There is a quiet crisis destroying the lives of American children happening right in front of us, but about which far too few people know. It is the crisis of child sex trafficking. Tens of thousands of kids — boys and girls — are trapped in it, and most all of it takes place online.
I learned the story recently of a girl I’ll call Lisa. She was first sexually abused when she was only a toddler, just two or three. Her attacker posted degrading and graphic pictures of the abuse on the internet. That’s where federal investigators first saw her. The good news was that, based on certain identifying clues in the photos, they believed they could pinpoint Lisa’s location. The bad news? The government has only a handful of investigators with forensic expertise dedicated full-time to fighting child trafficking. And the scope of the crisis is overwhelming. It’s time we did something about it.
There are thousands and thousands of children like Lisa. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children recorded 20.6 million files — images, videos, and other files — of suspected child sexual abuse in 2017. In 2025, it was 61.8 million files. That’s a 200% increase in less than a decade. To give you a sense of the sheer number of abusers involved, consider this: in a single, six-month period last year, 338,000 separate IP addresses — individual online users, essentially — posted or shared images of child rape. All of that in just six months.
What does that mean in real terms? It means that tens of thousands of children are trapped and waiting to be rescued. The global police agency Interpol estimates there are 89,000 children for whom law enforcement has identifying images, but who have not been located. This means there are nearly 90,000 kids who could be found and rescued if we just devoted the time and manpower to find them. How do I know it’s possible? Because of Lisa.
Investigators in her case began analyzing what they found online, zeroing in on clues in the images her abuser shared. A shadow here. The outlines of buildings there. A glimpse of playground equipment in the background of a video that one analyst recognized as unique to certain cities in the American South. They worked and analyzed and narrowed her location until, finally, they were able to find her and bring her to safety.
Lisa’s rescue was no one-off. In another case, investigators were able to isolate the audio of a bird call in the background of a video to locate and rescue a child based on the range and habitat of that particular bird. And in yet another case, federal investigators analyzed an image depicting a young victim in the backseat of a car, with a blurry highway sign through the window. Their analysis of that single sign led to a search that rescued an 11-year-old girl only 13 days after the images were first discovered online. That’s what the best cops can do when they have the means.
It’s time we gave them what they need.
One man who has been showing the way is Tim Tebow, the former Heisman Trophy winner and football legend. His nonprofit group, the Tim Tebow Foundation, has been a powerful advocate for America’s missing and exploited children. Every year, the Tebow Foundation partners with federal law enforcement to surge resources to the Department of Homeland Security for two weeks to help rescue kids. That surge means more forensic analysts, more investigators — and more children rescued.
This program has had tremendous success. But it’s only two weeks, once a year. We ought to make that surge bigger. And it’s time to make it permanent.
Tim and I have worked on legislation together to add 200 full-time cops and forensic experts to Homeland Security to analyze every piece of child abuse evidence they can get their hands on. Our legislation would also create a new training program to coordinate federal, state, and local efforts, so that all levels of law enforcement can tackle this problem together. Taken as a whole, it would constitute one of the largest investments in fighting child trafficking this country has ever made.
Congress has the opportunity to pass this legislation now. It’s part of the latest funding package for the Department of Homeland Security, which currently awaits action on the Senate floor.
The crisis we face is real, and the thousands of kids trapped in trafficking cannot wait any longer. Let’s go rescue them.

President Donald J. Trump, in his January 6, 2026, address marking National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to ending modern-day slavery, holding traffickers accountable, and empowering survivors to rebuild their lives. That is why the bipartisan Trafficking Survivors Relief Act, which passed both the House and Senate unanimously, is so important.
Human trafficking is not only one of the most vicious crimes in the world, but also one of the most profitable. Modern-day slavery has become a multibillion-dollar criminal enterprise where the supply and demand are the same thing: human beings. People are bought and sold again and again, not because trafficking is hidden, but because it is high-reward and low-risk. Traffickers too often evade justice. Too frequently, victims cannot find justice.
For eight years, Hollie lived that reality.
“My traffickers stripped me of my freedom, my income, my career, my safety, my family, my reputation, my body, and nearly my life.”
