The trial for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-swat-team-conducts-early-morning-raid-arrests-pro-life-activist-at-pennsylvania-home-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pro-life activist</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/catholicism" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Catholic</a> father of seven Mark Houck started Tuesday before U.S. District Judge Gerald J. Pappert in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/doj" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department of Justice</a> is targeting Houck, who leads a nonprofit group that provides sidewalk counseling at abortion clinics in Philadelphia, over an incident from 2021 involving his then-12-year-old son at a Planned Parenthood abortion facility. The family says Houck, who&#8217;s been charged with violating the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, was defending his son from a harassing pro-abortion activist. Houck is facing 11 years behind bars and $350,000 in fines if convicted.
“This is a political prosecution,” <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/pro-life-activist-mark-houck-pleads-not-guilty-federal-charges-fbi-arrest" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> one of Houck&#8217;s attorneys, Peter Breen, Thomas More Society vice president. Breen added his client is innocent and the Biden DOJ moved against Houck to “send a message” to pro-life Americans.
“And what’s clear from the Department of Justice at its highest levels, which is directing this case, [is] that they are trying to send a message to pro-life and people of faith: ‘Don’t mess with us,&#8217;” he said. “They want to intimidate — they want to cause good people like Mark to stop praying and counseling at the abortion clinics of our country. And that’s not going to happen.”
“What in the world would possess the Department of Justice to send 20 or so heavily armed agents to this family’s home, violate the sanctity of that home, frighten the children and then drag their father away instead of allowing us to present him peacefully, which we had offered to do?” Breen questioned.
The DOJ in a press release last year <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-edpa/pr/bucks-county-man-indicted-federal-charges-assaulting-reproductive-healthcare-clinic" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> Houck assaulted the abortion escort on two occasions on October 13, 2021, &#8220;because he was a volunteer reproductive health care clinic escort.&#8221;
“Assault is always a serious offense, and under the FACE Act, if the victim is targeted because of their association with a reproductive healthcare clinic, it is a federal crime,” U.S. Attorney Jacqueline Romero said in the release. “Our Office and the Department of Justice are committed to prosecuting crimes which threaten the safety and rights of all individuals.”
Lawyers for Mark Houck during pre-trial last week said they produced evidence proving that when Congress passed the FACE Act &#8220;it expressly intended to exclude so-called &#8216;escorts&#8217; operating outside of abortion facilities from being encompassed by the FACE Act.&#8221;
“The FACE Act was never intended to cover disputes between advocates on the public sidewalks outside of our nation’s abortion clinics,” Breen <a href="https://thomasmoresociety.org/thomas-more-society-attorneys-drop-bombshell-evidence-in-biden-dojs-persecution-of-pro-life-dad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “This new evidence shows clearly that Congress intended to limit the FACE Act to patients and staff working in the clinic, and not to take sides between pro-life and pro-choice counselors and escorts on the sidewalk. The Biden Department of Justice’s prosecution of Mark Houck is pure harassment, meant solely to intimidate our nation’s pro-life sidewalk counselors who provide vital resources to help pregnant women at risk for abortion.”

Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lauren-boebert" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lauren Boebert</a> (R-CO) announced legislation to defund Planned Parenthood on Friday as thousands of people gathered in Washington, D.C., <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-lifers-celebrate-first-march-for-life-since-scotus-victory-plan-for-future" target="_blank" rel="noopener">for the March for Life</a> — the first time the annual event has been held since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
&#8220;I’ve introduced my first bill of the 118th Congress. It would defund Planned Parenthood. We need to protect the sanctity of life in this country. To all those marching at the March For Life, let’s rally behind this bill and get it done!&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/laurenboebert/status/1616537815466266624" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Boebert said in a tweet</a>.
More than $633 million in taxpayers&#8217; dollars went to Planned Parenthood affiliates for the year ending June 30, 2021, the group said in its <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/40/8f/408fc2ad-c8c2-48da-ad87-be5cc257d370/211214-ppfa-annualreport-20-21-c3-digital.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">most recent annual report covering 2020-2021</a>. The group, which offers a range of health care services to women, also acknowledged 383,460 abortion procedures, which marked an increase from <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/02/26/planned-parenthood-is-providing-less-breast-screenings-wellness-exams-and-more-abortions-transgender-services/?_gl=1*uvhiy*_ga*MTc4NTIyNDgzOC4xNjc0MjUzMTU4*_ga_W14BT6YQ87*MTY3NDI1MzE1OC4xLjAuMTY3NDI1MzE1OC42MC4wLjA." target="_blank" rel="noopener">354,871 in the previous report</a>.
The Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the group&#8217;s advocacy arm, <a href="https://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/issue" target="_blank" rel="noopener">has a page on its website</a> claiming that when politicians talk about &#8220;defunding&#8221; Planned Parenthood, &#8220;they really mean blocking patients who depend on public health care funds from getting their care at Planned Parenthood health centers.&#8221;
Under Boebert&#8217;s legislation, <a href="https://boebert.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-lauren-boebert-introduces-defund-planned-parenthood-act" target="_blank" rel="noopener">which boasts 29 co-sponsors</a>, federal tax dollars are prohibited for one year from going to Planned Parenthood and its affiliates unless these entities certify they will not provide any funds or services geared toward abortions. There are exceptions outlined for the moratorium, including for abortions in a pregnancy that are the result of an act of rape or incest, as well as in cases when the mother&#8217;s life is placed in danger.
The &#8220;Defund Planned Parenthood Act&#8221; orders secretaries of the Health and Human Services Department and Agriculture Department to seek repayment of any federal assistance received by Planned Parenthood or its affiliates who are found in violation of their certifications. Boebert&#8217;s bill also aims to appropriate $235,000 to community health center programs under <a href="https://www.nachc.org/focus-areas/policy-matters/health-center-funding/330-program-requirements/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act</a>.
“The nation’s largest abortion provider has no business receiving taxpayer dollars. Planned Parenthood claims these funds go to healthcare for women, but last year, Planned Parenthood performed a record number of abortions while also reducing the number of well-woman exams and breast cancer screenings it performed,&#8221; Boebert said in a statement. &#8220;Instead of funding Planned Parenthood, my bill will redirect this funding to community health centers that actually meet the health needs of women across the country.”
As with many Republican bills aimed at defunding Planned Parenthood over the years, this one faces long odds. The GOP has a slim majority in the House, but Democrats who control the Senate and White House likely would oppose any such measure.
Still, Republicans remain undeterred. On the Senate side, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) announced Friday she will reintroduce the Protect Funding for Women&#8217;s Health Care Act, <a href="https://www.ernst.senate.gov/news/press-releases/as-thousands-march-for-life-ernst-continues-fight-to-defund-planned-parenthood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">which a statement said</a> &#8220;prohibits federal funding to Planned Parenthood or any of its affiliate organizations and redirects funds for other health services for women, such as cancer screenings, prenatal and postnatal care, immunizations, and other eligible services.&#8221;

