White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on Tuesday that the Philadelphia Eagles “enthusiastically accepted” an invitation to come to the White House and celebrate the team’s Super Bowl victory.
During the weekly <a href="https://x.com/nicksortor/status/1899520433092727069">press briefing</a>, Leavitt said she wanted to clear up some fake news about whether or not the White House had extended an invitation to the team, making it clear they had, and that the team was coming following the Eagles&#8217; victory against the Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl LIX.
“I can confirm that the Philadelphia Eagles will be here at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory,&#8221; Leavitt said.

Speaking to members of the press from the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump was asked whether the Eagles would be extended an invitation to come to the White House and celebrate their victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

It’s one of the aspects of winning they are excited about and look forward to receiving the invitation.”

Multiple people were shot on Friday when an apparent dispute unfolded adjacent to the Philadelphia Eagles&#8217; celebratory parade following their decisive victory at Super Bowl LIX.
The shooting comes just one year after a shooting also disrupted the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kc-shooting-had-no-nexus-to-terrorism-appeared-to-be-dispute-between-several-people-police" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kansas City Chiefs&#8217; parade</a>, killing one and injuring more than a dozen.

All reports thus far indicate that the shooting was unrelated to the Eagles&#8217; event and only happened in the vicinity by happenstance.
Fox News Digital shared a statement directly from the Philadelphia Police Department concerning the shooting:

The victims have been identified as a 27-year-old Hispanic female, who suffered a gunshot wound to her left leg, and a 20-year-old Asian female, who was shot in the upper left thigh. Both victims were transported by medics to Presbyterian Hospital, where they are currently listed in stable condition
At this time, no crime scene has been located, and no weapon has been recovered. Police have not made any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.</blockquote>

“I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year,” Travis said. “Right now, I’m just kicking everything down the road. … and I’m not making any crazy decisions, but right now, the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding that there’s a lot goes into this thing.”

Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch between the Eagles and the Chiefs at the Superdome in New Orleans was one-sided, with the Eagles dominating for the entire game, ending the first half with 24 unanswered points. The Eagles’ big win was the franchise&#8217;s second Super Bowl title and dashed the Chiefs in their quest for a history-making &#8220;three-peat,” or winning three Super Bowl titles in a row. 
Travis admitted that his team didn&#8217;t show up like they wanted to on Sunday. “We haven’t played that bad all year,” he <a href="https://x.com/Sam4TR/status/1888800752207896875">told</a> reporters after the game. “You don’t lose like that without everything going bad.”

Last night’s Super Bowl was replete with a new mood for the country — and you could feel it right from the beginning.
All the woke? Gone. By and large, the commercials themselves had been changed and transmuted. There were only a couple of woke commercials, but they were few and far between.
The general mood of the country is different. An optimistic, patriotic mood is present in the country, and you can feel it pretty much everywhere — evident in the Super Bowl’s advertisements to the national anthem to even the fairly terrible halftime show.
The Super Bowl kicked off a patriotic ad with Brad Pitt about how awesome America is and started with John Hancock signing the Declaration of Independence. As far as the game goes, Super-Bowl-winning Jalen Hurts is a tremendous quarterback. Not only that, he said before the game that he wanted to root himself in Jesus again. It seems Hurts and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes are very grounded guys, and that is quite a wonderful thing.
This is the kind of normie American stuff that is certainly welcome at this time in history.

