Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lindsey-graham" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lindsey Graham</a> (R-SC) said over the weekend that President-elect Donald Trump plans to implement a $100 billion agenda to secure the U.S. border and deport illegal aliens in the United States.
Graham made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CBS News&#8217; &#8220;Face The Nation&#8221; with Margaret Brennan when asked about Trump&#8217;s border agenda.
&#8220;Do you have a top line number yet on how much this is all going to cost?&#8221; Brennan asked.
&#8220;Yes, $100 billion for border security through reconciliation would be enough to hire ICE agents, create new detention beds, and finish the wall and put technology in place over four years,&#8221; Graham said. &#8220;$200 billion will be given to the military to make it more capable of deterring China. $100 billion for border. $200 billion for the military.&#8221;
&#8220;I met with Mike Johnson yesterday,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;He has a political problem in the House. He wants to do one big, beautiful bill. I have never been more worried about an attack on our homeland than I am now with the rise of ISIS in Afghanistan and wars all over the world. I think the number one priority for the Republican Party should be to secure that border. You need new money to do it. And if we don&#8217;t, we&#8217;re playing Russian roulette with our own national security.&#8221;
&#8220;You need to secure that border like our life depended on it,&#8221; he added.

Speaker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/mike-johnson" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mike Johnson</a> (R-LA) said on Sunday that he wants the House to pass one hefty budget reconciliation bill to realize President-elect <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>&#8216;s policy agenda during the early months of his second term, dealing with a broad range of issues such as border security, tax cut extensions, the U.S. economy, and energy.
In an interview on &#8220;Sunday Morning Futures,&#8221; Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo noted that new Senate Budget Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has been pushing for splitting the legislation into two reconciliation bills and asked Johnson what Trump prefers.

&#8220;Yes, he and I have talked about this quite a bit, as you might imagine, over the last few months, determining the pros and cons of the two different strategies,&#8221; Johnson said. &#8220;I respect Lindsey Graham and all my friends who kind of preferred a two-step strategy. The idea would be: get something done on the border and maybe defense spending right out of the blocks very quickly in what we would call a skinny reconciliation bill, and then do the rest of it in a larger chunk later.&#8221;
Johnson, who huddled with colleagues over the weekend at Fort McNair to discuss the plan, said he thought &#8220;at the end of the day, President Trump is going to prefer, as he likes to say, &#8216;one big, beautiful bill.&#8217; And there&#8217;s a lot of merit to that, because we can put it all together, one big up-or-down vote, which can save the country, quite literally, because there are so many elements to it. And it&#8217;ll give us a little bit more time to negotiate that and get it right.&#8221;

