An elderly pro-life sidewalk counselor who was brutally beaten outside of a Baltimore Planned Parenthood said he would be willing to go back to court after a jury declined to convict his attacker of first-degree assault.
Mark Crosby told The Daily Wire this week that he would be willing to have his case go to trial again after a jury convicted 28-year-old Patrick Brice of multiple lower assault charges while not reaching a verdict on the more serious first-degree assault charge. Brice was caught on video beating then 73-year-old Crosby and 80-year-old Richard Schaefer back in 2023 outside of a Planned Parenthood building.
Last week, a jury in Baltimore convicted Brice on two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of reckless endangerment while not coming to an agreement on the first-degree assault charge after a two day trial. A first degree assault conviction could have carried 25 years in prison.
Crosby told The Daily Wire that he was surprised that Brice was not convicted on the first-degree assault charge, saying that the surveillance video posted during the trial seemed to have an impact on the jurors.
“Some of the jurors were actually moaning and one was crying, and they were looking away, gasping at his attack on us,” he said.
The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDMYSWHJuNM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">footage</a> shows Brice tackling Schaefer into a large potted plant after a heated exchange. Crosby then ran over to help Schaefer before he was forced to the ground. The man in the video punches Crosby in the face and kicks him in the head.
&#8220;I call it attempted murder. If you watch the video, he actually is straddling me and he hits me double fisted,” Crosby said.
Crosby was treated after the attack for a fractured bone in his face, blindness in one eye, head and neck pain, two fractured fingers, and bruising on his arms and legs.
“Whether we want to retry it, we’ll see,” he said, saying it would be up to the legal team at the Thomas More Society. “I’m willing to retry it even though it’s a major stress for me.”
He added that the &#8220;result is probably better than nothing,” but would wait to see when Brice is sentenced on March 20. A maximum sentence for second-degree assault could be up to 10 years in prison and a $2,500 fine.
Crosby believed that one of the reasons for the attack was because he and Schaefer had been effective in convincing women to turn to a nearby crisis pregnancy center. He <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trial-begins-for-man-accused-of-brutally-beating-elderly-pro-lifers-outside-planned-parenthood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously told</a> The Daily Wire that both men have frequently returned to the Planned Parenthood. He said Schaefer still stood outside five days a week and that he would be “back in action” after the trial ended.

The trial for a man accused of brutally beating two Catholic pro-life sidewalk counselors outside of a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/baltimore" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Baltimore</a> Planned Parenthood is set to begin Wednesday.
Jury selection begins at 9:00 a.m. local time at Baltimore City Court for the trial of 27-year-old Patrick Brice, who is charged over the beating of then 80-year-old Dick Schaefer and 73-year-old Mark Crosby on May 26, 2023. The two men were outside a Planned Parenthood in Baltimore when they were left bloodied after they were violently attacked. 
Brice has been <a href="https://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/casesearch/inquiryDetail.jis?caseId=C24CR24001185&amp;loc=69&amp;detailLoc=ODYCRIM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">charged</a> with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and two counts of reckless endangerment. 
No arrests were made <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/police-arrest-man-over-brutal-beating-of-pro-lifers-outside-baltimore-planned-parenthood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">until over a year</a> after the attack on July 1, 2024, when law enforcement identified Brice as the man behind the attack. The entire incident was caught on camera, and surveillance footage shows a man tackling Schaefer into a large potted plant. Crosby then ran over to help Schaefer before he was forced to the ground. The man in the video punches Crosby in the face and kicks him in the head. 
Recounting the incident on Tuesday, Crosby told The Daily Wire that incident started after the attacker started an argument with Schaefer about abortion while outside of Planned Parenthood. He said he then saw the attacker “get in a football rushing position” before running Schaefer into a concrete planter and against the wall.
When Crosby ran over to help, he said that Brice “hit me a couple times” before forcing him to the ground. He then said that Brice “reared back” and “kicked me as hard as he could.”
The attack left Crosby seriously injured and hospitalized. After the incident, he was treated for a fractured bone in his face, blindness in one eye, head and neck pain, two fractured fingers, and bruising on his arms and legs.

Despite the attack and future hostile encounters with Planned Parenthood employees, Crosby said both men have frequently returned to the Planned Parenthood. He said Schaefer still stood outside five days a week and that he would “back in action” after the trial ended. 
Crosby said he wished that local Catholic leadership had been more outspoken in supporting them, noting that the Planned Parenthood where the attack took place is only a five minute walk away from the Baltimore Basilica, the first Catholic church built in the United States after it declared independence.
Crosby told The Daily Wire that he was being represented by the Thomas More Society, while Schaefer had the counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice.

