I recently listened to the daughter of a Hamas sheikh share her story — one that serves as a warning for New York’s mayoral election. For her safety, I’m withholding her name. 
Her mother was Jewish and escaped their Arab village in Israel soon after giving birth. Her father was a wealthy, devout Muslim sheikh with multiple wives. At 14, his daughter chose to live with him, hoping for family and belonging. Instead, what she found was indoctrination and abuse.
Her father woke her routinely in the middle of the night to test her on the Quran. Beatings were justified because, in the Quran, women are only capable of reaching heaven if the men around them are satisfied. At 15, he forced her to marry her 22-year-old cousin. She immediately became pregnant. At six months, her husband beat her in the street for stepping outside her home without permission. She lost the baby at his hands. Her father blamed her — and made her thank her husband for not killing her.
Her father was embedded in Yasser Arafat’s inner circle — the leader of the Palestinian Authority (PLO), and architect of the Second Intifada. The men around her spoke of Israel as a meal to devour “bite by bite” — relentless, incremental, unending. In conversations she overheard, the goal was never compromise. The hate was endless.
She escaped at 17. Homeless, terrified, and alone, when an Israeli social worker discovered her and soon discovered Judaism’s light: a faith rooted in justice, kindness, and human dignity. Today, she raises her children in freedom and dedicates her life to protecting girls from the same abuse she endured.
Her warning is simple: no matter what you give, negotiate, or attempt at nation-building, political Islam’s hate will never stop. 
The ideology that brutalized her doesn’t stay overseas — it is finding its way into our American cities. Hamas wages physical war in Gaza, but its politics are being waged in local councils and mayoral races, where figures like Zohran Mamdani repurpose Hamas-style rhetoric of “resistance” and “liberation” under the banner of socialism.
I’ve seen it firsthand — radical doctrine pushed under the guise of progressive policy. Over the past two years, I helped apply pressure to block two BDS resolutions at the council level in Nashville, Tennessee. This isn’t theory — it’s unfolding through politics, education, and activist networks quietly advancing Islamist agendas to destabilize the West.

Islamist‑backed groups like <a href="https://www.cair.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Directory.pdf">CAIR sponsor or support at least 235 elected officials</a> at state and federal levels, shaping policy and narrative — including in the current New York mayoral race. Once in office, these politicians import religious ideology into governance, reshaping norms and weakening Western culture. 
CAIR’s Unity &amp; Justice Fund reportedly contributed <a href="https://www.jns.org/cair-reportedly-donated-100000-to-support-mamdani-campaign-for-nyc-mayor/">$100,000 to Zohran Mamdani’s campaign</a>, reinforcing the alliance between Islamist networks and democratic‑socialist politics. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) have called for a federal investigation into CAIR’s funding sources, questioning whether the organization is financed or directed by Hamas or other terrorist groups. 
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has renewed efforts to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization — a network whose U.S. affiliates, including the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), hold the deeds to hundreds of mosques and Islamic centers across the United States. CAIR has documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, including being listed as a member of its Palestine Committee in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation terrorism‑financing trial, and was named an unindicted co‑conspirator.
<h3>Political Symbols And Education:</h3>
Anti-American and anti-Israel rhetoric are being woven into classrooms, books, and art — disguised as “diversity” or “multiculturalism.” This summer, a public school in downtown Nashville hosted “<a href="https://x.com/StopAntisemites/status/1966492472827101673">Keffiyeh Day</a>,” celebrating a political symbol tied to Yasser Arafat and the Second Intifada. <a href="https://combatantisemitism.org/cam-news/virginia-high-school-students-glorify-violence-in-horrifying-mock-kidnapping-videos/">At Thomas Jefferson High School in Northern Virginia</a>, students from the Muslim Student Association reenacted Hamas kidnappings in keffiyehs to promote their group. These are not isolated incidents — they reflect a broader ideological initiative.
<h3>The Socialist Cover For Islamist Ambition:</h3>
Words like justice, freedom, victim, oppressed, and occupation are being repurposed to advance extremism. Mamdani, who up until recently has refused to condemn chants to “globalize the Intifada” while promoting the anti-American and anti-Israel BDS movement, exposes how Islamist talking points are being mainstreamed through progressive politics. Under the banner of equity and oppression, Mamdani blurs the line between social justice and political Islam — turning compassion into a Trojan horse for division. His rhetoric mirrors the same moral inversion used by groups like Hamas and the BDS movement: recasting terrorists as victims, and democracies like America and Israel as oppressors. It’s not solidarity — it’s subversion.
The solution is not compromise — it’s clarity. If we elect leaders without Western values, we erase Western values.
Just as the daughter of the Hamas sheikh found light after darkness, our communities must commit to deradicalization, education, and the moral courage to say a definitive “no.”
The fight is no longer overseas. It’s here — on our American soil. We must act now, before the next bite is taken.