Shocking to no one who has been paying attention, the largest abortion business in America does not respect children outside the womb any more than inside.
 Recently, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/planned-parenthood-exec-said-children-are-born-sexual-wants-kid-porn-literacy-lessons" target="_blank" rel="noopener">conservative media drew attention</a> to Planned Parenthood’s exploitative predilection for our youngest children, highlighting one more cultural divide between those who want to protect children and those who see them as something to use or reject as they see fit.
Planned Parenthood is in hot water after <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/planned-parenthood-director-claimed-children-sexual-beings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comments surfaced</a> revealing that they support sexualizing young children. The remarks came from Bill Taverner, director of Planned Parenthood’s Center for Sex Education. In 2015 he <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/02/planned-parenthood-director-bill-taverner-claims-kids-are-sexual-beings-from-birth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> children and adults with intellectual disabilities are “sexual beings” from birth. 
Earlier, he advocated &#8216;porn literacy&#8217; for children as young as kindergarten.
Fox News recently published Taverner’s <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comments</a> in which he stated, “[We have] in our society, an assumption of asexuality of people with intellectual disabilities. It’s a myth that’s perpetuated, and really we are all sexual beings from birth until death.” Describing children as “sexual beings from birth” is not how most people would talk about children and reveals a pederastic and pedophilic worldview that most people rightly find disturbing.
Taverner’s comments are not outside the mainstream of Planned Parenthood, however. One media outlet <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/02/planned-parenthood-director-bill-taverner-claims-kids-are-sexual-beings-from-birth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a> that Planned Parenthood’s sexual education pamphlet called “Fundamentals of Teaching Sexuality” states that “sexuality is a part of life through all the ages and stages.” The pamphlet continues, “Babies, elders, and everyone in between can experience sexuality.”
This perverse impulse to sexualize children is also consistent with pop culture phenomenon, “the father of the sexual revolution” himself, <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alfred Kinsey</a>. In the 1940s and 50s, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/statue-honoring-controversial-sex-researcher-alfred-kinsey-draws-criticism" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kinsey claimed to be a scientist and researcher</a>, and his “research” still affects public policy in the present day. Starting with the premise that children are “sexual beings,” Kinsey embraced the mindset of pedophiles who reportedly <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">victimized hundreds of children</a> in the course of “research.”
These assertions are not wild speculation but are <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> by meticulous data. In one particularly disturbing example, Kinsey published <a href="https://familywatch.org/fwi/Kinsey_fraud.cfm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Table 34</a> in Chapter 5 of his misleading book Sexual Behavior in the Human Male. The table purports to show the “sexual response” of children as young as infants up through adolescents. The horrifying list of sexual abuse and molestation, an evil diary, demonstrates that hundreds of children were victimized by abusers <a href="https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/video-exposes-kinsey-research-fund-4036" target="_blank" rel="noopener">who claimed the children wanted the sexual contact.</a>
Scholars have argued that the ultimate aim of Kinsey’s work was to <a href="https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1003&amp;context=psych_fac_pubs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">destigmatize pornography</a>. Planned Parenthood appears to be enthusiastically on board with this aim, once again going after the most vulnerable: our children.
In 2012, Taverner <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a>, “There’s access to erotica, pornography. That was very different for young people 30 years ago. It’s certainly not as accessible, certainly not as instantaneous. So there’s a lot of information that is useful.”
When the interviewer interrupted to say that some pornography is wrong, Taverner said flippantly, “Some of it is wrong, a lot of it is wrong. But there’s good stuff out there as well.”
What exactly is the usefulness of sexually explicit material for young children? 
We don&#8217;t have to wonder why Planned Parenthood’s top executives find it useful, though. Their <a href="https://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/issues/sex-education/how-planned-parenthood-teaches-sex-education" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a> states that the abortion business is “the single largest provider of sex education in the United States, reaching 1.2 million people with education and outreach each year.”
That is a large, captive audience of children as young as five for Planned Parenthood to sexualize with inappropriate material. And that is <a href="https://studentsforlife.org/2022/08/22/we-need-to-kick-planned-parenthoods-sexual-education-out-of-our-classrooms/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exactly what they are doing</a> in schools already.
When speaking about pornography, Taverner scoffed at the idea that children are being sexualized, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stating</a>, “There’s a resistance to … if we talk about porn, [some think] is it going to make people want to watch it? Which is the same faulty kind of premise as if we teach about condoms, it’s going to make people want to have sex with condoms or maybe that’s not a bad thing.”
No healthy adult wants to discuss and normalize pornography with five-year-olds. By discussing these topics and introducing explicit material, so-called ‘sex educators’ are changing the way kids think and behave.
That’s just part of Planned Parenthood’s business model, though. The abortion business wants children to act out and exhibit behavior far beyond their maturity. And if, as they get older, they find themselves in a difficult situation, even pregnant, <a href="https://studentsforlife.org/2022/08/22/we-need-to-kick-planned-parenthoods-sexual-education-out-of-our-classrooms/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">where are they going to turn</a>? Planned Parenthood, of course, where they will become paying customers, and perhaps end their children&#8217;s lives.
Despite the evidence of Planned Parenthood’s own words, a writer recently in the New Republic called Students for Life’s concerns evidence of being <a href="https://newrepublic.com/article/169461/anti-abortion-movement-antisemitic-conspiracy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“conspiracy addled.”</a> Yet at a time when most parents, grandparents, family, and friends are making plans for a new year with the children in their lives at the protective center, it’s not gone unnoticed that others have a different agenda.
“Age-appropriate sex education is so important,” Taverner has said. “And we have to let our experts guide us.”
Experts? Experts at ending life in the womb and getting paid for it.
Planned Parenthood’s particular focus on children — pre-born and born — is alarming. Such ‘experts’ should not be our guides.