The speaker insisted the plan for reconciliation does not mean &#8220;we won&#8217;t come right out of the gates full-fledged right out of the beginning of the Congress.&#8221; The House will be &#8220;addressing the border&#8221; over the next couple weeks with fixes that are &#8220;so commonsense&#8221; that some Democrats may support them, Johnsons noted, adding that those bills could be ready for Trump to sign when he takes office on January 20.
As for the reconciliation bill itself, the legislation will &#8220;have a lot of pieces,&#8221; Johnson said. &#8220;We made a lot of campaign promises. President Trump did as well, and reconciliation is the way to get it done. Why? Because you avoid a 60-vote threshold in the Senate.&#8221;
Johnson then alluded to <a href="https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL30458" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a two-step process</a> in which putting together a budget resolution would precede the House and Senate actually considering the reconciliation legislation.
&#8220;Reconciling the budget, which we will pass in early February, is how we will get all of our committees involved, committees of jurisdiction all these big issues. What are they? Well, obviously, we have to secure the border. We have got to make sure that our Border Patrol agents and our immigration enforcement agencies have the right directives from the White House, but also the right resources to do their job and secure that border once and for all,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;We have got to take care of the dangerous illegal criminals who have come over, and all that&#8217;s part of it as well. And we have got to shift immediately to the economy. Maria, you know, you talk about every day, we have got to revive the U.S. economy, and we can. We know how to do it,&#8221; Johnson continued. &#8220;Part of that is preventing the largest tax increase in U.S. history, which would happen automatically at the end of next year if we don&#8217;t get our ducks in a row. So we&#8217;re going to make sure that happens. We&#8217;re going to incentivize American companies to manufacture in the U.S. again. And we&#8217;re going to make sure that the regulatory burden and the red tape that has smothered our free market is reduced and eliminated.&#8221;
Johnson said &#8220;we&#8217;re going to be dismantling the deep state all along the way. We&#8217;re going to restore American energy dominance, so many different pieces to this, Maria. They all have to work together. And, of course, the president has asked us and really needs us to address the debt limit crisis before that hits in June. So, a lot of moving pieces, a lot of things to negotiate, a lot of opinions on all that, so we will be working long, long hours with whiteboards, making sure every Republican is on board, because, remember, I will be dealing with the smallest margin in U.S. history for much of the first 100 days. But we&#8217;re going to get it done.&#8221;
Bartiromo asked Johnson if he is expecting to raise or eliminate the debt ceiling as part of the reconciliation legislation.
&#8220;I think we&#8217;re going to have to do it in that bill. And the reason for that, Maria, is that we won&#8217;t have to negotiate with [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer and the Democrats on that,&#8221; the speaker replied. &#8220;If you do it in reconciliation, you can do it just with the Republican Party. So we will have very thoughtful discussion and debate about where that limit should go. But here&#8217;s the important thing everybody needs to remember. We&#8217;re the team that wants to cut spending, and we will. And we will do it dramatically, all the wasteful spending in government. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/department-of-government-efficiency-doge" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DOGE</a> will be doing its effort in coordination with all this. But you have to raise the debt limit on paper, so that we don&#8217;t frighten the bond markets and the world&#8217;s economy. You know how that works. It&#8217;s about the stability of our economy. But we don&#8217;t intend to spend to that limit, as President Trump will clarify all the time. We&#8217;re going to raise the ceiling, but we are going to be cutting all along the way, so we can do both of those things simultaneously.&#8221;
Bartiromo also pressed Johnson on &#8220;what&#8217;s a realistic timeline&#8221; for getting the legislative package advanced through Congress and on Trump&#8217;s desk. &#8220;Would you have that on the president&#8217;s desk by May?&#8221; she asked.
&#8220;Certainly by May, yes,&#8221; Johnson said. &#8220;In fact, we&#8217;re targeting a vote in the House maybe in the first week of April. Now, everything&#8217;s got to move in the right sequence. And along the way, I think we&#8217;re going to keep those trains moving in the right direction and on time. And if that happens, we will get it out of the House in early April, maybe as soon as April 3, and then move it over to the Senate. That would put that bill on the president&#8217;s desk for signature by the end of April. That would be fantastic. And, in a worst-case scenario: Memorial Day.&#8221;

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) urged his fellow senators on Wednesday to avoid joining an &#8220;angry mob&#8221; during the confirmation process of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for attorney general.
Graham met with Gaetz and Vice President-elect JD Vance on Wednesday morning. Vance took Gaetz and Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth around Capitol Hill to meet with key senators ahead of their confirmation hearings. Both Gaetz and Hegseth have been viewed as controversial picks, with some Republican senators publicly expressing their concern over Gaetz being tapped to head the Justice Department.
Gaetz, who has been one of President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s most ardent supporters, was the subject of a DOJ sex trafficking investigation, but no charges were brought against him. The House Ethics Committee is also investigating the Florida Republican for alleged sexual misconduct. Gaetz resigned from Congress immediately after being nominated for attorney general, effectively ending the probe.
For the upcoming confirmation hearing, Graham asked his colleagues to neither &#8220;rubber stamp&#8221; Gaetz nor &#8220;be driven by a lynch mob.&#8221;
&#8220;I had a very good meeting with President Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, Matt Gaetz, and Vice President-elect JD Vance. I am committed to allowing the process to go forward in a manner consistent with past practices and fundamental fairness. Tapper specifically honed in on Trump calling Harris &#8220;mentally impaired&#8221; during a campaign rally.
&#8220;Kamala is mentally impaired. Joe Biden became mentally impaired. Kamala was born that way,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;If you think about it, only a mentally disabled person could have allowed this to happen to our country.&#8221;
Tapper said that Trump was &#8220;insulting&#8221; people who had mental impairments and claimed &#8220;Vice President Kamala Harris is not mentally impaired.&#8221;