In a <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/04/bbc-arabic-bias-pushed-hamas-lies/">blistering internal report</a> that reads like an indictment of the BBC’s own integrity, whistleblower documents reveal that BBC Arabic deliberately downplayed Israeli suffering in the Gaza war while racing to air unverified, Hamas-sourced claims designed to cast the Jewish state as the villain. The memo, written by Michael Prescott, a former adviser to the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines Committee, accuses the Arabic service of systemic bias, misinformation, and a shocking tolerance of antisemitic voices.
According to the report, BBC Arabic repeatedly parroted Hamas talking points while omitting or minimizing Israel’s perspective — even when evidence contradicted militant propaganda. Allegations against Israel were rushed to broadcast “without adequate checks,” suggesting not mere carelessness but, as Prescott wrote, “a desire always to believe the worst about Israel.”
The BBC’s English-language coverage told one story; its Arabic wing, quite another. In July 2024, after Hezbollah rockets killed nine children in the Israeli town of Majdal Shams, the BBC’s English site mentioned the victims and Israel’s retaliation. BBC Arabic? It omitted the children’s deaths entirely, highlighted Hezbollah’s denials, and the next day suggested Israel might have faked the attack.
Prescott’s letter accuses BBC Arabic of providing a platform to extremists who openly glorify violence against Jews. One contributor, Samer Elzaenen — who once posted “We shall burn you as Hitler did” — appeared on the network 244 times. Another, Ahmed Alagha, who called Jews “devils” and “not human beings,” appeared more than 500 times. Yet BBC executives defended these individuals as “eyewitnesses,” not staff reporters. Prescott wasn’t buying it: “Most viewers would consider hundreds of appearances… to amount to being part of the BBC’s reporting team.”
The report also blasted the BBC for amplifying Hamas propaganda about Gaza’s death toll, long after the United Nations revised down its own inflated statistics. BBC Arabic continued to treat Hamas-run agencies as credible sources, even after internal reviewers warned that claims of Israeli “mass graves” and “genocide” lacked any independent verification.
In one instance, BBC coverage suggested Israeli forces buried thousands of Palestinians in hospital courtyards — a narrative later disproven, as the graves were dug by Palestinians themselves. Another blunder involved a claim that 14,000 babies were “hours from starvation,” when the real number referred to children at risk over a year. The BBC quietly corrected the article online — but repeated the falsehood the same night on “Newsnight.”
Perhaps most damning, the BBC misreported that the International Court of Justice had ruled Israel’s war a “plausible genocide.” That was false — and took months to correct. Former BBC television director Danny Cohen condemned the leadership’s response: “Having made such serious and misleading errors, BBC executives chose to hide them from the public rather than correct the record.”
When internal reviewers flagged these issues, senior managers brushed them aside. Jonathan Munro, the BBC’s news content chief, praised BBC Arabic’s “exceptional journalism” and even bragged it was “almost as trusted as Al Jazeera.” Prescott shot back: “Is Al Jazeera the new gold standard? The BBC exists to reflect British values — not echo Qatar’s propaganda outlet.”
The scandal follows another major credibility crisis for the corporation — a Panorama documentary that doctored a Donald Trump speech to make it appear he incited the Capitol riot. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy and media regulator Ofcom now face growing calls to launch a full investigation into the BBC’s bias and editorial collapse.
As the memo concludes, “The BBC is prone to claiming it gets equal complaints from both sides. But looking at the evidence, it’s hard to argue the BBC is biased toward Israel. Quite the opposite.”
At a time when Britain’s taxpayer-funded broadcaster is supposed to counter global disinformation, it is helping Hamas craft its narrative and eroding trust in one of the nation’s most sacred institutions.