‘Sexual From Birth’: Planned Parenthood Targets Children With ‘Porn Literacy’ Through Sex Education

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/planned-parenthood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood</a> executive has sparked backlash for saying that children are &#8220;sexual&#8221; from birth and calling for porn literacy lessons for older children.
Bill Taverner, executive director of the New Jersey-based Center for Sex Education, Planned Parenthood&#8217;s sex education arm, made the newly unearthed comments in a 2015 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfFH7bVqVQE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a>, Fox News first <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
&#8220;I think that we unfortunately have in our society, an assumption of asexuality of people with intellectual disabilities,&#8221; Taverner told the interviewer, sexuality consultant Leslie Walker-Hirsch.
&#8220;It&#8217;s a myth that&#8217;s perpetuated, and really we are all sexual beings from birth until death,&#8221; Taverner said.
Planned Parenthood itself <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">echoed</a> this sentiment in a guide called the &#8220;Fundamentals of Teaching Sexuality,&#8221; stating that, &#8220;sexuality is a part of life through all the ages and stages. Babies, elders, and everyone in between can experience sexuality.&#8221;
In a 2012 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37WNlsk5tQA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a>, Taverner appeared to imply that some pornography exposure could be &#8220;useful&#8221; for older children.
&#8220;I think that there&#8217;s this yearning for information that young people have that &#8230; hasn&#8217;t changed,&#8221; Taverner said in the interview, which was hosted by a local New Jersey chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW).
&#8220;I think that the internet is a major influence on how people learn about sexuality,&#8221; Taverner said. &#8220;There&#8217;s access to erotica, pornography. That was very different for young people 30 years ago, certainly not as accessible, certainly not as instantaneous. So there&#8217;s a lot of information that is useful, there&#8217;s websites that are —&#8221;
&#8220;Some of it is wrong,&#8221; interrupted the interviewer, NOW&#8217;s Rebecca Lubetkin.
&#8220;Some of it is wrong, a lot of it is wrong, but there&#8217;s good stuff out there as well,&#8221; Taverner responded.
Taverner added that &#8220;sexting&#8221; is another issue schools need to discuss with students during sex education.
The Planned Parenthood executive made similar remarks last year, saying that while those in public health and sexology never wanted porn to be the &#8220;de facto educator,&#8221; we need to &#8220;shift our education.&#8221;
Taverner said in a 2021 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnbpFlwlKXQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> that there is a &#8220;resistance&#8221; to discussing pornography with students because some people think it will encourage them to watch it, which Taverner called &#8220;the same faulty kind of premise as if we teach about condoms is it going to make people want to have sex with condoms. Maybe that&#8217;s not a bad thing.&#8221;
&#8220;Getting back to meeting people where they are, if this is what they&#8217;re doing with their cell phones and their tablets and their laptops, then we need to shift our education and stop doing the banana on a condom and think that, you know, we&#8217;ve done our thing,&#8221; he said.
Taverner said sex educators need to guide young people in thinking about their values, for example, the ethics of pornography.
&#8220;That&#8217;s not to say that there&#8217;s a right answer,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We need to have conversations about what&#8217;s missing in porn that may be different in a real relationship, and that&#8217;s not to castigate porn.&#8221;
Sex education can start as early as kindergarten, Taverner said in the 2012 interview. In kindergarten, sex education may involve talking about &#8220;what makes a family&#8221; or &#8220;the basics of germs.&#8221;
&#8220;All of that sets the foundation for a basic understanding that is useful for further conversations when we&#8217;re talking about condoms or when we&#8217;re talking about pregnancy prevention,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;Age-appropriate sex education is so important,&#8221; Taverner said. &#8220;We need to let our experts guide us.&#8221;
Monica Cline, a former Planned Parenthood sex educator, said Planned Parenthood clearly has a &#8220;distorted view of sexuality and children.&#8221;
&#8220;The pornification of our children by Planned Parenthood pays homage to the &#8216;Father&#8217; of sex education, Alfred Kinsey, who claimed children are sexual from birth after sexually abusing infants and children for his research,&#8221; Cline said in a statement. &#8220;The sex-ed industry, funded in large part by our government, has adopted this depraved belief, pushing this twisted thinking onto vulnerable populations since the 1970s.&#8221;
Cline called for the government to cut funding for Planned Parenthood and for parents to &#8220;wake up and get them out of the schools in their own communities.&#8221;
Taverner has worked in the sex education field since at least 1995, according to his LinkedIn page. In 2014, he <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/newsroom/press-releases/planned-parenthood-holds-capitol-hill-briefing-real-sex-ed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">advocated</a> for sex education at a congressional briefing on Capitol Hill.
Last year, he expressed his view that society has a &#8220;puritanical, anti-sex, eroti-phobic kind of orientation&#8221; around the topic of sex.
&#8220;We need to recognize that a lot of folks are driven by fear,&#8221; Taverner said in the same 2021 interview.