On Tuesday, pro-life journalist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/california-finally-drops-prosecution-of-journo-who-exposed-planned-parenthood-with-damning-videos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">David Daleiden</a> gave his first interview since California stopped prosecuting him to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-michael-knowles-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Wire host Michael Knowles</a>.
Daleiden, the president of the Center for Medical Progress, was initially prosecuted nine years ago along with fellow journalist Sandra Merritt over undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of aborted baby parts and organs, which is illegal. The prosecution was sparked by then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who was <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/08/02/us-news/kamala-harris-accused-of-weaponizing-calif-ags-office-against-activist/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused</a> of weaponizing her office to bolster a “mega-sponsor” in Planned Parenthood.
Knowles, who&#8217;s been friends with Daleiden for years, recapped the case for his audience by underscoring how explosive the journalists&#8217; undercover videos were, and how corrupt the prosecution was from start to finish.
&#8220;He&#8217;s been prosecuted, because he had the temerity to film Planned Parenthood executives admitting their crimes on camera,&#8221; Knowles said on &#8220;The Michael Knowles Show.&#8221; These officials admitted &#8220;on camera that they violated the law by selling baby body parts to the highest bidder.&#8221;
&#8220;So what happened? Did the authorities prosecute the abortionists who were selling human body parts of little babies?&#8221; Knowles continued. &#8220;No, of course not. They prosecuted David, because he spilled the beans on this major crime.&#8221;
Daleiden told Knowles that it was Harris who chose to &#8220;go after the whistleblowers&#8221; instead of investigating the &#8220;taxpayer-funded abortion mega clinics across her state that were caught on camera selling aborted baby body parts from criminal late-term abortions.&#8221;
The journalist called the prosecution &#8220;unprecedented,&#8221; and noted that no other journalists have ever been prosecuted under the California video recording law.
Daleiden also pushed back against what Attorney General Rob Bonta&#8217;s office has said about the case. In a press release Tuesday, the office celebrated the plea deal as a win for &#8220;reproductive health clinics and providers.&#8221;
In court, however, Daleiden said the government agreed to have the entire case &#8220;dismissed and expunged&#8221; with &#8220;no admission of wrongdoing&#8221; from the journalists. &#8220;The AG&#8217;s office basically stated on the record in court yesterday that they&#8217;re dropping the case, they&#8217;re just doing it in slow motion — so it&#8217;s sort of a fig leaf for them,&#8221; he explained.
Knowles asked Daleiden if he thought President Donald Trump&#8217;s 2024 victory and actions in office over the last week played into the state dropping the case.
&#8220;I think it probably changes everything,&#8221; Daleiden said. The promotion of Harris to the highest office in the land, had she won, would have incentivized more of the same behavior, he added.
Daleiden also stated that there&#8217;s more work to be done, namely making sure the federal government stops funding Planned Parenthood. &#8220;That&#8217;s the next thing that we should see happen,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We need to stop propping up the nearly <a href="https://www.blackburn.senate.gov/2023/12/news/new-report-reveals-nearly-2-billion-funneled-to-big-abortion-providers#:~:text=WASHINGTON%2C%20D.C.%20–%20A%20new%20U.S.,abortion%2Don%2Ddemand%20agenda.">$2 billion</a> taxpayer funded illegal Planned Parenthood late-term abortion businesses.&#8221;

California on Monday agreed to finally end the prosecution of Center for Medical Progress journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt, who released videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of aborted baby parts and organs, which is illegal.
The controversial prosecution of Daleiden and Merritt was sparked by then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who was <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/08/02/us-news/kamala-harris-accused-of-weaponizing-calif-ags-office-against-activist/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused</a> of weaponizing her office to bolster a &#8220;mega-sponsor&#8221; in Planned Parenthood. The journalists were formally charged under Harris&#8217; successor with 15 felony counts for videotaping “confidential” communications.
&#8220;The agreement—a negotiated settlement with zero punishment—is in exchange for a new &#8216;no contest&#8217; plea by Daleiden and Merritt on a single video recording charge. It involves no jail time, no fines, no admission of wrongdoing, and no probation,&#8221; a <a href="https://www.centerformedicalprogress.org/2025/01/breaking-state-of-california-agrees-to-end-unprecedented-prosecution-of-cmps-undercover-video-reporting/">press release</a> from CMP says. &#8220;The new &#8216;no contest&#8217; plea—which cannot be used adversely—will be entered into judgment as a misdemeanor in 6 to 12 months, and then converted to a &#8216;not guilty&#8217; plea, dismissed, and expunged.&#8221;
A <a href="https://oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases/attorney-general-bonta-secures-felony-conviction-david-daleiden-and-sandra">press release</a> from California Attorney General Rob Bonta seemed to celebrate the plea deal.  The AG&#8217;s office said that Daleiden and Merritt were convicted &#8220;for criminally recording confidential communications with women’s healthcare providers.&#8221;
&#8220;Previously, in 2017, the California Department of Justice <a title="https://oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases/attorney-general-xavier-becerra-announces-charges-filed-against-david-robert" href="https://oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases/attorney-general-xavier-becerra-announces-charges-filed-against-david-robert">announced</a> the filing of an arrest warrant against Daleiden and Merritt,&#8221; the press release said. &#8220;[T]hey each pleaded no contest to, and were found guilty of, one felony count of California Penal Code Section 632(a) (unlawful recording of confidential communication).&#8221;
“While the Trump Administration is issuing pardons to individuals convicted of harming reproductive health clinics and providers, my office is securing criminal convictions to ensure that Californians can exercise their constitutional rights to reproductive healthcare,” Bonta said. “We will not hesitate to continue taking action against those who threaten access to abortion care — whether by recording confidential conversations or other means.”
Daleiden, who&#8217;s the president of CMP, called the end of the prosecution a &#8220;huge victory.&#8221;
“After enduring nine years of weaponized political prosecution, putting an end to the lawfare launched by Kamala Harris is a huge victory for my investigative reporting and for the public’s right to know the truth about Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby body parts,&#8221; Daleiden said.
&#8220;Now we all must get to work to protect families and infants from the criminal abortion-industrial complex,” he added. “Taking the San Francisco case off the board allows me to focus fully on CMP’s mission to report on the injustices of taxpayer-funded experiments on aborted babies and continue to expand our groundbreaking investigative reporting.”
CMP noted that the undercover videos involved in the case sparked a massive <a href="https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-fetal-tissue-20171209-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$7.8 million settlement</a> from two bioscience companies that admitted to illegally selling aborted fetuses from Planned Parenthood in Southern California. Their footage was also the subject of a &#8220;settlement with <a href="https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2017/01/24/arizona-ends-investigation-into-abortion-doctor-fetal-tissue-collections/96998988/">disgorgement</a> of profits from the sale of aborted fetal organs in Arizona, and the <a href="https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/ag-paxton-fifth-circuit-upholds-decision-defund-planned-parenthood">disqualification</a> of Planned Parenthood from state and federal funding in Texas for violations of medical standards and ethics documented on the undercover footage—where Planned Parenthood <a href="https://www.reuters.com/legal/planned-parenthood-must-face-trial-over-texas-medicaid-fraud-claims-2023-10-24/">now</a> faces a nearly $2 billion federal False Claims Act case from the disqualification.&#8221;