The terror group Hamas returned what it said were three bodies of hostages to Israel on Sunday.
Hamas militants gave the remains, which it said were the bodies of three Israeli soldiers, over to the Red Cross, which brought them into Israel. The prime minister’s office said that the remains would be taken to the Ministry of Health’s National Center for Forensic Medicine for identification.
“All of the hostages&#8217; families have been updated accordingly, and our hearts are with them in this difficult hour. The effort to return our hostages is ongoing and will not cease until the last hostage is returned,” the prime minister’s office <a href="https://x.com/IsraeliPM/status/1985061283482194380">said</a> in a statement. “The public is requested to respect the families&#8217; privacy and to refrain from spreading rumors and unofficial and unverified information.”
The hostage release comes just days after the terror group claimed to have found the remains of three other hostages that it turned over to the Red Cross. Forensic testing conducted on the bodies confirmed that none of the remains belonged to any of the hostages remaining in Gaza, however.
Hamas and Israel struck a ceasefire agreement last month in which Israel agreed to pull back forces from inner Gaza and Hamas agreed to turn over all of its hostages back to Israel, 20 living and 28 dead. While the living were returned, the terror group has returned just 16 of the dead. If the three bodies turned over on Sunday are confirmed, eight more will be left for Hamas to hand over.
Hamas has claimed that it needs time to find the bodies of hostages, which it has said have been buried in some cases below rubble. Drone footage <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/vance-provides-update-on-ceasefire-after-hamas-attack-in-gaza">released</a> last week showed Hamas militants burying remains that were soon dug up again and handed over to the Red Cross.
Israel has accused the terror group of being in breach of the ceasefire agreement for failing to return the hostages. Israel has also conducted strikes within Gaza twice since the ceasefire went into place in retaliation for attacks that have killed several Israeli soldiers.
The Trump administration, which mediated the ceasefire and potential peace proposal between Israel and Hamas, has tamped down concerns that the tit-for-tat strikes will threaten the ceasefire.

The Israeli military said Wednesday that a ceasefire remained in effect after it carried out a series of strikes in Gaza, following the killing of an Israeli soldier by Hamas terrorists a day earlier.
Dozens of terrorists were killed in response to Hamas violations of a ceasefire negotiated by the Trump administration, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) said Wednesday. The strikes came after Israel accused Hamas of lying about the return of the remains of deceased hostages and attacking IDF troops in Rafah. 
“In accordance with the directive of the political echelon, and following a series of strikes, in which dozens of terror targets and terrorists were struck, the IDF has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire in response to Hamas’ violations,” the IDF said in a statement. “As part of the strikes, the IDF and ISA struck 30 terrorists holding command positions within the terrorist organizations operating in Gaza.”
“The IDF will continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement and will respond firmly to any violation of it,” it added. 
The IDF soldier <a href="https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel-at-war/artc-idf-announces-soldier-killed-in-sniper-attack-in-rafah-2">killed</a> on Tuesday by <a href="https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/article-871996">reported</a> Hamas sniper fire was identified as Master Sergeant Yona Efraim Feldbaum, father of five children. 
Commenting on the strikes during his Asia trip, President Donald Trump said that Israel had “a right” to retaliate because “they took out an Israeli soldier.” He added that “nothing’s going to jeopardize” the ceasefire and said that Hamas needed to “behave.” 
“They said they would be good, and if they’re good they’re going to be happy,” Trump said. “And if they’re not good, they’re going to be terminated.”

