Conservative Argentinian President Javier Milei, a staunch supporter of the state of Israel, announced on Wednesday that Argentina will move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, declaring, “In a world of cowards, Israel bravely defends its right to exist. Argentina will not stand aside; we will support Israel with all our strength.”

“The Argentine embassy will move to Jerusalem during the year 2026,” Milei <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/409815">announced</a> in the Knesset. “My brothers and sisters, Argentina stands by you in these difficult days. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for much of the international community that is being manipulated by terrorists and turning victims into perpetrators. It is important to understand that we are in the midst of a battle between good and evil, and we began to lose this battle when we began to not distinguish between the two. The international community must urgently reconnect with its moral compass. To decide, one only needs to look at the facts: on the one hand, the barbaric terrorism that only kills and destroys, and on the other, the only stronghold in the region where there is freedom and democracy.&#8221;
&#8220;Javier, you are a true friend,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated. “With this visit, we are bringing our relations to new heights. 12,000 kilometers separate Buenos Aires, Israel, and the Knesset in Jerusalem. This great distance is compensated for by the closeness of our hearts.&#8221;
&#8220;A year and a half ago, you stormed into the presidency of your country,” he noted. “You brought a unique, authentic and decisive leadership style. A sweeping style, and from the very first moment you expressed complete support for Israel. For 20 months, we have been fighting the human monsters who kidnapped, raped, and beheaded on October 7. In the face of this brutal and unprecedented aggression, you said in clear words, ‘We are on your side in the battle against the forces of darkness.’ Thank you for standing by us in the battle against the forces of darkness. You stood on the side of truth and against lies, understanding that this is a just war beyond compare. This is a war of barbarity that threatens the entire world.&#8221;
&#8220;You share our spirit against those who issue outrageous arrest warrants for leaders in Israel. What are you actually saying? You are saying that good is good, evil is evil, and good must eradicate evil. Israeli citizens feel a natural sympathy for Argentina for many reasons. Argentina has always been engraved in our hearts,&#8221; Netanyahu said.
Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana noted that Milei learns weekly with a rabbi, saying, “These, as you’ve said, have given you ‘a moral compass lacking in the modern political world.’ You searched, you deepened, you found your roots. And in doing so, you discovered the truth that connects our people across millennia to our ancient homeland and to our one and only eternal capital.”
“It is no surprise that you have become one of Israel’s most passionate friends and defenders on the world stage,” Ohana continued. “Your words have resonated far and wide and have been received by the people of Israel like cold water to a parched soul — words backed by actions. You have stood against Iran — the regime of evil funding the current war against Israel on seven fronts.”
“By standing with Israel, you have woven yourself and the Argentine people into the eternal story of the Jewish nation. On behalf of the Knesset, representing all citizens of Israel — thank you. Long live the State of Israel; long live Argentina, long live liberty!” Ohana concluded.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s call to shut down the Office of Palestinian Affairs (OPA) and consolidate its operations into the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is a timely and welcome move that restores clarity and coherence to American diplomacy in the region. The decision not only aligns with U.S. law and longstanding policy, but also reflects a realistic appraisal of the current geopolitical landscape.
The OPA operated as a quasi-independent diplomatic mission to the Palestinian Authority, with its head reporting directly to the State Department rather than to the U.S. Ambassador in Jerusalem. Its presence in the heart of Jerusalem, separate from the embassy, created confusion about America’s stance on the city’s status and appeared to circumvent both Israeli sovereignty and the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, which recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and directs that the U.S. embassy be located there.
This arrangement wasn’t new. The Trump administration closed the OPA in 2019 for precisely these reasons, merging its responsibilities into the newly established U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. That decision was consistent with President Trump’s broader effort to reshape American policy in the Middle East by acknowledging geopolitical realities rather than clinging to outdated diplomatic frameworks.
When the Biden administration reopened the OPA in 2022, it reignited controversy. The move was met with strong opposition from Israel, which declined to grant the office formal diplomatic status. The OPA resumed operations nonetheless, conducting outreach to the Palestinian Authority while sidestepping coordination with the embassy. In one notable instance, the office called for Israeli “restraint” in its response to the October 2023 Hamas attacks, just a day after the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Such unilateral statements only deepened concerns about the office’s role and legitimacy.
Moreover, the OPA’s treatment of American citizens — particularly dual Israeli-American nationals — raised serious questions. Reports that such individuals were denied consular services through the OPA, and instead redirected to other diplomatic channels, suggested a politicized approach to basic diplomatic duties.
If the United States wishes to maintain constructive relations with the Palestinian people, those efforts should be directed either through the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem or through a diplomatic office in Ramallah, where the Palestinian Authority is based. The OPA’s placement in Jerusalem signaled an unresolved stance on the city’s status — a stance that contradicts both American law and policy.
Secretary Rubio’s proposal to close the OPA and fold its functions into the existing embassy structure is a common-sense step that reflects the reality on the ground. It reinforces the U.S.–Israel alliance, upholds American law, and eliminates a source of unnecessary diplomatic friction. It also brings U.S. policy in line with a broader strategic vision — one that prioritizes stability, mutual recognition, and pragmatic engagement over symbolic gestures.
The Jerusalem Center for Applied Policy (JCAP), among others, has long called for this change. Their conversations with members of Congress and the administration emphasized not only the legal inconsistencies of the OPA but also its potential to undermine both Israeli sovereignty and American credibility in the region.
Going forward, additional policy adjustments should follow this logic. Suspending aid and even shutting down UNRWA, reviewing funding for UNESCO and other UN agencies that undermine Israel’s sovereignty, and supporting Israel’s development efforts in Jerusalem are all aligned with a coherent and values-driven U.S. foreign policy. These steps reinforce not only America’s partnership with Israel but also its broader interest in a secure and stable Middle East.
Secretary Rubio’s leadership on this issue marks a step toward restoring diplomatic focus and credibility. In a region long burdened by ambiguity and contradiction, such clarity is both overdue and necessary.