Cecile Richards, the former president of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, has died at age 67.
Richards announced in 2024 that she was battling glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
“This morning our beloved Cecile passed away at home, surrounded by her family and her ever-loyal dog, Ollie,&#8221; Richards&#8217; family said in a statement released on Monday, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/obituaries/cecile-richards-planned-parenthood-president-dies-rcna188392" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to NBC News. &#8220;Our hearts are broken today but no words can do justice to the joy she brought to our lives.&#8221;
“We are grateful to the doctors and health care workers who provided her excellent care and the friends, family, and well-wishers who have been by her side during this challenging time,” the family added.
Richards, who led Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018, oversaw the killing of nearly four million unborn babies, <a href="https://www.lifenews.com/2025/01/20/former-planned-parenthood-president-cecile-richards-dies-of-brain-cancer/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the non-profit Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.
In November, pro-life leader Lila Rose said she was praying for Richards&#8217; conversion.

Sharing her diagnosis online, Richards wrote, “In my experience, having cancer doesn’t suddenly fill you with profound insights on life. What it does is make it really clear what’s important. And there is no more important work right now than fighting for abortion rights. … After all, as my mother used to say, ‘Why should your life be just about you?’”
Richards was awarded the Medal of Freedom by outgoing President Joe Biden in November.

Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/chip-roy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chip Roy</a> (R-TX) demanded answers from the University of Texas on Wednesday over a $50,000 grant it provided to Planned Parenthood to research a sex education program, a letter first shared with The Daily Wire shows. 
Roy’s <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2025/01/1.8.25-Rep-Roy-Letter-UT-Dean-Dr.-Allan-Cole-3.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> was related to a <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_TP2AH000095_7521/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sub-award</a> of $49,458 given to Planned Parenthood of Illinois by the University of Texas Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work. The university provided the grant out of a $2 million award from the Department of Health and Human Services it was granted for the purpose of evaluating THRIVE, a sexual education and health organization. 
“Planned Parenthood of Illinois is a radical entity and the University of Texas’ association with it violates the conscience of millions of Texans,” Roy wrote to Dean of the Steve Hicks School of Social Work, Allan Cole.
The University of Texas has so far received $526,145 of the promised money from the federal government and has partnered with teams in Illinois, Kansas, and Colorado to evaluate THRIVE.
THRIVE <a href="https://tfyhi.socialwork.utexas.edu/thrive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> that it provides “inclusive, trauma-informed sex education to youth” and that its curriculum is “designed to meet the specific needs and concerns of teens and young adults in foster care.”
Roy said that the university’s partnership with Planned Parenthood of Illinois was unacceptable, pointing to the organization&#8217;s <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-illinois/patient-resources/gender-affirming-hormone-therapy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">boasts</a> of providing “gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) to transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive folks&#8221; as young as 16 years old.

“Considering that the University of Texas is second in the nation in federal research expenditures among public higher education systems, it is essential that we understand why federal grant recipients are entering into partnerships with abortion and so-called &#8216;gender-affirming care&#8217;— providing organizations and under what circumstances,&#8221; Roy wrote. 
Roy asked that Cole provide documentation on the award and the “rationale” for why Planned Parenthood was chosen. He also asked if the University of Texas had entered into any other funding agreements with any abortion providers. 
The Republican lawmaker also asked whether the sub-award was in accordance with Texas law, which stipulates that public money cannot go toward transgender procedures on children.

A Chicago museum exhibit dedicated to Planned Parenthood featured rosaries, because Christianity is in the business of &#8220;controlling the bodies&#8221; of women, the exhibit&#8217;s plaque said.