Vice President JD Vance tamped down concerns about renewed warfare in Gaza on Tuesday after an attack on Israel Defense Forces in the Israeli-controlled territory of the enclave.
The IDF reported that Hamas had launched an attack on Israeli forces behind the so-called “yellow line,” or the line behind which Israel agreed to station its troops as part of a ceasefire with Hamas earlier this month. The attack, which was a breach of the ceasefire agreement, reportedly <a href="https://x.com/AmitSegal/status/1983287827199865230">killed</a> one Israeli soldier.
Vance said during a visit to Capitol Hill on Tuesday that the ceasefire will hold despite the violent flare up.
“The president achieved a historic peace in the Middle East, the ceasefire is holding. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t going to be little skirmishes here and there,” said Vance. “We know that Hamas, or somebody else within Gaza, attacked an IDF soldier. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced airstrikes on Gaza shortly after the attack in retaliation.
“Following security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu has directed the military to immediately carry out forceful strikes in the Gaza Strip,” an <a href="https://www.gov.il/en/pages/spoke-pm281025">announcement</a> from the prime minister’s office read.
Hospitals in Gaza reported that at least 20 people were killed in the Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday. It is unclear how reliable the numbers are after Hamas&#8217; data on the war has repeatedly been <a href="https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2024/04/09/hamas-run-gaza-health-ministry-admits-to-flaws-in-casualty-data/">found</a> to be flawed.

The violence came after an earlier ceasefire violation from Hamas in which the terror group buried the remains of an Israeli hostage before calling the Red Cross to come and “discover” the body. Israel released drone <a href="https://x.com/AmitSegal/status/1983154969026146642">footage</a> capturing Hamas terrorists hiding the hostage remains. The footage appears to show members of the Red Cross standing by as dirt is dumped over a white sheet.
The IDF said in a statement that the terror group is “is attempting to create a false impression of efforts to locate the bodies,” according to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/10/28/middleeast/israel-military-strikes-gaza-latam-intl">CNN</a>.
The Red Cross also denounced the act in a statement: “It is unacceptable that a fake recovery was staged, when so much depends on this agreement being upheld and when so many families are still anxiously awaiting news of their loved ones.”

The evidence is chilling. Federal prosecutors revealed al-Muhtadi’s cell phone was geolocated near Kibbutz Kfar Aza, the site of one of the deadliest Hamas-led slaughters on Oct. 7, where 60 innocents — some of them Americans — were butchered. FBI documents show al-Muhtadi issued battlefield-style commands over messaging apps: “Bring the rifles,” “get ready,” and “If you have a full magazine, bring it to me.” He wasn&#8217;t just a foot soldier. He was organizing fighters.
And yet, this man — an open member of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) — was granted a visa and green card by the Biden administration after applying in Cairo. His social media? Filled with images of him in fatigues, training with Russian weapons. All of this slipped past the State Department’s so-called “vetting.”
Al-Muhtadi entered through Dallas-Fort Worth in September 2024, lived in Tulsa, then Lafayette, Louisiana — where he was working in a restaurant when federal agents finally caught up with him. Cotton warned that al-Muhtadi is just one of many who may have quietly slipped into the U.S. under Biden’s lax oversight.
Cotton is now demanding a real-time terrorist watchlist that would proactively screen applicants from extremist-linked regions and immediate enhanced social media checks. &#8220;No terrorist should be able to slip through undetected,&#8221; he wrote, urging DHS and the FBI to coordinate.
This isn’t the first time Cotton’s led the charge on national security. In July, as pro-Hamas mobs defaced U.S. monuments and waved terrorist flags in D.C., Cotton introduced the No Visas for Violent Criminals Act, mandating deportation within 60 days for foreign nationals convicted of protest-related crimes. And last December, he introduced a bill requiring the U.S. to drop the term “West Bank” in favor of “Judea and Samaria,” reinforcing historical Jewish claims to the land.
Cotton’s broader message? America was at risk — not because terrorists are sneaking across borders—but because they were being invited in by a government asleep at the switch. The Biden administration’s blind spots weren’t just ideological — they were lethal.

