Democrats have always hated President Trump. But now many Republicans and most independents seem upset with him, too.
Part of that is because Trump&#8217;s the guy in power, and Republicans run both houses of Congress. I get it. 
But there seems to be this bizarre idea that has run amok in America that woke is in remission and that the craziest parts of the Left have been defeated.
This is dead wrong.
The radical Left is waiting. They&#8217;re barely biding their time. They&#8217;re barely hiding it. They&#8217;re metastasizing. 
And they are worse than they were in 2024. They&#8217;re not moderating; they have not been excised. They are worse.

They&#8217;re getting ready to burst free at the first available opportunity with all of their insanity — and their violence.
Bill Burr is an indicator of this. He used to be funny. And then he decided it was very, very important for his radical Left bona fides to be displayed in public. 
This is a person who is criticizing CEOs for receiving security. Last year, he said Luigi Mangione should be freed for murdering a young father on the streets of New York because that young man was the CEO of a health insurance company.
“If you look at all of this stuff, like the response to the Luigi thing was not to be like, ‘Well, hey, maybe we need to look at what we&#8217;re doing if what we&#8217;re doing makes some crazy person do this,&#8217;” he declared. “Their response was to take their faces off of the internet and get security. It&#8217;s like, you don&#8217;t think you need to examine — you know what I mean? It&#8217;s like you&#8217;re not the president. You&#8217;re just the CEO of a business.”
Jackass.
He celebrated the murderer, and his next question is, &#8220;Why are CEOs getting security?&#8221; Shouldn&#8217;t they get security? Should they look inside themselves as they&#8217;re bleeding out on the sidewalk of New York and realize that probably they had it coming?
Burr has berated shoe manufacturers, saying, “They went with cheaper leather, you know what I mean? Because some corporate f*ck had to give himself a f*cking bonus check at the end of the year. ‘What if we made it worse but made it look the same? Then could our pools be bigger?’ Free Luigi!” 
He uses “Free Luigi” as his punchline for all of his socialist crap. He&#8217;s gotten rich by telling jokes, but he says this all the time. He goes around shouting “Free Luigi!”
Luigi Mangione murdered a man in cold blood for the crime of being the head of a health insurance company. 
Burr is still seen as some sort of arbiter of truth because comedians are our great truth tellers in our dumb civilization. 
Here&#8217;s Bill Burr doing the same exact thing just last year: “They’re talking about looting. But CNN and Fox News are not going to bring up the insurance companies that are just going to keep everybody&#8217;s premiums and still get themselves a bonus. Free Luigi!”
That&#8217;s not a punchline, but he treats it as a punchline because the truth is, he&#8217;s fine with that. He literally told Rolling Stone that America requires a “bloodbath.” 
Remember, Bill Burr is a well-established part of the entertainment culture. Bill Burr and the Hasan Pikers of the world are representative of a broad swath of the Left.
This is why when I see Republicans who are discouraged or upset about the Trump administration, they should remember: You don&#8217;t have to love everything that Trump has done. You don&#8217;t even have to agree with most things that Trump has done. 
Just understand what&#8217;s on the other side of that door. 
What&#8217;s on the other side of that door is deep and insane radicalism. 
This is not a minority position in the Democratic Party. There is a poll that was done by the Center for Strategic Politics and Liberal Currents this week, and it showed that if they had been told that Donald Trump had been assassinated while speaking at a rally, 32% of Democrats would be happy and another 25% of Democrats would have no feeling about it at all, neither positive nor negative.
If they were told that there had been a military coup, and that the president of the United States had been removed by the heads of the military, 59% of Democrats would be happy, and another 13% would be indifferent.
This is not a minority position. Their revolutionary insanity is taking over. 
There&#8217;s a story that came out in the Boston Globe that has apparently shattered all of their records in terms of subscriptions because it demonstrates full-scale how psychotic the bleeding edge of the Left is. It was about a Western Massachusetts lesbian bar that had required, since it opened, KN-95 masks.
The year is now 2026. The COVID pandemic was basically over by 2021. 
This particular story is indicative of the mindset of the bleeding edge of the Democratic Party that, if given power, will be nuts.
The bar had been telling everyone they needed to mask up since it opened, and then they relaxed it. 
Things went crazy. According to the Boston Globe, one commenter wrote, “Just say you&#8217;re being complicit in a mass disabling event and get it over with.” Another posted, “People like you killed disabled people in the name of your own leisure and convenience.” A third wrote, “I hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue from ableist.”
Two days later, the bar posted an apology. But instead of diffusing the situation, the apology made things worse. The bar had posted an Instagram card without providing alternative text for the visually impaired.
This set off a fresh round of accusations of ableism. 
One of the owners wound up enrolling in clown school.
No, I am not kidding. 
Why do I relate that story? Because at its root, this is what the Democratic Party is. It is Bill Burr saying that CEOs should not have security, but also should be shot on the streets. It is people at a lesbian bar ripping on each other for having a maskless night in 2026. 
That is where we are now. 
There was a hearing in the Senate about trans people in sports, meaning boys who want to play with girls. Nearly every Democrat boycotted it.
I have been told the Democrats have become sane and rational again. 
No, they absolutely have not. 
Understand this: If Democrats take over, it will be crazier than ever. 
It is not going back to Bill Clinton in 1996. That is nowhere in sight. We are so far beyond that point that it makes your head spin.
The Democrats are just waiting for their chance to do it all over again. 
And if we do not vote in droves, they will get it.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) just dropped a major hint about her 2028 presidential ambitions.