Do I wish that America had more cultural moments aside from the Super Bowl? The reality is that we&#8217;re so fragmented as a culture that it&#8217;s very difficult for us to come together on anything. Super Bowl Sunday has basically become a sort of secular catechism in the United States — but that catechism for many, many years was a woke catechism. It was “End racism” in the end zones. It was performances like Lady Gaga’s shouting about trans people at halftime.
But now we have a Super Bowl that is opening with the Declaration of Independence. Under Donald Trump, America is back.
The <a href="https://x.com/BehizyTweets/status/1888725372629561611" target="_blank" rel="noopener">opening ad</a> of the Super Bowl began with Brad Pitt saying, “How did we rise? The only way. Together.” Then, the ad showed members of the military, firefighters, doctors, and nurses. It ended with cowboys carrying an American flag.
It was basically a Trump ad: cowboys on horses with an American flag in an ad that starts with the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
The Secret Service’s patriotic ad included George Washington and Abe Lincoln. John Batiste, a terrific jazz artist, performed a great national anthem. When President Trump came on the big screen, there was a giant cheer.
The usual anti-American histrionics were gone. Patriotism was the theme of the day because patriotism is now cool.
President Trump went down to the field to meet with the victims and first responders from the New Orleans terrorist attack on the field before the game.
Knowing President Trump from having met him several times, you see that when it comes to these sorts of situations, he handles them so well. He&#8217;s just real.
There was that real feel to everything. It just all felt normal.
For a long time, it felt like we were getting sucker punched every time we watched the Super Bowl. Since Barack Obama became president, you were just waiting to be sucker punched by some Left-wing messaging that had to be drilled directly into your brain.
But on Sunday, it just wasn&#8217;t there. Instead, there was a feeling that you could simply be comfortable, watch the game, and it would be fine.

President Donald Trump picked the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
The Chiefs are facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City is trying to win the big game for the third consecutive time, a feat no team has managed before. Philadelphia is looking for revenge after losing the Super Bowl to the Chiefs just two years ago.
Trump made his prediction during an interview with Fox News host Brett Baier. The president called Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes “a great, great quarterback” and had equally flattering words for his wife, Brittany.
“I just say that I watched this great quarterback – who has, by the way, a phenomenal wife, okay? She’s a Trump fan, she’s a MAGA fan so I happen to love her, okay? But she’s a great person. I watched her being interviewed, I said, ‘boy, that’s pretty good.’ But she’s great. And he’s great,” Trump said.
The NFL star’s wife has been seen as a Trump supporter since she liked a post from Trump’s Instagram account outlining the Republican Party platform in August last year. She went on to like other posts promoting the Trump-Vance 2024 campaign.
When it came to Trump’s prediction about the Super Bowl, he went with the Chiefs based on Mahomes ability to win games.
“I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City. I have to go with Kansas City. At the same time, Philadelphia has just a fantastic — it’s gonna be just a great game,” Trump said.

Chiefs’ players have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/great-honor-cool-nfl-players-react-to-trump-attending-super-bowl">appeared</a> excited to play for Trump since the president announced he would attend the big game. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce called the opportunity to play for the president a “great honor.”
“That’s awesome. It’s a great honor,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said when asked about Trump’s attendance last week. “I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know. And having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool.”
Mahomes also welcomed Trump to the game, saying, “It’s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone that is at the top position in our country.”

Trump Makes His Pick To Win Super Bowl LIX

Some of the biggest names playing in Super Bowl LIX have welcomed President Donald Trump’s attendance at the game, with one calling it a “great honor.”
The Kansas City Chiefs are seeking a three-peat Super Bowl victory on Sunday in a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs and Eagles last met in the big game in 2023 when Kansas City knocked off Philadelphia 38 to 35.
&#8220;That’s awesome. It’s a great honor,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said when asked about Trump’s attendance. “I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was similarly warm toward Trump: “It&#8217;s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone that is at the top position in our country.”
Trump has been complimentary toward Mahomes in the lead up to Sunday’s game. The president was asked on Wednesday who he would be rooting for, and while he declined to say, he made a comment believed to be about Mahomes.
“I don’t want to say, but there’s a certain quarterback that seems to be a pretty good winner,” Trump said.
Mahomes accepted the compliment: “It’s cool to hear that he&#8217;s seen me play football and respects the game that I play.”