When Hollie finally escaped exploitation, she did not step into freedom. She stepped into a system that failed to recognize her as a victim. Instead of protection, she faced punishment. Instead of justice, she faced criminalization for acts she was forced to commit to survive.
That experience is not unique. It is tragically common.
Traffickers routinely coerce victims into committing crimes, selling sex, transporting drugs, using false identification, or engaging in financial fraud, solely for the trafficker’s benefit. This is known as forced criminality, and it is a well-documented reality of human trafficking. Yet when government systems fail to properly identify victims, survivors are arrested, prosecuted, and left with criminal records that follow them long after they escape.
Those records become invisible shackles.
They block access to jobs, housing, education, and financial stability. They keep survivors trapped in cycles of poverty and vulnerability. And they send a devastating message: that the law holds victims responsible for crimes committed against them.
As Hollie has said, “I did not emerge from exploitation into freedom. I emerged into a system that did not know how to see me, protect me, or distinguish me from the crimes committed against me.”
That is not justice.
Conservatives believe in accountability. However, accountability must be placed where it belongs: on the criminals, not the victims. Traffickers should face the full force of the law. Survivors should not be punished for surviving.
This legislation is not symbolic. It is corrective. Many states have already enacted this type of legislation; however, the federal government has been behind the curve.
The Trafficking Survivors Relief Act creates a clear federal pathway for survivors of human trafficking to vacate and expunge convictions for non-violent crimes that resulted directly from their exploitation. It also establishes an affirmative defense to prevent wrongful convictions before they happen. In doing so, it restores integrity to the justice system by ensuring prosecutors recognize and pursue the true perpetrators of crime.
As the bill’s lead sponsor, Congressman Russell Fry of South Carolina, rightly noted, “It makes sense to give prosecutors tools in their toolbox to go after the true perpetrators of these crimes and not the victims themselves. This is common sense.”
He is right. Survivors should never have carried the legal consequences of their traffickers’ crimes in the first place.
This bill is survivor-informed, shaped by those who understand firsthand how systems fail and how they can be fixed. Survivors know that justice cannot end at initial recovery or prosecution — it must extend into long-term restoration, independence, and self-sufficiency.
Hollie has spent years working with law enforcement to improve victim identification, advising prosecutors and judges on survivor-centered justice, partnering with service providers to ensure help does not end at crisis, and collaborating with financial institutions and policymakers to empower survivors to rebuild their lives.
The Trafficking Survivors Relief Act represents American leadership with moral clarity.
The United States can now become the only country with federal legislation that explicitly recognizes forced criminality and provides survivors a clear legal path to relief from convictions tied to their exploitation. That matters. A just nation protects the innocent, punishes the guilty, and restores those who have been wronged.
This law gives survivors a real second chance — the chance to work, to secure housing, to pursue education, and to fully participate in American life without being haunted by crimes they were forced to commit.
It replaces punishment with accountability.
Justice should heal. Justice should be restored. And justice should never ask survivors to carry the crimes of their traffickers.
With the passage of the Trafficking Survivors Relief Act, America takes an important step toward making that principle the law of the land.

A number of recent headlines offer a terrifying glimpse into the stark reality of human trafficking, showing just how pervasive the threat is even in the United States.
In June, a 21-year-old man in Fresno, California, was <a href="https://abc30.com/post/online-safety-group-nabs-fresno-man-trying-meet-child-gaming-platform/16746623/">caught</a> using multiple dummy accounts on the popular gaming platform Roblox to lure young girls into dangerous situations. Manuel Coronado Gonzalez was caught when he attempted to set up such a meeting with a decoy who was posing as a 13-year-old girl. The plan, according to local news reports, was for Coronado Gonzalez to meet the decoy in a public bathroom for sex.
Coronado Gonzalez was caught thanks to a local independent group called Schlep, which has worked with local law enforcement to apprehend similar predators and has aided in investigations that led to five arrests.
“Every single arrest that I have gotten, if it wasn’t us, it would have been a real kid. It would have easily been a headline,” one member of the group, identified only as Michael, explained.
