The judge concluded that while advertisers collectively shifted budgets elsewhere, this reflected market choice rather than a violation of competition laws intended to restrain trade.

A potential agreement with the FTC would likely mirror a deal struck last year with Omnicom Group, which barred the company from coordinating with others to boycott publishers based on ideological grounds. <a href="https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/2510049omnicomdecisionorder.pdf">Key provisions</a> included that Omnicom could not agree with competitors to steer ad spend away from specific platforms due to their content’s politics; could not use or solicit shared lists that blackball publishers for ideological reasons; and that individual advertisers could still request custom exclusion lists for their own brands, but Omnicom could not share these lists with other clients.

In a direct rebuke of a mounting effort within Hollywood to isolate Israeli film institutions, Warner Bros. Discovery has become the latest major studio to <a href="https://variety.com/2025/film/global/warner-bros-israeli-film-boycott-violates-policy-1236554607/">reject</a> a prominent boycott initiative, stating that the campaign likely conflicts with the company’s anti-discrimination guidelines.
The studio&#8217;s statement, issued to Variety, couldn’t have been clearer: “Warner Bros. Discovery is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment &#8230; Our policies prohibit discrimination of any kind, including discrimination based on race, religion, national origin or ancestry. We believe a boycott of Israeli film institutions violates our policies.” The company added that while it supports free expression, it won’t endorse actions that breach either its standards or the law.
This comes in response to a boycott pledge spearheaded by Film Workers for Palestine, a group of more than 8,000 film industry figures—including actors Olivia Colman, Mark Ruffalo, Emma Stone, and Javier Bardem—to refuse work with Israeli film festivals, broadcasters, or production entities they claimed were “implicated in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.”

Legal experts in both the UK and the United States have warned that the campaign may run afoul of civil rights and anti-discrimination laws. In the UK, the legal advocacy group UK Lawyers for Israel <a href="https://variety.com/2025/film/global/netflix-bbc-legal-letter-israel-boycott-1236549672/">sent letters</a> to major studios—including Warner Bros., Netflix, and Disney—warning that participation in or enforcement of the pledge could violate the Equality Act 2010, branding it a “litigation risk.” Across the Atlantic, Washington D.C.-based Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law similarly cautioned that various state and federal civil rights laws prohibit the kind of nationality-based discrimination implied by the boycott.
Paramount Pictures was the first major studio to publicly denounce the pledge. In a statement from chief communications officer Melissa Zukerman, the studio <a href="https://au.variety.com/2025/film/news/paramount-condemns-israeli-film-boycott-27532/">declared</a>: “We do not agree with recent efforts to boycott Israeli filmmakers. Silencing individual creative artists based on their nationality does not promote better understanding or advance the cause of peace.” Paramount emphasized that the entertainment industry should be amplifying global storytelling—not narrowing it.
Opposition to the pledge isn’t limited to the studios. More than 1,200 entertainment figures—among them Liev Schreiber, Debra Messing, and Mayim Bialik—signed an open letter calling the boycott “a document of misinformation,” accusing its backers of spreading antisemitic propaganda under the banner of activism.

Netflix stock went down 2.4% following Elon Musk announcing earlier this week that he was canceling his subscription.
The billionaire Tesla founder made the proclamation on X Tuesday after clips of multiple children’s shows available on the platform started going viral. These animated shows, which were targeted at kids ages 7 and up, included explicitly LGBT storylines. One of the most egregious examples, “Dead End Paranormal Park,” included a cartoon character who identified as transgender.

Besides saying he was canceling Netflix, the SpaceX CEO reposted a meme of Netflix smuggling in a “transgender woke agenda” via a Trojan horse.

Following the clips going viral, Netflix stock dropped, and was down 2.4% as of Friday, per <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/antoniopequenoiv/2025/10/02/netflix-stock-drops-again-now-down-24-since-musks-call-for-cancellations/">Forbes</a>. Many X users flooded the platform with screenshots of proof that they had canceled their subscriptions. Netflix shares are down 4.4% in the last five days of trading, the outlet noted.
Shares for the streaming platform have recently been on an upward trend, rising 30% since the beginning of last year. But Musk’s calls for a boycott did seem to make an impact, and social media users are celebrating.
The offending television show wasn’t just one isolated incident. Clips have been circulating all over X highlighting LGBT themes in Netflix content aimed at young children. Another clip going viral is part of the animated show “Ridley Jones,” which includes Fred, the non-binary cow, fretting over using a “different name and pronouns” for the first time since last seeing his grandmother.