Vice President JD Vance promised again on Tuesday that no American troops would be deployed to Gaza as Hamas tests the limits of the ceasefire with Israel that was brokered by President Donald Trump.
Vance met with Israeli leaders in southern Israel to discuss the ceasefire and hostage deal, saying at a press conference that he’s “optimistic” that the agreement will hold. The vice president then assured the American people that the Trump administration would not deploy U.S. forces to Gaza.
“I think it&#8217;s important for Americans to know a couple of things. Number one: there are not going to be American boots on the ground in Gaza,” Vance said. “The President of the United States has made that very clear. All of our military leadership has made that very clear.”
“What we can do is provide some useful coordination,” he added, saying that the United States would continue to act as a mediator between the Gulf Arab states, Egypt, Turkey, and Israel.
“The only real mediators are the United States of America. That’s the role that we’re going to play [that] I think the American people should be proud of,” Vance said. “But they should know that there are going to be no American boots on the ground in Gaza.”

President Donald Trump delivered a stark warning to Hamas on Tuesday, vowing that if the terrorist group keeps violating his peace deal, “an end to Hamas will be FAST, FURIOUS, &amp; BRUTAL!”
Trump pointed out that many countries had signed on to the agreement and told him, “explicitly and strongly, with great enthusiasm &#8230;  that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to go into GAZA with a heavy force and ‘straighten out Hamas’ if Hamas continues to act badly, in violation of their agreement with us.”

On Sunday, Hamas terrorists emerged from a tunnel and fatally shot two Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers. Professor Kobi Michael, a senior researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) and the Misgav Institute, told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/two-idf-soldiers-killed-amid-severe-ceasefire-violation-its-not-last-analyst-says">Fox News Digital</a>  that the IDF — positioned along the Yellow Line marking the boundary between Israel and Gaza — was immediately tested by Hamas, which “first sent [civilian] children in order to provoke the IDF, in order to check if the IDF is aware enough and ready enough.”
“And then they sent militants of Hamas, and some of them were even killed along the yellow line,” he continued, adding:

“On October 13, the Hamas-affiliated Arrow Unit publicly executed eight members of Gaza’s Doghmush clan on charges of allegedly collaborating with Israel,” the Foundation for Defense of Democracies <a href="https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2025/10/15/hamas-cracks-down-on-rival-clans-and-militias-in-gaza/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">reported</a>. “Since the ceasefire between Palestinian factions and Israel went into effect on October 10, Hamas has carried out a campaign of punishment against clans, militias, and individuals in the Gaza Strip that it has accused of ‘opposing the resistance.’ &#8230; The Arrow Unit also warned that it would continue to target the Doghmush clan, the <a href="https://t.me/saheem103/1242">Abu Samra</a> and <a href="https://t.me/saheem103/1243">Hallas</a> families, and others who opposed Hamas during the war.”

Speaking on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Trump negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff bluntly rebutted the charge of “genocide” that has been hurled at Israel as it fought its war of survival against the terrorist group Hamas.
Asked by host Lesley Stahl, “Would you say now, having been there, that it was genocide?,” Kushner declared, “No. No,” as Witkoff added, “Absolutely not. No, no, there was a war being fought.”
Kushner detailed what his team sees as the next phase after the cease-fire they arranged, which allowed Israeli hostages taken by Hamas to be returned.
“You can&#8217;t replace a corrupt government with another corrupt government,” Kushner said of Hamas. “So the goal here is to set up a transparent, good government. This can be very, very difficult to do, but we&#8217;re in the very early phases of trying to accomplish that.&#8221;
Stahl said, “Part of the plan is the reconstruction, the building, rebuilding of Gaza. And — you&#8217;re builders. You&#8217;ve been in real estate. As you said, it&#8217;s extremely complex. Tell us more about the plan and how much it&#8217;s gonna cost. Where is the money gonna come from? And who&#8217;s gonna award the contracts?”

