Actor and former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA) quickly terminated CNN anchor Jake Tapper&#8217;s argument that the Republican Party was largely responsible for gerrymandered congressional maps all across the United States.
Schwarzenegger, who served as California&#8217;s governor from 2003-2011, joined Tapper on Sunday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; and argued that &#8220;extreme gerrymandering&#8221; had been happening for decades and would only end up hurting the American people.

&#8220;In New Mexico, 45% of the people voted for Trump and vote Republican, and zero is sent to the House, zero representatives from the Republican Party,&#8221; the &#8220;Terminator&#8221; actor continued. &#8220;So there&#8217;s gerrymandering — crazy gerrymandering — going on all over the country, and we wanted to try to stop it in California, and we did stop it in California.&#8221;
This is not the first time Schwarzenegger has vocally opposed gerrymandering — regardless of which party was redrawing the maps. In 2019, he joined with Governor Larry Hogan (R-MD) <a href="https://schwarzenegger.usc.edu/institute_in_action/governor-arnold-schwarzenegger-took-his-mission-to-terminate-gerrymandering-to-dc/">in opposition</a> to a New Democrat-favored map in Maryland and a Republican-favored map in North Carolina.
&#8220;It is a national scandal with what is going on with the gerrymandering and the way our politicians draw the district lines. Both parties are doing it. Democrats are gerrymandering, Republicans are gerrymandering. It is a real disservice to the people. It is not a representative government, but a mis-representative government,&#8221; he said at the time.

Democrats have repeatedly insisted that they did not shut the government down over a demand for healthcare for illegal aliens, and several of them have expressed their displeasure at the media outlets willing to call them out on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/yes-democrats-want-to-give-illegals-free-healthcare-here-are-the-facts">that lie</a>.
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) got testy with &#8220;CBS Mornings&#8221; host Tony Dokoupil on Thursday, claiming that it wasn&#8217;t &#8220;strictly true&#8221; when he challenged her directly on the issue.
&#8220;So, Senator, you know, Republicans say what you’re really fighting for is taxpayer dollars for, as they put it, illegal aliens. I know that’s not strictly true but there is a provision –&#8221; Dokoupil began.
&#8220;Oh, excuse me, not strictly true,&#8221; Warren&#8217;s protest was immediate.
&#8220;It’s not directly true, but –&#8221; Dokoupil tried again.
&#8220;It is a flat-out lie. It is a flat-out lie,&#8221; Warren insisted. &#8220;There is nothing in Medicaid, nothing in Medicare, that permits one undocumented immigrant to get one dollar of assistance. None.&#8221;
&#8220;Sorry, in the Democratic counteroffer the proposal for funding, there is a restoration of Medicaid benefits for certain noncitizens that had been taken away in the &#8216;Big, Beautiful Bill,&#8217; as Republicans put it,&#8221; Dokoupil pushed back.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) attempted to claim that she&#8217;d never heard anyone in her party calling for providing healthcare for illegals — and Fox News host Lawrence Jones responded with video evidence of members of her party doing exactly that.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” with host Jake Tapper on Sunday and defended the recent indictment of former FBI head James Comey.
Tapper pressed Johnson on the indictment, asking if it was proper for a president “to publicly or privately instruct their Attorney General to prosecute a political opponent,” but Johnson pushed back.
“As a constitutional attorney and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, do you believe it&#8217;s acceptable for any president to publicly or privately instruct their attorney general to prosecute a political opponent and go as far as firing a U.S. attorney if they don’t bring charges because they don’t think the case is strong enough?” Tapper asked.
Johnson rebutted Tapper, noting that it wasn’t the president who indicted Comey, but a grand jury of his peers.
“I’m glad you brought up the principle, that is exactly what’s at issue here. James Comey lied to Congress. He took an oath. He said things to Congress that were simply not true. It’s called perjury. A grand jury … a non-partisan, non-biased grand jury that was assembled looked at the charges and they agreed. They voted to bring an indictment of James Comey &#8212; not President Trump, not the DOJ, but a grand jury,” Johnson said. “That’s how our system works. It’s a very important principle for us to apply that everybody has to subscribe to the law — even a former FBI director. And he has lots to answer for.”
Johnson added that there were “many things” over which Comey could have been indicted, but the statutes of limitations ran out.