&#8220;The rosary beads serve as a reminder of the enduring influence of christianity [sic] in the United States, symbolizing the ways religious institutions have played in shaping societal norms and controlling the bodies of birthing people,&#8221; <a href="https://imss.org/contemporaryart/michelle-hartney-unplanned-parenthood/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">read</a> the plaque for the exhibit.
&#8220;Birthing people&#8221; is a gender neutral term often used in place of &#8220;women&#8221; by those who espouse gender ideology.
The letters were embroidered onto vintage wedding dress fabric by volunteers in sewing circles around the country, the plaque said. The wedding dress material symbolizes the &#8220;societal expectations placed on women in the early 1900s.&#8221;
The fabric letters were then hung from porcelain backings, &#8220;evoking the fragility of the rights of people with uteruses,&#8221; while the backings have imagery from wedding cakes, lingerie, and jewelry, &#8220;serving as a commentary on the societal pressure placed on women to embrace marriage, often masking the limitations it imposed, particularly during the times when birth control and autonomy were denied.&#8221;
Meat hooks symbolized &#8220;the patriarchy.&#8221;
&#8220;Vintage meat hooks were used as symbols of the brutality of the patriarchy and the way men have treated the bodies of people with uteruses like animals,&#8221; the plaque said.
Chicago is one of the most Catholic cities in the country, with about a <a href="https://www.voanews.com/a/most-catholic-cities-in-us/2966577.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">third</a> of its residents identifying as Catholic.
One Catholic Chicago resident told The Daily Wire it was &#8220;heart-wrenchingly offensive&#8221; to think of his tax dollars going towards the display.
The museum has <a href="https://imss.org/2023/09/the-international-museum-of-surgical-science-to-offer-artist-stipends-in-2024-season-for-chicago-illinois-based-artists/?srsltid=AfmBOoqEraaOLaphC478hd7hBDoEB3NiBEP_DB-FsX8Uukmbc3T3KYW7&amp;utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">received</a> government grants, including pandemic relief money.
&#8220;Worse, the use of the Catholic rosary and Crucifixes in the exhibit is a mockery of the Lord&#8217;s Mother and all of the prayers from all those who hold life sacred from conception,&#8221; he said, &#8220;something [about] 1.3 billion Catholics universally hold to, and an issue the Church is unwavering on.&#8221;
&#8220;It’s despicable what the City is supporting. Wasting our tax dollars to mock Catholics, and the desecrate to rosary,&#8221; the Catholic Chicagoan said, adding that he encourages the city&#8217;s two million Catholics to &#8220;vote accordingly.&#8221;
The museum said in a statement to The Daily Wire that the &#8220;views, statements, and ideas expressed in this exhibition are solely those of the artist&#8221; and the museum &#8220;does not endorse or promote any political or social beliefs presented in this exhibit.&#8221;

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/supreme-court" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Supreme Court</a> on Wednesday agreed to hear South Carolina’s case against Planned Parenthood, which seeks to cut the abortion giant&#8217;s Medicaid funding.
South Carolina first tried to cut funding for Planned Parenthood in 2018.
Governor Henry McMaster, a Republican, <a href="https://governor.sc.gov/sites/governor/files/Documents/Executive-Orders/Executive-Order-2018-21.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an executive order directing the state&#8217;s Medicaid agency to take abortion providers off its “family planning” services list.
State law prohibits Medicaid funds from being used for abortions except in cases where the mother&#8217;s life is in danger or in cases of rape or incest. The Medicaid funds Planned Parenthood gets go toward the abortion provider&#8217;s other services, such as STD testing.
However, McMaster <a href="https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-planned-parenthood-abortion-63c051a7f3c75b1af53805239a044014" target="_blank" rel="noopener">argued</a> that any public money given to Planned Parenthood effectively “results in the subsidy of abortion.”
&#8220;The State of Carolina has a strong culture and longstanding tradition of protecting and defending the life and liberty of unborn children,&#8221; the governor wrote in his order.
In response, Planned Parenthood and one of its patients, Julie Edwards, sued South Carolina to keep her Medicaid coverage.

The Supreme Court will take up the state&#8217;s appeal of a lower court&#8217;s ruling that found federal law lets Medicaid patients choose their providers.
South Carolina currently bans abortion around six weeks or when cardiac activity is detected, with exceptions for the life and physical health of the mother, rape and incest up to 12 weeks, and fetal diagnoses dubbed “incompatible” with life.
At the time of McMaster&#8217;s executive order, abortion was still legal in South Carolina up to 22 weeks.
“Taxpayer dollars shouldn’t be used to fund facilities that choose to profit off abortion, and South Carolina is free to use its limited funding to subsidize life-affirming health care,” John Bursch, an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, which is representing the state’s Medicaid agency, <a href="https://scdailygazette.com/2024/12/18/us-high-court-to-decide-if-sc-can-take-planned-parenthood-off-medicaid-list-for-non-abortion-care/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Wednesday after the Supreme Court decided to take up the case.
&#8220;Taxpayer dollars should never fund abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. In 2018, I issued an executive order to end this practice in South Carolina. I&#8217;m confident the U.S. Supreme Court will agree with me that states shouldn&#8217;t be forced to subsidize abortions,&#8221; McMaster <a href="https://x.com/henrymcmaster/status/1869442904563085475" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> on X in response to the court&#8217;s decision to hear the case.
The case will be argued in the spring.
South Carolina&#8217;s case is one of several cases on abortion that the Supreme Court has taken up since Roe vs. Wade, the case that legalized abortion nationwide, was overturned in 2022.
In June, the court <a href="https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-abortion-mifepristone-fda-4073b9a7b1cbb1c3641025290c22be2a#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ruled</a> to continue to allow access to the abortion pill, which is used for the majority of abortions.