The New York City Democrat said she will begin seriously deliberating a possible White House run after the November midterms, weighing the math as she calculates her next political move.
“There’s an argument that some make that this is a very unique political window and, oftentimes in politics, you do only get one shot,” she <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/22/us/politics/aoc-2028-presidential-race.html">told</a> The New York Times in an interview published Tuesday. 
“Life doesn’t wait for you to be ready for things,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Sometimes life just makes things ready for you.”
AOC was the youngest woman ever elected to Congress at 29 and is now nearing the end of her eighth year representing New York’s 14th Congressional District, which covers parts of the Bronx and Queens.
Political insiders are watching closely to see whether the socialist stays put, challenges Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), or goes all in on a White House bid as Democratic voters revolt against the party&#8217;s establishment. 
Ocasio-Cortez, however, appeared candid about the challenges she could face in a presidential campaign in a country that has never elected a woman as president.
“I think about it personally,” she told the outlet. “I am 36, I’m about to turn 37 years old — and what that means for my life.”
“Pretty candidly, I think about my identity,” she continued. “I’m not naïve to the fact that we are living under a very regressive administration, and I happen to be a woman&#8230; and I happen to be Latina. And I think that there’s a lot of conversation about electability, and I don’t kind of shy away from those realities.”
President Donald Trump defeated both female Democratic presidential nominees, first Hillary Clinton in 2016 and then Kamala Harris in 2024.
“If you’re asking me about the things that I weigh, of course, that’s part of what I weigh,” she told the Times when asked about running as a woman. “It’s funny because it’s kind of like, everyone else is allowed to talk about it, but I’m not?”
The renewed presidential speculation comes weeks after Ocasio-Cortez publicly documented her <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/aoc-freezes-her-eggs-after-telling-others-to-question-having-kids">egg-freezing journey</a> as she gears up to boost Democrats in November. She has said the decision to freeze her eggs was partly about gaining more control over her personal and political future.
Ocasio-Cortez is expected to campaign with Democrats in the final weeks leading up to the midterms and has donated $300,000 to a coordinated campaign fund run by Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul to conduct voter-organization activities, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/aoc-hints-at-possible-2028-run-but-not-for-president">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported. 
Races across New York could play a role in determining which party controls the House, as both parties pour resources into competitive races across the state. Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) faces a challenge from Democrat Cait Conley, while Republicans are <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republicans-make-play-for-house-seat-democrats-cant-afford-to-lose">attempting</a> to pick up a seat on Long Island.
For AOC, the results of the November elections could decide her political future.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to keep her political brand strong ahead of the 2026 midterms, but a growing number of Democratic candidates are making clear they would rather campaign without her.
Harris has attempted to step up her involvement in competitive races as she considers another presidential run in 2028. But Democrats running in some of the very states where the party is trying to expand have publicly rejected or distanced themselves from her.
The list includes Democratic candidates in Iowa, Alaska, and Kansas, as well as in states Harris&#8217;s own team has flagged as targets for her help.
In Iowa, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Rob Sand told <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2026/08/26/iowa-governor-rob-sand-state-fair-01049432">Politico</a> he did not want Harris campaigning for him and said, “Let’s move on. We need some new leadership.” Senate nominee Josh Turek was even more succinct when asked whether he wanted Harris to campaign for him.
“No,” Turek <a href="https://www.c-span.org/program/campaign-2026/iowa-us-senate-candidate-josh-turek-d-ia-speaks-to-reporters-in-cedar-rapids/684486">said</a> before laughing.
In Kansas, Democratic Senate nominee Adam Hamilton told <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2026/09/03/kamala-harris-midterms-democrats-01063010">Politico</a> that his campaign is focused on appealing to Republicans and running a Kansas-centered campaign. He said Republican voters in the state may have a different worldview from Harris. “Having somebody from California come in and try to tell Kansans who they should vote for is a pretty bad idea,” Hamilton said.
Alaska Democrat Mary Peltola also pushed back after Harris’s political operation sent a fundraising appeal on her behalf. Peltola’s campaign <a href="https://www.alaskasnewssource.com/2026/08/14/peltola-pushes-back-against-kamala-harris-support-saying-she-isnt-looking-an-endorsement-former-vice-president/">said</a> she “isn&#8217;t seeking endorsements from anyone from the Lower 48” and emphasized her focus on Alaska.
The distancing is not limited to states where Democrats are trying to win traditionally Republican territory.
According to The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/22/us/politics/kamala-harris-el-sayed-michigan-midterms.html">New York Times</a>, Harris aides circulated a donor document identifying Democratic candidates in states including Texas and Arizona as potential beneficiaries of her midterm travel and fundraising efforts. But aides to Texas Senate nominee James Talarico, Texas gubernatorial nominee Gina Hinojosa, and Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs told the Times that they did not want Harris to campaign with them.
Harris herself has acknowledged the awkward situation. “I support them in doing whatever they need to do to win,” she said in an interview with <a href="https://www.ms.now/news/kamala-harris-midterms-democrats-2028">MS NOW</a> earlier this month when asked about Democrats who had rejected her support. “I look forward to being on the trail and helping folks where I can be helpful.”
Despite the sentiment in most competitive races, it’s not all benchwarming for the former vice president; Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed scheduled a campaign stop with Harris in Detroit on Tuesday. She already joined El-Sayed for a black maternal health roundtable and an NAACP event focused on voter turnout. El-Sayed said Harris understood the tensions surrounding the Biden administration’s approach to the Israel-Hamas war and described her appearance as an opportunity to bring Democrats together.
Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) is also welcoming Harris. His campaign said he was “grateful for Vice President Harris’ help and support,” and Harris is scheduled to campaign with him in Georgia in October as Harris simultaneously weighs another presidential campaign. She <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2028-election/kamala-harris-confirms-might-run-president-2028-rcna273682">said in April</a> that she was “thinking about” a 2028 bid and has since increased her political activity. 
The 2026 campaign trail therefore offers Harris an opportunity to rebuild a national political network — but it is also exposing the limits of where Democratic candidates currently want her involved.

According to a recent Center for Strategic Politics survey, Democrats are willing to do just about anything to remove their great Trump toothache and take back power. A <a href="https://x.com/robkhenderson/status/2053229277592641745">YouGov</a> poll shows 42% of liberals believe violence is somewhat justified to achieve political goals. Researchers at Rutgers <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/gender-ideology-and-left-wing-authoritarianism">found</a> that stronger endorsement of gender-affirming dogma tracked with greater willingness to justify political violence. Fifty-nine percent of Democrats say abortion should always be legal, with no restrictions, because really, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-new-yorkers-dangerous-ambiguity-about-when-life-begins">what even is pregnancy</a>, anyway?
A third of that coalition does not care whether you live or die. They hold no regard for the well-being of people they find disagreeable. They inhabit a binary world where they are right and we are wrong and disagreement is grounds for death.
They sound a lot like jihadists.
Jihadists who resort to violence against those they declare illegitimate. Jihadists who first try to conquer by the sword, but will settle for a slower, immigration invasion, if need be. Jihadists who dole out mercy only to the obedient.
You know who calls that work jihad? Hamas. Guess what percentage of U.S. Muslims hold a <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2026/07/09/americans-views-of-israelis-have-grown-increasingly-negative-but-views-of-palestinians-have-held-fairly-steady/">favorable view</a> of Hamas? 44%. Guess which way that sympathy tends to <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2025/07/21/muslim-americans-share-political-attitudes-with-both-the-democratic-and-republican-parties/">vote</a>? I’ll let you speculate.
Jihadists invoke dar al-Islam. The campus, elitist, aggrieved Left invokes an imaginary “threat to democracy.” But both demand your submission, or they’ll treat you as an enemy of the future.
These midterms, let’s pray the lone, sane Republican Party isn’t crushed under the rind.

Behind the scenes, several people who worked closely with former Vice President Kamala Harris remain skeptical that she will launch another bid for the White House in 2028.
Although early <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/democratic-primary/2028/national">polls</a> show Harris leading the Democratic field for the nomination, a number of her former aides, advisers, surrogates, and donors do not expect her to run again, according to <a href="https://www.axios.com/2026/09/20/kamala-harris-ex-aides-2028-campaign">Axios</a>.
The outlet spoke with eight former Harris aides and advisers, including several who held senior positions, about her prospects for another presidential campaign. Only one said she would probably run. Two viewed the decision as a toss-up, and five said she was unlikely to enter the race.
The former aides cited several factors, including Harris keeping a low profile and doing “the bare minimum” to stay relevant in the presidential sweepstakes. Potential presidential contenders have traditionally spent the pre-primary period building support in early-voting states such as New Hampshire and South Carolina and campaigning for their party’s candidates in midterm elections. Since her stinging election loss, Harris has gone on a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-turns-on-biden-in-first-excerpt-from-new-memoir-it-was-recklessness">book tour</a> and is expected to <a href="https://abcnews.com/Politics/wireStory/kamala-harris-campaign-michigan-abdul-el-sayed-136505991">campaign</a> with Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed for Michigan&#8217;s contentious U.S. Senate race.
One former aide told Axios that Harris knows the political challenges she would face in another campaign. The 2028 Democratic primary is expected to be crowded, and Harris would have to convince Democratic voters she could win a general election after losing all seven key battleground states plus the national popular vote to President Donald Trump.
The Harris allies also pointed to fundraising concerns. Some major Democratic donors remain reluctant to support another Harris campaign, while others may be lining up behind other contenders such as Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and California Gov. Gavin Newsom. At a Politico panel earlier this month, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman threw cold water on another Harris campaign. 
“I think it would be a very challenging path for her, and it’s going to be a very noisy field,” Hoffman <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2026/09/16/linkedin-co-founder-hoffman-queries-harris-2028-prospects-01078970">said</a>.
His negative assessment came days after Newsom <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gavin-newsom-promises-not-to-run-for-president-if-kamala-wants-it?author=Brecca+Stoll&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Gavin+Newsom+Promises+Not+To+Run+For+President+If+Kamala+Wants+It">said</a> he&#8217;d defer to Harris, insisting he would not run if she threw her hat into the ring.
“I wouldn’t run if she ran,” Newsom told CNN’s Jake Tapper in a viral interview recorded while the two were fly-fishing in Montana.
Tapper later <a href="https://keyt.com/politics/cnn-us-politics/2026/09/14/out-of-office-fishing-with-gavin-newsom-as-he-contemplates-2028-presidential-run-2/">wrote</a> that he was “stunned” by Newsom’s answer.
“Why would I?” Newsom continued. “I won&#8217;t waste everyone’s time.”
Newsom argued that a primary contest between the two California Democrats would benefit Republicans and force their overlapping political allies to choose sides.
