A Chinese billionaire who has reportedly fathered more than 100 children through American surrogates is raising more concern about the limits of America’s birthright citizenship policy, and whether U.S. citizenship should effectively be purchased by way of a surrogate.
CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/projects/2026/surrogacy-abuse/">reported</a> that a woman identified as “Judy” became a surrogate after seeing an Instagram advertisement promising $120,000. The single mother, who has a 7-year-old daughter, said she hoped the money would allow her to get a home of her own and “build a better life” for her family.
However, after she signed with surrogacy agency Patriot Conceptions, she learned that the intended father was a single man who had already hired a large number of surrogates. “I can’t be exact, but I know it was a large number,” she told CBS. “That’s a lot of kids at one time.”
The woman also said she&#8217;s repeatedly asked to meet Xu, at least five times now, and has been denied the request each time. “It leaves me wondering: do I even have a right to know?” Judy asked.
Leaked documents obtained by CBS identified the father as Xu Bo, a Chinese national and wealthy video game executive. Xu has been linked to more than 100 children born through U.S. surrogates, and a former business partner has claimed Xu has as many as 300 children.
Adding fuel to the shocking report, Xu recently posted a photograph on social media showing more than 100 young children seated in rows. Days later, he reportedly said in Chinese that he believes “more children bring more blessings” and that he hopes his words and actions will benefit “the long-term development of the Chinese nation.”
The children, since born on United States soil, are all citizens of America. Under the U.S. Supreme Court&#8217;s June interpretation of the 14th Amendment, virtually every child born on American soil is a U.S. citizen regardless of the parents’ immigration status, with narrow exceptions.
Critics say Xu is effectively purchasing U.S. citizenship by way of renting women&#8217;s bodies. He is drawing attention to the recent 14th Amendment interpretation. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), for example, reacted to the reports about the Chinese national by writing, &#8220;And some claim that this is what the 14th Amendment requires. Absurd!”
Florida lawmakers have notably moved to restrict surrogacy arrangements involving citizens or residents of countries deemed “countries of concern,” including China.

Kelly Osbourne is not pleased that her mother, Sharon Osbourne, holds common-sense opinions about gender and immigration.
The 41-year-old star was asked to comment on her mom’s “far-Right” views while walking the red carpet at an event earlier this week. 
“I don’t agree,” Kelly told a reporter from Attitude Magazine, per <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/09/10/celebrity-news/sad-kelly-osbourne-speaks-out-against-mom-sharons-conservative-views-its-hard/">Page Six</a>. “I don’t agree with my mum, no. That’s one thing that I can say that I don’t agree with her on.”
“It’s hard because I love my mum. … It’s really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but that’s not for me,” she added, saying Sharon is “entitled to her own opinions.”
Kelly was also asked during a red carpet interview if she had spoken to her mother about her views on “LGBT+ rights.” 
The reality star said she was “always of the understanding that [her] mom was, like, of the same opinion” and was “sad” to discover that Sharon had said “certain things … that may not align with the trans community in particular.”
“I don’t know if my mom knows enough trans people to make a fair judgment or anything to do with that sort of thing,” Kelly said. “Whereas for me, that is my world. And to be born in a body that doesn’t belong to you, I couldn’t imagine anything worse.”
Kelly chalked it all up to a “lack of education.” 
“When I sit down, and if I ever have a conversation with my mom about stuff like this, she gets it,” she insisted.
Kelly went on to express her views plainly: “I wouldn’t be me without [the LGBT community]. They’re the only community that has always accepted me no matter what. They taught me how to be myself, fearless, and to truly believe that I can be whatever I want to be.”
She also said that group is responsible for “every ounce of creativity and beauty in this world.”
“It was the drag queens that taught me how to do makeup. It was the trans community that taught me about bravery. It was ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ that taught me how to stand like a lady,” Kelly said.
Sharon previously angered the Left by voicing support for U.K.-based activist Tommy Robinson’s anti-immigration event, &#8220;Unite The Kingdom.&#8221; She responded to a post promoting the event by saying, &#8220;See you at the march.&#8221;
Sharon was then disavowed by the charity Centrepoint, which aids the homeless. 
As for the trans issue, she <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCyNs_rAf3A">said</a> in 2024 that there should be age limits for making life-altering decisions related to so-called “gender affirming care.” She was also blasted by leftists in 2022 for daring to say that identifying as trans or nonbinary is sometimes <a href="https://www.thetimes.com/culture/tv-radio/article/sharon-osbourne-everyone-is-scared-of-saying-something-wrong-its-no-way-to-live-d72bgdlz2">treated as a fad</a>.
Sharon has also argued that it’s not fair for men who identify as women to compete against women in sports.