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy said Thursday that they plan to stop federal overspending by taking aim at sums being used in ways Congress never intended — including money going to the nation&#8217;s largest abortion provider.
&#8220;Skeptics question how much federal spending DOGE can tame through executive action alone,&#8221; Ramaswamy and Musk <a href="https://www.wsj.com/opinion/musk-and-ramaswamy-the-doge-plan-to-reform-government-supreme-court-guidance-end-executive-power-grab-fa51c020">wrote in a joint Wall Street Journal op-ed</a>. &#8220;They point to the 1974 Impoundment Control Act, which stops the president from ceasing expenditures authorized by Congress. Mr. Trump has previously suggested this statute is unconstitutional, and we believe the current Supreme Court would likely side with him on this question.&#8221;
&#8220;But even without relying on that view,&#8221; they added, &#8220;DOGE will help end federal overspending by taking aim at the $500 billion plus in annual federal expenditures that are unauthorized by Congress or being used in ways that Congress never intended, from $535 million a year to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and $1.5 billion for grants to international organizations to nearly $300 million to progressive groups like Planned Parenthood.&#8221;
Their joint op-ed focused on &#8220;The DOGE Plan to Reform Government,&#8221; which promises that following the guidance of the Supreme Court, Musk and Ramaswamy want to &#8220;reverse a decades long executive power grab.&#8221; Trump recently announced that the two businessmen will lead a new &#8220;Department of Government Efficiency&#8221; in his next administration.
“Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” Trump said when he announced their appointment.

Planned Parenthood boasts of being the nation&#8217;s largest abortion provider, performing 392,715 abortions between 2021 and 2022, <a href="https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-planned-parenthoods-2022-23-annual-report/#:~:text=Planned%20Parenthood%20performed%20392%2C715%20abortions,80%2C000%20from%20the%20previous%20year.">according to its 2022-2023 annual report</a>. It is less well known for its &#8220;gender-affirming&#8221; services — 45 Planned Parenthood affiliates across the United States offered &#8220;hormone therapy&#8221; in 2022. The Daily Wire has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/catholic-chicago-hospital-chose-ideology-over-biology-in-treating-biological-girl-who-believed-she-was-male-de-transitioner-says">previously reported</a> on how Planned Parenthood helped an 18-year-old girl obtain testosterone to begin an attempted gender transition after a brief visit to a Chicago-area Planned Parenthood facility.
“It’s possible they’re the largest provider of trans health in the country,” Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-attack-on-planned-parenthood-hurts-transgender-people-too/">told The Daily Beast in 2017</a>. “We don’t know for sure. But it’s certainly among the biggest, if not the biggest.”
Planned Parenthood <a href="https://www.heritage.org/life/commentary/planned-parenthood-taxpayer-funding-abortion-and-transgender-services-high">reported</a> $2.3 billion in net assets in their last annual report, as well as $670.4 million in government funding — up from $633.4 million the previous year, according to a Heritage Foundation report — and $1.9 billion in total revenue.
&#8220;Abortion clinics in pro-life states have stopped doing abortions or moved to abortion-friendly states,&#8221; the Heritage Foundation&#8217;s Melanie Israel <a href="https://www.heritage.org/life/commentary/planned-parenthood-taxpayer-funding-abortion-and-transgender-services-high">noted</a> in a June 2023 piece on the Planned Parenthood numbers. &#8220;Planned Parenthood’s national office has <a href="https://apnews.com/article/abortion-planned-parenthood-states-layoffs-equity-8ca79602fd28226538e5f6148a202646" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow" data-external="yes">announced layoffs</a>—to the tune of about 100 employees—coming this month. Planned Parenthood has also revealed <a href="https://apnews.com/article/abortion-planned-parenthood-states-layoffs-equity-8ca79602fd28226538e5f6148a202646" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow" data-external="yes">its game plan</a> going forward. It will increase funding for things like sexually transmitted disease testing, contraception, and so-called gender-affirming care.&#8221;
On Wednesday, President Joe Biden honored former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, praising her for her &#8220;absolute courage&#8221; and stating that she &#8220;fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are.&#8221;
&#8220;Through her work to lift up the dignity of workers, defend and advance women’s reproductive rights and equality, and mobilize Americans to exercise their power to vote, she has carved an inspiring legacy,&#8221; Biden said in an X post.
According to the Washington Stand, Richards <a href="https://washingtonstand.com/commentary/former-planned-parenthood-president-cecile-richards-needs-our-prayers-">increased the number of babies</a> Planned Parenthood was aborting each year by almost 70,000. The publication credits Planned Parenthood, under her leadership, with the deaths of over four million unborn babies.

Liberal women are vowing to go on a sex strike in protest of President Donald Trump’s 2024 election-night win.
The trend is inspired by the feminists in South Korea who started a movement called “4B” which rejects traditional gender roles and “the patriarchy”. The “4” represents no sex, no dating, no childbirth and no marriage while the “B” represents a negative as “bi” is a prefix for negative words in South Korea.
American liberal women are announcing on social media that they’re joining the movement with the intention to punish men for “voting against women’s rights.” Translated: liberal women are throwing a temper tantrum because the majority of Americans agree with commonsense restrictions on abortion opposed to allowing abortion through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason under the sun.
Ironically, liberal women who have largely rejected abstinence as an option to prevent pregnancy are now admitting it works.

The inauguration is over two months away and somehow there seems to be a “President Trump effect” that is making America more wholesome already. It seems far-fetched that a radical feminist would be encouraging women to guard their wombs and wait for a man who values and respects them, but that’s exactly what we’re witnessing. Who is going to tell them this has been a conservative talking point all along?
In some cases within the new obsession of the 4B movement, liberal women are shaving their hair to make themselves less attractive to men. X account @libsoftiktok shared a selfie-style video of a woman cutting her own hair while telling women not to have sex with, date, or talk to men.