Another group, known as 764, has routinely and repeatedly targeted young teens on both Roblox and Minecraft. Their network has been active for years and is so complex and pervasive that major law enforcement agencies have had difficulty pinning it down. The FBI issued a warning to Americans about the threat posed by 764 in 2024, and it was the subject of a documentary titled “Trapped: The Online Terror Network” released in March.
The documentary followed the story of a teen girl from Red Deer, Alberta, who was groomed and coerced by the group to attempt suicide on a Discord livestream as many of them watched. Trinity had been coerced into carving swastikas and the usernames of others on the platform into her own skin.
“It was difficult to be heard, it was difficult to be believed,” Trinity’s mother, Maria, explained. “It was a pretty traumatic experience, not only for her, but as her mom, to watch her deteriorate to nothing while begging for help.”
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) got involved in the case, but struggled to find solid leads.
“It’s something that internationally, both police and our intelligence security partners are still trying to wrap our heads around. It&#8217;s unlike anything we&#8217;ve seen before,” said Inspector Matt Johnson, part of the RCMP’s counterterrorism unit, Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET), in Edmonton, Alberta.
As <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/newsinteractives/features/online-extremist-network-that-targets-kids">reported by CBC</a>, the teens are typically courted first on Roblox or Minecraft and then lured into private chats on platforms like Discord, all the while being conditioned to believe the chats are a “safe space” for children who are already struggling with issues like eating disorders.
“Experts say the grooming includes lavishing victims with attention and exposing them to violent content to desensitize them. Victims are then coerced into sending sexually explicit images and to self-harm, including carving their predator’s names into their skin as a sign of devotion,” the CBC reported.
The victims are then <a href="https://www.telus.com/en/wise/resources/content/article/the-dangerous-online-network-764-what-parents-need-to-know">threatened by the group</a>, which uses the explicit photos to blackmail them into doing exponentially worse things — repeated self-harm, violence to pets, and even livestreamed suicides like the one that was attempted in Trinity’s case.
What makes the group’s actions especially horrific is that they often involve teens targeting other teens. “The FBI first warned the public about 764 in September 2023 amid a series of arrests, including Bradley Cadenhead, a 15-year-old from Texas who founded the group in 2020 and named it after his zip code,” CBC reported. “Cadenhead is serving an 80-year sentence in 2023 for pleading guilty to possession with intent to promote child pornography.”
Law enforcement has reported 764-related cases in at least 23 countries.

A federal judge in Tennessee ordered suspected human smuggler and illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia to stay in prison while his case continues to play out in court.
Federal Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.tnmd.104622/gov.uscourts.tnmd.104622.67.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ordered</a> Monday that Abrego Garcia remain in the custody of U.S. Marshals after his lawyers expressed fear that he may be deported before his criminal case concludes. She previously ruled that he should be released from custody while his trial plays out, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/judge-orders-release-of-maryland-man-but-the-illegal-alien-could-be-deported-again">claiming</a> the Justice Department failed to demonstrate justification for his remaining in custody.
“Abrego shall therefore remain in the custody of the United States Marshal pending further order. He shall, to the extent practicable, be held separately from persons awaiting or serving sentences or being held in custody pending appeal and he shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity for private consultation with defense counsel,” Holmes wrote Monday.
Abrego Garcia’s legal team moved to keep him detained after a Justice Department official <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kilmar-abrego-garcia-will-be-deported-to-third-country-prosecutors-say?author=Spencer+Lindquist&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Kilmar+Abrego+Garcia+Will+Be+Deported+To+‘Third+Country%2C’+Prosecutors+Say">indicated</a> that the suspected human smuggler would be taken into ICE custody and removal proceedings begun if he was released by U.S. Marshals.
The illegal alien, who has been incorrectly dubbed a “Maryland man” by the legacy media, faces 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for one count of conspiracy to transport aliens and up to 10 years in prison for each illegal smuggled across the country if found guilty on another count of unlawful transportation of illegal aliens. He was returned to the United States last week after being deported to El Salvador due to suspected ties to MS-13.