<h3>Bill Clinton, George Mitchell, and a Tale of Two Peace Processes</h3>
Prime Minister Netanyahu assumed office on June 18, 1996, and immediately set out to do the job the Israeli public elected him to do. When forced to choose, Rabin and Peres always made sure the cart was in front of the horse. First, one had to implement the two-state solution, and then Israel would (hopefully) get security. Under Netanyahu, the cart and the horse were put back into their rightful places. First, Israel had to get security, and then he would implement the two-state solution. In Netanyahu’s words, “One of the key goals in my first term as prime minister was to change the Palestinian perception that ‘terrorism pays’ to ‘terrorism doesn’t pay.’ I did this by insisting on security and reciprocity.”<a href="#_ftn1" name="_ftnref1">[1]</a>
He was tested almost immediately. On September 24, 1996, Netanyahu gave authorization to unseal the door to a tunnel that ran along the outer rim of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. The door was nowhere near any mosque and opened into the Christian Quarter of the Old City. But Arafat, a human mushroom cloud, ordered his men to go on the attack using the very guns the Israelis had given them as part of the Oslo Accords, ostensibly to fight terrorism.<a href="#_ftn2" name="_ftnref2">[2]</a> By the time the mini-war ended, seventeen Israelis and about a hundred Palestinians were dead.<a href="#_ftn3" name="_ftnref3">[3]</a>
Thousands of wars have been fought since mankind became cognizant of territory and the desire to control it — none were started over a door. Admittedly, this wasn’t just any door, just as the Wailing Wall isn’t just any wall. But for its American and Israeli champions, the peace process was supposed to be the forum for settling disputes, not the battlefield.
Clinton Administration officials blamed Netanyahu.

They called for a summit where they demanded that Netanyahu make concessions. When he resisted, Clinton went into a dark rage so loud it could be heard in the next room. In the words of Dennis Ross, “Arafat now knew that Bibi was the desperate one.”<a href="#_ftn4" name="_ftnref4">[4]</a> Violence was thus not only tolerated — it was rewarded.
When a semblance of security was eventually restored, Netanyahu advanced the peace process. He agreed to not one but two interim withdrawals — the Hebron Accords and the Wye River Memorandum — but he steadfastly insisted that progress be conditioned on Arafat fighting terrorism. American officials were outraged. After Netanyahu demanded that Arafat arrest thirteen suspected terrorists, Clinton “exploded,” according to Ross, who wrote bemusedly that he was “struck by [Netanyahu’s] belief that&#8230;he was the victim of mistreatment.”<a href="#_ftn5" name="_ftnref5">[5]</a> On another occasion, Ross writes that the Clinton Administration saw Bibi’s complaints over a bombing as “an excuse to avoid negotiations” and that Bibi was “killing any prospect of peace.”<a href="#_ftn6" name="_ftnref6">[6]</a>
Meanwhile, the stubborn insistence on that which is most basic in a peace process — namely peace — paid off for ordinary Israelis. During the long, seemingly unending terror campaign that defined the Oslo Peace Process, the lowest loss of life occurred during the premiership of Netanyahu. Only one Israeli died per month on his watch. For Peres, the figures were seven and a half times worse.<a href="#_ftn7" name="_ftnref7">[7]</a>