American eyebrows were raised when news broke that the mother of Maine Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate <a href="https://abcnews4.com/news/nation-world/democratic-maine-senate-candidate-fathered-2-sons-with-his-second-cousin-reports-democrats-republicans-general-election-vote-voting-lana-pelletier-gramham-platner-senator-susan-collins-politics">Troy Jackson</a>’s children was his second cousin. The couple shares only 3% of their DNA, but first cousins share over 12% of DNA, and their children are twice as much at risk of genetic defects as children of unrelated couples.
In America, marrying a first cousin is still legal in 16 states and Washington, D.C. But Jerry Lee Lewis notwithstanding, it’s rare: only around <a href="https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/inbreeding-by-country">0.1%</a> of marriages.
In the United Kingdom, there is no ban on marrying your first cousin, and it was fairly common until the late 19th century. Readers of Jane Austen remember Fanny Price marrying her cousin Edmund in “Mansfield Park,” or Henrietta Musgrove marrying her cousin Charles in “Persuasion.” It wasn’t just in fiction; Queen Victoria married her cousin, Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

One reason was that most people lived their entire lives within a small radius of their birthplace, so they didn’t have a wide selection of partners. The circle was even smaller for the nobility. Many of Europe’s royals married relatives, which sometimes led to genetic defects and unfortunate traits.
Cousin-marriage rates dropped when genetics research demonstrated the risks of inbreeding. Charles Darwin (who married a cousin) saw defects in inbred plants, but in 1902 Archibald Garrod <a href="https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(01)41972-6/fulltext">publicized</a> the link between inbreeding and defects tied to recessive genes.
“By the 20th Century the proportion of marriages between cousins had declined to about 1%” in Britain, the BBC <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c241pn09qqjo">reported</a> last year. The low national percentage has apparently risen since mass immigration began from countries where cousin marriage is common. In 2025, over half — 55% — of Pakistanis in Britain were reportedly married to first cousins — a higher rate than in Pakistan itself.
Today, the risks are irrefutable. Children born to parents who are cousins have more than <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/world/risk-of-birth-defect-doubles-for-cousin-couples-study-idUSDEE9620IP/">twice</a> the risk of a congenital abnormality. In a study of the English city of Bradford, more than 30% of birth defects in babies of Pakistani origin were born to parents who were cousins. Also in Bradford, “more babies are <a href="https://firstthings.com/what-britains-cousin-marriage-controversy-tells-us/">born</a> with genetic conditions than elsewhere in the country.”
Married cousins subject their prospective children to more than double the risk of crippling genetic illnesses. That’s an avoidable human cost. The family partly bears the financial cost through lost earnings or support services.
But in Britain, the state-run National Health Service and various welfare programs pick up most of the tab. Over 70% of ethnic Pakistani households in Britain were in the <a href="https://www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/work-pay-and-benefits/pay-and-income/income-distribution/latest/">bottom</a> 40% of income distribution, according to government data. To be blunt, that means that a sub-population dependent on public assistance is passing the financial risks of inbreeding to the general population.
In January, a member of Parliament proposed a bill to ban first cousin marriage, but then-Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer didn’t allow it up for a vote. Meanwhile, the government published controversial <a href="https://www.medicalbrief.co.za/nhs-under-fire-for-guidance-over-benefits-of-marrying-first-cousins/">guidance</a> defending cousin marriage. An article by the National Health Service <a href="https://www.medicalbrief.co.za/nhs-under-fire-for-guidance-over-benefits-of-marrying-first-cousins/">said</a> that first-cousin marriage could provide “stronger extended family support systems and economic advantages.”
A guide for midwives <a href="https://www.thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/article/nhs-guidance-cousin-marriages-ht6txv2zv">said</a> that worries about inbreeding were “exaggerated” because “85 to 90 per cent of cousin couples ‘do not have affected children.’” The guidance suggested that the risks of marrying a cousin be “balanced against the potential … economic benefits” and “emotional and social connections.”
But any benefits of cousin marriage belong exclusively to the families concerned, while the costs are socialized to all taxpayers. So why would anyone defend dangerous inbreeding?
Britain’s Labour Party is in a quandary. They know the greater risks and thus costs of children born to cousin marriages. At the same time, they are increasingly dependent on low-income immigrant populations for votes, as the traditional indigenous working class abandons them for the Conservatives or the new, migration-skeptic Reform and Restore parties.
According to a recent <a href="https://ukandeu.ac.uk/the-myth-and-reality-of-ethnic-minority-support-for-labour/">survey</a>, “[a]mong voters of Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Caribbean, and African descent who earn less than £25,000 ($34,000) there is a 93% likelihood that they will support Labour.” Labour has so far chosen to back its ethnic vote-bank at the expense of children.
In June, “shadow” health secretary (opposition Conservative Member of Parliament) Dr. Luke Evans <a href="https://www.gbnews.com/politics/cousin-marriage-labour-bill-ban-andy-burnham?utm_content=Labour+finally+considers+backing+Bill+to+ban+cousin+marriage&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Newsletter">submitted</a> a First Cousins (Prohibited Relationships) Bill to Parliament. Current Prime Minister Andy Burnham now faces one of his first tests: does he back the science and save thousands of children a preventable future of crippling disease? Or does he hold his nose and support obscurantist ethnic votes — or prevent them from going even further Left to “<a href="https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/jul/07/who-are-the-pro-gaza-independents-who-unseated-labour-mps">Gaza independent</a>”?
Cousin marriage, like child marriage, “honor” killing of relatives, and wife beating, is a cultural practice the West long abandoned, for good reason. Immigrants moving to developed countries need to leave such practices behind them, if they are to assimilate and partake of the prosperity and freedom they ostensibly seek.