“CoComelon Lane” is also listed as one of the shows inspiring the boycott as it features a little boy wearing a princess dress for his two gay “dads.”
The animated show &#8220;Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City&#8221; promotes transgender drag queens to kids.
Chaya Raichik, who runs the popular account Libs of TikTok, has been leading the charge to expose the content of these shows and has been reposting screenshots of users proving they canceled their Netflix subscriptions, too.
She also noted that Hamish Steele, the trans-identified creator of the show “Dead End Paranormal Park,” made vulgar comments on Bluesky following the assassination of Charlie Kirk last month.

In a strong stand against what many see as a growing wave of ideological censorship, more than 1,200 prominent figures in the entertainment industry have signed an <a href="https://www.creativecommunityforpeace.com/blog/2025/09/24/filmopenletter/">open letter</a> rejecting a boycott of Israeli film and television institutions — a move critics say amounts to nothing more than targeted discrimination against Jews and Israeli artists.
The letter — spearheaded by the nonprofit Creative Community for Peace (CCFP) and The Brigade — was published in response to a pledge from Film Workers for Palestine, in which nearly 4,000 industry professionals, including major award winners, vowed to boycott Israeli productions, festivals, and institutions they accuse of being “complicit in genocide and apartheid.”
The new letter pulls no punches. Its signatories accuse the boycott movement of weaponizing storytelling and using art to advance a dangerous, divisive political agenda. “To censor the very voices trying to find common ground and express their humanity is wrong, ineffective, and a form of collective punishment,” the letter states.
The backlash against the boycott has been gaining steam. Paramount Studios <a href="https://variety.com/2025/film/news/paramount-condemns-israeli-film-boycott-1236516511/">issued a statement</a> blasting the pledge, calling it antithetical to the very mission of storytelling and saying that “silencing individual creative artists based on their nationality does not promote better understanding or advance the cause of peace.”
Haim Saban, Chairman of Saban Entertainment, echoed that sentiment, stating, “Excluding Israeli filmmakers because of their identity betrays [the mission of storytelling] and undermines efforts for peace.”
Actress Debra Messing didn’t mince words: “Boycotts against Jews have long been a tool of authoritarian regimes — by joining this effort, these artists are aligning themselves with a dark legacy of antisemitism.”
Actress Mayim Bialik added that the boycott does “nothing to end the war in Gaza, bring the hostages home, or help curb the alarming rise of antisemitism globally.”
“Film institutions engage with countries all over the world, including those with serious controversies, yet Israel alone is singled out and condemned — for defending itself in a war it didn’t start, for trying to free hostages still being held, and for confronting an enemy still intent on its destruction,” actress Rebecca De Mornay said. “Boycotting Israeli film institutions isn’t a stand for justice, it’s a thinly veiled double-standard for Jews, and a hypocritical, unjust punishment of Israeli artists and films.”
“While the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement presents itself as a social justice movement to those in the West, it is actually a political movement that seeks the defamation, delegitimization, and eventual elimination of the State of Israel,” CCFP Executive Director Ari Ingel stated. “The recent boycott pledge also contains blatant statements of misinformation, such as claiming that ICJ ruled that there was a plausible risk of genocide in Gaza, when they did no such thing.”
The letter concludes with a firm moral appeal: “If you want peace, call for the immediate release of the remaining hostages. Support filmmakers who create dialogue across communities. Stand against Hamas.”