Comey’s indictment comes just days ahead of a major deadline: September 30, when the statute of limitations was set to expire on claims made by Comey during the 2020 hearing.
Comey is the first former senior administration official to be indicted in connection with the Russian collusion conspiracy and the FBI investigation into false ties between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) took to X to complain about the redistricting fight currently embroiling the Texas State House, claiming that Texas Republicans were attempting to use a newly redrawn map to &#8220;rig&#8221; the 2026 midterm election.
As the Massachusetts-based far-left Squad member complained about what she said was a &#8220;cowardly, undemocratic power grab,&#8221; critics quickly pointed out that her own district is the result of an obviously gerrymandered map created by the Democrats who have controlled her state&#8217;s legislature for more than two decades.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) picked up on the terminology, using Obama&#8217;s home state of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-bad-look-even-chuck-todd-gets-irony-of-texas-dems-fleeing-to-illinois-to-protest-redistricting">Illinois</a> as an example and saying that Democrats used a different word for &#8220;gerrymandering&#8221; when the state engaging in it happened to be controlled by Democrats: &#8220;democracy.&#8221;

A number of Texas Democrats <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/texas-dems-cant-win-redistricting-fight-so-they-bravely-turn-tail-and-flee-the-state">broke quorum</a> several days earlier, bringing the legislative special session to a halt by fleeing to Illinois because they did not have the votes to stop the redistricting plan by legitimate means. In their absence, both Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) and Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-TX) have threatened to take legal action, saying that they will petition a judge to declare the seats vacant if the AWOL Democrats do not return to finish the special session by Friday.
Texas Democrats attempted a similar stunt in 2021 as an effort to block certain provisions of a voting rights bill, and Abbott threatened at the time to withhold their pay.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi&#8217;s (D-CA) indignant reaction to a recent question from CNN&#8217;s Jake Tapper gave away the game, revealing just how rare an occasion it is for a member of her party to be held to account by almost anyone in media.
Pelosi&#8217;s name had come up multiple times during spirited debate in the Senate over a bill — presented by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) — that would bar members of Congress from owning stock. Tapper pressed Pelosi on the issue, using a comment from President Donald Trump to kick off the conversation.

Tapper pushed back, saying that he had only &#8220;wanted to give you a chance just to respond. He accused you of insider trading, what&#8217;s your response to that?&#8221;
&#8220;That&#8217;s ridiculous,&#8221; Pelosi laughed. &#8220;In fact, I very much support the — stop the trading of members of Congress, not that I think anybody&#8217;s doing anything wrong, if they are, they are prosecuted and they go to jail. But because of the confidence it instills in the American people, don&#8217;t worry about this. But I have no concern about the obvious investments that have been made over time, I&#8217;m not into it, my husband is, but it isn&#8217;t anything to do with anything insider.&#8221;
Pelosi then attempted to make the conversation about President Donald Trump, suggesting that he was only shining a spotlight on her to deflect from something he must have done.
&#8220;The president has his own exposure, so he&#8217;s always projecting,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;He&#8217;s always projecting, and let&#8217;s not give him any more time on that, please. We&#8217;re going forward here.&#8221;
She then pivoted again to claim that the man who entered her San Francisco home and attacked her husband had been &#8220;inspired by [Trump]&#8221; before suggesting that it would be better if they could just go back to talking about Medicaid.
Trump, as he gave remarks from the White House on Wednesday, called for Pelosi to be investigated and claimed, &#8220;Nancy Pelosi became rich by having insider information &#8230; I think that&#8217;s disgraceful &#8230; She has the highest return of practically anybody in the history of Wall Street.&#8221;