The Wye agreement — which required a sizeable withdrawal from West Bank territory by the Israelis — proved Netanyahu’s commitment to the peace process, at least while Israeli buses and pizzerias weren’t being blown to bits. Signed on October 23, 1998, it caused his right-wing coalition partners to bring down the government and trigger early elections.<a href="#_ftn8" name="_ftnref8">[8]</a> By now, the Israeli public felt safer and, thus, more willing to take chances for peace. On May 17, 1999, Ehud Barak defeated Netanyahu in a historic landslide. At the time, it was the widest margin ever scored by an Israeli challenger over an incumbent.<a href="#_ftn9" name="_ftnref9">[9]</a>
The Israeli peace camp was jubilant. One left-wing activist said it was as if they had been freed from a foreign occupation.<a href="#_ftn10" name="_ftnref10">[10]</a> The great obstacle to peace was removed — now they could finalize a deal with the Palestinians. The cart was finally back in front of the horse.
What happened next was probably inevitable. Barak formed his pro-peace government in July; Palestinian terrorists murdered three Israelis in August.<a href="#_ftn11" name="_ftnref11">[11]</a> Through it all, Washington pressed the Israelis to continue the peace process and all the interim withdrawals that it entailed.<a href="#_ftn12" name="_ftnref12">[12]</a>
To halt the transfer of territory to the Palestinians and end the talks would “give the terrorists what they wanted.” Israel’s intelligence service issued a classified report in late 1999 predicting that Arafat would go to war because Jerusalem would be blamed for it one way or the other.<a href="#_ftn13" name="_ftnref13">[13]</a>

United States Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee presented his credentials last week to Israel’s President, Yitzchak Herzog, and immediately demonstrated why he is the right person for this vital position at this critical time. It is true that Ambassador Huckabee has visited Israel more than 100 times, in his capacity as a Baptist preacher leading his congregation and as a politician accompanying his constituents, but even more importantly, he understands Israel, its uniqueness, its role in history, its abiding friendship with the United States, and its challenges.
Huckabee declared at the reception that he returns to Israel with “absolute joy and an overwhelming sense of awe that I am in a land where G-d Himself said, ‘This is mine, and these are My people.’” Such sentiments are not often expressed in Israel and not articulated often enough by Jews but they provide the foundation for defining the rightful place of the State of Israel, its reason for existence, and even the relentless antagonism of its enemies. The land of Israel was not only the land of the Bible in ancient times; it remains the land of the Bible and awaits the fulfillment of the prophetic vision of the future. Perceived through that prism, Israel’s struggles against implacable foes take on a new light that is visible only to someone who shares Ambassador Huckabee’s perspective.
Indeed, it is hard to imagine another ambassador having visited the country to which he was posted 100 times before assuming the role. It means that Huckabee’s commitment to Israel’s security stems from his correct understanding of America’s place in the world and its capacity to foster good and promote peace and prosperity.
So, what should be on Ambassador Huckabee’s agenda, especially mindful that he is the U.S. Ambassador who should advance American interests in the region?
The Ambassador has been outspoken in recent years as to the non-viability of a Palestinian state in the land of Israel, now rendered especially incongruous and perilous in light of the Hamas massacre of October 7, the ongoing war, and the Palestinian Authority’s reluctance to condemn that war. As ambassador, he can thwart the subtle encroachment towards a Palestinian state favored by Europe and some elements in the United States by reiterating a number of steps taken during the first Trump administration. He can again shutter the U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs (OPA), located on Agron Street in the western part of Jerusalem, which was revived by the Biden administration in violation of U.S. and Israeli law and functioned as a quasi-diplomatic mission to the Palestinians. During the first Trump term, this office was closed, and its services provided out of the American embassy in Jerusalem to which it reported directly.
The OPA as currently constituted is an affront to Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem. Ambassador Huckabee, together with Israel’s Foreign Ministry, can use his good offices to limit or halt the activities of the several European consulates that are located in Jerusalem and operate as missions to the Palestinian Authority in defiance of Israeli and international law. The ambassador can persuade, and certainly the U.S. government can act, to support Israel’s closure of these hostile outposts in the heart of Jerusalem.