Howard Stern announced on his radio show Monday that he canceled his Disney Plus subscription as a form of protest against Jimmy Kimmel being suspended.
“I’m trying to say with the pocketbook that I do not support what they’re doing with Jimmy,” the shock jock told his audience. “I can no longer keep my mouth shut … I feel obligated to say something, because s***’s getting outta control,” Stern said at another point.
“I just know, when the government begins to interfere, when the government says, ‘I’m not pleased with you, so we’re going to orchestrate a way to silence you,’ it’s the wrong direction for our country,” Stern added. “And I should know. I’ve been involved in something like this,” he said, referencing multiple fines from the FCC his show has received over the years for indecent content.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” was suspended last week after comments the host made about Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Kimmel falsely claimed that Kirk’s assassin was a MAGA supporter.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said during his show.
The late-night host’s suspension came amid pressure from broadcast companies that own ABC affiliates, including Nexstar and Sinclair, who pulled the show from their stations.
While most of Hollywood is crying about censorship, there’s an alternate explanation being given for Kimmel’s show getting pulled, which has to do with low ratings. 
“If Howard is sad about Kimmel’s absence on air, he should talk to ABC who made the decision to pull down his unfunny and unpopular show,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said in a statement to <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/09/22/media/howard-stern-blasts-abc-suspension-of-jimmy-kimmel-cancels-disney/">the New York Post</a>.
“This has nothing to do with free speech; low-ratings loser Kimmel is free to make whatever bad jokes he wants, but a private company is under no obligation to lose money producing unpopular shows,” she added. “Kimmel’s ratings have declined over 63 percent since his show moved to its current time slot and he has lost over 43 percent of his audience since President Trump returned to office.”

Several Marvel stars are urging a boycott of their own parent company, Disney, following last week’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kimmel&#8217;s show airs on ABC, which Disney also owns.
“She-Hulk” actress Tatiana Maslany told her Instagram followers to terminate their streaming services, writing, “Cancel your @disneyplus @hulu @espn subscriptions!” 
Actor Pedro Pascal shared a similar message on social media Thursday, asking fans to boycott as a means to “defend free speech” and “defend democracy.”
Marisa Tomei, who played Aunt May in several Marvel Spider-Man films, also instructed her followers to “unsubscribe and boycott” Disney and ABC.
Marvel actor and outspoken leftist Mark Ruffalo also wrote that the company&#8217;s stock will &#8220;go down a lot further if they cancel&#8221; Kimmel&#8217;s show permanently.
&#8220;Disney does not want to be the ones that broke America,&#8221; Ruffalo <a href="https://www.threads.com/@markruffalo/post/DO1CP-Jjtsj">wrote</a> in a Threads post. He also told fans that he’s on Kimmel’s side by posting a photo of them standing together, which included the caption, “Standing with you Jimmy Kimmel Live!” 
Ruffalo said during a No Kings online event, “My industry doesn’t really understand what’s happening right now, but what they do understand is our freedom of speech is being attacked.”
“Lost” creator Damon Lindelof threatened to sever ties with Disney on social media, saying he could not &#8220;in good conscience work for the company&#8221; until Kimmel&#8217;s show is back on the air. Lindelof&#8217;s threat is significant because he is involved in an upcoming Star Wars and Lucasfilm project, according to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/jimmy-kimmel-suspension-reactions-marvel-disney-stars-1236376120/">The Hollywood Reporter</a>. Disney owns Lucasfilm and the Star Wars brand.
“I was shocked, saddened and infuriated by yesterday’s suspension and look forward to it being lifted soon. If it isn’t, I can’t in good conscience work for the company that imposed it,” Lindelof <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DOwIihziT9Z/">wrote</a>.
A statement voicing outrage over the suspension has been signed by more than 600 comedians, including Jimmy Fallon, Chelsea Handler, Rosie O’Donnell, W. Kamau Bell, Kathy Griffin, David Cross, Kevin Nealon, Margaret Cho, and others.
“It’s a dark time for comedians, and by extension, for all Americans,” it <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-vhY9XHKjmqUJ50imhEn4UPXTTYgxY9XlZ83hhA2k_o/edit?tab=t.0">reads</a>. “When the government targets one of us, they target us all. They strike at the heart of our shared humanity. They strip away the basic right every person deserves: to speak freely, question boldly and laugh loudly.”
The comments from Kimmel that prompted the backlash included the host falsely claiming that Kirk’s assassin was a MAGA supporter. Investigators say that Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old man arrested for Kirk’s killing, was deeply steeped in leftist ideology and disliked the conservative commentator for his beliefs.