Contributions to <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/abortion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">abortion</a> conglomerate <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/planned-parenthood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood</a> have surpassed $20 million in the most recent <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/2022-midterms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">midterm</a> fundraising cycle, according to an <a href="https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2022/11/planned-parenthood-votes-continues-fundraising-ahead-of-2022-midterm-elections" target="_blank" rel="noopener">analysis</a> of federal election data by watchdog group OpenSecrets.
Democrats have wagered heavily on progressive backlash against the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade earlier this year as a tailwind for keeping vulnerable lawmakers in office. OpenSecrets reported that Planned Parenthood Votes, the organization’s super PAC, has raised approximately $2 million between the beginning of September and the third week of October.
Recent polling, however, indicates that abortion may be fading into the background as voters across party lines grow frustrated with the state of the economy. One <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/gop-prospects-rise-amid-economic-pessimism-wsj-poll-finds-11667295002" target="_blank" rel="noopener">survey</a> from The Wall Street Journal showed that Republicans have regained momentum over Democrats when asked which party they would rather support in their congressional district.
According to OpenSecrets, among the largest backers of Planned Parenthood Votes are Jude Laspa, a former director of the Bechtel Group, an engineering company, who donated over $250,000 to the organization. Regan Pritzker, a relative of Governor J.B. Pritzker (D-IL), donated $200,000, while Seattle philanthropist Shari Behnke contributed $100,000.
With regard to expenditures, Planned Parenthood Votes set a quarterly lobbying <a href="https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2022/08/planned-parenthood-action-fund-new-lobbying-record-post-roe-v-wade" target="_blank" rel="noopener">record</a> after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, spending $569,000 in a mere three months. The organization has spent nearly $873,000 on federal lobbying efforts this year.
Americans generally believe that abortion should either be legal in most cases or illegal in most cases. Only 8% of the population concur that abortion should be illegal without exceptions, according to <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2022/05/06/americans-views-on-whether-and-in-what-circumstances-abortion-should-be-legal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">data</a> from Pew Research Center.
Planned Parenthood Votes appears to be draining its coffers in the current midterm election season. The group has spent $7 million on federal elections, representing more than three times its fundraising in the same cycle. Three months ago, the group <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/planned-parenthood-dumps-record-sum-into-midterm-elections-for-the-health-and-lives-of-pregnant-people" target="_blank" rel="noopener">committed</a> to spending $50 million on advocacy and political efforts during the midterms as many conservative-leaning states consider tightening regulations on abortion.
“This is an election about power and control,” Planned Parenthood Votes Executive Director Jenny Lawson remarked. “Should these out-of-touch politicians gain or stay in power, they will continue doing everything they can to ban all abortion, throw health care providers and pregnant people in jail, and endanger the health and lives of pregnant people across the country.”
Among other swing states, Planned Parenthood Votes has funneled money toward efforts in Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, all of which have Senate races presently ranked as <a href="https://www.cookpolitical.com/ratings/senate-race-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tossups</a> by Cook Political Report. All three states have incumbent Democrats, while the race in Pennsylvania has shifted in favor of Republicans over the past several weeks.
“Big stakes require big investment, which is why this fall Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations will run our largest-ever electoral campaign to preserve and expand abortion access in as many states as possible,” Lawson added. “From now until Election Day, we’ll make sure voters know who’s on their side and channel their dissent into political power at the ballot box.”
Planned Parenthood conducted 354,871 “abortion procedures” between October 2018 and September 2019, according to the group’s most recent <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/67/30/67305ea1-8da2-4cee-9191-19228c1d6f70/210219-annual-report-2019-2020-web-final.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">annual report</a>, amounting to 972 abortions per day and 41 abortions per hour across the United States.

Kentucky voters will vote next week on whether to amend the state constitution to clarify that nothing in the constitution guarantees abortion access. The measure is being pushed by conservatives to ensure that judges cannot rule that there is an implied constitutional right to abortion that prevents lawmakers from passing pro-life laws.
While Kentucky is a deep-red state, a pro-life amendment <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pro-life-amendment-in-kansas-was-first-abortion-test-since-roe-v-wade-overturned-heres-how-it-fared" target="_blank" rel="noopener">failed in red Kansas</a> this year following an opposition campaign <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/08/18/what-kansas-abortion-rights-win-means-kentucky/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">led</a> by a former Planned Parenthood lobbyist named Rachel Sweet. That means the Kentucky measure could fail too — not only because amending the state&#8217;s constitution is designed to be difficult, but because Sweet is also running a $5 million opposition effort in the state.
A Daily Wire review of the social media accounts of three field staffers who are listed as working for Sweet in Protect Kentucky Access’s (PKA) <a href="https://secure.kentucky.gov/kref/publicsearch/OrganizationalSearch/OrganizationDetails/185205" target="_blank" rel="noopener">campaign finance filings,</a> however, raises questions about whether they represent mainstream Kentuckians.
One of the staffers, Allison Sack, shared a story on Instagram that included a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17922093332536205/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a> from The Satanic Temple. “The Satanic Temple is the leading beacon of light in the battle for abortion access,” the Temple&#8217;s caption said. She shared another meme in the same story lamenting &#8220;when it&#8217;s been 8 whole months and Joe Biden still hasn&#8217;t done a socialism like Fox promised.&#8221;

Skylar Davis, another of the staffers, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/skylardavisart/photos/pb.100063548738478.-2207520000./3285606944818167/?type=3">called</a> upon the &#8220;witches of Kentucky&#8221; to &#8220;Hex the KKK&#8221; in 2020.
&#8220;The KKK thinks it&#8217;s ok to pass out pamphlets around neighborhoods in Louisville. Brave enough to slide some papers around but too scared to show their face. So this is a call to action. Witches of Kentucky, Hex the KKK. They ain&#8217;t safe y&#8217;all,&#8221; she posted.