“You know, the estimates are in the $50 billion range,” Witkoff replied. “It might be a little bit less; it might be a little bit more. I happen to think that that&#8217;s not a lot of money in that region. You have governments that are gonna jump on in &#8230; you&#8217;ll see European participation and so forth.”
“We have plans already,” he continued. “We have a master plan already. And by the way — and Jared&#8217;s been pushing this and we&#8217;re working together on it — and I think if the world saw the progress so far they&#8217;d be pretty impressed.”
“By the way, none of the reconstruction money is gonna be going in until you have terror-free zones, because nobody wants to invest this money into a place where it&#8217;s just gonna get destroyed again by terrorism,” Witkoff elaborated.
“If Gaza is starting to show signs of being peaceful and not a threat to Israel, there&#8217;s nothing more that Israel would like more than to not have to have a heavy military presence there,” Kushner said.
Stahl turned to the antisemitism that has mushroomed since the October 7 Hamas massacre of more than 1200 Israelis, saying, “It seems that this war has created a rash of antisemitism everywhere.”
“Well, that&#8217;s unacceptable,” Witkoff replied.
“And it&#8217;s even going on in the United States of America,” Stahl pointed out.
“Well, that&#8217;s my point,” Witkoff said, then emphasized that President Trump agreed, adding, “That&#8217;s unacceptable. And that&#8217;s the president&#8217;s position.&#8221;

Vice President JD Vance is expected to visit the Middle East on Tuesday to push the second phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as it teeters on renewed violence from the terror group.
Israel accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire on Sunday after militants appeared out of a tunnel in Israeli-controlled territory in Gaza and killed two Israeli soldiers in an anti-tank rocket attack. In response, the Israeli military launched around 20 airstrikes across Gaza, according to <a href="https://www.axios.com/2025/10/19/trump-gaza-deal-hamas-israel">Axios</a>.
Hamas did not deny the attack, though it said that it was carried out by a faction or militants that were not acting on orders from Hamas leadership.
“We are not aware of any incidents or clashes taking place in the Rafah area, because these are zones under Israeli control, and contact has been severed with our groups that remained there,” Hamas said in a statement, according to Axios.

In addition to the attack, Hamas continues to be in violation of phase one of the ceasefire deal by failing to return all the bodies of the deceased hostages. About half of the deceased remain in Gaza, and the terror group has said it needs more time to locate them.
The United States and Israel have made separate accusations against the terror group in recent days of violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement that saw Israel withdraw from roughly half of Gaza and release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
The U.S. State Department on Saturday said in a <a href="https://x.com/StateDept/status/1979670820042559983">statement</a> that the “United States has informed the guarantor nations of the Gaza peace agreement of credible reports indicating an imminent ceasefire violation by Hamas against the people of Gaza.”
The State Department&#8217;s statement is “likely related to Hamas&#8217; crackdown on the Palestinian population since the ceasefire went into effect,” <a href="https://x.com/JoeTruzman/status/1979675424017035309">according</a> to Foundation for Defense of Democracies senior research analyst Joe Truzman.
Since the ceasefire officially began last week, videos have surfaced on social media of Hamas militants publicly executing or brutally beating Gazans. In one <a href="https://x.com/JoeTruzman/status/1979627362645082376">video</a>, militants drop large rocks on a man’s legs before beating him with a pipe.
Trump has repeatedly said that Hamas will disarm, or they will be disarmed. He repeated that promise in an interview with Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” that aired on Sunday.
“They promised they would [disarm]. They said they would. It&#8217;s [written] down that they would,” <a href="https://x.com/Osint613/status/1979919036847718410">said</a> Trump. “If we have to, we&#8217;ll disarm them.”
He clarified that the United States would not send soldiers into Gaza and that a proxy could fight Hamas: “Could be Israel with our backing. We won&#8217;t have boots on the ground. There&#8217;s no reason to.”
The actions of Hamas militants inside and outside its zone of control in the Gaza Strip have strained the already tenuous ceasefire in place between the terror group and Israel. Vance is expected to visit Israel with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff to provide more direct oversight of the terms of the peace agreement.
One major point of tension in the peace process is the requirement that Hamas be disarmed.
“There is no security infrastructure currently that would ensure Hamas is disarmed,” Vance <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/416493">said</a> on Sunday evening.