Marvel Stars Turn On Parent Company, Call For Disney Boycott After Kimmel Suspension

Target CEO Brian Cornell is stepping down next year after serving in the role for 10 years. The move comes as Target faces declining sales and a controversial public image, with boycotts coming from both sides of the political aisle.  
The Minneapolis-based company is passing the baton to chief operating officer Michael Fiddelke, who was selected in a unanimous board of directors vote, per an <a href="https://corporate.target.com/press/release/2025/08/target-appoints-michael-fiddelke-as-chief-executive-officer">announcement</a> made on Wednesday. Fiddelke, a 20-year veteran of the company, will take over beginning February 1, 2026.
“It is clear that Michael is the right leader to return Target to growth, refocus and accelerate the company’s strategy, and reestablish Target’s position as a leader in the highly dynamic and fast-moving retail environment,” Christine Leahy, lead independent director of Target’s Board of Directors, said.
Cornell had previously committed in 2022 to serve for three more years as CEO. He will now be the executive chair of the company&#8217;s board of directors. 
Sales were down 1% in the latest quarter compared to one year ago, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/08/20/business/target-ceo-brian-cornell-steps-down-after-10-years-as-retailer-fights-to-reverse-sliding-sales/">noted</a>, with a reported $25.2 billion total. This trend was blamed on a reduction in total merchandise offered. Profit for the quarter was $1.3 billion, which is a reduction of 19% compared to last year, according to the Post. 
The company blamed some of its financial woes on the economic uncertainties surrounding Trump’s tariff plan.
Earlier this year, Target announced it was rolling back its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, following suit with other companies and retailers amid the changing political landscape. This pivot served to anger liberal activist groups, who called for <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2025/jul/20/black-americans-boycot-target-amazon-dei">boycotts</a>. RetailBrew <a href="https://www.retailbrew.com/stories/2025/08/18/target-s-revenues-track-closely-to-foot-traffic-q2-foot-traffic-is-down-3-1">reported</a> that these boycotts appeared to be working as foot traffic was down 3.1% in Q2.
In May, Cornell blamed the lackluster first-quarter sales in part on the company changes related to DEI. 
He <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/21/target-tgt-q1-2025-earnings.html">said</a> the numbers declined due to “ongoing pressure in our discretionary business, plus five consecutive months of declining consumer confidence, tariff uncertainty, and the reaction to the updates we shared on belonging in January.” 
Despite making these changes, some conservatives are still boycotting Target for its past pride campaigns <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/target-to-offer-pride-merchandise-in-fewer-stores-after-backlash-against-tuck-friendly-swimsuit-sale-last-year">aimed at children</a>, saying the retailer’s policy changes were too little, too late.

Responding to the House GOP&#8217;s exposé of the apparent collusion between supposed guardians of free speech and advertisers, billionaire Elon Musk said on Thursday that his social media platform X would sue the perpetrators of the advertising boycott against conservative news organizations.
The House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), held a hearing on Wednesday. During the hearing, they interviewed four people regarding the issue: The Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro; Herrish Patel, the president of Unilever; Christian Juhl, the Global Chief Executive Officer of GroupM; and Spencer Waller, a professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
“Having seen the evidence unearthed today by Congress, X has no choice but to file suit against the perpetrators and collaborators in the advertising boycott racket. Hopefully, some states will consider criminal prosecution,” Musk tweeted.

“By basically demonetizing conservative platforms and websites, you make it that tough for those ideas to be heard,” Jordan <a href="https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/jim-jordan-garm-conservative-speech/2024/07/10/id/1172009/">told</a> Newsmax. “We asked the question for one of the companies who is on the board of this organization GARM, Global Alliance for Responsible Media — misnamed, should be named HARM — one of the companies that was there. I said, do you advertise on The Daily Wire? Do they advertise on Newsmax? Do they advertise on Breitbart?”
“And the answer to those questions was no. But they advertise on &#8216;The View.&#8217; They advertise in The Washington Post. So it&#8217;s totally biased. We all know that instinctively, but now we have documents that show it,” he added.
Jordan pointed out a reported attempt by GARM to boycott X after Musk bought it in October 2022.
“They use this term &#8216;uncommon collaboration,&#8217; which is a fancy way of saying it&#8217;s a cartel, and we&#8217;re going to set these standards,” Jordan said. “But the standards are such that they&#8217;re so subjective. They can sort of be gotten around any way you want. And then all they really do is advertise on left sides or where there are sites with no politics, and they never seem to put any advertising dollars or very little when it comes to conservative platforms and conservative websites.”