Some of the images on Davis&#8217; Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/theskylardavis/">page</a>, which describes her as a photographer, are occult-themed, and her Facebook profile <a href="https://www.facebook.com/skylardavisart">photo</a> appears to be a woman holding a skull. The occult-themed images appear to be part of a photo shoot involving two women. The Instagram of one of the women in the photos <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ethellovelesss/">describes</a> her as a &#8220;traveling tangerine showgirl.&#8221;

Photos show attendees marching with signs that say, “Fight for Socialism!” and “keep your Christ out of my coochie,” and carrying a red Communist flag.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation calls for &#8220;a revolution that ends the rule of the capitalist class,&#8221; explaining that this &#8220;will open the way to communism and the end of class society.&#8221; After the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, it called to &#8220;abolish the Supreme Court&#8221; because it &#8220;serves to defend the exploitative and oppressive system of capitalism.&#8221;

Until September, PKA also listed another field staffer, Amira Bryant. According to local news station <a href="https://www.wdrb.com/news/protesters-arrested-blocking-louisville-streets-charged-with-rioting-punching-officer/article_78d69e5c-b190-11ea-aa92-4b158459d734.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WDRB</a>, she was one of 17 people arrested in June 2020 following &#8220;morning protests near Jefferson Square [that] have turned violent several times this week with people blocking roadways, threatening drivers and confronting police.&#8221; One man was charged with inciting a riot, and another with wanton endangerment of a police officer after he allegedly drove &#8220;at a high rate of speed directly at a line of at least 30 officers.&#8221;
On social media, Bryant <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=4094860393897841&amp;set=pb.100001217639211.-2207520000" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shared</a> an idea for defunding police that would redirect the police budget to &#8220;injection sites&#8221; and &#8220;peer &#8216;walking counselors,'&#8221; and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=4051375631579651&amp;set=pb.100001217639211.-2207520000">posted</a> a photo of someone carrying a sign that said &#8220;LMPD, suck my d&#8212;.&#8221; The radio show that she hosts <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=932630967412367&amp;set=pb.100068673093388.-2207520000">advertised</a> a &#8220;&#8216;Cum&#8217; spit Erotic Poetry Slam&#8221; and an <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=906744370001027&amp;set=pb.100068673093388.-2207520000">event</a> where &#8220;Dranks&#8221; were sold including &#8220;Amira&#8217;s booty&#8221; for $10 and &#8220;sweet titty sweat&#8221; for $1.
Protect Kentucky Access did not return a request for comment from The Daily Wire.
Since September 30, PKA has spent $2.3 million on media buys, $412,000 on direct mail, $384,000 on digital advertising, and $17,000 on salaries, according to campaign finance records.
Of its $5.3 million in funding, the group has received $1.2 million from Planned Parenthood affiliates, $1 million from the Advocacy Action Fund, $550,000 from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, $250,000 from Michael Bloomberg, and $64,000 from the ACLU of Kentucky.

The latest data shows <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/66-abortion-clinics-have-stopped-performing-abortions-since-overturn-of-roe-report">Planned Parenthood</a>, the nation’s largest abortion enterprise, performs nearly 200 abortions for every one adoption referral. 
Let that sink in.
Planned Parenthood — the self-proclaimed “champion” of women’s health and an organization that receives nearly $2 million of our tax dollars every single day — is quite simply an abortion machine.
And that machine is in overdrive, extinguishing the lives of more than 1,000 unborn babies on average every day — a heart-wrenching fact that reveals the true mission of Planned Parenthood.
Think that sounds like “pro-life rhetoric”?  Let’s look at Planned Parenthood’s own data.
<h3>Highest-Ever Number Of Abortions </h3>
In 2019-2020, Planned Parenthood performed 383,460 abortions, according to its latest <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/40/8f/408fc2ad-c8c2-48da-ad87-be5cc257d370/211214-ppfa-annualreport-20-21-c3-digital.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">annual report</a>. That’s the highest number ever recorded by the organization.
In the same period, Planned Parenthood provided fewer than 2,000 adoption referrals. That’s nearly <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/here-for-a-reason-planned-parenthood-performs-almost-200-abortions-for-every-one-adoption-referral/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">200 abortions for every one adoption referral</a>. Over the past decade, they have averaged 126 abortions for every one adoption referral.
For a taxpayer-funded organization that claims to be pro-choice and provide myriad women’s health services, does that seem balanced to you?
Ironically, Planned Parenthood’s new annual report is titled “Here for a Reason.”
Their own data clearly shows that reason: Abortion.
Their numbers and <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/1995/07/22/us/planned-parenthood-president-resigns.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">history</a> clearly reveal Planned Parenthood’s leaders have one aim — to capture as large a slice of the U.S. abortion market as they can.
Consider these statistics we <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-planned-parenthoods-2020-2021-annual-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">calculated</a> based on Planned Parenthood’s annual report:

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Prenatal care made up just 2% of its pregnancy resolution activities</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Miscarriage care, less than one percent (0.7%)</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Adoption referrals, just one-half of one percent (0.5%)</li>
</ul>
Abortion, in comparison, makes up a staggering 96.6% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy resolution activities — prenatal care, miscarriage care, adoption, or abortion.
<h3>Only One Choice: Abortion</h3>
Although Planned Parenthood often downplays its abortion business as just a small portion of its overall services, their own data indicates that Planned Parenthood only cares about one “choice” — abortion.
Our ongoing <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-planned-parenthoods-2020-2021-annual-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">analysis</a> of every Planned Parenthood annual report over the past decade shows a significant and long-term decline in non-abortion services. Planned Parenthood prenatal and contraceptive services have dropped by 72% and 41%, respectively, over the past decade. Cancer screenings, breast exams and pap tests, which have been subject to guideline reforms, have decreased by well over 70%.
Amid falling customer numbers — 240,000 fewer customers were seen in 2019-2020 than the year before — Planned Parenthood has increased its lucrative abortion business. During that same period when customer traffic dropped significantly, it performed nearly 30,000 more abortions.
If Planned Parenthood is really focused on women’s holistic health, as it claims, shouldn’t it be providing more services that support women’s health?
Wouldn’t the nearly $2 million of taxpayer funding being poured into Planned Parenthood every single day be better spent on efforts that actually support women and families?
By contrast, community-based pro-life pregnancy centers offer women something that Planned Parenthood doesn’t: real options and real support, almost always at no cost to their clients. This amounted to <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/pro-life-pregnancy-centers-served-2-million-people-with-essential-medical-education-and-support-services-in-2019/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hundreds of millions of dollars</a> in medical care, materials, and education provided in 2019. Together, these pregnancy centers have saved more than 800,000 lives since 2016, according to <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/lives-saved-impact-at-us-pregnancy-help-centers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent research</a> by our colleagues at the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
Abortion advocates and their allies in the media and in Washington, D.C., choose to ignore these numbers because they don’t fit their narrative.
<h3>Killing The Adoption Dream </h3>
Meanwhile, an estimated 2 million families in the U.S. are waiting to adopt a child.
That’s more than enough families to provide a loving home to each and every of the 383,460 unborn babies lost to Planned Parenthood abortion centers last year.  You would think Planned Parenthood might try to keep such shocking statistics quiet, but according to their annual report, they are “proud to provide abortion.”   
America’s women deserve better. They deserve a real choice and the assurance they will be fully supported, whether they decide to parent or choose to make an adoption plan. They deserve a more hopeful, empowering vision for their future.
Planned Parenthood isn’t about choice, and it certainly <a href="https://www.ncregister.com/news/planned-parenthood-s-termination-of-leana-wen-reveals-deep-internal-divisions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">isn’t about healthcare</a>.
Their own numbers do not lie.