“First of all, electorally, it’s a gift from God for everybody else,” Newsom said. “They’d enjoy the hell out of it. Mutually assured destruction. It serves no greater good.”

Well, at least their consultants aren’t stupid (generally speaking).
Every Democrat campaign (and Republican campaign, for that matter) has the polling and data in front of them. They know that among voters’ top concerns going into November are the cost of living, affordability, and the economy.
Which is why every Democrat running is promising to “lower costs” for families and focus on affordability.
The truth is Democrats have no plan to lower costs.
In fact, the Democrat agenda promises the opposite: Expensive, tax-hiking policies that will do anything but make it easier for American families to make ends meet.
Congressional Democrats recently released their <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/4732474/three-potential-healthcare-priorities-democrats-retake-house/#google_vignette">top three health care proposals</a> if they retake the House of Representatives.
Socialized, government-run health care, otherwise known as “Medicare for All,” made the list.
“Medicare for All” is estimated to cost <a href="https://www.americanactionforum.org/research/medicare-for-all-an-updated-coverage-and-budget-analysis/">$47 trillion</a> over the next 10 years. Over 65% of U.S. households would end up worse financially, and the income tax would increase at least 20% for every working American, according to the <a href="https://www.americanactionforum.org/research/medicare-for-all-an-updated-coverage-and-budget-analysis/">Heritage Foundation</a>.
Democrats are also openly campaigning on raising federal taxes.
What Democrats call “repealing President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill” (OBBB) is, in reality, repealing the largest tax cut in American history.
Across the country, in every single state, <a href="https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/federal/obbba-average-tax-cuts-impact-map/">families save thousands of dollars</a> every single year thanks to the OBBB.
Repealing it, which nearly every Democrat candidate promises to do, means raising taxes on working families.
Then there are the policies Democrats aren’t openly discussing ahead of November.
Again, Democrats aren’t stupid, which is why “<a href="https://insideclimatenews.org/news/24062026/analysis-shows-democrats-embrace-climate-hushing/">climate hushing</a>,” or not openly discussing expensive energy policies, is the new midterm strategy for the Left.
Are we to believe that once Democrats are in power, they will not pursue their beloved, tax-hiking Green New Deal?
I’d sooner believe Joe Biden was doing handstands and jumping jacks on the White House lawn at 5 am and running circles around his staff.
What about the counterargument from conservatives who feel frustrated with a Republican majority that hasn’t done enough to tackle high prices?
First, President Trump <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/declaring-a-national-emergency-at-the-southern-border-of-the-united-states/">closed the border</a> as one of his first actions in his second term. In 2024, the <a href="https://budget.house.gov/press-release/the-cost-of-the-border-crisis-1507-billion-and-counting">House Budget Committee</a> estimated the cost of an open border to taxpayers at over $150 billion, with <a href="https://www.congress.gov/118/meeting/house/117257/witnesses/HHRG-118-BU00-Wstate-KirchnerJ-20240508.pdf">state and local governments</a> absorbing the biggest financial blows, primarily through K-12 public education costs. Closing the border means saving billions of taxpayer dollars.
Second: High gas prices.
This goes back to the United States’ dependence on foreign oil, and Democrats’ war on domestic oil and gas. No Democrat will support opening up federal lands to drilling.
Only Republicans acknowledge the necessity of clean coal, which currently generates <a href="https://naturalresources.house.gov/issues/issue/?IssueID=5918#:~:text=Republicans%2520support%2520increasing%2520the%2520supply,drilling%2520moratorium%2520in%2520the%2520Gulf.">nearly half</a> of America’s electricity. Democrats are intent upon getting rid of coal completely, which means higher electricity bills for American families.
Reforming the slow federal permitting process for pipelines and natural gas facilities is also a must. Domestic energy is practically worthless if American households cannot access it.
For example, New England sits near North America’s largest natural gas field, the Marcellus, but limited pipeline capacity in the region leaves it more dependent on imported liquefied natural gas from foreign adversaries.
These reforms will only happen under a Republican-controlled Congress.
Third, the harsh reality of inflation is that even if it is coming down, and even if wages are rising (both are happening now), that does not instantly translate to lower prices.
It’s more complex and has roots in the COVID-19 manufacturing shutdowns and state lockdowns (which Democrats hailed) that disrupted both the demand side (i.e., spending) and supply chains. Production shortages caused prices to rise. Our leaders&#8217; solution was to print and spend trillions of dollars we did not have, including through the American Rescue Plan Act and the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. Then came the war in Ukraine in 2022, which exacerbated the problem.
Part of the solution, rightly identified by President Trump, is for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates.
But it also requires a government that is intent upon spending less and returning more to the American people — and not in the form of more stimulus checks.
That will only happen with Republican majorities.
Lastly, this is not your grandparents’ Democrat Party.
This is the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) that is committed to pursuing a <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/dsa-platform-could-cost-up-212t-over-decade-analysis-finds?fbclid=IwY2xjawUaOyxwZG9mBWV4dG4DYWVtAjEwAGJyaWQRMXoza0Y4QzlkenV5b3V3RUdzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeak8pZB8-Y2YYhgspDarm5I3wXLrj0AmzD6Id7iBmJINMfQkrAnCzo74GaVA_aem_zbkrLfYp4cb5uvLlmMvb5A">$212 trillion agenda</a>.
The DSA occupies a space further Left than America has ever gone before. Such a swing all but guarantees irreversible damage to our nation and the economy with their so-called “progressive” (read: regressive) agenda.