Earlier this month, the Justice Department <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-why-the-trump-admin-says-it-would-be-dangerous-to-release-kilmar-abrego-garcia">argued</a> in Nashville that Abrego Garcia should be detained because he was a flight risk and would endanger the community based on testimony and evidence that he had endangered children through his alleged participation in a smuggling ring, ties to violent gangs, and the multiple complaints from his wife about domestic violence.
The Department of Homeland Security has remained firm in its position that Abrego Garcia will not go free, issuing a swift response to the judge who ordered his release. Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kilmar-abrego-garcia-will-be-deported-to-third-country-prosecutors-say">asserted</a> last week that “Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a dangerous criminal illegal alien” who “will never go free on American soil.”

WASHINGTON—The Department of Justice has secured the return of alleged human trafficker Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and will prosecute and imprison him in the United States, Attorney General Pam Bondi said at a press conference Friday.
“Abrego Garcia has landed in the United States to face justice,” Bondi told reporters. “This is what American justice looks like,” Bondi said. The attorney general went on to thank various other agencies that aided in the Justice Department’s investigation, as well as El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele.
“On May 21st, a grand jury in the Middle District of Tennessee returned a sealed indictment, charging Abrego Garcia with alien smuggling and conspiracy to commit alien smuggling,” Bondi said. “Our government presented El Salvador with an arrest warrant, and they agreed to return him to our country. We&#8217;re grateful to President Bukele for agreeing to return him to our country to face these very serious charges.”
Abrego Garcia became a cause célèbre after his deportation, with Democrat politicians and members of the mainstream media dubbing him a “Maryland man” and insisting that he had been incorrectly deported. Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen (D) even flew to El Salvador to visit the illegal alien, despite mounting evidence that he had been engaged in transnational criminal activity.
Now, Bondi says, there is no longer any doubt that Abrego Garcia was a criminal.
“The grand jury found that over the past nine years, Abrego Garcia has played a significant role in an alien smuggling ring,” she said, noting that he made over 100 trips back and forth from the United States to smuggle violent gang members and terrorists, as well as “thousands of illegal aliens.”
“This is especially disturbing, because Abrego Garcia is also alleged to have transported minor children,” Bondi said. “The defendant traded the innocence of minor children for profit.”
The attorney general then revealed “even more disturbing facts the grand jury uncovered,” including that Abrego Garcia worked with the smuggling ring “responsible for the death of more than 50 migrants in 2021” following a tractor-trailer accident in Mexico.
Bondi also revealed that co-conspirators allege Abrego Garcia “abused undocumented alien females” and &#8220;solicited nude photographs and videos of a minor.”
The grand jury investigation also revealed that Abrego Garcia used SUVs with false bottoms to smuggle firearms and narcotics into the country.
“These facts demonstrate Abrego Garcia is a danger to our community,” Bondi said.
The Supreme Court ruled after Abrego Garcia’s deportation in March that the United States had to “facilitate” the illegal alien’s return to the country despite him being a Salvadoran national. Now that he’s been returned, Bondi said, he will be charged and imprisoned in the United States. The attorney general says she suspects Abrego Garcia will be returned to El Salvador “upon completion of the sentence.”
In April, authorities began investigating a 2022 traffic stop in which Abrego Garcia was pulled over, but not detained. Asked by a reporter on Friday what changed between that traffic stop and today, Bondi had a simple answer.
“What has changed is that Donald Trump is now president of the United States, and our borders are now secure.”

On the surface, Victoria Sinis is indistinguishable from so many other marketing professionals.
Young, vivacious, and personable, the twenty-something Australian seems like she does PR for a cosmetics company or a trendy tech startup.
But Sinis’ job was something else entirely. For eight months, she trolled social media sites for girls who seemed underage or “barely legal,” and coaxed them into posting explicit content on OnlyFans.
The job was easier than it may seem. All she had to do was lie.
“If we had approached them with the truth and said, ‘Hey, do you want to sign up to do porn? We’ll take 20% of your income. You’re probably not going to earn a lot. You&#8217;re going to have to do some really extreme things. You&#8217;d be like, ‘No!’” Sinis told The Daily Wire.