The Ambassador can urge the State Department to finally designate “Jerusalem, Israel” as an official place of birth on American passports. The State Department has long embraced the chimera that Jerusalem’s status as part of Israel — as Israel’s capital, no less — is somehow still subject to the outcome of negotiations. This policy should be repudiated and U.S. citizens born in Jerusalem who so desire should have their place of birth recorded as “Jerusalem, Israel.”
Ambassador Huckabee should also encourage the Trump administration to follow through on its temporary suspension of funding to UNRWA and make that suspension permanent. UNRWA, although barred by Israeli law from operating in Jerusalem, still maneuvers behind the scenes, controlling schools and in some cases economic development while advancing the interests of Hamas, with which it was integrally linked during the Gaza War. Cutting aid and resigning from UNESCO, another UN organization that is antagonistic to Israel and the United States, is also an American interest.
Additionally, for many decades under Democratic administrations, any type of residential or commercial building in Jerusalem by Jews – not by Arabs – drew immediate condemnations from the State Department. This too must end, and the ambassador is well positioned, as is President Trump, a real estate mogul, to take the lead in supporting Israel’s plans to construct new neighborhoods in Jerusalem and even to explore the expansion of Jerusalem’s municipal boundaries to encompass satellite towns on its periphery.
To his great credit, President Trump has appointed two distinguished emissaries to Israel – David Friedman in his first term and Mike Huckabee in his current term. A person of faith, such as Ambassador Huckabee, deeply understands the centrality of Israel in the narrative of world history. But this ambassador also deeply understands the Israel of the future, and the pivotal role played by the city of Jerusalem, and even more how a secure and prosperous Israel will strengthen the United States and bring the world closer to the vision of peace on earth.

Political commentator Mark Levin, who also <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114355616823261590" target="_blank" rel="noopener">serves</a> on the Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security advisory council, delivered a message from Jerusalem warning that the Trump administration must not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons.
Levin was in Israel for the two days of Yom HaZikaron (Day of Remembrance), which honors the tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers, men and women, who gave their lives for the Jewish state, and Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day), the following day.
Standing in front of the Western wall, the retaining wall behind which is the Temple Mount, the holiest place in Judaism and where the First and Second Temples stood, Levin pointed out that Jerusalem and Israel are sacred for both Jews and Christians, stating, “I’m standing here at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, the Holy Land for Jews and Christians. That wall was breached by the Romans, and the Second Temple was burned to the ground. Jews survived.”
“I want to make something very, very clear,” he declared. “The Iranian regime, Islamo-Nazi terrorist genocidal regime wants to get nuclear weapons, intercontinental ballistic missiles, shoot at America one day, destroy this: the Holy Land of Jews and Christians.”
“Let me tell you something, folks: we don’t get second chances with maniacs like this,” he warned. “So rather than them have nuclear bombs to attack us, why are we protecting their nuclear sites from our bombs? Explain that to me. So we’re going to have an EO (executive order), we’re gonna write it on paper, and they’re gonna say, ‘Y’know, we’re terrorists, we violate rules; we cut people’s throats, but we’re gonna honor the deal?’”
“No. They’re not gonna honor any deal, especially if there’s some deal where President Trump is president and then he leaves office. What about the next regime or the regime after that?” he asked rhetorically.
“This cannot be tolerated,” he asserted. “It’s bad enough that Communists have nuclear weapons, that fascists have nuclear weapons, but there’s not a terrorist country on the face of the earth that has a nuclear weapon. We must not usher it in.”
“This cannot stand,” Levin warned. “And I say that as an American that’s concerned about what happened on 9/11 and then other times that we have been attacked by these terrorists, too. They’re here. They’re here. They’re in this part of the world. Right here.”
“And now they’re vulnerable,” he stressed. “We’re gonna wait for their nuclear weapons and then wring our hands about it and say what are we gonna do about it? I don’t think so.”

