Disgraced “alpha male” influencer Andrew Tate, 39, has been hit with a bombshell new indictment charging him human trafficking and money laundering as he’s accused of grooming and sexually exploiting a 15-year-old girl, Romanian prosecutors said Friday.
The new charges from Romania’s organized crime agency claim Tate recruited one teenager and subjected her to years of physical aggression, emotional blackmail, and forced webcam work between 2012 and 2021. Tate is accused of forcing the young girl to make sexually explicit material and engage in video chats for the disgraced social media influencer, The New York Post reported.
He allegedly had sex with another 15-year-old girl at two of his Romanian properties between December 2020 and the middle of 2021.
His sidekick brother, 38-year-old Tristan Tate, has been accused of complicity by allegedly managing the victim’s video chat accounts, roughing her up, and helping his brother rake in over $1.25 million. Prosecutors say the Tates spent their webcam cash on four luxury rides that authorities are now trying to seize.
Attorneys for the brothers called the new indictment a desperate “prosecution attempt” and pushed for their release on bail. Federal prosecutors have pointed out that the flight-risk brothers have been secretly hoarding fake passports, including a Mexican document held by Tristan under the alias “Vladimir Scorpius,” stolen straight from a James Bond novel.
The new legal bomb drop comes while the Tates remain locked up behind bars at the Federal Detention Center in Miami. The pair are currently fighting extradition back to the United Kingdom, where they face 59 combined charges including rape, human trafficking, and possession of child pornography.
“Officers from our major crime unit have been working closely alongside the Crown Prosecution Service and both national and international law enforcement agencies as part of this complex investigation,” Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas said in mid-July.
“We understand the interest that this case will generate, but we would urge the public not to speculate and to allow the legal process to be carried out correctly. There is no place for male violence against women and girls, and we will continue to work tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us.”
That same month, the Tate brothers were arrested by federal officials in Miami. They hold dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom and were living in Romania since 2016 but returned to the United States in 2025 while Romanian authorities were investigating them.
Leaked documents from Andrew Tate’s $2,400-a-year “War Room” network have exposed how Tate was secretly running a blackmail ring. The leaked courses instructed followers to act like spy operatives, targeting wealthy CEOs, Hollywood figures, and athletes to extract “compromising” sexual material to “penetrate them and get paid.”