As the U.S. weighs intervention in Iran, President Trump is warning the Ayatollah that his patience is wearing thin. The fighting is showing no signs of slowing down as Israel targets Iran’s nuclear and military facilities and Iran targets whatever they can hit, including civilian populations.
On Tuesday, Israel said it killed Ali Shadmani, Iran’s senior military commander. Shadmani had only been in the position for three days after replacing his predecessor, who was killed in a separate strike Friday. The Israelis also launched successful strikes on the Natanz enrichment facility — a crucial part of Iran’s nuclear program. We’re still awaiting a full assessment of the damage, but one Israeli official told the Wall Street Journal the facility may have imploded.
Iran claims it struck an Israeli military intelligence center in Tel Aviv, though Israel says most of the strikes have targeted civilian areas. Elsewhere, Iranian missiles hit the Weizmann Institute of Science — Israeli officials say years&#8217; worth of medical and scientific research was destroyed in the strike.
Donald Trump is still weighing his options and seriously considering joining the war. The president convened his national security team for a Situation Room meeting Tuesday afternoon.
Just before that meeting took place, Trump posted on <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114699514822488706">Truth Social</a>, “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’”
That use of the word “we” turned heads in Washington. While the White House says the president was referring to American weapons and not Americans directly, it’s quite the departure from a few days ago when the president said America was playing no role in the conflict.
The president also <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114699610769479275">wrote</a> on Tuesday, “We know exactly where the so-called &#8216;Supreme Leader&#8217; [of Iran] is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there &#8211; We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing on Wednesday as part of its investigation into what was going on behind the scenes during Biden’s presidency. Among the questions they’re asking: who was really running the country amid the president’s cognitive decline – and were media outlets colluding to cover it up?
“Everybody could see the clear decline of Joe Biden,” said Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO). “The media tried to dismiss it as &#8216;cheap fakes.&#8217; There was sort of one excuse after another. The Democrats were saying he&#8217;s sharper than he&#8217;s ever been, and they had the left-wing media parroting those talking points, too. And it just is a really dangerous kind of road to go down, to have the one person that&#8217;s elected by the entire country be mentally incompetent. … Personally, I think this scandal is bigger than Watergate, but everybody&#8217;s very eager to sweep it under the rug. And I just don&#8217;t think the American people should accept that.”
In February 2024, Special Counsel Robert Hur declined to prosecute President Biden for mishandling of classified documents, saying it would be difficult to convict him because “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” That report was widely decried at the time, but more recently, whistleblowers from the Biden White House have come forward with their own stories about the former president’s mental decline and the concerted effort to hide it from the American public – notably in interviews with CNN’s Jake Tapper cited in &#8220;Original Sin: President Biden&#8217;s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,&#8221; which reignited the controversy.
Schmitt told The Daily Wire that the use of the president’s autopen would be a key subject of the hearing on Wednesday – there are claims that many of the executive orders issued by the Biden administration might have been signed by staffers without his knowledge, although Biden has publicly denied those accusations.