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez got a surprise from his teammates after he took a few days off to take the United States naturalization test.
Suarez was recruited out of Venezuela to play first for the Detroit Tigers and then the Reds, with stops at several other Major League Baseball teams before he returned to Cincinnati in February of 2026 — and he missed two games in early September to finally become a United States citizen.
His teammates responded by changing his walk-up song to Lee Greenwood&#8217;s &#8220;God Bless the USA (I&#8217;m Proud To Be An American).&#8221;

Suarez&#8217;s absence could have been a streak-breaker — he had just come off a hot month, hitting six home runs and driving in 20 in August. He&#8217;d also racked up an impressive .852 OPS (On-base Plus Slugging), and in a sport that thrives on streaks and slumps, taking two games off can be a lot to ask.
But the dates and times for citizenship testing aren&#8217;t decided based on what might be the most convenient for the person taking the test, and Suarez had no choice but to work with the schedule he was given.
Would his hot streak continue after a two-game hiatus? Suarez answered that question decisively, launching a three-run home run later that same game to put the Reds ahead — his second at-bat as a United States citizen.

On FOX News&#8217; &#8220;The Big Weekend Show&#8221; on Saturday, host Tomi Lahren drew a stark comparison between Suarez and former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, who made a name for himself in protest of the United States.

A Gambian immigrant fatally shot two men in the parking lot of the Tucson gay bar Monday before killing himself, in what police have confirmed was a premeditated hate crime targeting the homosexual community.
Tucson police say Ousman Ceesay, 44, opened fire on Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33, around 12:30 a.m. outside Venture-N, a longtime gay bar near the University of Arizona campus, NBC News <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/deadly-shooting-tucson-gay-bar-investigated-possible-hate-crime-rcna595646">reported</a>. Both victims died at the scene. Ceesay turned a 9mm handgun on himself and later died at a hospital.
Investigators said Ceesay had no known connection to either victim and had only recently relocated to Tucson from Oklahoma City. He was carrying a written list of other LGBT-associated businesses in the area, though surveillance footage reviewed by detectives showed he never attempted to enter Venture-N itself during the attack.
A search of Ceesay&#8217;s home turned up a separate note that police say confirmed he acted alone and that the shooting was deliberately aimed at the gay community, the outlet reported. Tucson Police Chief Monica Prieto called the killings &#8220;especially heinous&#8221; and said bias-motivated violence has no place in the city. Officers have since mad contact with every business named on Ceesay&#8217;s list and increased patrols nearby, though authorities say there is no known ongoing threat.
Ceesay had no criminal record in Pima County and was legally permitted to own firearms, police said.
According to his cousin, <a href="https://tucson.com/news/local/crime-courts/article_fab18d08-416e-4682-8e5c-cd405cdfd053.html">interviewed</a> by the Arizona Daily Star, he had worked as an Uber driver and was a practicing Muslim who prayed five times daily. Ceesay and his wife filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2018 after accruing more than $76,000 in debt, and that the couple faced eviction over unpaid rent as recently as last year.
Capara, a photographer, had spent years documenting the gay scene, campus life, and pro-Palestinian demonstrations and anti-ICE rallies around Tucson. His father, Jeff Capara, separately <a href="https://tucson.com/news/local/article_b1f8a817-d1ba-4b99-a95a-bf218e50d0f0.html">told</a> the Star his son cared deeply about people he considered marginalized.
Siqueiros&#8217;s sister, Kate Marquez, told mourners at a vigil this week that her brother had wondered aloud just days before his death whether anyone would show up for him if something happened. She said the outpouring of support since the shooting had answered that question.