Sen. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lindsey-graham" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lindsey Graham</a> (R-SC) said over the weekend that the Biden-Harris administration has set the world &#8220;on fire&#8221; in the name of &#8220;not escalating&#8221; conflicts around the world.
Graham made the remarks during a Sunday CNN interview with Jake Tapper on &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; while discussing Israel&#8217;s strike late last week that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
The senator said that he believes that the events over the last year, starting with Hamas&#8217; unprecedented terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, and Israel subsequently decimating both Hamas and Hezbollah, both of which are Iranian-backed terrorist groups, is pushing Iran closer to building a nuclear weapon.
&#8220;We&#8217;re one missile away from civilians getting killed in Israel and maybe Israel having to hit Iran,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Blinken said the Iranian nuclear program was weeks away from having a weapon, potentially. I think what Iran&#8217;s learning from all this, it&#8217;s probably better to have a nuclear weapon than not. Their proxies have really been hurt. Hezbollah, Hamas have really been hurt.&#8221;
&#8220;So what I fear is, they will break out toward a nuclear weapon, thinking that&#8217;s the insurance policy they don&#8217;t have through the proxies,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;So that&#8217;s what I worry about the most today.&#8221;

He said that the relationship between the Biden-Harris administration and the state of Israel is so weak that Israel largely does not consult with the administration.
&#8220;The Biden administration is paralyzed by fear of Iran,&#8221; he said. &#8220;In the name of not escalating, the world is on fire. So I promise you, if Trump does win, we&#8217;re going to fix this pretty quick.&#8221;

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) urged Israel to go after the Islamic Republic of Iran during an interview over the weekend, saying that nothing will change in the region until the force funding the majority of the region&#8217;s terrorism is held accountable.
Graham made the remarks during a Sunday NBC News interview on &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; following Israel&#8217;s detonation of thousands of pagers and walkie talkies last week that were used by Hezbollah terrorists, the results of which included thousands of wounded terrorists and dozens who were killed.
&#8220;October the 7th was designed to stop normalization,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Trump did the Abraham Accords. Biden&#8217;s been working to get Saudi Arabia to recognize Israel. That&#8217;s a nightmare for Iran. So October the 7th was designed to stop that. It was so horrific.&#8221;
&#8220;Now you see a front opening in the north. So here&#8217;s what I would tell my friends in Israel: Do not give up on normalization with Saudi Arabia,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I know you got to deal with Hezbollah. There was an imminent attack. But two things – one or two things have to change in the Mid East. We need to make game-changing peace, which is reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Israel, or game-changing military strategy. Going into Lebanon to establish a buffer zone won&#8217;t work unless you hit Iran.&#8221;
&#8220;To my friends in Israel, you&#8217;re fighting the proxies,&#8221; he concluded on the subject. &#8220;Fight the source, the great Satan, Iran. To the Biden administration, you&#8217;ve let Iran run wild. You&#8217;ve given them $80 billion of relief on sanctions. They&#8217;re rich, they&#8217;re running wild. And now&#8217;s the time to hit the source of the problem, the Iranians.&#8221;