Former President Joe Biden told reporters on Friday that he could &#8220;beat the hell outta both of them,&#8221; referencing CNN anchor Jake Tapper and journalist Alex Thompson, who co-authored a book detailing Biden&#8217;s cognitive decline and the corresponding White House cover-up.
&#8220;There&#8217;s also been a lot of discussion recently about your mental and physical capabilities while you were in office,&#8221; a reporter said to Biden at a public event in Delaware, <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2025/05/30/biden_to_cnn_prognosis_is_good_i_cant_walk_but_i_can_beat_the_hell_out_of_jake_tapper.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to RealClearPolitics.
&#8220;You can see that I&#8217;m mentally incompetent and I can&#8217;t walk, and I can beat the hell out of both of them,&#8221; Biden responded, seeming to reference the authors.
Though Tapper details Biden&#8217;s cognitive decline in his new book, the anchor has been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jake-tapper-flails-when-confronted-with-his-role-in-biden-cover-up" target="_blank" rel="noopener">strongly criticized</a> by the Right for refusing to acknowledge Biden&#8217;s very apparent mental troubles during his presidency.
At the same event, another reporter followed up on the health reports and asked Biden about the 2024 election. &#8220;Do you want to reply to any of those reports, and also to the fact that there are some Democrats who are now questioning whether you should have run for reelection in the first place?&#8221;
&#8220;Why didn&#8217;t they run against me then?&#8221; the former president challenged. &#8220;Because I&#8217;d have beaten them.&#8221;
Biden added that he doesn&#8217;t have &#8220;any regrets&#8221; about staying in the presidential race for as long as he did.
&#8220;Look, there&#8217;s a lot going on, and I think we&#8217;re in a really difficult moment—not only in American history, but in world history,&#8221; Biden continued. &#8220;I think we&#8217;re in one of those inflection points in history where the decisions we make in the next little bit are going to determine what things look like for the next 20 years. The former president also briefly discussed his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/why-a-top-cancer-doctor-says-bidens-diagnosis-story-doesnt-add-up" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cancer diagnosis</a>, which was made public earlier this month.

Detailing his treatment, Biden added, &#8220;It&#8217;s all a matter of taking a pill, one particular pill, for the next six weeks, and then another one. And the expectation is we&#8217;re going to be able to beat this. It&#8217;s not in any organ. My bones are strong. It hasn&#8217;t penetrated. So I&#8217;m feeling good.&#8221;

Biden Says He Can ‘Beat The Hell Outta’ Jake Tapper, Jokes He’s ‘Mentally Incompetent’

Former Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump said on Tuesday that she was grateful for journalist Jake Tapper apologizing to her months after a heated debate over former President Joe Biden&#8217;s mental acuity, but added that the CNN host&#8217;s change of heart &#8220;feels a little bit too late.&#8221;
Following the release of his book, &#8220;Original Sin,&#8221; which documents the cover-up of Biden&#8217;s decline in the White House, Tapper said he apologized to Trump for berating her after she pointed out Biden&#8217;s mental struggles during an interview in October 2020. Trump, the president&#8217;s daughter-in-law, confirmed that Tapper called her &#8220;about two months ago&#8221; to promise that he would go on TV to apologize. Trump said she appreciated &#8220;that he did keep his word.&#8221;
&#8220;He said, &#8216;I have this book coming out, and I know everybody is saying that I should apologize to you. I plan, whenever the book comes out, to go on TV and I will say you were right and I was wrong.&#8217; And I guess to Jake&#8217;s credit, he did that,&#8221; Trump <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/lara-trump-reveals-story-behind-cnn-anchor-jake-tappers-a-little-bit-too-late-apology" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
&#8220;I think the overarching thing here is that the damage is done,&#8221; she added. &#8220;We were so close to something so dangerous happening to this country. &#8230; And Jake Tapper saying that this is like a Watergate-level type of situation, now that he played a role in it, it feels a little bit too late to me. I do appreciate that he did keep his word, though, and has come out and said that I was right.&#8221;
During the October 2020 interview, which took place just weeks before the presidential election between Biden and Trump, Tapper pushed back against Mrs. Trump for questioning Biden&#8217;s mental acuity, arguing that Trump was exploiting Biden&#8217;s stutter.
&#8220;I think what we see on stage, Jake, is very clearly a cognitive decline,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;Ok &#8230; I think that you were mocking his stutter. And I think that you have absolutely no standing to diagnose somebody&#8217;s cognitive decline,&#8221; Tapper replied.