Community organizations, including Tucson Queerstory and the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, held a candlelight vigil at a local park, and a memorial of flowers, candles and photographs has grown outside Venture-N in the days since the attack.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) quietly conducted raids across New York dubbed &#8220;Operation Rotten Apple&#8221; that yielded the arrests of more than 2,100 illegal immigrant criminals.
Among those arrested were murderers, kidnappers, rapists, robbers, burglars, child predators, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals released onto the streets by sanctuary authorities, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced during a press conference on Tuesday. The raids took place between July 27 and August 29 and targeted more than 13,000 criminal illegal immigrants who were released from local jails despite having ICE detainers lodged against them.
&#8220;Operation Rotten Apple was an operation we decided to take on because you have a very liberal slash socialist mayor here in New York City that instead of working with law enforcement tries to cut NYPD&#8217;s budget by $22 million and refuses to work with federal law enforcement. You have a governor that refuses to work with us,&#8221; Mullin said.
&#8220;These are your rapists, your murderers, your child predators, these are gangbangers, these are terrorists. 13,000 individuals that the state of New York had locked up and we said &#8216;Hey, they&#8217;re in this country illegally,&#8217; &#8230; We targeted those 13,000. That&#8217;s where we got those 2,100 and we&#8217;re not done, we&#8217;re still moving forward,&#8221; Mullin said.
During Tuesday&#8217;s announcement, Mullin took swipes at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul for adopting the sanctuary policies that forced ICE to take to the streets.
&#8220;These individuals should&#8217;ve never been on our streets, but while the radical left sanctuary states protect illegals, underneath Trump&#8217;s administration and the Department of Homeland Security, ICE officers &#8230; are out there every day protecting Americans. Let&#8217;s not forget earlier this summer when the mayor of New York City, the socialist Mamdani, said he believes that ICE raids are cruel, inhumane, and they do nothing to serve to protect the interests of the public safety,&#8221; Mullin said.
&#8220;You want to tell me that these individuals here that was arrested off your streets mayor, that&#8217;s in the interest of public safety,&#8221; Mullin said, adding that Mamdani is &#8220;extremely out of touch&#8221; when it comes to public safety and the wants of the American people.
He went on to criticize Hochul for recently <a href="https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/keeping-new-yorkers-safe-governor-hochul-announces-local-cops-local-crimes-provision-banning" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banning</a> local police from entering into agreements to work with ICE.
&#8220;Recently, your liberal governor of the great state of New York &#8230; got behind a podium that read &#8216;Keeping New Yorkers Safe.&#8217; At the same time, she&#8217;s announcing that she&#8217;s ending 287g agreements and banned individuals in New York from working with us,&#8221; Mullin said.
Mullin listed several of the criminal illegal immigrants ICE nabbed during the operation, which included an Indian man wanted in Germany for rape who was released into the country during the Biden administration. ICE also arrested a Ukrainian murderer, a Colombian national arrested for sexually assaulting a child, and a Dominican heroin trafficker.
Ken Genalo, field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in New York City, called the operation &#8220;deliberate,&#8221; &#8220;precise,&#8221; and &#8220;effective.&#8221;
&#8220;These are not the people New York&#8217;s sanctuary policies should be protecting from federal immigration enforcement,&#8221; Genalo said.
The officers who took part in the raids faced harassment from outside agitators as they worked to arrest the illegal immigrant targets, Genalo said, adding that his agents remain undeterred.
&#8220;While our officers were removing public safety threats from the New York streets, they were also being harassed, threatened, targeted, and terrorized,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And when elected officials excuse, minimize, or even celebrate the behavior as they did in this case, they place a target on the back of the officers who are doing their jobs. ICE officers will not be intimidated by political rhetoric, sanctuary policies, or street-level threats.&#8221;