President Donald Trump said Sunday night that the ceasefire was still in place after Israel launched strikes in Gaza after accusing Hamas of opening fire on its soldiers over the weekend. 
Israel attacked parts of Gaza on Sunday after accusing Hamas terrorists of killing two Israel Defense Forces soldiers operating in Rafah. Despite the back-and-forth, Trump told reporters on Air Force One that the ceasefire was still in place. 
“We&#8217;re going to have to see what’s happening. We want to make sure that it&#8217;s going to be very peaceful with Hamas and as you know, they&#8217;ve been quite rambunctious,” he said. “They&#8217;ve been doing some shooting and we think maybe the leadership isn&#8217;t involved in that. You know, some rebels within, but either way, it&#8217;s going to be handled properly. It&#8217;s going to be handled toughly but properly.”
Later on, when asked by a reporter if he believed the Israeli strikes were justified, Trump said that he would “have to get back to you on that.” 
The IDF said Sunday that terrorists launched anti-tank missiles and gunfire at its troops working to “dismantle terrorist infrastructure” in southern Gaza.

“In response, the IDF has begun striking in the area to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity,” the IDF <a href="https://x.com/IDF/status/1979872480056504512">said</a>. “These terrorist actions constitute a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, and the IDF will respond firmly.”
The IDF later said that these strikes were directed toward weapons storage facilities, firing posts, terrorist cells, and terror infrastructure. It also took out about six kilometers of “underground terrorist infrastructure,” the IDF said. 
Vice President JD Vance, who is expected to travel to Israel on Tuesday, said Sunday that there were still a lot of moving parts on the ground in Gaza that complicated the ceasefire. 
“We don&#8217;t actually know even what the reality on the ground is there. When we talk about Hamas, you&#8217;re talking about 40 different cells. It&#8217;s disjointed. Some of those cells will probably honor the ceasefire. Many of those cells, as we saw some evidence of today, will not. Before we actually can ensure that Hamas is properly disarmed that&#8217;s going to require, as we know, some of these Gulf Arab states, to get forces in there to actually apply some law and order and some security keeping on the ground.”
Vance also said that the ceasefire would likely include “fits and starts” because members of Hamas would fire on Israel, and Israel would have to respond.