Regardless of the reason causing women to pursue abstinence to prevent pregnancy, the pro-life movement considers this a win.
It proves what we’ve been saying all along; women have always had control over their bodies. Women have always been able to abstain from casual sex. In fact, it would be real misogyny to suggest women are incapable of being responsible and accountable for their own consensual decisions.
If women elect to abstain from casual sex with men who don’t value them, unplanned pregnancies will be prevented. If there are less unplanned pregnancies, there will be less women seeking abortions.
There is no scenario where this is a negative, unless you happen to be Planned Parenthood or any other part of the $2 billion abortion industry. It must be difficult witnessing their clients and biggest supporters commit themselves to abstinence.

As ironic and full circle as this moment is, it shines a light on the lies and manipulation of the pro-abortion Harris/Walz campaign and one of the democrats largest donors, Planned Parenthood. When President Biden was still the Democratic nominee, Planned Parenthood pledged to spend <a href="https://apnews.com/article/planned-parenthood-spending-45-million-2024-election-a6b9252fec64d1e051816ea173dab32f" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$40 million</a> to bolster Biden and leading congressional Democrats according to a statement shared with The Associated Press.
Tens of millions of dollars behind corrupt politicians are intentionally manipulating women to think their lives are at risk with any sort of abortion restriction on the books. That number increases to hundreds of millions if you include the pro-abortion referendums across the country this election cycle.
There have been political speeches, news headlines, social media posts and more fearmongering women to believe it is illegal to get miscarriage care.
The new 4B movement posts are full of the same reiterated falsehoods and misinformation.
It is worth noting there is no state in the country, including those that have restrictions on abortion, which bans miscarriage care or ectopic pregnancy treatment and there are no states that don’t have an exception for the life of the mother. Legislation for each state is very clear on this.
It is also worth noting that there have been no women killed by abortion bans, despite pro-abortion, legacy media headlines. Of the fatal cases we’ve seen highlighted in headlines, the cause of death has been a direct result of abortion or medical malpractice.
If Kamala Harris and Tim Walz cared about women, they wouldn’t have repeatedly lied on the issue of abortion, instilling fear among women across the country. If they hadn’t campaigned on abortion lies and simply told the truth, we likely wouldn’t be seeing as many women shaving their hair off and screaming obscenities in the middle of a mental break on social media.
However entertaining and ironic these videos have been to many over the past few days, no one deserves to live in politically manufactured fear.
Women deserve to know the truth. America deserves to know the truth.

It took years of soul-searching, brokenness, and ultimately my surrender to faith to learn I wasn’t alone in this journey — that healing was not only possible but was available to me all along.
At just six-years-old, I witnessed shame for the first time when my pregnant teenage sister stood before our church confessing her sins. That moment was traumatic — not only for her but for me, too. From that point on, I lived in fear of “one sin” ruining my entire world. That fear clung to me as I grew older until I had to face my own decisions. Witnessing my sister’s experience didn’t stop me from sinning, though, it just made me want to hide it. So I did.
Raised by Christian parents, attending church, and reading the Bible, I knew the difference between right and wrong. With that knowledge came the pressure to impress my parents and my church community. I had to be the leader: the first to finish high school, go to college and graduate – all without becoming a teen mom. Looking back, it seemed more important for me not to get pregnant than it did to excel in school because of the proliferation of teen pregnancy within my family.
“Just don’t get pregnant,” I was told. And yet, I did.
So, at 17-years-old, I found myself Googling “low-cost abortion near me.”
I had no idea abortion was going to be a long-lasting regret in my heart. At the time, I thought nothing could be worse than feeling rejected by my own family and watching my dreams go down the drain.
After my first abortion appointment, I was left shattered by physical pain and emotional regret, but I kept smiling through it all, pretending nothing was wrong. I thought it would be a quick fix,—it wasn’t. Walking out of the clinic, I felt numb and broken in ways I could not explain. The weight of my decision sank into my soul with each passing day as I tried my best to carry on as if nothing had happened.
Abortion is so ugly. It kills, steals, and destroys many parts of you, not just your baby. I began having suicidal thoughts, consumed by bitterness, grief, and fear. No one prepares you for the suffering from abortion.
From that moment on, I spiraled downward, using abortion as my birth-control method of choice. Hiding one sin with another, I continued covering up my shame until one day, I decided to share my secret.
When I was 23, an argument with my parents resulted in an outburst of tears. Even though I feared they’d hate me, I confessed everything to them, including the fact that I’d had three abortions. To my surprise, they hugged me, opening the door to a healing I didn’t realize I so desperately needed — and had been rejecting.
Even though my parents told me they’d help me get counseling, none of us knew where to start or that post-abortive counseling existed. So I went on to have two more abortions. That’s when I realized: I needed a deeper change in my heart.
It wasn’t until I was brutally honest with God, crying out for help, that I stopped. I needed Him to pull me out of this cycle of death. I turned to Him, and He saved me. In that vulnerable moment, I felt a presence like never before. For the first time, I believed God’s love could reach me and my shame, and that changed everything.