96% Of All Services: Planned Parenthood Data Reveal Abortion Is The Only ‘Choice’

Planned Parenthood has gone all in on child <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/gender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gender</a> <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transition</a> services, which means you are paying for them.
The nation’s largest abortion provider offers gender transition services at hundreds of clinics across the country, and because Planned Parenthood and its affiliates get more than half a billion dollars in government funding every year, that’s Americans’ tax dollars at work.
At least 344 Planned Parenthood clinics in 41 states across the country <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/gender-identity/transgender/what-do-i-need-know-about-trans-health-care">currently</a> offer gender transition services, according to its website. Many clinics <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/get-care/our-services/transgender-hormone-therapy">offer</a> cross-sex hormones for minors, and some provide puberty blockers.
While we might not blink at such a leftist organization dabbling in the medical gender transition market, it’s a significant departure from Planned Parenthood&#8217;s core mission. Helping kids move toward sex changes is not clearly related to “family planning.”
However, as Planned Parenthood&#8217;s abortion business <a href="https://cronkitenews.azpbs.org/2022/06/24/planned-parenthood-arizona-stops-abortions-roe-v-wade-overturned/">reels</a> in the wake of the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the organization continues to take advantage of this shiny new market.
Since the abortion provider gets more than $600 million a year in government funding, we are all effectively paying for this new enterprise.
Planned Parenthood received $633.4 million in government funding in the year ending June 30, 2021, according to the organization’s latest annual <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/uploads/filer_public/40/8f/408fc2ad-c8c2-48da-ad87-be5cc257d370/211214-ppfa-annualreport-20-21-c3-digital.pdf">report</a>. The bulk of those funds comes from Medicaid reimbursements, and about $60 million <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/19/health/planned-parenthood-title-x.html">comes</a> from Title X family planning grants. Title X is a federal program, while Medicaid uses federal and state funds.
This week, Planned Parenthood came <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11300415/Planned-Parenthood-fire-cartoon-ad-pushes-puberty-blockers.html">under fire</a> after critics on social media highlighted a cartoon YouTube ad about child gender transitions. The spot was initially posted to Planned Parenthood’s YouTube account in January.
The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpyOnR_O6Tk">ad</a>, which is aimed at children, says some people take hormones or get surgeries to help their bodies match up with their gender identity. If kids are transgender or non-binary, they can take puberty blockers, which are “safe” and work like a “stop sign,” the ad says.
“Your gender identity is real. You should be the one to decide what changes you want to make to your body,” the ad tells kids.
The ad directs children to the <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/teens">teen section</a> of Planned Parenthood’s website, which links to a slew of <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/teens/all-about-sex-gender-and-gender-identity">material</a> about puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in line with leftist gender ideology.
The LGBTQ+ page also directs kids to a <a href="https://www.qchatspace.org/">chat space</a> where teens ages 13 to 19 can chat with each other and even send pictures.
Planned Parenthood even encourages trans-identifying people, potentially including minors, to ask for hormones at their local clinic, even if the clinic doesn’t offer them yet.
“If your closest Planned Parenthood health center doesn’t offer hormone treatments and you want them to, tell them. Let them know that you’re interested in this service and what it would mean for you. This goes for any service you’d like to get at your local Planned Parenthood,” the abortion provider <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/gender-identity/transgender/what-do-i-need-know-about-trans-health-care">says</a> on its website.
Both puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones come with serious health risks, including infertility and weight gain. Puberty blockers can <a href="https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/gender-dysphoria/in-depth/pubertal-blockers/art-20459075">affect</a> bone growth and density, and cross-sex hormones <a href="https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/masculinizing-hormone-therapy/about/pac-20385099">can</a> <a href="https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/feminizing-hormone-therapy/about/pac-20385096">cause</a> blood clots, diabetes, strokes, heart problems, high blood pressure, and male-pattern baldness, as well as increase the risk of breast cancer.
Monica Cline, a former Planned Parenthood sex educator, said Planned Parenthood “intentionally” leaves parents out of the gender identity conversation.
“When Planned Parenthood trained me as a Title X Sex-Ed Educator, I was specifically taught that parents are a barrier to service and they should never be brought into the conversation,” she said.
“Parents need to wake up and talk to their kids about intimacy, about how they feel growing up and the new things their bodies are doing and to be a part of their children&#8217;s lives because if they don&#8217;t, then Planned Parenthood will,” Cline said.
Parents across the country have begun to <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/05/11/meet-the-parents-of-trans-kids-fighting-gender-cult/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">push back</a> against hormone and surgical gender interventions for kids, and some states have already <a href="https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-care/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">moved</a> to restrict hormone treatments.
In the meantime though, Planned Parenthood is cashing in.