In June, the U.S. Supreme Court ended a year of argument by confirming that a child born on American soil is an American. The debate about belonging in Anglosphere countries is not new, nor are attempts to have the law decide. It happened in England in 1608, in a case about a Scottish toddler called Robert Calvin and whether he could inherit English land.
Sir Edward Coke, maybe the most brilliant and most bloody-minded lawyer England has ever produced, held that anyone born within the king’s allegiance was the king’s subject. The rule crossed the Atlantic with the common law, and in 1868 you carved it into the Fourteenth Amendment.
England, meanwhile, scrapped it. In 1983, with no constitutional convention and no soul-searching, the British Nationality Act of 1981 quietly ended the automatic citizenship of every child born on British soil. What Coke built and America entrenched, our Parliament undid in an afternoon, because in Britain Parliament can do anything within the bounds of physics. Both the protections in the American Constitution and the flexibility in the British system show the difficulties of using law as a measure of who is “really” American or British, and who might be merely administratively so.
The latest flare-up of this debate in England is housing. This week Reform UK, the insurgent party of Nigel Farage, pledged to put young British workers at the front of the queue for social housing (public housing, roughly), to remove foreign nationals from it, and to limit the welfare non-citizens receive. You might wonder why foreigners are paid welfare and given houses in Britain. Me too. Yet the socialist Labour government called Reform’s plan “unserious and unworkable,” and the very next day proudly unveiled its own master plan: 70,000 affordable homes, spread over 10 years, against a waiting list of 1.3 million households. At that pace, the last family in the queue gets its keys around the year 2212. That’s how incompetent socialists are.
But behind the housing row sits this deeper argument about belonging, and at its center is a system American readers may not know. It has a name only the British civil service could have produced: Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). ILR is our green card. Created in 1971, it gives a migrant on a qualifying visa, after just five years’ residence, the right to stay forever, to claim welfare, and to join that public housing queue. In the last year, Britain granted permanent residence to 525,000 people. That is a foreign population the size of Atlanta, every single year, promised permanence in Britain.
After Brexit, Boris Johnson&#8217;s Conservative government promised control of our borders. Instead, after the lockdowns, Britain ran its own version of the Biden surge: visas issued in the millions, which Britons now call the “Boriswave,” pushing net migration above 900,000 in a single year. About one in five people in Britain was born abroad, an astonishing figure for a country that had net emigration as recently as 1993, and a higher share than America has ever had, Ellis Island included.
The Boriswave cohort is now arriving at its five-year mark, and the queue for permanence is about to become the longest in our history. The government’s answer is “earned settlement”: doubling the qualifying period to 10 years, including for people who arrived under the old rules. Reform would go further and abolish ILR altogether.
That is because, just 12 months after receiving ILR, a migrant can apply for citizenship and a passport. The tests are not demanding. English is required at an “intermediate” level. There is a 45-minute multiple-choice quiz of pub trivia, Life in the U.K. There is no test of contribution, of whether you have worked or claimed, integrated into mainstream society or withdrawn from it. That is how a country manufactures citizens who are British by filing rather than belonging.
Defenders of this arrangement insist that once someone has a passport, they are just as British as everyone else, and nothing can ever be done to remove them. But a passport does not magically and retroactively justify the decision to grant it. Britain has handed out passports like confetti, and pretended that the paperwork is all it takes to become part of the British family.
Some European neighbors have stopped pretending. Since January, Sweden has offered refugees a repatriation grant of 350,000 kronor per adult, about $35,000, to go “home,” for those the migration minister says have “not become sufficiently integrated.” In May, the Swedish parliament took the first of two votes to amend the constitution so that dual nationals who commit crimes that “seriously damage Sweden’s vital interests” can be stripped of citizenship. Denmark has paid repatriation grants for years. So the question Britain must answer is whether membership in a nation is a contract whose terms the nation may revise, or a promise the state can never rewrite, no matter what its citizens think.
Britain has rapidly moved to copy the American idea of being a “creedal” nation, with insistence from the Left that there is no such thing as an “English” or “Scottish” or “Welsh” ethnic people, and that Britishness is merely a series of stereotypes familiar to American audiences. Cups of tea, London buses, a spot of rugby or cricket, and some dry wit. But identity runs much deeper than all of those things.
You see it in deep social mores and customs (that are shared across the Atlantic by our joint provenance), in our sense of fair play, family unit structure, belief in the common law, and so on, that are just different from even other Western European nations. Alan Macfarlane shows this in a work called “The Origins of English Individualism.”
He shows that Englishness, Britishness, or Americanness for that matter, is not merely a matter of what food you eat, or even whether you can speak the language. It’s obviously not just an ethnic distinction either, as many interracial marriages and non-white people integrate marvelously. But if the Left continues to insist that paperwork is all that defines our sense of belonging and citizenship, and ignores the deep, powerful wellsprings of national identity, they may come to regret severing the link between the nation and the state.