One night at a church in my hometown, I found a small red wristband with the word LIFE on it. Curious, I researched the website on the inside of the wristband and contacted the organization to get involved. At this point, I didn’t even know what the terms “pro-choice” or “pro-life” meant, but I knew I had to make a change in my life. I had to stop ignoring the truth and begin denying my sinful heart.
I decided to stand with the pro-life organization in front of the abortion clinic and protest in prayer for the millions of lives taken by abortion. I felt so unworthy and shameful to even stand and pray for such a cause, but Jesus didn’t just call me worthy, He took me a step further.
The woman leading the prayer protest invited me to her summer small group created to heal post-abortive women. Hearing this for the first time, I had no idea that such a topic was being discussed in the church. That summer, a small red wristband led me to Surrendering the Secret, the post-abortion 8-week Bible study. It was the most life-altering time of my life, and a moment I’ll never forget! Jesus met me in my darkness and rescued me from years of shame.
Between 2008 and 2017 I had five abortions. I spent most of my 20s chained by my shame. But now, thanks to the grace of God, I’ve been set free. I am no longer walking in shame but in the light and truth of God’s promises.
As I continued my healing, I began <a href="https://www.instagram.com/shamefreegigi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sharing my story</a> online in hopes of reaching post-abortive women in need, but also hoping to stop women from making the same mistakes I made. As a result, I have seen a flood of girls just like me share their stories, and I have even seen babies saved, abortion appointments canceled, and lives transformed.
Recently, I had the privilege of working with Live Action on a groundbreaking 8-part video series called <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qhYsJCKi9o" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Face to Face</a>. This powerful project brought together former abortionists, former abortion industry workers, abortion survivors, and post-abortive women for raw, eye-opening conversations that the world has never seen.
This series isn’t just another conversation about abortion. Face to Face is a direct, unfiltered look at the human cost of abortion, told by those who lived through it from both sides. Sharing my story and coming face to face with a former abortionist was another step in my healing process. It was an intense, raw confrontation with the reality of my past, but it also solidified my calling to stand in the gap for other women who, like me, are searching for a way out of their pain.
I am confident God has called me to help all women, but especially those like me: young, black women who are confused, scared, and full of shame. It’s time for us to step out of the darkness and into the light.
Shame no longer has a place in my life. Now, my life is full – with two baby boys and another on the way.

I encourage you to seek out the support that’s waiting for you—whether through a local church, a post-abortive group, or simply reaching out to a trusted friend or mentor. There is hope, and you do not have to carry this burden alone.

Two pro-life Gen Z men are changing hearts and minds on abortion by going &#8220;live&#8221; on TikTok, where they reach hundreds of people every night.
James Weigel, a 23-year-old aerospace engineer based on Long Island, and Tyler Smith, a 25-year-old content creator and construction worker in Rhode Island each spend hours of their personal time in the evenings debating abortion one-on-one with people.
Both young men have separately built up considerable followings on TikTok — Weigel with nearly 12,000 followers and Smith with 408,000 followers — but they also reach hundreds more who come across their streams while scrolling.