While on a media tour to promote his book earlier this month, Tapper <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6wrn09T30I" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> British TV host Piers Morgan, &#8220;Knowing what we know now, and looking back on that interview, which I feel tremendous humility about, she [Lara Trump] was right, and I was wrong.&#8221;
&#8220;I did not see, in the moments he was having, I did not see that as cognitive decline,&#8221; he added.
Tapper has been blasted for publishing a book about Biden&#8217;s mental decline — an issue conservatives had been raising for years — after the former president left office.
&#8220;No matter how much he wants to come out now and say, &#8216;You know what, we&#8217;re going to start calling the shots like we see them actually now.&#8217; It&#8217;s too late,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;You can&#8217;t do this time and time again to people and continue to lie to people in the way they did and think that you&#8217;re going to get any different result. The news media and the Democrats — but I repeat myself — are reeling after the release of Jake Tapper’s new book, “Oh My God, I Lied About Everything!” The book is the result of Tapper’s eight-month investigation into Jake Tapper during which Tapper discovered that almost every word out of Tapper’s mouth has been entirely untrue.
Tapper says the break in his investigation came after he managed to isolate Tapper in an interrogation room under a bright light where he continually slapped him, shouting “Confess, you two-faced bastard,” until Tapper broke under the brutal questioning and confessed to Tapper that he’d been deceiving the public for years.
In a searching interview on his CNN Show, “Jake Tapper Investigates,” Jake Tapper told Jake Tapper, “I was absolutely shocked at the depth of my duplicity. I lied about Trump’s collusion with the Russians, I lied about Trump saying there were good people among the white supremacists. You know that time I said that George Floyd’s death indicated widespread racism among police? Total BS! Oh, and how about my panic-mongering during the pandemic unleashed by China with funding from Fauci? So help me, a word of truth in my mouth would die of loneliness. Finally — get this — I actually had the gall to publish a book on the cover-up of Joe Biden’s dementia in which I pretended to take some responsibility for not covering the story. Not covering the story? I covered the hell out of it! The idea that those lies were any different than all the other lies I told — that was the biggest lie of all!”
As Tapper’s book rose on fiction bestseller lists, other journalists and Democrats — but I repeat repeating myself — also began to rake in profits by getting to the bottom of the lies they’d been telling for years.

All those women who said Bill Clinton was chasing after them with his wing-wang hanging out? The only one lying was me when I said they were lying. Then, when ABC hired me after all that lying, I figured they just wanted me to keep on lying, so I did. Like, remember how we spiked Amy Robach’s Jeffrey Epstein story during Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and I said I had nothing to do with the decision? Well, I did a deep dive into that incident, let me tell you, and it turned out it was me all along.”
At CBS, News President Wendy McMahon resigned after “60 Minutes” was caught editing an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris so that a learned disquisition on Middle East politics by an AI Kamala voice was dubbed over Harris’s original statement which consisted of a series of random words interrupted by loud cackling laughter. Miss McMahon said that after finding out how dishonest she was, she could no longer work with herself.

Bob Woodward has published a new 4,000-page book called &#8220;Bull,&#8221; in which Bob Woodward’s lies are exposed by an anonymous source called Deep Bob. Meeting in a shadowy underground garage, Deep Bob tells Woodward the so-called Watergate scandal was just a lot of minor mischief blown out of proportion to punish Nixon for being right about all the communists in the government. In another interview last week, former President John F. Kennedy told Woodward, “Oh, sure, my behavior was much worse than Nixon’s and no one covered that at all. We’ve also learned that during the 2024 campaign, Biden’s team spent millions of dollars organizing a staged town hall event, with hand-picked attendees asking friendly, pre-written questions. The plan was for clips of that orchestrated event to be used in TV ads. But according to reporting in the new book, the 90-minute event was a disaster, with Biden unable to string together coherent answers. As one staffer put it, “the man could not speak.” It was so bad that the campaign never aired any footage, blaming poor lighting instead of the president’s mental capabilities. That story and countless others have drawn outrage from folks asking just how many people were involved in concealing Biden’s cognitive decline.
Much of that outrage has been directed at the former president’s inner circle, but people are also asking questions about the media’s role. For years, many of the country’s most prominent outlets and news anchors parroted White House talking points that President Biden was totally fit for office and locked in behind closed doors. For example, just to pick a name out of the hat, in a 2020 interview with Lara Trump, Tapper himself was <a href="https://x.com/LaraLeaTrump/status/1806420367415914571">so incensed</a> by claims that then-candidate Biden was showing signs of cognitive decline that he ended the interview early. Tapper has since admitted that conservatives were right all along for questioning Biden’s mental fitness.
But plenty of people don’t buy the excuse that the legacy media were totally in the dark about Biden’s mental and physical decline and believe journalists are only changing their tune now because they’re trying to save their credibility.
“Now that Joe Biden has no power anymore and can&#8217;t hurt them, now that he is a cancer-ridden old senile man, they are lining up to kick him,” author and journalist Batya Ungar-Sargon told The Daily Wire. “Acting like somehow they deserve credit for speaking truth to power now that he no longer has any more power.&#8221;

Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan spoke with Homan on Wednesday.  He made a case for why ICE needs more money to continue to secure the border, increase deportations, and clean up sanctuary cities.
“We&#8217;ve made a lot of progress on the border, but we want to keep it permanent,” Homan told The Daily Wire. “We need the money, not just for the border, but interior enforcement operations… ICE is in the hole right now. They got about 50,000 people in beds. We&#8217;re funded for 34,000. Ice is already in the hole, so if we want to continue this massive deportation operation, we need more money.”
Homan said that if Congress authorizes the spending, ICE will prioritize getting more teams on the streets and more bed space for detainees, as well as more frequent flights to remove illegal aliens from the United States more quickly.
“There&#8217;s no downside on a secure border and there&#8217;s no downside in less trafficking of women and children. There&#8217;s no downside in less fentanyl, there&#8217;s no downside in less people on terrorist watch list coming across, there&#8217;s no downside in taking billions of dollars away from the cartels. There&#8217;s no downside in removing public safety threats and national security threats from this country. We should all be on the same page. So step up, get this done. Give us the money we need so we can keep President Trump&#8217;s promise to American people alive.”

<h2>Supreme Court Sides With Maine Republican, Restores Voting Rights</h2>

Topline:  The U.S. Supreme Court has sided with a Maine Republican after Democrats punished her for drawing attention to controversial transgender policies in the state.
Maine state Rep. Laurel Libby was censured by Democrats back in February in a party-line vote over a post she published on Facebook that highlighted a male athlete winning a state championship in the girls’ high school pole vault competition. In Maine, males who identify as transgender are allowed to participate in female sports – which, according to all polling, is not a policy supported by the American people, even in a liberal state like Maine.
“The Democrat majority in the Maine House voted to censure me and at the same time to strip my constituents of their voice and their vote,” Libby told The Daily Wire. “Following that, the censure vote is when Speaker Ryan Fecto declared that until I apologize, I would not be allowed to speak or vote on the floor.”
Libby refused to take down her Facebook post and would not apologize. For that, she’s been stripped of her right to vote and speak on the House floor for months. Libby told The Daily Wire she knew &#8220;immediately&#8221; that she had to take legal action to challenge her punishment. She lost at the district and appeals court levels, before she appealed to the Supreme Court in April. The court sided with Libby and ruled 7-2 that she can vote while her legal battle is playing out. There were only two dissents, from liberal justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor. 
The Trump administration is still fighting the state’s Democratic Gov. Janet Mills over her decision to defy President Donald Trump&#8217;s executive order barring males from girls&#8217; spaces and sports. The feds have frozen federal funding for the state, and last month, Attorney General Pam Bondi <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bondi-unleashes-on-maine-announces-new-lawsuit-against-state-for-violating-title-ix">announced a civil lawsuit</a> against Maine’s Department of Education.