Is the Right&#8217;s argument that we should not vote for Republicans, thereby allowing Democrats unchecked power in Washington, the path forward? Would a Congress controlled by the DSA be more likely to deliver lower taxes, lower prices, and lower costs for working families?
The answer, of course, is a resounding no.
Republicans may not be perfect, but there is not one Republican candidate who is open to the tax-hiking DSA agenda.
We must be honest about what Democrats will actually do for the next two years once in power: Resume the tired play of attempting to impeach President Donald Trump.
Should Democrats retake the majority in Congress, they will spend the last two years of Trump’s presidency with hundreds of non-stop, pointless hearings that do nothing but generate clicks from their basement-dwelling far-Left base on social media — all at the taxpayers’ expense.
Voters would do well to think clearly about the two paths being presented.
One leads to paying more for everything. For us today, and for our kids, grandkids, and future generations of Americans.
The other presents a chance to keep prices low and make life more affordable.
The media should also do its part.
Ask each Democrat candidate if raising taxes is a part of their affordability plan to lower costs for families.
That should help clear things up.

Former Democratic fundraiser Lindy Li says former Vice President Kamala Harris intentionally misled donors in the weeks before she took over the campaign — and the donors knew it.
Li, who switched her party affiliation after Democrats ignored the warning signs that made it clear former President Joe Biden was not capable of serving another term, gave an insider&#8217;s view of what transpired in the days before Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race — and what Harris did to crown herself his de facto successor.
&#8220;It was all charade. She was auditioning for Biden&#8217;s endorsement, and the way that she did it was by imposing a fake rule on her staff to not talk about her ascending to the nomination,&#8221; Li told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ex-dem-insider-accuses-harris-charade-major-donors-days-before-biden-dropped-out">Fox News Digital</a>.
Li worked closely with donors as a top fundraiser for the party, and she said that as the campaign stretched into the summer of 2024 it became painfully clear to those closest to Biden that he would not make it to November. Harris, she said, used that time to position herself favorably with the donors.
&#8220;I was on the call; she would host calls with donors and pretend to support Biden and say there&#8217;s no daylight between Biden and herself. All the while she was auditioning for those very donors,&#8221; Li explained, adding that Harris carried the charade all the way through to the day Biden left the race: &#8220;It was either on July 19th or July 20th. Actually, I think it was July 19, 2024; Kamala Harris held a call saying that there was no way that Biden would drop out and that she would stick with him until the end. And these were some of the biggest donors in the party.&#8221;
&#8220;A lot of us have group chats, and the immediate reaction is what an effing waste of time. What a charade, how fake. Like these are like the wealthiest people in the country saying that,&#8221; Li said of the general reaction to Harris&#8217; comments. &#8220;They were very aware they were being lied to, that Biden was clearly not okay and to be told that he was okay when he was clearly incapacitated. It was insulting.&#8221;
Once Biden dropped out of the race on July 21, Li said that the president had been hesitant to endorse Harris. But because she had done such a thorough job of ingratiating herself with party donors — and she&#8217;d all but told them that she had Biden&#8217;s full confidence — Biden felt like he did not have a choice.
&#8220;She was flattering people left and right. The first 24 hours were a very intensive charm offensive on her part. And that&#8217;s how she was able to consolidate it so quickly. She flattered people up the wazoo. It made it abundantly clear that Biden had endorsed her. And Biden initially — I don&#8217;t know if people know this, but he didn&#8217;t want to endorse her right away. It took him a while,&#8221; Li said.
The former Democratic fundraiser has written a book — &#8220;<a href="https://www.harpercollins.com/products/unburdened-lindy-li?variant=44717895680034">Unburdened</a>&#8221; — detailing the months that led up to the end of Biden&#8217;s campaign and her subsequent exit from the party. California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom said he would not run for president in 2028 if former Vice President Kamala Harris enters the race. 
“I wouldn’t run if she ran,” Newsom told CNN&#8217;s Jake Tapper. 
Tapper later <a href="https://keyt.com/politics/cnn-us-politics/2026/09/14/out-of-office-fishing-with-gavin-newsom-as-he-contemplates-2028-presidential-run-2/">wrote</a> that he was &#8220;stunned&#8221; by Newsom&#8217;s answer.
&#8220;Why would I?&#8221; Newsom continued. &#8220;I wouldn’t waste everyone’s time.” 
Newsom said a contest between the two California Democrats would benefit Republicans and force their overlapping allies to pick sides.
“First of all, electorally, it’s a gift from God for everybody else,&#8221; Newsom said. &#8220;They’d enjoy the hell out of it. Mutually assured destruction. It serves no greater good.” 
Tapper raised the counterargument that Harris unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination in 2019 and then lost the 2024 presidential election, while Newsom has never run a national campaign.
&#8220;That would be the case you&#8217;d make,&#8221; Newsom replied. &#8220;Pretty good one, actually. That&#8217;s objectively true.&#8221;
&#8220;But I know what that means,&#8221; he continued. “I know her base of supporters. I know her friends. The Venn diagram on that is just pure crossover…I wouldn’t do that to people.” 
Newsom’s declaration was more definitive than his answer in February, when CNN’s Dana Bash asked what would happen if his and Harris’ political ambitions collided in 2028.
“That’s — you know, fate will determine that,” Newsom shrugged. “And I’ve never gotten in the way of her ambition, ever. I haven’t. And I don’t imagine I would in the future.” 
Newsom did not make the same promise when Tapper raised another possible California contender, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna.