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and offensive tackle Jordan Mailata welcomed Trump to attend but made clear they were more focused on the game rather than who would be in the stands.
“That&#8217;s cool, but Donald is not on that field. That&#8217;s cool, but again, that&#8217;s blocking out the noise,” Mailata <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub60OMoG_cc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “What am I going to do thinking about Donald Trump? How is that going to make me win the game?”
Hurts <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/eagles-jalen-hurts-responds-trump-attending-super-bowl-lix-hes-welcome-do-what-he-wants" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> the president is “welcome to do what he wants.” Asked if the president’s attendance placed any “added pressure” on the game, Hurts responded, “no ma’am.”
Trump has received support from some players who missed out on the Super Bowl this year, as well. Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said that the opportunity to play in front of Trump would be “something to knock off the bucket list.”
“Not everyday do you get to, you know, play football in front of, you know, the guy that, you know, people respect at the helm of this country, man. I’ve always been a fan of Donald Trump, by the way, so, that would be awesome,” Hill said.

‘Great Honor,’ ‘Cool’: NFL Players React To Trump Attending Super Bowl

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/philadelphia">Philadelphia</a> Democratic Mayor Cherelle Parker pleaded to residents ahead of this Sunday’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/super-bowl">Super Bowl</a>, urging fans to tone down their celebration antics if the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/philadelphia-eagles">Eagles</a> are victorious.
“Please Philadelphia, I implore you, as your mayor, do not climb light poles,” she said at a press conference on Thursday night. 
The request comes a little less than two weeks after the Eagles clinched the NFC Championship, leading to huge celebrations across the city that resulted in an 18-year-old Temple University student dying after falling from a light pole. The police department issued 31 citations for disorderly conduct and failure to disburse, per the <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/02/06/us-news/philly-mayor-begs-eagles-fans-to-act-civilized-if-team-wins-super-bowl/">New York Post</a>.
“For your mayor, please, just don’t climb onto anything, OK? That’s our Golden Rule,” Parker added, using a stern tone. “This comes up every time we have an outdoor celebration after our Philly teams win,” she said. “We do not want anything to happen to you, your friends, or your family members.”
Officials did not confirm if they would be greasing the city’s light poles to deter potential climbers ahead of Sunday’s game, which they did two years ago when the Eagles were in the Super Bowl.
The Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The Chiefs hope to make Super Bowl history with a “three-peat” win, while the Eagles will attempt to redeem themselves after losing to the Chiefs 38 &#8211; 35 at Super LVII in 2023. 
Mayor Parker made headlines last month after she <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/philadelphia-mayor-misspells-eagles-chant/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">misspelled</a> the word &#8220;Eagles&#8221; while leading a chant at a pep rally. 
She said, &#8220;E-L-G-S-E-S, Eagles!&#8221; instead of &#8220;E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!” leading to mass mockery online. 
Parker tried to laugh it off later at a press conference, saying, “We don’t promise perfection, I’m so happy I never have, especially after I couldn’t spell Eagles right.”

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NFL</a> released a statement pushing back on prevalent theories that its referees have helped the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kansas-city-chiefs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kansas City Chiefs</a> get to the Super Bowl, calling them “insulting and preposterous.”
In a <a href="https://www.nflra.com/_files/ugd/c2b7be_7e86fdaf0cb84c1aa58f4ebb3e2a6052.pdf?_sm_nck=1">press release</a> from the NFL Referees Association (NFLRA), the union representing all NFL officials, it maintained its efforts to ensure the fairness and integrity of the game.
“[NFL] Commissioner Goodell’s comments that it is ‘ridiculous’ to presume that NFL Officials are not doing everything possible to make the right call on every play is spot on,” Scott Green, Executive Director of the NFLRA, said in the release.
“Officiating crews do not work the same team more than twice each regular season,” he added. “It is insulting and preposterous to hear conspiracy theories that somehow 17 officiating crews consisting of 138 officials are colluding to assist one team.”