The authors of a book detailing the behind-the-scenes story of Donald Trump’s decision to move the United States embassy in Israel to Jerusalem weighed in on what a future Trump administration will mean for U.S.-Israel relations.
In their book, “Because It’s Just and Right,” Farley Weiss and Leonard Grunstein chronicle the story behind one of Trump’s most significant foreign policy moves. Now, as Trump prepares to return to office in January, the two authors offer unique insights about how his second term may further redefine and strengthen U.S.-Israel relations.
“You&#8217;re going to be seeing a whole different world, a much more peaceful world now with the Trump administration,” said Weiss.
Weiss and Grunstein both predict that a key priority of the Trump administration will be to expand the Abraham Accords.
“I think you’re going to see many countries become part of the Abraham Accords and you’re going to just see a whole different dynamic,” said Weiss.
He added that the Abraham Accords will be able to broaden because the United States will refocus on countering the Islamic Republic of Iran and their proxies, including Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis.
Grunstein said that he hopes these actions will pave the way for a “Cyrus Accords” agreement — named after Cyrus the Great, who liberated the Jews from captivity and allowed them to return to Israel in 538 B.C. — between Israel and the free people of Iran.
“It&#8217;s natural for the free people of Iran to come together. And this new axis of evil that’s developed will be dismembered in effect, and it will usher in a new age of peace and prosperity in the world,” said Grunstein.
Both Grunstein and Weiss believe that more countries will be emboldened to follow Trump’s lead and move their embassies to Jerusalem. So far, Guatemala, Honduras, Kosovo, and Papua New Guinea have made the move. Argentina has indicated that it will follow suit, with some speculation that Hungary is considering the move as well.
Because It’s Just and Right, named from the remarks for former Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ), who championed the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1995. Weiss himself was instrumental in the act’s passage, after being asked by Kyl to serve as an advisor because of his credentials as the president of Young Israel of Phoenix, a prominent synagogue.
The act set a May 31, 1999 deadline for the embassy move. But Presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush, and Barack Obama used a provision in the law allowing them to sign successive six-month waivers to push off the embassy relocation. Trump also pushed the move at first.
The embassy relocation finally occurred after a debate within Trump’s inner circle. At the time, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Vice President Mike Pence, and others prevailed over opposition from Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis, according to Weiss and Grunstein.
Weiss and Grunstein recount the historical case for Jerusalem being Israel’s capital, and make the case that it is a moral action. It details the many policies, actors and political realities that afforded for the change to happen.
Weiss’s and Grunstein’s predictions are predicated on the lessons learned from Trump moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2018.
During the first administration, Trump was not surrounded by people entirely convinced of his foreign policy objectives, especially with regard to Israel. This time around, Weiss says Trump will have supporters of a strong U.S.-Israel relationship such as Rep. Elise Stefanik as the U.N. Ambassador, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in his corner — assuming their appointments are confirmed.
“President Trump did not have people ideologically with him in some of his main advisors, the Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense Tillerson, Mattis and even his national security advisor,” Weiss said. “Now, everybody is aligned with him and the policies.”

Why Trump Recognizing Jerusalem As The Capital Of Israel Is ‘Just and Right’

A coalition of prominent members of the conservative movement and Jewish community on Wednesday sent a letter to CBS News protesting the network’s insistence that its employees avoid referring to Jerusalem as being in Israel.
The letter, organized by former Vice President Mike Pence’s group Advancing American Freedom, said CBS’s instruction “defies reason” and its “decision to deny the reality of Jerusalem as being in Israel makes no sense.”
Signatories include leaders of Jewish groups such as Matthew Brooks of the Republican Jewish Coalition and Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America. Prominent non-Jewish heads of conservative organizations including Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and Penny Nancy of Concerned Women for America also signed on.
The Free Press <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/literally-fake-news-cbs-told-news-staff-to-avoid-referring-to-jerusalem-as-being-in-israel">revealed</a> that CBS’s senior director of standards and practices, Mark Memmott, sent an email to all CBS employees telling them to “be careful with some terms when we talk or write about the news” from Israel and Gaza, cautioning employees to not refer to Jerusalem as being in Israel.
“Yes, the U.S. embassy is there and the Trump administration recognized it as being Israel’s capital. But its status is disputed,” Memmott added. “The status of Jerusalem goes to the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel regards Jerusalem as its ‘eternal and undivided’ capital, while the Palestinians claim East Jerusalem—occupied by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war—as the capital of a future state.”
As the letter notes, the United States has recognized Israel as Jerusalem’s capital since 1995.
“Most recently, the Trump-Pence Administration moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in May of 2018 and reiterated that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, despite the widespread belief that it could not be done,” the letter states.
The coalition concludes by requesting a meeting with CBS officials to “understand your organization’s policy of denying that Jerusalem is in Israel.”
The letter comes amid the outlet being under fire for several controversies including its CBS Mornings host Tony Dokoupil being castigated for giving <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cbs-anchor-met-with-race-and-culture-unit-following-questioning-of-ta-nehisi-coates">tough questions </a>to woke activist Ta-Nehisi Coates. He was coached about his “tone of voice, phrasing and body language” in the interview when meeting with CBS officials, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/07/business/media/coates-dokoupil-cbs-mornings.html">reported the New York Times</a>.
The network has also been in hot water for its widely accused deceptive editing of a Vice President Kamala Harris interview on their 60 Minutes program. A poll shows bipartisan 85% of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/85-of-voters-want-cbs-news-to-release-transcript-of-kamalas-60-minutes-interview">voters want</a> the full transcript to be released.
Other prominent signatories include Joel Griffith of Young Jewish Conservatives, Duvi Honig of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, Lisa B. Nelson of the American Legislative Exchange Council, Maureen Blum of Catholics Count, Shoshana Bryen of the Jewish Policy Center, and Clifford May of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