Instead, she and the other recruiters messaged potential porn performers about their positive “vibe,” and invited them to lavish parties on yachts or fly them in to stay at villas in exotic locales.
Recruiters “show girls this lifestyle, and then say, ‘Would you like to be an OnlyFans creator and maximize your earnings?’” Sinis says.
While influencers parade high-rise apartments and luxury vacations on social media, the average OnlyFans creator earns about $180 a month.
“There’s a cultural myth that you can just sell feet pics and buy a Mercedes,” Sinis says. “But it’s a full-time job for very little return. We had girls post 20 videos a day across five accounts. We had SEO experts, lighting setups, even script templates.”
Sinnis worked at an OnlyFans agency, one of thousands of such companies that have sprung up to exploit both performers and their customers, who believe they’re purchasing access to these women.
While precise statistics are hard to come by, it has been estimated that there are roughly 3,000-5,000 such small agencies globally, and around 300-500 larger, <a href="https://www.creditdonkey.com/best-onlyfans-agency.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more established agencies</a> with significant client rosters and operations. Along with the 20% they pay to OnlyFans, managed performers also have to fork over a hefty commission of their usually meager earnings to them.
The existence of these agencies reveals the demand for adult content on OnlyFans, which was launched in 2016 with the promise that it would allow celebrities and influencers to monetize their content by selling it directly to fans.
At first, OnlyFans did not allow “not safe for work” content. But the platform lifted that prohibition in 2017, and the adult performers began flocking to the site. As COVID lockdowns fueled digital consumption in 2020, that trend only grew.
Today, it&#8217;s estimated that between <a href="https://social-rise.com/blog/onlyfans-statistics">70% and 80%</a> of OnlyFans’ 3 million creators are considered “not safe for work.”
Sinis joined her agency shortly after graduating with a marketing degree. She’d been working in hospitality, but when some friends approached her to join their company, she thought it seemed harmless. And she enjoyed working with her clients, women her agency euphemistically called “content creators,” many of whom she describes as funny and sweet.
As a recruiter, Sinis was tasked with convincing young women who had already built up a following posting risqué photos on Instagram or TikTok to take it one step further to overt “sex work.”
Her employer had a very specific target in mind.
“We recruited based on how young [the women] looked,” Sinis told The Daily Wire. TikTok channels like The BOP House (short for Baddies on Point), which features a host of OnlyFans girls living in an L.A. mansion, boasting of their seven- and eight-figure earnings, have helped make the pitch easy. Convinced that they can earn massive incomes selling their bodies, some young tween and teen girls, Sinis says, are already filming pornographic content to prove their “experience” to OnlyFans recruiters, hopeful they might one day occupy the digital successor to Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion.
What recruiters don’t mention: these girls won’t make much at all, unless they’re willing to film the most explicit and extreme content.
At Sinis’ agency, creators were asked what “level” of content they were comfortable filming. The scale ran from posing in lingerie (Level 1) to “everything but anal” (Level 4), and finally, violent sex and other hardcore acts (Level 5).
“Very quickly, we dropped Level 1 because it didn’t make money,” she says. That meant all the girls they recruited pretty much started at Level 2 — implied nudity. The recruiter’s job was to convince the women to advance through the levels.
“It isn’t, ‘You must do this,’” Sinis explains. “It’s more subtle than that. We would say things to the girls like, ‘This custom request for some explicit performance is worth $500. Are you sure you want to pass that up?’”
“We call it consent but really we were slowly wearing the women down. When a girl would say no to a custom video, and then get offered $1,000, we would continue to push them with, ‘Hey, we’re just checking in. Totally up to you though.’ But it’s not. It’s coercion.”
Some custom requests weren’t even sexual — just dark. One man, for instance, wanted a fake video of a man hanging off a ledge while a woman stepped on his fingers. These darker requests were what finally caused Sinis to question the work she was doing.
“When virtual sadism doesn’t cut it, what’s next — real violence?” she asks. “We are feeding violent, sexualized fantasies. And then we’re surprised when those fantasies spill into the real world.”