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned over the weekend that the threat environment that the U.S. faces at home and abroad is so severe under the Biden-Harris administration that the U.S. is &#8220;living on borrowed time&#8221; before another 9/11 attack happens.
The remarks from Graham, which happened during a Fox News interview on Sunday morning, come after numerous top U.S. officials have made similar statements over the last couple of years in light of the how the world has been significantly more dangerous since Trump left office.
Graham highlighted the numerous ways that the Biden-Harris administration has been &#8220;a disaster on the world stage&#8221; from dealing with terrorism to Russian aggression in Europe.
&#8220;We had Iran in a box. The one of the first things that Biden did was let them get back in the oil business,&#8221; Graham said. &#8220;We&#8217;re at 300,000 barrels a day when Trump left, in terms of Iranian oil. 1.3 million now a day by the Iranians. They took that money, gave it to Hamas, Hezbollah, and they&#8217;re on the verge of a nuclear weapon. When it comes to the Biden-Harris administration, they&#8217;re a complete disaster.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;ve never been more worried about a nuclear breakout by Iran than I am right now,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I&#8217;ve never been more worried about another 9/11 against America than I am right now. The withdrawal from Afghanistan put every jihadist on steroids. We have a broken border. There are more terrorists in our country than any time I can remember associated with terrorism. So a 9/11, we&#8217;re just living on borrowed time here at home, and Israel may have to strike to prevent a nuclear armed Iran. If the Ayatollah, who&#8217;s a religious Nazi, had a nuclear weapon, he would use it. It&#8217;s just not Ukraine. The entire world is on fire, and Harris&#8217;s fingerprints are all over this. She was the last person in the room on Afghanistan.&#8221;
Graham&#8217;s remarks come as Western intelligence officials <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/activity-spotted-at-irans-former-nuclear-weapons-facilities?topStoryPosition=2">leaked</a> late last week that the Iranians have started work again on their nuclear weapons program.
&#8220;If we do not change course, Iran is going to have a nuclear weapon,&#8221; he said. &#8220;There&#8217;s going to be a 9/11 attack on our country, and if we don&#8217;t watch it, Putin is going to keep marching to Europe.&#8221;

Senator Graham Warns U.S. ‘Living On Borrowed Time’ For Another 9/11

One Republican senator is demanding answers after several people reported that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/amazon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amazon&#8217;s</a> Alexa was biased in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he was putting Amazon &#8220;on notice&#8221; in a letter to the tech giant on Thursday.
Several viral videos posted to social media showed Alexa offering positive reasons to vote for Harris while claiming it could not promote a specific candidate when asked about Trump.
“Alexa, why should I vote for Donald Trump?” a woman asked Amazon&#8217;s virtual assistant in one video.
“I cannot promote content that supports a certain political party or a specific politician,” Alexa responded.
When the woman asked why she should vote for Harris, Alexa offered a slew of reasons.
“Although there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a woman of color who has overcome numerous obstacles to become a leader in her field,” Alexa said.