That health system was a <a href="https://www.opensecrets.org/officeholders/janet-t-mills/contributors?cycle=2022&amp;id=9941379">top donor</a> to Mills’ 2022 gubernatorial run and offers irreversible “procedures” for gender-confused minors, such as puberty blockers, and what they call “gender affirming hormone therapy,” and “menstrual suppression.”

Dr. Stephen Quay does not believe President Joe Biden was only just diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, telling The Daily Wire, &#8220;there is a mismatch between the standard of care [Biden] should have been getting, and what we&#8217;re hearing about now.&#8221;
Quay, a University of Michigan-educated doctor, author, and <a href="https://drquay.com/">renowned scientist</a>, spoke to The Daily Wire just days after the former president&#8217;s office announced that he had been diagnosed with an &#8220;aggressive form&#8221; of prostate cancer that had already metastasized to his bones. He said he&#8217;s received death threats since he began speaking out about Biden&#8217;s diagnosis, calling the experience &#8220;quite bizarre.&#8221;
But Quay made it clear that he is simply offering thoughts &#8220;based on peer-reviewed papers that address large populations.&#8221; To that end, he notes that 85 to 90% of all cases, the disease progression from localized in the prostate to advanced metastatic disease is a process that plays out &#8220;over the course of five to seven years.&#8221;
Quay made it clear that while a rapid onset of advanced disease was certainly possible, that was only the case in perhaps one or two percent of patients. He also noted the fact that Biden&#8217;s cancer is &#8220;hormone sensitive&#8221; could potentially explain the former president&#8217;s physical and cognitive decline.
&#8220;The standard treatment would be to deprive the body of testosterone through <a href="https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/prostate-cancer/treating/hormone-therapy.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Androgen Deprivation Therapy,&#8221;</a> Quay said. For a man of Biden&#8217;s age, such a precipitous drop in testosterone could lead patients to lose muscle tone and become noticeably weaker.
&#8220;Out of 100 men, nearly 40% will have a serious fall within six to 12 months of ADT treatment,&#8221; he said, adding that another common side effect had to do with patients seeing cognitive issues.
&#8220;Some of that will be self-reported, where they just notice that maybe they&#8217;re not as sharp as they have been in the past,&#8221; Quay said, also noting that the people around the patient might also notice cognitive decline even when the patient himself did not.
While Quay said that he had no knowledge of whether Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doctors-raise-questions-about-timing-of-biden-cancer-diagnosis-unbelievable-this-was-missed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">knew of his diagnosis</a> prior to his office&#8217;s public announcement, he said that it was possible that the former president&#8217;s noticeably awkward gait and obvious cognitive issues were side effects of the standard treatment for his cancer.
If that were the case, he added, he could understand why someone in Biden&#8217;s position might have made a &#8220;calculated decision&#8221; not to release the information to the public.
&#8220;He might have not had the cognitive issues when he decided to go ahead with a campaign,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s true that he probably couldn’t be elected with cancer or cognitive issues, so at some point, he would have to make a calculated decision whether or not to tell people. But to speak to whether or not that was the right course of action, I stop being a doctor with an opinion and start being a voter with an opinion — and that’s fine as long as I can keep them compartmentalized.&#8221;
A Biden spokesman has said that <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/joe-biden-psa-screening-2014-prostate-cancer-rcna208120" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nothing was hidden</a> from the public and that the former president did not receive his prostate cancer diagnosis until last Friday. The spokesman also said Biden&#8217;s last known prostate cancer screening — called a Prostate Specific Antigen test — was in 2014.
Quay discussed the efficacy of PSAs in an X post shortly after Biden&#8217;s diagnosis was made public.
&#8220;Prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases,&#8221; he wrote.
&#8220;The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth. For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic. Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025. It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed.&#8221;

&#8220;If you can believe what they say, that it is hormone sensitive, that means that it would be detectable in PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) levels,&#8221; he said, noting that PSA testing is not always recommended after age 69, but that for someone in Biden&#8217;s position it seemed unwise not to go ahead with the test.