When an interviewer asked an elderly couple vacationing in Spain if they’d open their doors to an illegal immigrant, the husband didn’t hesitate. “Why not?” he declared, beaming with virtue.
But the moment the interviewer called his bluff and brought out a Nigerian musician earning pennies on the street, the warm welcome instantly turned into a cold shoulder. The husband suddenly stammered about having no room on vacation, while his wife flatly cut in with a firm “No, no, no.”
That viral confrontation captures a dynamic researchers call the &#8220;abstract versus proximate&#8221; gap. It’s the ultimate &#8220;Not In My Backyard&#8221; syndrome: people love playing the humanitarian on paper, but panic when reality suddenly lands on their doorstep.
The translated exchange went like this:

Colombia is ushering in a new era of conservative immigration policies after its citizens elected a Right-wing president to replace the country&#8217;s previous far-Left leader.
Newly elected Colombian President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/another-trump-backed-candidate-declares-victory-over-the-left-in-latin-america" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Abelardo de la Espriella</a> said Sunday that he would commence immigration raids across the country as early as this week, according to the Associated Press.
The conservative Latin American leader, who was endorsed by President Donald Trump, said national immigration authorities, with the help of the Colombian police, will begin the operation by targeting illegal immigrants who are &#8220;committing crimes&#8221; before nabbing those who lack immigration status, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/colombia-de-la-espriella-migrants-president-venezuelans-raids-crime-05bb694f97b18a1d449e0926fe8f94e6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the AP.
&#8220;I will not accept any illegal immigrants, wherever they come from,&#8221; de la Espriella said in a video. &#8220;They will have to leave and be deported. It is a political decision I am taking responsibility for.&#8221;
The majority of migrants living in Colombia hail from neighboring Venezuela, according to the AP. Roughly 2.8 million Venezuelan nationals were living in Colombia as of August.
In 2021, Colombia granted temporary residence permits to roughly 2.3 million Venezuelan migrants, the AP reported. But it appears the new president is looking to turn the tide on the country&#8217;s years-long policy of amnesty.
Upon de la Espriella&#8217;s election, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he &#8220;looks forward to working closely&#8221; with the new president to &#8220;end illegal immigration to the United States,&#8221; among other initiatives.
In recent months, several Latin American countries, including Honduras, Costa Rica, Chile, Bolivia, and Ecuador, have elected Right-wing leaders.
At one point, Colombia&#8217;s previous leftist president, Gustavo Petro, temporarily refused to accept deportation flights from the United States. The move led to icy relations with Washington before Petro ultimately caved after Trump threatened new tariffs.
&#8220;The U.S. cannot treat Colombian migrants as criminals,&#8221; Petro said upon denying the arrival of the planes.
De la Espriella, who was sworn in three weeks ago, has signaled that he will usher in a new era of warm relations with the United States.

Imagine inviting someone to a dinner party at your home who doesn&#8217;t know how to eat with cutlery, clean up after themselves, speak English, properly respect the hosts, or refrain from attacking your children, wife, or dog.
That would be stupid.
But ironically, that is exactly what the United Kingdom did, just on a much grander and more significant scale.
After allowing hundreds of thousands of migrants to flood their borders and nest within the walls of the U.K., fundamentally changing the fabric of their nation, sending sexual assault numbers skyrocketing, and leaving housing, policing, and legal systems groaning under the weight of it, the government&#8217;s fix is not tighter borders, stricter asylum vetting, or, say, enforcing the laws already on the books. That would make too much sense. Instead, they&#8217;re resorting to &#8220;How to Act in Britain&#8221; <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/understanding-behaviours-and-expectations-in-the-uk-a-guide-for-asylum-seekers/understanding-behaviours-and-expectations-in-the-uk-a-guide-for-asylum-seekers-accessible">pamphlets</a> for their former third-world arrivals.
It&#8217;s embarrassing beyond recognition.
The instruction manuals for the new arrivals include basic messaging that most of Western civilization absorbs by kindergarten — but that those arriving from elsewhere have no concept of at all.
Take the &#8220;novel&#8221; concept of gender equality:

And importing those parts that largely view women as half-brained? Might not go over well with the ladies of Blighty.
It&#8217;s also funny to see that *snap* just like that, the Left remembered that differences between the two sexes do exist. Someone alert the WNBA.

My favorite entry: please don&#8217;t confiscate your wife&#8217;s passport. In America, we&#8217;re still arguing over whether a woman who strangled her three kids to death mid-breakdown counts as a &#8220;victim&#8221;; meanwhile, the U.K. is now having to remind 19% of its population that a passport is a travel document, not a leash.
It&#8217;s giving “Not Without My Daughter,” except this time the sequel is government-issued pamphlets explaining that, no, in the U.K., you cannot confiscate your wife&#8217;s passport whenever you feel like it.
Naturally, there&#8217;s a section on sex and consent. Foreign nationals make up roughly 11% of the English population but account for somewhere between 14% and 22% of sexual-offense convictions, including close to a quarter of convictions for sexual assault on women and over one-fifth of adult rape convictions, per 2024 figures.
Bang-up job there, Europe.

It might have helped to hand out the &#8220;please don&#8217;t sexually assault women&#8221; pamphlet before the Rape Gang Inquiry confirmed what everyone already knew: that as many as a quarter of a million young girls were systematically raped, trafficked, and abused over decades by organized networks of mostly Pakistani men, while police, councils, and social workers looked away, terrified of the word &#8220;racist.&#8221;
The government didn&#8217;t have too much to say about that, but hey: dial 999 if you need anything, ladies!