After visiting a church service one weekend and thinking of all the women she helped bring into porn, she tendered her resignation.
“I was crying every day, unable to open my laptop when I got to work,” she says. “I kept asking my coworkers, &#8216;Do you think it’s okay, what we do?&#8217;”
What they do is feed delusions — not just to the women they recruit, but to the men who subscribe.
OnlyFans’ appeal is that, unlike other pornographic websites, it allows subscribers to have a seeming personal interaction with performers. But subscribers who “chat” with performers often aren’t interacting with the women on screen.
“We hired chatters, cheap labor from the Philippines, who worked 12- to 16-hour days pretending to be these women,” Sinis says. These workers are given scripts and trained in the “girlfriend experience,” keeping men emotionally tethered, often believing they have genuine relationships with the creators.
“It plays on male loneliness, on their emotional vulnerability,” Sinis tells The Daily Wire. “We exploited men for profit just as much as we did the women performing.” This included training the “chatters” on upselling custom requests.
Sinis believes these men, often married or isolated, aren’t paying for explicit content so much as the sense of intimacy and validation it gives them.
“I had a guy tell me he thought he had a real connection. I had to break it to him: it’s all scripted. You&#8217;re talking to a stranger, quite possibly another man, on another continent.”
Nowhere are these false relationships more harmful than with young men. Children, on average, first see pornography at age 12, though some are exposed to explicit content as young as seven. Studies show that rising pornography consumption is fueling an epidemic of emotional withdrawal, and causing a sharp drop in dating and relationships among Gen Z males.
“I met a 13-year-old boy in Georgia who broke down in tears telling me he watches porn and no one knows,” Sinis recalled. “The shame, the secrecy — it’s soul-crushing.”
Since leaving the industry, Sinis has begun to consider how we might roll back the damage that porn is doing to society. As someone who’s been on the inside, her prescription for change isn’t limited to legislation, though she supports age verification laws like those passed in Utah.
Instead, she advocates for cultural revolution: equipping parents, educating children early, and building a counter-narrative that emphasizes the importance of marriage, family, and faith.
“We need to stop shaming young men and women, and start attacking the real enemy: the $97 billion porn industry that’s consuming them both,” she says.
“This world has light and darkness,” Sinis said. “And OnlyFans feeds the darkness.&#8221;

British prosecutors on Wednesday announced they will charge Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate for rape, human trafficking, and other crimes.
The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed ten charges against Andrew Tate, 38, related to three women. His younger brother, 36-year-old Tristan, faces eleven charges related to one woman, according to <a href="https://www.politico.eu/article/andrew-tate-tristan-tate-uk-rape-human-trafficking-charges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Politico Europe</a>.
The charges were approved last year after evidence was obtained from the Bedfordshire Police.
“We can confirm that we have authorised charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate for offences including rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm against three women,” the service said in a statement.
“These charging decisions followed receipt of a file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police. A European Arrest Warrant was issued in England in 2024, and as a result the Romanian courts ordered the extradition to the UK of Andrew and Tristan Tate,” it continued. “However, the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled first.”
“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds everyone that criminal proceedings are active, and the defendants have the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings,” the statement concludes.
Wednesday’s announcement is the latest in a series of accusations against the Tates from the sordid to the criminal. The two brothers were first arrested in December 2022 by Romanian authorities. Initial charges in Romania were of rape and human trafficking, but they have since been expanded to include sex with a minor and trafficking underage persons.
The Tates have said they are innocent of all charges and portrayed themselves as the targets of a high-powered conspiracy meant to silence them.

The Tates are also under investigation in Florida. Attorney General James Uthmeier <a href="https://x.com/GabeGroisman/status/1927794394557555065" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on a recent episode of the podcast “Standpoint with Gabe Groisman” that he is probing potential criminal activity by the Tates that may have taken place within his jurisdiction.

The Alien Enemies Act, originally passed in 1798, grants the president broad authority to apprehend and remove non-citizens from countries with which the United States is at war or that threaten invasion.