Transgender social media influencer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/dylan-mulvaney">Dylan Mulvaney</a> proposed an idea for a Western-themed <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bud-light">Bud Light</a> commercial following the backlash the brand received after making him a brand partner.
Mulvaney discussed becoming the target of “hate and vitriol” after he partnered with Bud Light and sparked a nationwide <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/boycott">boycott</a> that impacted its parent company, Anheuser-Busch. 
The TikTok influencer, who became popular for documenting his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender">transition</a> process in the “Days of Girlhood” video series, said companies should forge true partnerships with trans-identified spokespersons rather than engaging in “performative” marketing catered to those groups.
“If you’re going to ask us to capitalize on our vulnerabilities and our traumas, at least have our backs when the going gets tough,” Mulvaney told Seth Matlins, managing director of the Forbes CMO Network, at the 2023 Forbes CMO Summit in Miami. Their conversation occurred in front of a crowd of other marketing executives, the outlet <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2023/10/03/dylan-mulvaney-opens-up-about-bud-light-controversy-hiring-trans-people-should-not-be-political/?sh=f193aa68b42f">reported</a>.
The influencer mentioned feeling “personally guilty” for what happened, then went on to propose an idea for a Bud Light commercial. Mulvaney said hiring trans-identifying people “should not be political.”

Mulvaney pitched a commercial set in a western saloon, the outlet wrote. The narrative would involve a “trans woman” on one side of the saloon and a famous cowboy coming in the door. The camera would zoom in on the trans person in high heels and the celebrity in cowboy boots walking toward each other. The camera would pan out, showing them cracking a beer together and delivering the line, “There’s room for all of us beer drinkers in this town.”
After partnering with Mulvaney earlier this year, Bud Light rapidly lost market share as it struggled to rehabilitate its image. 
In the first week of the controversy, Bud Light sales decreased 11%, and its stock plunged 20% by the beginning of June. Sales drops persisted over the summer as the boycott kept going strong. 
Anheuser-Busch’s overall U.S. revenue was down 10.5% in the second quarter of 2023 (April to June) compared to the same period in 2022, and the company’s sales to U.S. retailers fell 14% by early August. By June, Bud Light had been dethroned as America’s best-selling beer by the Mexican beer brand Modelo.
The marketing executive who decided to partner with Mulvaney was let go from the company. Anheuser-Busch tried to soothe ruffled feathers with CEO Brendan Whitworth telling customers in mid-April, “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” and “We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

A Native American group has threatened a national boycott of the Washington Commanders unless the NFL team reverses course and changes its name back to the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/washington-football-team-unveils-8-new-potential-names-or-did-they" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Washington Redskins</a>.

In a letter that addressed what the group called the &#8220;cancel culture&#8221; against the Native American population and the erasure of its &#8220;steadfast role in American history, including serving as counselors to the Founding Fathers in the creation of the U.S. constitution.&#8221;
The letter talked about the history of the Washington football team and it&#8217;s relationship with the Native American community dating back to its 1933 season when they were named the <a href="https://sportsteamhistory.com/boston-redskins/#:~:text=The%20team%20was%20founded%20in%201932%20by%20George%20Preston%20Marshall,for%20more%20than%2080%20years." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Boston Redskins</a>.
&#8220;At this moment in history, we are formally requesting that the team revitalize its relationship with the American Indian community by (i) changing the name back to &#8216;The Redskins&#8217; which recognizes America&#8217;s original inhabitants and (ii) using the team&#8217;s historic name and legacy to encourage Americans to learn about, not cancel, the history of America&#8217;s tribes and our role in the founding of this Great Nation,&#8221; the letter read.
&#8220;Should we need to encourage a national boycott similar to what happened with Anheuser Busch (Bud Light) which is now down $27 billion (note, not one brick thrown, not one highway blocked, not one bridge burned) — WE WILL DO JUST THAT,&#8221; the letter <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/native-american-group-threatens-commanders-boycott-name-change" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a>.
The letter closed out by noting that in 2023, this &#8220;oppression and arbitrary and capricious recognition of U.S. history and Constitutional rights is not acceptable.&#8221; The group also vowed to stand their ground because, if &#8220;you don&#8217;t acknowledge history, we are doomed to repeat it.&#8221;
In 2020, the team announced it was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/redskins-cave-announce-thorough-review-of-name-here-are-the-top-suggestions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">removing Redskins</a> from its name and two years later announced the national professional football team would be called the Washington Commanders.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/washington-redskins-cant-return-to-dc-unless-they-change-their-name-officials-say" target="_blank" rel="noopener">name change came</a> about from pressure from the cancel culture mob following the death of George Floyd and those who claimed that the term was racist and offensive to Native Americans.