Sixty-six abortion clinics in 15 states have stopped performing abortions since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June and returned laws related to abortion to individual states.
The research was released on Thursday by the Guttmacher Institute, an abortion-rights organization.
&#8220;Prior to June 24, these 15 states had a total of 79 clinics that provided abortion care. As of October 2, that number had dropped to 13, and all of them are located in Georgia. This means there are no providers currently offering abortions in 14 of the 15 states,&#8221; the institute <a href="https://www.guttmacher.org/2022/10/100-days-post-roe-least-66-clinics-across-15-us-states-have-stopped-offering-abortion-care" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a> in its press release.
&#8220;Among the 66 clinics where abortion is no longer available, 40 are still offering services other than abortion, while 26 have shut down entirely,&#8221; it added.
The list of 15 states includes Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
While the Guttmacher Institute claimed that the change is having &#8220;a devastating impact,&#8221; pro-life supporters across the nation are celebrating the decline in clinics offering abortion services.
The institute stated that 14 states where abortion is currently unavailable accounted for 125,780 abortions two years ago. Georgia, which now has a six-week abortion ban, has also effectively banned most abortions across the state.
In addition to state laws limiting abortion, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sen-lindsey-graham-introduces-national-15-week-abortion-ban-bill" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> a bill in September that would ban most abortions nationwide after 15 weeks.
The <a href="https://www.lgraham.senate.gov/public/_cache/files/3065785d-86b8-4d36-986a-72aa1c8f100c/protecting-pain-capable-unborn-children-from-late-term-abortions-act-.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bill</a>, dubbed the “Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions Act,” seeks a nationwide ban that would stop many abortions even in pro-abortion states like California and New York.
“I see this as a responsible alternative to the very radical position by Democratic senators,” Graham <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmiXZ14L_dU&amp;ab_channel=USSenLindseyGraham" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “I can assure that a vast majority of Americans do not support abortion on demand up to delivery.”
In contrast, efforts by some Democratic governors have sought to offer stronger protections for abortion services. Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed a package of pro-abortion laws and launched a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/newsom-pitches-abortion-friendly-california-in-red-state-billboard-blitz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">billboard campaign</a> in red states to invite women to travel to his state for abortion services.
“An alarming number of states continue to outlaw abortion and criminalize women, and it’s more important than ever to fight like hell for those who need these essential services. We’re doing everything we can to protect people from any retaliation for accessing abortion care while also making it more affordable to get contraceptives,” Newsom <a href="https://www.gov.ca.gov/2022/09/27/new-protections-for-people-who-need-abortion-care-and-birth-control/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
“Our Legislature has been on the frontlines of this fight, and no other legislative body in the country is doing more to protect these fundamental rights – I’m proud to stand with them again and sign these critical bills into law,&#8221; he added.
The Biden administration has also sought to offer stronger abortion protections despite the Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling. Recent actions have included the launch of the government&#8217;s <a href="https://reproductiverights.gov/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reproductiverights.gov</a> website.

Abortion giant <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/topic/planned-parenthood/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood</a> is now using a cartoon to market puberty blocking drugs to children.
The cartoon was shared on Twitter on Monday by an account named &#8220;Inside the Classroom&#8221; (@EITCofficial) — which was originally started to provide &#8220;real evidence against the claims of the left’s narrative that CRT isn’t being taught and children are not being indoctrinated.&#8221;

The text of the ad explains that puberty is different for everyone — and then held up puberty-blocking drugs as a &#8220;solution&#8221; for teens who felt that their puberty experience did not match up with their gender identity.
&#8220;There is no one size fits all puberty experience,&#8221; the caption read on the video. &#8220;If you&#8217;re trans, intersex, or non-binary, know that you&#8217;re not the only one feeling confused.&#8221;
&#8220;For some intersex people, puberty may start later than age 14,&#8221; the ad&#8217;s audio continued. &#8220;You might experience some of puberty&#8217;s changes and not others. And your body may or may not go through puberty on its own.&#8221;
&#8220;There are medicines you can take to help your body start the process. Like hormone replacement therapy,&#8221; the cartoon added. &#8220;Some people decide on hormones or surgeries to help their bodies match up to their gender identities or how they feel inside about themselves,&#8221; it said. &#8220;Your gender identity is real. You should be the one to decide what changes you want to make to your body.&#8221;
&#8220;If you&#8217;re transgender or nonbinary, you may find that your puberty experiences don&#8217;t line up with your gender identity. That feeling can be uncomfortable, scary, and stressful. If that sounds like you, know that you&#8217;re not alone.&#8221;
The cartoon then pivoted to promote puberty blockers, saying that they were a viable alternative to going through the process naturally.
&#8220;There are medicines you can take to delay puberty for awhile,&#8221; it said. &#8220;And they work like a stop sign, by holding the hormones testosterone and estrogen that cause puberty changes like facial hair growth and periods. Puberty blockers are safe and can give you more time to figure out what feels right for you, your body, and your gender identity.&#8221;
And while a <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/11/well/family/what-are-puberty-blockers.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2021 report</a> from The New York Times — titled &#8220;What Are Puberty Blockers?&#8221; — concurred with the Planned Parenthood ad that puberty blockers provide teens and their families with &#8220;more time&#8221; to decide whether they plan to seek further medical intervention, it also noted that there were still questions as to whether the drugs would have any impact on fertility later in life.
The ad — which comes amid numerous reports of schools attempting to help students hide their <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/top-democrat-official-parents-will-kill-kids-if-schools-dont-hide-kids-gender-identity-from-parents/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gender identities</a> from their parents — concluded by suggesting that teens who still have questions should consider talking to a &#8220;trusted adult, doctor, or nurse.&#8221;