Florida police announced Thursday that they had arrested 25 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/illegal-immigration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">illegal immigrants</a> in a human trafficking sting earlier this month.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCAJo-XTVyM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">news conference</a> that his department had arrested 157 people as part of “Operation Autumn Sweep,” an undercover anti-human trafficking operation conducted from October 2 to October 7. Included in the arrests were illegal immigrants from Venezuela, Colombia, Honduras, Cuba, Guatemala, and Mexico.
“Sixteen percent of these total arrests were people who should not even have been in this country,” Judd said. &#8220;But they were here. And they were here because we have a federal government that enabled these criminals to come into the country and then treated them very well after the criminals came here illegally.”
In one instance, Judd said that one of the women arrested told authorities that she flew from Venezuela to Mexico before crossing into Texas where she was “greeted by Border Patrol.” 
“There was no sneaking. She flew in, she got here, she simply walked across the open border. There is no border security at the southern border. Zero. It doesn’t exist,&#8221; Judd said.
Judd said the woman was told she would be eligible for benefits included SNAP, Medicaid, free housing, and free travel.
“She was given free housing, all because the United States paid for that,” Judd said. “This was not a stealthful act, and they gave her free travel, free housing, free food, free medical care. All while people from the hurricane are still waiting for help.”
Judd said that Travis Hutchinson, one of the men arrested during the operation, was trafficking two women from Colombia and Venezuela. They had been brought illegally into the United States by a human trafficker known as a coyote before they were sent to Florida.

The sheriff had harsh words for the Biden-Harris administration, which he said was facilitating human trafficking with its border policies.
“Make no mistake about it, the government is complicit and is aiding and abetting human trafficking in the United States,” Judd said. “In addition to that, there is a wide-open border where fentanyl is coming across, and that is encouraged, and as a result of that, we have thousands upon thousands of people dying in the United States. And then the best that our federal politicians can say was, ‘well, it didn’t kill as many people this year as last year.’”
Another three of the suspects nabbed in the operation worked at <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/we-always-have-disney-employees-florida-sheriff-reveals-results-of-human-trafficking-investigation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Disney World</a>, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s office. “We always arrest Disney employees,” Judd said, describing the operation.
The Polk County Sheriff&#8217;s office was aided by law enforcement from surrounding counties and cities during the operation, which was cut short due to Hurricane Milton.

Authorities in Ventura County, California, were tipped off last week to a suspected sex trafficker and rapist when a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly smuggled into the U.S. by the Mexican national texted 911 from the house she was being held in.
The Ventura County Sheriff&#8217;s Office <a href="https://local.nixle.com/alert/10989739/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on Thursday that &#8220;In the early morning hours of May 9th, deputies working the Ojai Sheriff’s Sub-Station rescued a female human trafficking victim who had text[ed] &#8216;911&#8217; to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Communication Center.&#8221;
The young girl doesn&#8217;t speak English and could only provide details about the landmarks surrounding the house, but officers translated the texts into English and pieced together the clues given by the 17-year-old. Despite the limited information, deputies found the victim in just 20 minutes.
&#8220;Simultaneously as the call taker was engaging with the victim, other members of the communications center team were successful in giving real time information to deputies responding to the search. After about twenty minutes of searching the area of Casitas Springs, the victim was found by deputies,&#8221; the sheriff&#8217;s office added.
After she was rescued, the girl gave more information to deputies, which helped them identify and track down the suspect, Gerardo Cruz. The suspect was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including Human Trafficking, Forcible Rape, Lewd Acts Upon a Child, Luring, and Sexual Penetration with Force, the Ventura County Sheriff&#8217;s Office said. Cruz&#8217;s bail was set at $500,000.
Following a preliminary investigation, authorities said that the teenage victim was trafficked into California from Mexico around two months ago. The southern border crisis that has exploded under President Joe Biden has <a href="https://www.congress.gov/118/meeting/house/116344/documents/HHRG-118-JU08-20230913-SD003.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">opened the door</a> for human traffickers to take advantage of loose U.S. laws to boost their exploitative enterprise.
Authorities encouraged people to contact law enforcement immediately if they know a human trafficking victim or suspect that someone is running a human trafficking operation.
