officials must remain aware of the economic and financial pressures on individuals and families. Policies that make things worse or threaten their financial futures will get little support.”
In Pennsylvania&#8217;s high-stakes Senate race, incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey held a 49%-38% lead over Republican challenger Dave McCormick. Republicans <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/10/06/senate-republican-ad-spending-map-uneven-00182625" target="_blank" rel="noopener">are spending</a> big money backing McCormick, with an estimated $113 million allocated to elect him between Labor Day and Election Day. 
Overall, voters were pessimistic about the direction of Pennsylvania (57%) and the country (68%).

A newly unearthed webinar from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) features disaster management personnel talking about prioritizing &#8220;disaster equity&#8221; over helping the most people possible.
The webinar, titled “Helping LGBTQIA+ Survivors Before Disasters,” was <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZLOW_ftqLs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> to YouTube in March of last year.
The discussion included a back and forth between moderator Tyler Atkins, an Emergency Management Specialist at FEMA who uses he/they pronouns, and Maggie Jarry of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Jarry claimed that disaster services are already shifting towards &#8220;disaster equity&#8221; and away from helping the greatest number of people.
“The shift that we’re seeing right now is a shift in emergency management from utilitarian principles — where everything is designed for the greatest good for the greatest amount of people — to disaster equity. But we have to do more,” Jarry said.
She went on to suggest that the disaster response policies at federal agencies may have been designed to &#8220;erase&#8221; certain communities.
“The topic at hand here is, are the policies that have been developed actually biased in benign neglect or intentional erasure of the specific communities that are probably most in need of those services, and does the aid then bias toward people with assets or other types of situations that weren’t part of the norm of this industry in the past,” Jarry said.
Atkins chimed in, “The topic of preparedness and preparedness resources and the intersectionalities within equities and discrimination and hate — it’s a real thing that needs to be discussed, needs to be vocalized, and we need to start looking at how we can find solutions to this.”
FEMA&#8217;s website proclaims &#8220;equity&#8221; in emergency management as its top goal.
“Underserved communities, as well as specific identity groups, often suffer disproportionately from disasters. As a result, disasters worsen inequities already present in society,” FEMA&#8217;s &#8220;Goal 1&#8221; initiative <a href="https://www.fema.gov/about/strategic-plan/goal-1#:~:text=Underserved%20communities%2C%20as%20well%20as,their%20risk%20to%20future%20disasters." target="_blank" rel="noopener">reads</a>.
“This cycle compounds the challenges faced by these communities and increases their risk to future disasters. By instilling equity as a foundation of emergency management and striving to meet the unique needs of underserved communities, the emergency management community can work to break this cycle and build a more resilient nation,” FEMA says.
The webinar came to light amid the deadly devastation from Hurricane Helene in North Carolina and other areas. The hurricane has killed at least <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/05/us/helene-death-toll-rises-saturday/index.html">232 people</a> across six states, more than 100 of those deaths in North Carolina.
Photos and videos of Asheville, North Carolina, and other areas show houses and cars underwater and wreckage trapping people from coming in and out. In the days after the storm, tragic stories came to light. One Asheville family, a couple in their 70s and their six-year-old grandson, <a href="https://www.fox4news.com/news/helene-aftermath-social-media-pleas-turn-tragic-death-toll-climbs.amp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">drowned</a> after the roof they were on collapsed while the boy’s mother survived, wedged between objects nearby.
The Biden administration’s response to the storm has sparked anger among critics, who pointed out that FEMA <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-rips-into-kamala-for-spending-fema-money-on-housing-for-illegal-migrants" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spent</a> $1.4 billion on housing illegal migrants over the last two years. That money came from FEMA&#8217;s Shelter and Services Program, which is separate from its Disaster Relief Fund.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Thursday that FEMA has funding for immediate needs but will run out before the end of the hurricane season. FEMA has requested more money from Congress, he said.
However, a Department of Homeland Security inspector general’s <a href="https://www.oig.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/assets/2024-08/OIG-24-45-Aug24.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">report</a> from August <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/10/07/us-news/watchdog-found-7b-in-untapped-fema-funds-even-though-dhs-secretary-mayorkas-said-none-available-for-future-disasters/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a> that FEMA has more than $7 billion remaining in emergency funding meant for disasters from 2012 or earlier that “could potentially be returned to the Disaster Relief Fund.”
So far, the federal government has given only $4 million to Americans hit by the hurricane. Vice President Kamala Harris said FEMA has been providing $750 to people for “immediate needs” like baby formula.
The storm has caused more than $47.5 billion in devastation.