No unsolicited photos, no sexual comments, and no groping, please! Please! PLEASE! I&#8217;m honestly surprised there wasn&#8217;t a bonus module on saying &#8220;thank you&#8221; or a footnote clarifying that beheading people is generally frowned upon in polite society.
It&#8217;s easy to mock because it&#8217;s so incredibly insane; the nation that once exported liberty, rule of law, and women&#8217;s rights to half the globe is now reduced to begging its own dinner guests not to assault the hosts. But the insanity of it all is quite sad.
Between 2021 and 2024, as hundreds of thousands crossed the Channel to file asylum claims, sexual-offense convictions among foreign nationals rose 62%. Afghan nationals showed markedly elevated rates. Foreign nationals remain wildly overrepresented in England&#8217;s sex-offender population relative to their share of the general population.
The victims in all of this were largely young English women. You weren&#8217;t allowed to notice, lest you get labeled a bigoted Islamophobe. You also weren&#8217;t allowed to notice that the year Muhammad became the #1 boy name in England and Wales (and stayed there), thousands of those same young, white, British girls were still being treated as fair game by organized grooming networks. Or notice that old cities and towns once full of smiling faces and bright-eyed children were now draped in flags, burqas, and speakers sounding the call to prayer, lest you be called a bigot.
But now that everyone&#8217;s seeing it and can’t unsee it, the government is making a pathetic attempt at damage mitigation with &#8220;How to be an Englishman,&#8221; for dummies who couldn’t care less about how to be an Englishman.
It boils down to this: those illegally entering these established nations do not want to be like the English, or the Americans, or the Western man more broadly. They want to import their own ways, their own hierarchy of the sexes, their own rules about whose word carries force and whose body is available, and their own contempt for the soft, sentimental rules that Judeo-Christian civilization spent centuries building.
The Bible and the moral tradition that grew from it teach that every person, man or woman, bears the image of God, that the strong are commanded to protect the weak, that marriage is a covenant of mutual dignity, and that the stranger is still bound by the same moral law as the host. That is why the West abolished slavery, raised the status of women, and treated rape as a crime against the person rather than a property dispute. Large parts of the Islamic world, shaped by different scriptures and centuries of different practices, never underwent that transformation. In too many of the countries these arrivals come from, a woman&#8217;s testimony is worth half a man&#8217;s, her freedom of movement still depends on a male guardian, and &#8220;honor&#8221; can justify violence that Western courts call murder. The Home Office pamphlet is not inventing a problem; it is admitting, in the blandest bureaucratic prose possible, that the guests arrived with a different operating system.
So the dinner party continues. 
The hosts keep printing etiquette cards while the furniture is rearranged, the silverware disappears, and the children are no longer safe in their own home. A serious country would have locked the door. Instead, it keeps setting extra places and hoping the next pamphlet will finally do the trick.

Please Don’t Assault The Hosts: Britain’s Etiquette Guide For Its Uninvited Guests