Weigel goes live almost nightly, asking those who come up to debate him, &#8220;How do you justify abortion?&#8221;
During Smith&#8217;s streams, the text on the screen reads, &#8220;Pro-choicers are on the wrong side of history.&#8221;
Most of the people who come up to debate them simply regurgitate common pro-abortion talking points, arguing &#8220;my body, my choice,&#8221; or saying the unborn baby is not a person with rights yet, or bringing up rape, incest, and the life of the mother.
Weigel and Smith are skillful at chipping away at their guests&#8217; arguments, while hundreds of observers watch the popular abortion talking points they&#8217;ve heard all their lives fall apart.
When someone says the unborn baby isn&#8217;t conscious or can&#8217;t feel pain yet, Weigel asks them, &#8220;Why is that so crucial for whether or not we can kill somebody? Because we can have a situation where I couldn’t feel pain, but that doesn’t mean you can do evil to me.&#8221;
When someone tries to tell Smith the unborn baby &#8220;isn&#8217;t human,&#8221; he asks, &#8220;What species is it?&#8221;
&#8220;A lot of pro-choicers, they say follow the science, but then they don’t believe a new human organism begins at conception,&#8221; Smith said in a phone interview with The Daily Wire. &#8220;I am so tired of debating 9th grade biology.&#8221;
“You might not agree that’s when personhood begins, which is a totally made up word, when you get rights,” he said, but “that’s when you were created.”
If someone brings up rape, Smith says he is willing to talk about it, but the real question is, &#8220;Are there hundreds of thousands of children being killed every single year in the United States, or not?&#8221;
When someone brings up the tragic cases of women whose deaths were falsely blamed on pro-life state laws, Weigel explains the facts. This talking point has gained steam ahead of the election, he said.
&#8220;There is a greater level of arrogance that the pro-choicers seem to be carrying with them,&#8221; Weigel said in a phone interview with The Daily Wire. &#8220;They feel that now they really have some merit to their case.&#8221;
Weigel said he grew up non-denominational and &#8220;probably used to consider myself pro-choice,&#8221; but he had a &#8220;big transformation&#8221; in college at a time when he was feeling &#8220;lost and confused.&#8221;
He &#8220;despised&#8221; the Catholic Church but eventually converted to Catholicism after attending a candlelit Mass at the St. John&#8217;s Catholic Newman Center at the University of Illinois. Shortly afterward, he was invited to a small pro-life group by one of his good friends.
“That’s where I really got introduced to how evil abortion really is,&#8221; Weigel said.
Now, Weigel is well versed in Thomistic theology and Aristotelian philosophy, and those who listen to him are unwittingly exposed to both.
He is &#8220;very aware&#8221; of the risks of being so publicly pro-life.
&#8220;There’s going to be a lot of clips of me out there, and one day people will pull up different moments where I was frustrated, or maybe I was a little too aggressive with somebody,&#8221; Weigel said. 
&#8220;I think at this point I’ve kind of gone past the point of no return, or at least I’m approaching it, so I’m committed,&#8221; he laughed.
Weigel is wary of people trying to get his stream taken down by coming up to debate and then deliberately violating TikTok&#8217;s terms of service, such as saying banned words like &#8220;rape&#8221; or &#8220;suicide.&#8221; However, TikTok is also a great tool for reaching a large number of people, he said.
“It’s really important to humanize the discussion and be willing to meet the person where they are,&#8221; Weigel said. &#8220;I take it very seriously. But it’s okay to be a bit funny, to exaggerate some things, to kind of show how ridiculous what someone is saying really is.”
Both Weigel and Smith say their approach is working.
“I have convinced a lot of people, and I don’t mean to come across as boastful in that,&#8221; Weigel said. &#8220;There are a lot of people that reach out to me daily at this point and say, &#8216;you know what, I kind of didn’t like you when I first heard you on stream. But after listening and seeing what the pro-choicers say and seeing how you approach the discussion, I think you’re right. I think that there is no justification for killing your child in the womb,&#8217; and that’s quite beautiful.&#8221;
Weigel has a more formal style than Smith, although his humor and kindness come through. Pro-abortion women who insult him on his stream might find themselves addressed as &#8220;Madam.&#8221;
Meanwhile, on Smith&#8217;s stream, women who accuse him of &#8220;mansplaining&#8221; might find themselves teasingly called &#8220;sweetheart.&#8221;
“I gotta stop that,&#8221; Smith laughed in an interview. &#8220;I only say those to people that I know are not open minded, but I know I need to stop that because I’m a Christian man.&#8221;
Even with his good-natured snark, Smith&#8217;s knack for disarming people who disagree with him bears fruit, especially when he gets them to message him privately later.
&#8220;Something that I find really productive and I wish more pro-lifers did is just say hey, DM me one-on-one,&#8221; Smith said. &#8220;I get so many messages after my lives sometimes.&#8221;
During his streams, Smith puts an invitation to message him privately on the screen. Over on his Instagram, where Smith has another large audience of 56,000 followers, he has messaged with countless people.
&#8220;That’s probably where I change the most minds is when it’s one on one, when I can kind of tell them, come on now. Like, let’s be real. You’re smarter than that. Cause they’ll bring up a really bad point, and I’ll call them out on it and they’ll be like, yeah I know,&#8221; he said. “Then they understand okay, he’s actually genuine about this [and] we can get a little bit of a friendly relationship going.&#8221;
&#8220;I’ve been doing this for quite a few years now, and I’ve changed plenty of people’s minds,&#8221; Smith said. &#8220;I have a message actually, and I love going back and looking at it, it’s recent, of this girl DMing me after on TikTok saying it’s so funny, I went in there thinking I was going to change your mind and yet you changed my mind. It made me feel so happy.&#8221;
He added that he makes an effort not to embarrass people.
&#8220;If they stumble their words or they just don’t know, I’m like &#8216;hey, it’s no problem.&#8217; I want them to feel comfortable,&#8221; he said.
Smith said he became pro-life during his last year of college when he saw victim imagery of abortion, photos of aborted babies, and realized he was &#8220;totally against that.&#8221; Prior to that, he &#8220;would have probably sounded pro-choice for sure,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;I had a moment where I was pretty down in my life and started praying again,&#8221; he said. He grew up Catholic but now attends a Christian church with a great pastor.
 &#8220;Now I have a relationship with Jesus, and I’m very happy. I see the light now,&#8221; he said, adding that he is also grateful for his &#8220;great friends.&#8221;
He advocates strongly for using abortion victim imagery to change people&#8217;s minds.
&#8220;That’s what’s going to change the most minds and there’s proof about that,&#8221; he said. &#8220;That’s probably where the pro-life community falls short the most is not showing enough victim imagery.&#8221;

Smith has protested abortion in person across the country, and he is a veteran sidewalk counselor in front of Planned Parenthood, where he urges people not to keep their abortion appointments. He views this work as more important than his TikTok streams.
“TikTok, going live is fun, but what’s really important is going out there in front of these abortion clinics,” Smith said. &#8220;Just being in front of these Planned Parenthoods and helping these mothers in any way. That’s what shuts down these abortion clinics.”
He argues that abortion will end up in the trash bin of American history as slavery did 160 years ago.
“In middle school when we learn about slavery, we always think, what would we have done if we were born during that time. Would we be an abolitionist and do something to fight back and free the slaves? Or would we just let it happen? Or would we even be part of it and support the problem?&#8221; Smith said.
&#8220;Well here’s your opportunity, and you’re not doing anything about it,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I want to be able to tell my kids one day or my grandkids, hey I stood up and I fought against it.”
Ultimately, the goal of both pro-life TikTokers is to save babies. Both Smith and Weigel say they don&#8217;t plan to stop anytime soon.
“I want to save children, and I really do mean that. That’s really what’s fueling the passion and the long hours,” Weigel said.