In Latest Scandal, CBS Under Fire For Saying Jerusalem Isn’t Part Of Israel

Journalists at CBS News were warned to &#8220;be careful&#8221; when writing about the Israel-Gaza war in August, including avoiding referring to Jerusalem as Israel&#8217;s capital, The Free Press <a href="https://www.thefp.com/p/does-cbs-news-know-where-jerusalem" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> on Wednesday.
Despite Congress recognizing Jerusalem as Israel&#8217;s capital in 1995 when it passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act and former President Donald Trump moving the U.S. embassy to the city in 2018, CBS News Senior Director of Standards Mark Memmott reportedly sent an email to employees, telling them, “Do not refer to [Jerusalem] as being in Israel.”
&#8220;Yes, the U.S. embassy is there and the Trump administration recognized it as being Israel’s capital. But its status is disputed,&#8221; Memmott&#8217;s email added. &#8220;The status of Jerusalem goes to the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel regards Jerusalem as its ‘eternal and undivided’ capital, while the Palestinians claim East Jerusalem—occupied by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war—as the capital of a future state.&#8221;
The Israeli Knesset and the homes of the Israeli prime minister and president are all located in Jerusalem, The Free Press noted.
The report comes as CBS News faces backlash for editing Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217; &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; in a way that appeared to make the discussion less damaging for the Democratic nominee. The edit led to former President Donald Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-calls-for-investigation-into-60-minutes-deceptively-editing-kamala-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">calling</a> for an &#8220;investigation&#8221; into the news program saying, “I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again.”
CBS News also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cbs-anchor-met-with-race-and-culture-unit-following-questioning-of-ta-nehisi-coates" target="_blank" rel="noopener">forced</a> one of its anchors, Tony Dokoupil, to meet with the network&#8217;s &#8220;Race and Culture Unit&#8221; to discuss his tone, phrasing, and body language after he interviewed leftist author Ta-Nehisi Coates about his new anti-Israel book, according to the New York Post.

Israeli archaeologists have found a stone seal from 2,700 years ago, when the Biblical First Temple was still standing, again affirming the reality of the Biblical history of Jerusalem.
“This singular find joins the list of countless archeological discoveries in the City of David &#8211; the historic site of Biblical Jerusalem &#8211; affirming Jerusalem&#8217;s Biblical heritage,” Ze&#8217;ev Orenstein, director of International Affairs for the City of David Foundation, told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/faith-values/israeli-archaeologists-discover-unique-ancient-seal-affirming-biblical-account-jerusalem-2700-years-ago" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a> of the seal found near the southern wall of the Temple Mount, adding, “It similarly serves as yet another affirmation of the thousands-of-year-old bond rooting the Jewish people in Jerusalem &#8211; not simply as a matter of faith, but as a matter of fact.”
“The seal, made of black stone, is one of the most beautiful ever discovered in excavations in ancient Jerusalem, and is executed at the highest artistic level,” Dr. Yuval Baruch and Navot Rom of the Israel Antiquities Authority stated. The name “LeYehoʼezer ben Hoshʼayahu” is inscribed on the seal.