&#8220;Um, the work that we have done, for example, capping the cost of insulin at $35 a month for our seniors, is something I care deeply about,&#8221; Harris continued, leaving out the fact that in order to cap insulin prices at $35 per month, Biden had first had to rescind the policy implemented by former President Donald Trump (which had capped the price at $35 per month) and wait for the cost to go back up.

The Biden-Harris administration is facing criticism over border policies after eight ISIS terror suspects from Tajikistan, who illegally crossed the border, were arrested over the summer for planning a terrorist attack in the U.S.
Federal law enforcement officials arrested the suspects in coordinated raids in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia after learning that they were actively plotting to carry out an attack on U.S. soil.
CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tajikistan-men-alleged-isis-ties-removed-immigration-proceedings-us-officials/">reported</a> that after four months, three of the suspects have been deported to Tajikistan and Russia while four additional suspects are in custody and expected to be removed in the coming weeks.
The eighth suspect will likely face a similar outcome but is waiting for his judicial proceedings after they were delayed for a medical issue, the report said.

&#8220;It’s good that three potential national security threats have been removed from the country,&#8221; House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-NC) told The Daily Wire. &#8220;However, they shouldn’t have been here to begin with. Some even reportedly used Biden and Harris’ CBP One mass-parole scheme to enter!&#8221;
Green said that he was deeply concerned about the number of &#8220;possible terrorists, gang members, and individuals with criminal backgrounds&#8221; that have been released into the country by the Biden-Harris administration after illegally crossing the border.
He also said he was concerned about how many of those individuals entered the country illegally among the two million &#8220;gotaways&#8221; who evaded law enforcement and are now roaming the streets of America.
However, the decision to deport the illegal alien terrorist suspects instead of prosecuting them could be shortsighted and prove to be a national security threat later down the road.
&#8220;If we are only deporting and not prosecuting foreign nationals with terrorist ties, how soon will we see these same previously deported criminals return and enter undetected to carry out a terrorist attack?&#8221; a former senior federal law enforcement official told The Daily Wire.
&#8220;These individuals are dedicated to their cause, they do not fear jail or death,&#8221; the former official added. &#8220;There is no shortage of Mexican human smuggling groups willing to use specially vetted routes to cross high-value clients willing to pay top dollar.&#8221;
FBI Director Christopher Wray <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/blinking-lights-everywhere-fbi-director-warns-foreign-terrorists-trying-to-exploit-u-s-southern-border">warned</a> late last year that terrorists were trying to exploit the open southern border policies of the Biden-Harris administration.
“I am concerned that we are in an elevated threat environment, a heightened threat environment from foreign terrorist organizations for a whole host of reasons,” Wray said. “And obviously their ability to exploit any port of entry including our southwest border is a source of concern. There’s a lot of discussion about numbers and numbers are important, but let’s not forget that it didn’t take a big number of people on 9/11 to kill 3000 people. On Monday, October 7, on the first anniversary of the barbaric Hamas massacre of more than 1200 Israelis, 85 retired U.S. generals and admirals published an <a href="https://jinsa.org/open-letter-from-retired-u-s-military-leaders-in-support-of-israel-on-october-7-anniversary/">open letter</a> calling for unequivocal support for the Jewish state against the Iranian terror axis that includes Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.
The letter began by acknowledging “Hamas’s barbaric attack on Israel,” and urged the United States “to learn a fundamental lesson from the past year: the critical imperative to support Israel fully in not only defending itself but also defeating our common adversaries.”
“The war that the Iranian axis launched a year ago is not just a war against Israel, nor is it being fought only in the Middle East. Iran’s reign of terror transcends boundaries,” the military leaders wrote, adding, “Iran and its terror proxies do not distinguish between Israel and the United States. They not only regularly call for the destruction of both our countries, but they have attacked, kidnapped and killed Israelis and Americans alike in the last year, as well as in years before. Its assassins plot murder against U.S. citizens in the American homeland. And its coffers are filled with Chinese funds. October 7 is not an isolated incident, but one front in a much larger global civilizational struggle.”
Turning to Israel’s current war against the terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon, they continued, “There should be no ceasefire until Israel’s operations have succeeded in creating the conditions necessary for its citizens to return to their homes to live in peace and security. So, too, should the United States arm and assist Israel as it responds to Iran’s latest attack against it.”