“Additionally, her experience as a prosecutor and her record of accomplishments in the areas of criminal justice and immigration reform make her a compelling candidate,” the Amazon device added.
Amazon has since said the disparity was an &#8220;error&#8221; and has been corrected.
&#8220;This was an error that was quickly fixed,&#8221; a spokesperson for the company <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/lindsey-graham-puts-amazon-on-notice-over-alexas-potential-election-interference" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News earlier this week.
Alexa <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/05/us-news/lindsey-graham-blasts-amazon-over-alexas-pro-harris-bias/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> now gives the same answer for both candidates, declining to provide reasons to support them.
In his letter to Amazon President and CEO Andrew Jassy, Graham warned that, &#8220;I will not allow this to go unaddressed, and expect a prompt reply as to what happened here and what corrective actions will be taken in the future.&#8221;
&#8220;There&#8217;s a widespread belief among conservatives that companies like yours have a distinct bias in favor of liberal causes,&#8221; Graham wrote. &#8220;These radically different responses suggest that Amazon technology is interfering in the election in favor of one political candidate.&#8221;
&#8220;This was a giant step backwards on so many fronts,&#8221; Graham wrote. &#8220;There must be answers about what happened here and I expect them soon.&#8221;
The 2024 election is expected to be a close contest between Trump and Harris.
Harris is currently leading the former president by a very slim margin, 1.8 percentage points <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to RealClearPolitics&#8217; average of polls.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said over the weekend that the only way to get the American hostages released from Hamas captivity inside Gaza is to start targeting infrastructure that the Islamic Republic of Iran values.
Graham made the remarks during a Sunday interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; while discussing the six hostages — including one U.S. citizen, 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin — who were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/american-israeli-hersh-goldberg-polin-among-six-dead-hostages-recovered-by-israeli-forces-in-rafah?topStoryPosition=1">discovered</a> on Sunday after being murdered by Hamas.
Graham said that he was &#8220;heartbroken,&#8221; &#8220;devastated,&#8221; and &#8220;mad&#8221; in response to the news that the six hostages — who had been held for approximately 11 months after Hamas&#8217; unprecedented October 7 terrorist attack.
He said that Goldberg-Polin&#8217;s parents &#8220;have done everything in their power to help their son be released from captivity.&#8221;
&#8220;After 11 months of captivity he was murdered by Hamas,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Hamas could care less about the hostages or the Palestinians. And if you want the hostages home, which we all do, you have to increase the cost to Iran. Iran is the great Satan here. Hamas is the junior partner. They’re barbaric, religious nazis, Hamas. They could care less about the Palestinian people.&#8221;
&#8220;I would urge the Biden administration and Israel to hold Iran accountable for the fate of remaining hostages and put on the target list oil refineries in Iran if the hostages are not released,&#8221; he continued.
After Karl acted as a spokesperson for the Biden-Harris administration, claiming that they promised that Hamas would &#8220;pay for these crimes&#8221;, Graham fired back: &#8220;What are they going to pay? I mean, what’s the price?&#8221;
&#8220;I mean, they destroyed a lot of Gaza. They put their own people in harm’s way. The – Hamas could care less about – about the Palestinian people,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;Mr. President, Bibi, if you want to really change things when it comes to the hostages, tell the Ayatollah what he values is on the target list. Until that happens, nobody’s coming home.&#8221;

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) slammed the Democratic National Convention (DNC) during an interview over the week for being a cesspool of &#8220;hate&#8221; while trying to sell their presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, as being the source of &#8220;joy.&#8221;
Graham made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; with host Jake Tapper when asked about the large fundraising numbers Democrats have secured over the last several weeks.
&#8220;If you&#8217;re a Republican, you saw a hate fest. You saw a hate fest full of insults,&#8221; Graham said. &#8220;And Donald Trump said to Barack Obama, you&#8217;re a nice man after President Obama insulted and jabbed President Trump continuously. It was designed to draw him into an exchange of insults. It was light on policy, heavy on insults.&#8221;
&#8220;So I told President Trump then and now, you&#8217;re going to win this thing if you focus on policy,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;Americans are not joyful when they go to the gas station and fill up their car. They&#8217;re not joyful when they make their mortgage payment. They&#8217;re not joyful when they go to the grocery store. People are hurting.&#8221;
&#8220;And this whole joy lovefest doesn&#8217;t exist in the real world. Gas was $1.87 a gallon when President Trump left office. We had the most secure border in the last 40 years. Inflation was down, not up, and the world was not on fire,&#8221; he added. &#8220;So, 60 percent of Americans are not joyful. They believe their country is going in the wrong direction. And I think President Trump offers the best solution to change the trajectory of the country. And, finally, if you&#8217;re waiting on Kamala Harris to come up with new policies, you&#8217;re going to die of waiting, because she will continue what they have been doing for the last four years.&#8221;