Morning Wire spoke with Seamus Bruner, director of research at GAI and author of the book “Contrologarchs,” about the dollar trail. (The following transcript has been lightly edited for clarity.)
Morning Wire: With all the noise surrounding these No Kings protests, your team dug into the organizations conducting them. What did you find?
Bruner: What we found is that these are extremely well-funded, these organizations. We calculated over $200 million, really closer to $300 million in the last five years has gone into the partner organization. This is basically anything but grassroots.
Morning Wire: Right – and this is part of a larger pattern when it comes to left-wing protests. You guys have tracked that, what you’ve been calling Riot Inc., which includes events like the No Kings protest. Unpack that for us. Who is behind this exactly?
Bruner: Yeah, so the main person who keeps coming up is George Soros. And we thought, well, it&#8217;s not just George Soros and his Open Society institutes. He&#8217;s a main financier of all kinds of left-wing projects, including the protest industrial complex. But there&#8217;s also this Arabella network. … They are a major financier of these protest movements and groups. There&#8217;s also the Tides funding network, the Ford Foundation funding network – we&#8217;ve looked at probably a dozen or so funding networks with more than $10 billion flowing through these accounts. But the main ones we put into our report were the Soros, Arabella, Tides, and a few other funding networks.
Morning Wire: We&#8217;ve had lots of leftwing protests over the years get very, very violent. Is there a sense that there is going to be some accountability for these institutions funding these protests?
Bruner: That&#8217;s my sense. I was at the White House last week talking with President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. They all seem very locked in on this issue, wanting to get to the money, not just the boots on the ground and the people committing the violence, but who is financing this. I&#8217;ve spoken with some people at Homeland Security Investigations. They seem to be very interested in the follow-the-money aspect. I think that they are working their way up.
Morning Wire: Related to that – we’ve just seen the Trump administration label &#8220;Antifa&#8221; a terrorist organization. How does that impact the sense that, again, there&#8217;s going to be some movement in terms of tracking down and holding accountable some of these groups funding things that turn violent?
Bruner: At the end of the day, the people who they arrest, whether they’re domestic terrorists or not, are going to be charged with violent crimes. These are the people who are assaulting ICE officers, setting fire to cars and buildings. And so I don’t think that they’re going to be arresting anybody as a domestic terrorist who hasn’t actually committed some sort of crime.
Morning Wire: The Democrats counter this by claiming that &#8220;Antifa&#8221; is actually a myth. It&#8217;s not actually an organization and thus a false label. What&#8217;s your response to that?
Bruner: It’s preposterous to say that Antifa isn’t an organization just because it doesn’t have an LLC or EIN or some sort of corporate entity. There’s all kinds of groups that don&#8217;t have corporate entities that can be investigated as organizations. … But law enforcement has the tools to follow the money even in those ways that we don’t.

Topline: Vice President JD Vance is set to visit the Middle East this week as violent clashes in Gaza buffet President Trump’s historic Middle East peace deal.
The first violation: The State Department said in a <a href="https://x.com/StateDept/status/1979670820042559983">statement</a> on Saturday that: “The United States has informed the guarantor nations of the Gaza peace agreement of credible reports indicating an imminent ceasefire violation by Hamas against the people of Gaza.”
The warning from the State Department comes after videos have surfaced on social media over the past week of Hamas militants conducting public executions or essentially torturing Gazans for alleged crimes.
President Donald Trump said in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” that Hamas will be disarmed one way or another.
“They promised they would [disarm]. They said they would. It&#8217;s [written] down that they would,” <a href="https://x.com/Osint613/status/1979919036847718410">said</a> Trump. “If we have to, we&#8217;ll disarm them.”
He clarified that the United States would not send soldiers into Gaza and that a proxy could fight Hamas: “Could be Israel with our backing. We won&#8217;t have boots on the ground. There&#8217;s no reason to.”
The second violation: Israel has accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire for attacks against the IDF.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with his security cabinet on Sunday to discuss the future of the ceasefire. The IDF is still holding behind the so-called “yellow line” that was agreed upon as part of the first phase of the truce.
According to the IDF, Hamas militants came out of a tunnel in IDF territory and fired an anti-tank rocket at Israeli forces that killed two soldiers. Israel responded by launching around 20 airstrikes across Gaza.
Hamas didn’t deny the attack; the terrorist group said that because it happened in an area under Israeli control, “contact has been severed with our groups that remained there.”
Future of peace: Trump is still optimistic about his plan for peace in the Middle East. The U.S. military is in the region watching over the ceasefire. Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff will be in Israel this week to monitor the ceasefire closely.
Despite the chaos, Trump has said he expects an expansion of the Abraham Accords soon.