“Contrary to what may be commonly thought, it seems that literacy in this period was not the realm only of society’s elite,” Baruch continued. “People knew how to read and write – at least at the basic level, for the needs of commerce. The figure of a winged man in a distinct Neo-Assyrian style is unique and very rare in the glyphic styles of the late First Temple period. The influence of the Assyrian Empire, which had conquered the entire region, is clearly evident here.”
“The researchers believe that the object, upon which originally the demon image alone appeared, was worn as an amulet around the neck of a man named Hoshʼayahu, who held a senior position in the Kingdom of Judah’s administration,” VIN News<a href="https://vinnews.com/2024/08/29/first-temple-seal-bearing-biblical-name-yehoezer-ben-hoshayahu-found-near-temple-mount/"> reported</a>. “The hypothesis is that upon Hoshʼayahu’s passing, his son Yehoʼezer inherited the seal&#8230;”
The name Yehoʼezer appears in the Bible in Chronicles I 12:7 in its abbreviated form, Yoʼezer, named as a warrior for King David before he was king and was in hiding.
“Also, in the book of Yirmiyahu (43:2), describing the events of this very period, a person is mentioned with a parallel name, Azariah ben Hoshʼaya. The two parts of his first name are written in reverse order to the seal owner’s name, and his second name is the same, appearing in its abbreviated form. This writing form in the text fits the name on the newly discovered seal and it is thus appropriate for this time period,” VIN News <a href="https://vinnews.com/2024/08/29/first-temple-seal-bearing-biblical-name-yehoezer-ben-hoshayahu-found-near-temple-mount/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a>.
Palestinians often insist that the Jewish claim of the Biblical Temples on the Temple Mount is false; in June 2022, the prime minister of the Palestinian National Authority, Mohammed Shtayyeh, said that the Jews of Israel have never proven that the Biblical Temples stood in Jerusalem.
Yet as far back as 1924, even the Supreme Muslim Council, headed by the infamous Jew-hater Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Hajj Amin Aa-Husseini, published a guide to the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism and the site of the Biblical Temples of Israel, which admitted of the Temple Mount, “Its identity of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute.”
In February 2018, archaeologists announced that they found physical evidence corroborating the existence of the Biblical prophet Isaiah.
Writing in <a href="https://www.baslibrary.org/biblical-archaeology-review/44/2/7" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biblical Archaeology Review</a>, Eilat Mazar, who headed the dig at which the discovery was found, described the evidence. According to <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/did-archaeologists-just-prove-the-existence-of-prophet-isaiah?source=twitter&amp;via=mobile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Beast</a>, Mazar stated that it was “a small piece of clay (an impression left by a seal), a mere 0.4 inches long, which appears to bear the inscription ‘Isaiah the prophet.’”

The discovery came as part of the excavations at the Ophel excavation in Jerusalem, which had <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/does-this-tiny-piece-of-clay-mean-the-bible-is-true" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already yielded</a> a 2,700-year-old clay seal impression that had belonged to the governor of Jerusalem, thus proving that the Jewish people had an administrative presence almost three thousand years ago and that Biblical administrative structures were genuine.
Mazar wrote that the new find, one of the many clay seal impressions known as bullae found at the site, was near the bullae <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/archaeologist-says-the-bibles-king-hezekiah-is-real" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already discovered</a> to have a mark from a seal of the Biblical King Hezekiah. He noted, “alongside the bullae of Hezekiah … [were] 22 additional bullae … among these is the bulla of ‘Yesha‘yah[u] Nvy[?].’” That is Hebrew for Isaiah the Prophet.
According to the Book of Isaiah, the prophet lived from the 8th century B.C. to the 7th century B.C. during the reign of King Hezekiah, who was regarded as the greatest king the Jewish people had except for King David.
In April 2019, The Daily Wire <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/another-fantastic-discovery-israel-evidence-famed-hank-berrien/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>:

Ben Shapiro: Here you start to see the beginnings of the age of a constitutional monarchy. There are even hints of this in Deuteronomy. One of the laws in Deuteronomy is that the king is supposed to carry around his own Sefer Torah. He&#8217;s subject to the law. The king is not above the law. Judaism is very clear about that and so is Christianity. Henceforth, the idea of limitations on absolute government are part and parcel of the whole system.
Jordan B. Peterson: One of the things that, to me, lends historical credence to those sorts of stories is that it does not exactly show David in a positive light. So what kind of propaganda is that exactly?

Shapiro: That is definitely one of the things in favor of biblical narrative is that when you show all the warts, it suggests that you&#8217;re not propagandizing.
Peterson: Yes, definitely. And that happens a lot.
Shapiro: That&#8217;s the entire Exodus story. The idea is that you have an absolute monarch in Pharaoh, and he is a god, so everything he says goes. Then people are brought forth from slavery to freedom, but the freedom requires subjugation to God. You&#8217;re still a servant, but you&#8217;re not a servant of a person anymore. Now, you&#8217;re a servant of an ideal. You&#8217;re a servant of a higher power. And that means inherently limiting the power of human beings.
Shapiro: This is like a massive cistern.
Ze’ev Orenstein (Director of International Affairs): So, you see here, it&#8217;s an ancient cistern. You see the plaster, here, on that wall that would keep the water in.
Peterson: So people would have carved this out of the rock?