On Wednesday, Britain’s Home Office (our interior ministry) published a handy nine-page guide for asylum seekers called “Understanding behaviors and expectations in the UK.” It explained to these recent arrivals some of the nuances and faux pas of British life they might not have known prior to breaking into the country.
This advice explained, for example, that rape is a crime, that sex with children is a crime, and that new arrivals should not follow women down the street whistling or making “kissing sounds.”
Somewhere in London, a civil servant was paid to type the sentence “never try to have sex with someone who is asleep, drunk, or unable to consent clearly.”
A companion poster on the age of consent illustrates the rule with a mock-up British passport belonging to: “Janine Cooper” of Manchester, printed date of birth 17 April 2010. This fictional character turned 16 in the spring. So the British Government is essentially advertising that a schoolgirl four months past her 16th birthday is fair game for being propositioned.
The booklet does mention consequences. “Rape is a serious crime in the UK,” it warns. “You could go to prison, lose your support and accommodation, and it will affect your asylum claim.”
But then again, it may not.
It has just been reported that a Jamaican man, jailed in Britain for nine years for rape, has successfully appealed against his deportation. As a teenager he had been in Jamaica’s witness protection program, his mother a police informant whose evidence convicted a gang leader of murder.
But the British tribunal accepted that his criminal record is now so extensive that Jamaica would probably refuse to readmit him to protection, that his life would be at risk, and that deporting him would therefore breach Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). He stays. His criminal record now functions as a green card.
The ECHR is a post-war treaty interpreted by a court in Strasbourg, France, whose rulings Britain’s own domestic judges must apply at home. Article 3, a prohibition on torture, has been stretched by decades of case law into a rule that nobody may be sent anywhere unpleasant, a category that expands with every judgment. This is a totally separate structure from the European Union, so Brexit does not protect us from foreign judges whose rulings keep foreign rapists safe and sound in England.
In that case, perhaps we do need the anti-rape leaflets after all. They might have been useful reading for Bruke Desalagne, 33, an Eritrean who hid in a truck to enter Britain illegally. He claimed asylum and, in 2022, received “Indefinite Leave to Remain,” our version of a green card.
This month a jury convicted him of raping a male pensioner in his 60s outside a church in London. The attack lasted 20 minutes while a double-decker bus rolled past on CCTV. His sentence was obviously delivered via a translator.
And since I began writing this piece this morning, almost unbelievably, two more rapes by illegal migrants have been reported. This morning: a manhunt in Bournemouth, on England’s south coast, after a woman in her 40s reported being raped in a nature reserve near the beach. And this afternoon: two Afghan migrants are in court, accused of raping and assaulting a 14-year-old girl on a train from Kent into London.
You might think that such an acute crisis of illegal immigration would require more than pamphlets and posters. But the new prime minister, Andy Burnham, in one of his first statements since taking office, has said that every community has to take its “fair share” of these third-world barbarians, not just the poorer areas.
He is in effect going to punish the areas of the U.K. that represent the green and pleasant land for which we are known (that is, the areas that don’t vote for the socialist Labour Party) by billeting rapey third-worlders in hotels and houses.
And sadly, there is not yet the evidence that the pamphlets are working.
In undercover footage filmed inside the migrant camps on the French shore, one man bound for Britain puts it more succinctly than any government document: “I’m only interested to f*ck. I need it.”
What Britain needs, however, is to leave the ECHR, the foreign organization that puts the rights of rapists above those of victims and legally hampers our ability to deport our way out of the crisis. Imagine if, above the U.S. Supreme Court, there was a body of Mexican, Canadian, Honduran, Brazilian, and Cuban judges who could overrule the Constitution, all to benefit foreign rapists.
The situation is as absurd as it is tragic. But the tragedy is set to continue until we vote the Left out of power.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has again endorsed a Republican congresswoman leading the fight for amnesty on the Right.
&#8220;Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar is doing a truly fantastic job representing the wonderful people of Florida&#8217;s 27th Congressional District,&#8221; the president said in a Truth Social post on Monday evening. &#8220;A former news anchor and political reporter, Maria knows the Wisdom and courage required to confront the corrupt Fake News, which seeks to divide and destroy our great country.&#8221;
The president praised Salazar for working hard to &#8220;grow our economy, cut taxes and regulations, promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Support our Brave Military/Veterans, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.&#8221;
This marks the second time this cycle that the president has endorsed Salazar, who has authored three versions of the so-called Dignity Act since 2022, legislation that offers legal status, full work authorization, and protection from deportation for illegal immigrants who have been in the United States since prior to 2021.
The most recent version of the &#8220;Dignity for Immigrants while Guarding our Nation to Ignite and Deliver the American Dream Act&#8221; is dubbed the &#8220;DIGNIDAD Act&#8221; and includes a path to &#8220;lawful permanent resident status&#8221; for illegal immigrants — including those with &#8220;deferred action for childhood arrival (DACA) status.&#8221;
Salazar also co-sponsored the reintroduced Farm Workforce Modernization Act, legislation creating &#8220;certified agricultural worker&#8221; status for illegal immigrants working on farms as well as an eventual paid path to get a green card. In addition, she added her name to the Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act, H.R. 9535 (SAWA), which allows illegal immigrant workers who are already in the United States to obtain legal H-2A status and waives their past immigration violations.

“We’re losing thousands and thousands of workers,&#8221; she argued in June 2025, reacting to President Donald Trump&#8217;s deportation efforts. &#8220;What the ICE leadership has called &#8216;collateral damage.&#8217; And most of those people are working in three main sectors. Construction, hospitality, and agriculture.&#8221;
&#8220;What is the growth effect on the economy of this type of removal of people, of hands being removed from those three main top sectors?&#8221; she asked.
The White House did not respond to requests for comment on the topic. Natalie Baldassarre, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, told The Daily Wire that Salazar has the president&#8217;s full support.
“President Trump&#8217;s endorsement remains the most powerful tool in electing strong Republicans,&#8221; she shared on Tuesday. &#8220;Congresswoman Maria Salazar has the President&#8217;s complete and total endorsement, and Republicans are united behind his America First agenda and ready to keep Florida red up and down the ballot.&#8221;