Newsom <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/amid-presidential-speculation-gavin-newsom-is-fundraising-everywhere-except-california">launched</a> a national fundraising campaign last August that fueled speculation of a 2028 White House run. While the fund was intended to finance California’s redistricting efforts, its ads appeared across the country rather than in California, potentially allowing Newsom to build a national donor list.  
Newsom also launched a podcast titled “This Is Gavin Newsom” last year, further expanding his national profile. 
Last October, Newsom <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2028-election/gavin-newsom-consider-presidential-run-midterms-white-house-campaign-rcna239839">told</a> CBS that he would give a presidential run &#8220;serious thought&#8221; after the midterm elections.
“I think the biggest challenge for anyone who runs for any office is people see right through you,&#8221; Newsom said. &#8220;If you don’t have that ‘why,’ you’re doing it for the wrong reasons.&#8221;
Harris has not decided whether she will seek the presidency again in 2028. In a recent interview, she said she remains focused on the midterms.

North Carolina Democrats are doing their level best to distance themselves from State House candidate Shelly Kates Headen after a series of inflammatory social media posts — inducing one in which she reportedly claimed Trump supporters belong in concentration camps.
In one post, according to a <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2026/09/11/north-carolina-legislative-candidate-wrote-trump-supporters-belong-concentration-camp-ovens/">report</a> from Breitbart News, Headen was <a href="https://x.com/jonathanturley/status/2098474279968927933?s=46&amp;t=5nB3R1hthzMlYMrXjZyN8Q">pictured</a> smiling in front of the ovens at Dachau — the Nazi concentration camp in Germany where tens of thousands of Jews were murdered — and the caption read, &#8220;Visiting Dauchau [sic] Concentration Camp in Germany… This is where Trump supporters belong.&#8221;
In another recently-surfaced post, Headen appeared to call for violence against Republicans: &#8220;I think our only hope is an attack on US soil … preferably Alabama, Louisiana … where the stupid people are.&#8221;
Headen, in interviews, said that she opposed President Donald Trump and admitted that she&#8217;d posted on social media to that effect — but claimed that she could not remember any specific posts.
&#8220;I can’t remember what I’ve posted. I’ve been very vocal against MAGA,&#8221; she said, adding that she&#8217;d paid a firm $30,000 to go through her social media accounts and flag anything that might be cause for concern.
Headen, who is running to unseat Republican John Blust, then compared herself to Jesus Christ, Martin Luther King Jr., and Abraham Lincoln, suggesting that she was a martyr for the Democratic cause.
&#8220;I’ve sacrificed myself just like Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross, and Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln and all the people that put themselves out there to sacrifice for our country,&#8221; she said. &#8220;If a few angry moments on social media are the end, then so be it. MAGA will keep winning if we continue with not standing up for what’s right.&#8221;
But Headen&#8217;s posts have <a href="https://www.theassemblync.com/news/politics/democrats-drop-support-headen-violence-against-republicans/">proved too much</a> for members of her own party to bear, and Sam Lozier, the communications director for the House Democratic Caucus, publicly condemned her comments.
“Shelly Headen’s posts are unacceptable and do not reflect the values we expect of our candidates. The North Carolina House Democratic Caucus condemns these comments without qualification and will not support Shelly Headen’s candidacy,&#8221; he wrote in a statement.
The Guilford County Democratic Party has also <a href="https://www.wfdd.org/politics-government/2026-09-11/democratic-party-pulls-support-for-nc-house-candidate">pulled support</a>, stating that they &#8220;unequivocally reject and condemn&#8221; her comments because they &#8220;violate everything our party represents.&#8221;
Others have raised concerns about Headen, citing two 2024 incidents detailed in Guilford County Police reports in which she was named as the suspect and her husband a potential victim of assault. Headen released a competing statement suggesting that she was the <a href="https://www.theassemblync.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Shelly-Headen-Statement-9-3-26.pdf">victim</a>.

The insurgent socialist movement notched another primary victory Wednesday in a blue state capital, extending the far-Left&#8217;s streak of socialist candidates upending the Democratic establishment.
David Morales, 27, defeated Providence Democratic Mayor Brett Smiley in Wednesday’s primary, according to <a href="https://votes.decisiondeskhq.com/races/2026-09-09/rhode-island-providence-mayor-democratic-primary">Decision Desk HQ.</a>
The Democratic state lawmaker, who was endorsed by socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), ousted the incumbent mayor by less than 2,000 votes. Morales aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America, but the group’s local chapter did not endorse his candidacy, according to The <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/09/10/democratic-socialist-david-morales-wins-providence-rhode-island-mayoral-primary/">Washington Post</a>. 
His primary victory all but assures he will be Providence’s next mayor in a deep blue city that overwhelmingly voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024.
“Nearly a year ago, to this day, we launched a campaign centered around a simple vision&#8230; and while many agreed with the vision, few believed that a 27-year-old democratic socialist could ever&#8230; take on big money, corporate real estate interests, and endless attack ads. And we took them on, and we won,” he <a href="https://x.com/DavidMoralesPVD/status/2098043098735485050?s=20">told a cheering crowd</a> of supporters.
On the campaign trail, Morales <a href="https://www.davidmoralespvd.com/allissues">vowed</a> to cap rent hikes at 4%, tax what he called “corporate polluters,” fight Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and staff schools with “multilingual educators.”
“David Morales is the child of a single immigrant mom and a lifelong renter who spent his teenage years picking fruits and vegetables,” his campaign website reads.