“There are many things that fans can worry about over a 17-game season, such as coaching decisions, player injuries, the weather and, yes, even close calls on incredible plays made by incredible athletes,” Green continued. “But you can rest assured that on every single down, NFL Officials, both on the field and in the replay booth, are doing everything humanly possible to officiate every play correctly.”
During Goodell’s state of the league address, the commissioner called the idea that refs were helping the Chiefs a “ridiculous theory,” <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43682538/roger-goodell-shuts-notion-nfl-officials-partial-chiefs">ESPN</a> reported.
&#8220;This sort of reminds me a little bit of the script,&#8221; Goodell said. &#8220;That I write a script, and I have the script for the entire season &#8230; I think it reflects a lot of the fans&#8217; passion, and I think it also is a reminder for us how important officiating is. And I think the men and women that officiate the NFL are outstanding. They have the highest possible standards.&#8221;
&#8220;Our officials are evaluated in several ways,” he added. “It&#8217;s not just the performance on the field, but it&#8217;s things that go on in their own lives, and we have a very tight control over that. We monitor that very closely in a number of ways.&#8221;
The NFL commissioner then pointed to the Chiefs not having had blowout games, noting that 11 of the 17 games have been within one score.
One <a href="https://myfox8.com/sports/football/do-the-kansas-city-chiefs-get-help-from-the-refs/">Fox affiliate</a> out of North Carolina decided to dig into the notion that the officiating at Chiefs games was unfair to other teams and found, looking into the Chiefs&#8217; rankings in total penalties and penalty yards since 2018, the numbers just don’t seem to add up.
“When looking at the numbers, there simply is not any smoking gun that would indicate the Chiefs receive disproportionate favor from the officials relative to other NFL teams,” it wrote. “That is not to say that Kansas City is never the beneficiary of misjudged, incorrect, or poor calls as there are absolutely instances where that is the case as there are for any NFL team.”

‘Insulting And Preposterous’: NFL Goes On Defense Regarding Ref Calls For Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs star QB <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/patrick-mahomes">Patrick Mahomes</a> confirmed that all of his family will be attending Super Bowl LIX on Sunday in New Orleans, and that includes his 3-week-old daughter, Golden Raye.
Speaking to members of the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJGbNITaF-4">press</a>, Mahomes said it’s “always motivating” when you have another baby, and that having his family there, including wife <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brittany-mahomes">Brittany Mahomes</a> and their two other kids, daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze,” 2, at his games means everything, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2025/02/04/entertainment/patrick-mahomes-daughter-golden-will-attend-super-bowl-2025/">Page Six</a> reported.
“She’s been amazing, she’s been sleeping well,” Mahomes said. “Mom’s been extremely happy, and I’m excited for her to be able to come. I think it’ll be her first football game at the Super Bowl, and I hope that we get her a win.”
“I mean, just because I want them to have the same experiences that the other two had,” he added.

At another Super Bowl media event, the Chiefs QB was asked about being a dad of three kids and how it compares to Kansas City possibly winning a three-peat in the Super Bowl.
“Being a new dad of three is not easy,” <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFowP2yRau3/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ%3D%3D">Mahomes said</a>. “You know I have a lot of help. So, that’s helped me out right now.”
“But after the Super Bowl, I’m all hands on deck,” he added. “So, it’s going to be dad time. I’m going to be playing. I’m going to be playing defense with those two older ones. So, we’re going to see how it goes. But three-peat’s not easy either. But being a dad of three, I know that’s going to be a challenge.&#8221;
During the Chiefs playoff bye week, earned after leading the pack in the AFC with a 15-2 record, Brittany gave birth to the couple’s third child.
She later shared the happy news on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DExu1ETx-0Q/">Instagram</a> about their little one’s arrival, with a sweet black-and-white photo that included their daughter’s name “•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25.”
Brittany and Patrick met in high school in Texas. They welcomed a daughter in 2021, and the couple finally tied the knot in 2022. In 2022, they shared news that they were expecting again and <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1348178/brittany-and-patrick-mahomes-welcome-baby-no-2">welcomed</a> their son later that year. In July 2024, the couple announced the exciting news that they were expecting again.