Iran-backed Hezbollah, with the blood of hundreds of U.S. servicemembers and citizens on its hands, has driven tens of thousands of Israelis from their homes with their unceasing barrage of rockets over the past year. Now, Israel has taken the fight to Hezbollah. With American weapons and support, it is systematically degrading Hezbollah’s terror army, restoring deterrence, and dealing Iran’s strongest proxy a major blow. There should be no ceasefire until Israel’s operations have succeeded in creating the conditions necessary for its citizens to return to their homes to live in peace and security. Indeed, we have also learned another more hopeful lesson in the last year: when the United States and Israel stand together, these enemies can be deterred and defeated. We saw this on April 13 when Iran launched over 300 missiles and drones at Israel, in August when Tehran threatened another massive attack, and again on October 1 when Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of missiles. None of those threats or brazen attacks succeeded. When the United States strongly and clearly declares that it has Israel’s back, its adversaries back down.
There should be no daylight between our two countries. Daily Wire host Michael Knowles eviscerated the Left’s misinterpretation of the history and motivations behind Hamas’ October 7 attack in a speech on Monday night.
Knowles <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UCa-8jKddw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spoke</a> at the University of California, Berkeley, which marked the anniversary of the terrorist group&#8217;s attack against Israel. In his speech, he called out the Left for claiming that Israel is occupying Palestinian land and missing the religious motivations behind Hamas’ attack.
Knowles said that leftist student protesters chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” are ignorant of the history of the Holy Land.
“There has never been a nation-state known as Palestine, even if there had been, Palestinian Arabs would not be the indigenous heirs to the Levant, which was Byzantine before Muslim Arabs invaded and conquered the land in the 7th century,” Knowles said.
“Jews had lived as a nation in the Levant, eventually becoming incorporated into the Roman Empire until the Jewish-Roman wars of the first and second centuries,” he added. “That is a deeper historical tie than the Muslim Arabs can claim.”
The Daily Wire host argued that “all indigenous arguments” for the right to certain areas “fall flat,” saying that pointing to “historical occupation” is not sufficient to claim the Holy Land “as a nation-state for the Arabs, or the Byzantines or the Romans or the Jews or the Caananites or the Hittites for that matter.”
“None of whom, by the way, even conceived of the modern nation-state before it appeared in the 17th century as a way to restore political order to Europe, which had been embroiled in more than a century of war following the Protestant revolution,” Knowles said.
“The more sophisticated campus protesters make arguments that go deeper than the land and the sea,” he added. “They will argue that Palestinian Muslims must have a nation-state in order to protect some vague notion of human rights.”

“The campus babble about human rights is silly, but it is more sophisticated than the argument about the river and the sea because it at least approaches the real key to the October 7 attack, which is religion,” he added.

Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> will head to Vice President Kamala Harris’s home state of California this weekend to rally supporters in the deep blue state with less than a month to go in the presidential race. 
The event will be held on Saturday at the Calhoun Ranch at 5:00 p.m. local time in Coachella, according to Trump&#8217;s campaign. Coachella is in Southern California&#8217;s Coachella Valley, widely known for its annual music and art festival. The announcement indicated that Trump’s remarks will focus on inflation, the cost of living, and the records of Harris, her vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, and California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom. 
“Under Kamala Harris and her dangerous Democrat allies like Tim Walz, the notorious ‘California Dream’ has turned into a nightmare for everyday Americans. Since Harris and Biden took office, prices have skyrocketed by nearly 20 percent, leaving Californians grappling with crushing costs,” the campaign said. “Families are struggling to stay afloat, with the average California household losing more than $33,232 since January 2021. Californians are suffocating under rising prices for everything from groceries to housing, thanks to Kamalanomics.”
The announcement also pointed to surging home prices in California, including in cities like San Diego, where the median home price is more than $1 million, and gas prices reached record highs in 2022. 
“This is the future Harris and Walz want for the rest of America — crippling inflation, unaffordable housing, and sky-high gas prices,” the campaign said. “If this is the California Dream, it’s every American&#8217;s worst nightmare. President Trump is the only candidate who can reverse the damage done by Comrade Kamala, and it&#8217;s why Americans will elect him the 47th President of the United States this November.”
Steven Hernandez, the mayor of Coachella, <a href="https://www.kcra.com/article/trump-campaign-rally-coachella-california/62535916" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responded</a> to the news of the rally by criticizing Trump. 
&#8220;The City of Coachella was proud to welcome Senator Bernie Sanders during the 2020 primary election, but news of former President Trump’s upcoming visit has been met very differently,&#8221; Hernandez wrote on Facebook. &#8220;Trump’s attacks on immigrants, women, the LQBTQ community and the most vulnerable among us don’t align with the values of our community. He has consistently expressed disdain for the type of diversity that helps define Coachella. We don’t know why Trump is visiting near Coachella, but we know he wasn’t invited by the people who live here. He ain’t like us.&#8221;

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, a conservative, will assist the Secret Service in providing security for the event. He <a href="https://kesq.com/news/2024/10/07/donald-trump-to-host-a-rally-in-coachella-on-saturday-oct-12/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that Hernandez&#8217;s statement was divisive. 
&#8220;Mr. Hernandez, better take a look around, because he obviously was invited by the people that live there and work there, and maybe he&#8217;s going to be in line for an awakening in the future, because this constant divide and this constant rhetoric that we have going on is not good for the country,&#8221; said Bianco, who endorsed Trump earlier this year. Bianco is <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-06-08/riverside-county-sheriff-chad-bianco-is-mulling-a-run-for-governor-in-2026">reportedly</a> considering a run for governor in 2026.
While California is a Democratic stronghold, several key House races in the state could determine control of the chamber.

Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that Iran was the country that she considers to be the greatest U.S. adversary, despite its weak economy and military.
Harris made the remarks during a CBS News &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; interview that aired Monday night when asked what country was America&#8217;s greatest enemy.
The bizarre answer comes after the Biden-Harris administration relaxed sanctions enforcement against the Islamic regime, allowing it to earn tens of billions of dollars in oil revenues that it has used to fund terrorism throughout the region.
&#8220;Iran has American blood on their hands,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And what we saw in terms of just this attack on Israel, 200 ballistic missiles, what we need to do to ensure that Iran never achieves the ability to be a nuclear power, that is one of my highest priorities.&#8221;
She refused to answer if she would take military action to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Most national security experts and U.S. officials also do not agree with the assessment that Iran is the greatest adversary the U.S. faces. China, Russia, and even North Korea are most often cited as greater threats.
Even Pakistan, which is not a U.S. adversary, has been cited by U.S. officials as being the country they worry about the most because of the country&#8217;s nuclear stockpile, political and social instability, and its Islamist government.

Harris stated that resorting to violence to settle political differences was not acceptable and that she was disturbed by the attempts on Trump&#8217;s life.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) called out the Biden-Harris administration during an interview over the weekend for failing to call out Iran directly over its attempts to assassinate Trump.
“You have had no statements from the administration towards Iran as to what that would be, which would be an act of war,” he said. “And you don’t have any statements from Vice President Harris condemning this or even recognizing that there’s an active plot from a foreign nation to kill her opponent.”
“I do think that Vice President Harris needs to actively state and acknowledge that her administration is saying a foreign power, which would be an act of war is actively trying to kill her opponent,” he continued.
Turner added that the Biden-Harris administration “has made stronger statements about Iran’s hacking activities than they have about the active plot to kill Donald Trump, which the administration acknowledged is ongoing.”
“There has to be an acknowledgment, which has not happened from Vice President Harris, that there’s active plots from a foreign nation to kill her opponent,” he added.