Leading up to the election, Morales <a href="https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/2085835062902169899?s=20">reportedly hosted a fundraiser</a> called “Lesbians4David,” which included a “kissing booth” and promoted “specialty cocktails” for “butches” and “femmes.”

Democrats melted down after Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) broke ranks and made a <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/2097826780514066640?s=20">surprise video appearance</a> at the historic Republican midterm convention Wednesday night.
Fetterman fueled speculation about his political future as he vowed to work with President Donald Trump on economic issues and warmly introduced his Keystone State colleague, Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA), leaving Democrats to wonder whether they could soon lose a critical vote in their Senate coalition.
“A year ago I labeled John Fetterman ‘Trump’s favorite Democrat.’ Tonight, he yet again proves why,” Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) <a href="https://x.com/RepBrendanBoyle/status/2097845460635365718?s=20">said</a>. 
Few knew about Fetterman’s unity-first endorsement of McCormick, who will almost certainly be a prime target for national Democrats when he’s up for re-election in 2030. 
“I’m always going to stand with America,” Fetterman declared in the video. “I’m always going to reject the extremes and socialism and that anti-American way of life. Dave McCormick is the kind of senator that gets the job done, and he’s going to fight for Pennsylvania. I’m proud to count him as my friend.”
Former Democratic Rep. Conor Lamb, whom Fetterman defeated in the 2022 Senate primary, told The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/09/us/politics/democrats-fetterman-trump-convention.html">New York Times</a> the video had “all the persuasiveness of a North Korean newscast.”
In the video, Fetterman stood with the iconic Edgar Thomson Steel Works looming behind him, a fitting backdrop for his pitch to Pennsylvania’s Steel Valley. The Braddock plant has long been the heartbeat of Allegheny County’s steel industry, where raw steel is produced. Fetterman pledged to lock arms with McCormick and work directly with President Trump to protect the region’s legendary manufacturing heritage, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fetterman-drops-bombshell-on-opening-night-of-republican-convention?topStoryPosition=undefined&amp;author=Hank+Berrien&amp;category=News+and+Commentary&amp;elementPosition=3&amp;row=1&amp;rowHeadline=Top+Stories&amp;rowType=Top+Stories&amp;title=Fetterman+Drops+Bombshell+On+Opening+Night+Of+Republican+Convention">The Daily Wire reported</a>. 
“Yes, he’s in a different party,” Fetterman stated, “but I’m proud to count him as my great friend.” In response, McCormick <a href="https://x.com/DaveMcCormickPA/status/2097848169245630786?s=20">thanked</a> Fetterman, saying he was &#8220;grateful&#8221; for the gesture. 
Fetterman’s cameo angered moderate and leftist Democrats alike, including trans-identifying Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE).
“Being a Democratic politician who decides to speak at Trump’s midterm convention is like boarding the Titanic after it hit the iceberg,” McBride <a href="https://x.com/SarahEMcBride/status/2097830150033264982?s=20">wrote</a> on X.
In a follow-up statement, Fetterman vowed to continue caucusing with Democrats — even if his party flips the Senate, where his vote could upend the balance of power. &#8220;I&#8217;m a lifelong Democrat who votes overwhelmingly with my party — and should the Senate flip in November, I will still be the 51st vote that I ran on,” he <a href="https://x.com/igorbobic/status/2097855328079532477?s=20">insisted</a>. 
That commitment, however, didn&#8217;t convince Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA).
“He lost me last night with that stunt. He, like me, should be talking about how do we make life more affordable for Americans,” she told <a href="https://x.com/TPostMillennial/status/2098058022090162452?s=20">C-SPAN</a>. 
Since his impressive 2022 election victory, Fetterman has openly expressed his disillusionment with the Democratic Party over its increasing hostility to Israel and embrace of socialism and far-Left candidates. In between, the Pennsylvania Democrat has voted to confirm some of Trump’s cabinet nominees and is a vocal proponent of the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.  
It’s unclear whether Fetterman plans to run again for a second term. <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/6048811-fetterman-mccormick-pennsylvania-republican-voters/">Recent polls</a> show he’s more popular with Pennsylvania Republicans than Democrats – a reality Dean echoed when asked about Fetterman’s future. 
“I don&#8217;t care one way or another. What it&#8217;s time for him to do is represent Pennsylvania the way he ran — with the values that he ran on,” she said. “Sadly, the work that he is doing now as Senator doesn’t reflect those same values. It will be up to John whether or not he changes parties.”

Michigan has a Democratic Senate seat that the Democrats need to maintain, and it has now become open. The candidate they have chosen for this is Abdul El-Sayed, a Muslim who supports radical Islam in pretty much every manifestation he can find.
He lies about it, but it&#8217;s not much of a lie considering he has openly stated that he was not going to talk about the death of Ayatollah Khamenei because too many of his friends and supporters were upset about it. He literally equated a radical Muslim attacking a bunch of Jewish schoolchildren in Detroit with the idea of the IDF killing a member of Hezbollah.
He spends his days hanging out with CAIR; his family members are pretty much openly connected with Muslim Brotherhood-associated groups. And of course, he has campaigned alongside anti-American Twitch streamer Hasan Piker over and over and over again.
On Monday, he decided to go on Fox News for an interview with Jesse Watters, and it got awkward because one of the very weird things about the sort of red-green alliance, the radical Left-radical Islam alliance, is that it makes for strange bedfellows.
Muslims generally don’t want transing of the kids. But Abdul El-Sayed is a good Democrat because he needs the coalition, and they support transing of the kids.