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/planned-parenthood">Planned Parenthood</a> officials announced Monday the clinic would soon hit the road in a 37-foot RV, bringing abortion services near bordering states that have since banned the procedure.
Yamelsie Rodriguez, president of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, told NPR the goal of the mobile abortion clinic would reduce travel times and distances to meet patients at the state border lines.
Planned Parenthood, the nation&#8217;s largest abortion provider, will first drive the clinic to the Illinois border, which has become a so-called haven for abortions from other parts of the Midwest and the South, such as Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
&#8220;We are all trying to work together to meet the exponential increase in the number of patients that are traveling from banned states to what we&#8217;re calling &#8216;haven states&#8217; for abortion care,&#8221; Yamelsie Rodriguez, President of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, told <a href="https://www.npr.org/2022/10/03/1125797779/planned-parenthood-mobile-clinic-will-take-abortion-to-red-state-borders">NPR</a>. &#8220;It&#8217;s an all-hands-on-deck moment.&#8221;
Before the nation&#8217;s highest court kicked off the summer season by reversing the landmark decision that has resulted in 63 million abortions since 1973, Rodriguez told <a href="https://apnews.com/article/abortion-health-tennessee-illinois-st-louis-47cf832636cee8290914ca1ea93cdc35">The Associated Press</a> that wait times for those seeking to terminate their pregnancy have gone from an average of four days to two-and-a-half weeks.
According to The Associated Press, Planned Parenthood in Fairview Heights, on the Illinois side of the St. Louis region, said the clinic had seen a higher than expected rate of abortion patients that increased by 30% since June. More than 340% increased among patients in Missouri and Illinois.
Pro-life advocates grieved over Monday&#8217;s announcement, with the National Right to Life Committee calling the abortion-on-wheels clinic &#8220;another grotesque demeaning of human life.&#8221;
&#8220;Chemical abortions can lead to life-threatening complications,&#8221; Laura Echevarria, spokeswoman for the committee, told The Associated Press in a statement. &#8220;Will women recognize those complications early enough to seek treatment?&#8221;
Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman (R-MO), an ardent anti-abortion advocate, told <a href="https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article266744211.html">The Kansas City Star</a> that Planned Parenthood&#8217;s move &#8220;is a desperate move from those that profit from women in crisis.&#8221;
&#8220;I want every woman in Missouri who is considering abortion to know that Missouri stands ready to help her and her baby,&#8221; Coleman said.
Missouri joined 12 other Republican-controlled states to immediately ban abortions following the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision.
The Kansas City Star reported Sam Lee, a Jefferson City-based anti-abortion lobbyist, criticized Planned Parenthood in a statement, claiming that medically induced abortions put women at risk of adverse reactions.
&#8220;It is reckless for Planned Parenthood to hand out abortion pills like candy just across the border, since many patients — including minor girls — will end up in hospital emergency rooms in Missouri,&#8221; Lee said.
Officials told The Associated Press the RV clinics — which will include two exam rooms, a lab, and a waiting room to provide medication abortions up to 11 weeks of gestation — would arrive in the St. Louis region by October and should be operational by the end of this year.
Following the same protocol at permanent facilities, NPR reports officials said patients first take mifepristone to induce pregnancy termination. Patients then take misoprostol to prevent and treat stomach and duodenal ulcers and postpartum bleeding due to poor contraction of the uterus.
The abortion provider said it would start providing surgical abortions inside the RV after a few months.

The controversial Netflix film <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-marilyn-monroe-biopic-blonde-accidentally-shows-abortion-for-the-horror-it-really-is" target="_blank" rel="noopener">humanizes the unborn</a> on numerous occasions and includes the depiction of a violent, forced abortion that haunts the actress.
“As film and TV shapes many people’s understanding of sexual and reproductive health, it’s critical these depictions accurately portray women’s real decisions and experiences,” Caren Spruch, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s national director of arts and entertainment engagement, <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/planned-parenthood-blonde-abortion-1235231175/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The Hollywood Reporter.
“While abortion is safe, essential health care, anti-abortion zealots have long contributed to abortion stigma by using medically inaccurate descriptions of fetuses and pregnancy,&#8221; the statement continued. &#8220;Andrew Dominik’s new film, &#8216;Blonde,&#8217; bolsters their message with a CGI-talking fetus, depicted to look like a fully formed baby.”
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/abcs-scandal-goes-full-propaganda-planned-amanda-prestigiacomo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Some media depictions</a> of abortion are shown as empowering and a simple decision for women with no repercussions &#8212; if not an outright sacrament. It&#8217;s extremely rare for the unborn to be humanized at all, but this is the case in &#8220;Blonde&#8221; &#8212; a reality clearly upsetting Planned Parenthood.
“Planned Parenthood respects artistic license and freedom,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;However, false images only serve to reinforce misinformation and perpetuate stigma around sexual and reproductive health care. Every pregnancy outcome — especially abortion — should be portrayed sensitively, authentically and accurately in the media.&#8221;
&#8220;We still have much work to do to ensure that everyone who has an abortion can see themselves onscreen,&#8221; Spruch added. &#8220;It is a shame that the creators of &#8216;Blonde&#8217; chose to contribute to anti-abortion propaganda and stigmatize people’s health care decisions instead.”
Dominik, the director, has defended &#8220;Blonde&#8221; from such pro-abortion critics, though, suggesting the film&#8217;s timing is sparking the unnecessary backlash, referring to the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
“I think the movie is pretty nuanced actually, and I think it’s very complex, but that doesn’t fit —  people are obviously concerned with losses of freedoms, obviously they are,” the filmmaker <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/blonde-anti-abortion-director-response-andrew-dominik/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The Wrap. “But, I mean, no one would have given a s*** about that if I’d made the movie in 2008, and probably no one’s going to care about it in four years’ time. And the movie won’t have changed. It’s just what sort of going on.”
Dominik added that critics are looking at &#8220;Blonde&#8221; &#8220;through this Roe v. Wade lens.&#8221;
&#8220;They’ve got a certain agenda where they feel like the freedoms of women are being compromised, and they look at ‘Blonde’ and they see a demon, but it’s not really about that,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I think it’s very difficult for people to step outside of the stories they carry inside themselves and see things of their own volition.&#8221;