Orenstein: Sure. One of the challenges that Israel still has is water scarcity. And so here&#8217;s how you would store water. Now, keep in mind, if we are coming from next to the palace, this is not a private person’s cistern. This, you can see, is a massive area. This is the cistern that archeologists believe could have been the cistern where Jeremiah was thrown into a pit. Jeremiah was perceived at that time to be a traitor. He had said that if the people don&#8217;t change their ways, Jerusalem is going to be destroyed. But he was a prophet of doom. Nobody wanted to hear what he had to say, and the advisors of King Zedekiah got tired of hearing this guy go around calling for the surrender of the city, so they threw him down into a pit. Now, can I tell you for sure Jeremiah is thrown into this pit? I can&#8217;t tell you that, and if not this one, it was one near here like this one.
Peterson: All pits are the same, if you’re thrown into them.

Orenstein: Here, they say, what&#8217;s the plan? He&#8217;s going to drown, right? It’s a cistern. But the Bible makes it clear: There&#8217;s no water; there&#8217;s mud. And he&#8217;s sinking into the mud until a servant to the king goes before Zedekiah, and he says, “You might not like what Jeremiah is saying, but it’s not him who’s saying it. He’s a prophet. He&#8217;s a man of God. The words are God&#8217;s words. You can&#8217;t do this to Jeremiah.” And the king says, “All right, you&#8217;re right. Go take 30 people with you and pull Jeremiah up out of the pit.” And then it goes on to say how he keeps true to his message about what&#8217;s going to happen to Jerusalem. But this is where, back to the last days of Jerusalem before the Babylonians destroyed it, you have Jeremiah here sinking into the mud, hearing the impending destruction above. This is where it’s playing out. We take for granted today the ability to be critical of our leadership, to hold our leaders accountable. But going back thousands of years, there was a position in biblical times, that of the prophet, whose role was to go to the highest levels of society and to hold those leaders accountable and let them know that there are consequences for falling short. There are consequences for making poor decisions, unethical decisions.

Shapiro: Both the Judaic side of government and the Greek side of government are predicated on the idea that there are limitations to what government can do. You can make the case that the biblically based system is more of a limited monarchy, where the powers of the king are fairly limited, but the kingship is not derived from the people. And the Greek system is that authority is derived from the people and is almost unlimited. When Aristotle talks about how there are three types of governments and all have the capacity to devolve into tyranny, that&#8217;s what he&#8217;s talking about. You can have a benevolent monarch, which is more like the biblical system, but even the Bible is pretty divided over whether kings are good or necessary. Samuel gives a whole speech before the appointment of King Saul, saying, “You guys are really going to hate this king thing. You probably shouldn&#8217;t do it.” And the people say, “Well, no. We want it anyway.” And God says, “Ok, fine. If they want it, they&#8217;re going to get it.”

Milei <a href="https://www.jewishpress.com/news/israel/jerusalem/argentinas-president-arrives-in-israel-reiterates-vow-to-move-embassy-to-jerusalem/2024/02/06/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrived in Israel</a> with Argentina’s Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, the Secretary General of the Presidency Karina Elizabeth Milei, and Rabbi Axel Wahnish, whom he has chosen to be Argentina’s Ambassador to Israel.
In late November, Milei arrived in the United States, where before he even met with U.S. officials or the International Monetary Fund, he went straight to the grave of the late Chabad-Lubavitch leader Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson to pay his respects. Prior to leaving Argentina, Milei had joined Rabbi David Pinto Shlita — who gave him and his mother a blessing — in Buenos Aires for the Havdalah ceremony marking the end of the Jewish Sabbath.
“I celebrate this beautiful country, Argentina, and I ask God to protect the Argentine Nation so that it returns to what it was before. I am sure that with God&#8217;s help you will help the Nation and, with the people of Argentina, you will achieve it,” Pinto Shilta <a href="https://www.lanacion.com.ar/politica/javier-milei-asistio-a-una-ceremonia-judia-y-recibio-la-bendicion-de-un-reconocido-rabino-nid26112023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Milei, who responded, &#8220;Thank you, thank you, Rabbi.” The rabbi told Milei’s sister, “We pray to God to protect him in everything he needs.”
Argentina has the largest Jewish population in South America, roughly 220,000 people.
Milei visited Schneerson’s grave in July, where he visited the tomb of the Lubavitch rabbi and requested a blessing before the election that took place earlier this week. Schneerson, the leader of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, was a tireless pioneer for Jewish outreach; there are currently over 1,400 Chabad-Lubavitch <a href="https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/rabbi-menachem-mendel-schneerson-jewish-virtual-library" target="_blank" rel="noopener">institutions</a> in 35 countries on six continents.