“You&#8217;re a doctor, right?” Watters asked. “So you think it&#8217;s okay for a parent to slash his kid’s ding-a-ling off?

“I think it&#8217;s a problem,” El-Sayed said. “It&#8217;s a problem that you think that you get to decide what happens between a parent, a doctor and a patient. And I&#8217;m just saying that, yes, circumcision is surgery on a kid&#8217;s ding-a-ling. So if you really want to bring that up, you can. I just think you guys are really selective about these things.”
Watters: “Abdul, Michigan&#8217;s not going for that.”
Imagine if El-Sayed asked whether it&#8217;s okay to cut people&#8217;s heads off, and he responds, “Hey, have you ever had a tonsillectomy?”
This is where we are now. He is asked about cutting small boys’ genitals off, and he answers with, &#8220;Are you circumcised?&#8221;
These are not the same thing. In fact, the only sort of female or male surgery for a child that would be in the same category would be female circumcision, but even that is different, because male circumcision still leaves the member intact and fully working. That is not the case with female circumcision, which is commonly practiced in many areas of the world.
El-Sayed’s comparison is crazy, even more so when you consider that Muslims are generally very pro-circumcision and against transing the kids.
But the Democratic coalition and power are all that matter here.
El-Sayed is a radical. In July 2025, he openly said that it was America that had created terrorists, saying:
<blockquote>I think the approach that we&#8217;ve often taken in terrorism has been to figure out how to leverage the might of the U.S. military to go in and root out certain terrorist organizations and where that&#8217;s necessary, that&#8217;s necessary.
But I also think we need to be curious about why those things happen in the first place. Like what drives somebody to want to commit such a heinous act? &#8230; part of what we have to understand is that sometimes when we move, we create so much collateral damage, because too often we have been on the wrong side of our own policies.</blockquote>
This is a person who truly hates America.
He compared Sharia law to canon law, saying, “The idea that I could practice my faith as I choose is a problem. Nobody is trying to push Sharia on anyone else. Just like I hope nobody is trying to push canon law on anybody else.”
“Nobody is trying to push Sharia law on anyone else” is a hell of a statement globally, because that is not true on a global level at all.
El-Sayed has been out campaigning with Hasan Piker, who mocked Charlie Kirk’s death. Piker has no redeeming features. His fans are worse than he is because when he tried to walk back some of his anti-American rhetoric, his fans booed him for doing it. He told them America didn’t deserve 9/11, and his fans booed him because they know he&#8217;s lying about what he thinks; they know he&#8217;s lying because, of course, he believes America deserved 9/11.
Then he came out and suggested that the Democrats who have condemned his remarks about Charlie Kirk are somehow worse than Republicans. He said:
<blockquote>I think if you are a liberal and you lean into the Republican pearl-clutching operation around the martyrization of Charlie Kirk, you are literally in my estimation, you&#8217;re lower than the Republicans. Okay? You are the dogs*** that is stuck to the bottom of my shoe.</blockquote>
The fact that this person is treated as a mainstream voice within the Democratic Party and by the entire media is amazing. He also spent the weekend suggesting that Jews who support Israel are fair game.
I want to hear about real Judaism from Hasan Piker. What does Judaism mean? I think Hasan Piker should define it. His knowledge of Judaism is distilled wisdom.
Here&#8217;s what he&#8217;s really doing. His whole idea is that if you are a Jew who believes in truly Jewish ideas, you&#8217;re not really a Jew. Thus, if you&#8217;re attacked, you&#8217;re not being attacked for being a Jew. You&#8217;re being attacked for being bad. The Jews who agree with Hasan Piker are the ones who are okay.
This is the entire game right now of the antisemitic Left and some of the antisemitic Right: to say Zionist instead of Jew, because most Jews are Zionists, meaning that they believe there ought to be a Jewish state in Israel.
You know why we believe that? Because we have been praying for that three times a day for 3,000 years. We have been praying for it since the destruction of the Second Temple. It is a core part of Jewishness to believe there ought to be Jewish governance in Israel. That is a core part of being Jewish.
El-Sayed put out a statement: “I believe all Americans deserve the right to advocate for what they believe without fear of violence. This is particularly true for communities that have been intimidated for their beliefs in the past. My commitment to Jewish safety is the same as my commitment to the safety of my own daughters.”
I don&#8217;t believe him for one solitary second, because I promise you that if somebody attacked his daughter&#8217;s preschool, he would not be saying “Hurt people hurt people,” which is what he said when a Jewish preschool was attacked by a radical Muslim.
He says anti-Semitism is a scourge, and we need to address it in all of its forms. He said, “To be crystal-clear, nobody speaks for this campaign besides me and my campaign spokespeople.”
Piker said on Tuesday:
<blockquote>There are going to be a lot of people who are already questioning Abdul El-Sayed’s sincerity on these issues that will then turn around and say, &#8220;Oh, he’s, you know, he’s moderating his position on Israel,&#8221; all this stuff. I don’t think he is. Okay, I will say this. I am literally the person that is being dangled. And I’m going to tell you once again, he’s not moderating on his perspective on Israel or anything like that. His reaction to this has always been very good, which is, &#8220;Look, I deal with people that I don’t fully agree with and don’t fully subscribe to on a daily basis.&#8221; This is politics. Politics is about addition, not subtraction, right?
It’s smart. It’s the right way to deal with it and then deflect back to the issues because they are the ones who are engaging in the deflection, okay?</blockquote>
That should make things perfectly clear.