One of the singers behind the anti-woke song &#8220;Boycott Target&#8221; says that the songs catapulted to the top of the charts because the majority of people agree with the message.
Gospel artist Jimmy Levy <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/boycott-target-song-racks-up-millions-of-views-takes-off-on-itunes">teamed up</a> with a political rapper to take on Target as the company was facing backlash for controversial LGBT merchandise that targeted young children.
&#8220;That shows that we&#8217;re the majority no matter what, the mainstream and Hollywood—and the industry wants to promote whatever agenda they want to promote and try to make us look like we&#8217;re the minority— people of God, patriots, Americans,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/chart-topping-christian-singer-successful-anti-target-song-people-god-patriots-majority">said</a> in an interview. &#8220;It&#8217;s just not the truth. And no matter what, God prevails.&#8221;
“There’s a cleanup on every aisle/Target is targetin’ your kids,” the song’s lyrics open. “This agenda’s gotta stop, they know we gonna win.”
“Target, Target, yeah they targetin’/Target, Target, yeah they target kids,” the song goes, continuing on to lyrics about the LGBT agenda going “too far.”
The video for the song appears to have been shot at a Target store, where LGBT Pride goods are on display for sale.
Levy said in the interview that he was moved to work on the song when he saw the retail giant &#8220;collaborating with Satanists to make children&#8217;s clothing.&#8221;
&#8220;It took like a couple of days for people to be able to actually search it on iTunes. The only way they were able to find it was on the charts. They were not allowing it to be searched,&#8221; Levy claimed. &#8220;And it&#8217;s like, &#8216;why is a song that&#8217;s speaking out against people that are basically grooming our children, getting taken down?&#8217; It&#8217;s just very weird. Why are we protecting that? But we allow all these other horrible things online to just stay on, you know?&#8221;
He said that he received a ton of &#8220;hate, death threats and just horrible things&#8221; after he made the song and another song, &#8220;Reclaim the Rainbow.&#8221;

Podcast giant <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-rogan">Joe Rogan</a> blasted controversial transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney over Bud Light&#8217;s continued decline after parent company Anheuser-Busch lost billions in market cap after its partnership with Mulvaney was revealed.
Rogan made the remarks during a recent episode of &#8220;The Joe Rogan Experience&#8221; with rapper Ice Cube.
Rogan said that major companies only respect people&#8217;s opinions when they &#8220;boycott s*** and it works, like this Bud Light thing.&#8221;
&#8220;Yeah, then and now, people are like, &#8216;Don&#8217;t do that again, (yeah), like, be careful, because look what happened a Bud Light&#8217;,&#8221; he said.
Rogan appeared to take a shot at Bud Light vice president of marketing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bud-light-marketing-vp-takes-leave-of-absence-amid-dylan-mulvaney-controversy">Alissa Heinerscheid</a>, although he did not use her name, saying, &#8220;And the problem is also you get these people that are coming out of college like this lady who made the decision for Bud Light, you know, she&#8217;s gone through the university system.&#8221;
&#8220;She&#8217;s in the corporate system and she&#8217;s a woman and she thinks you know, &#8216;we have to be more inclusive&#8217; and that&#8217;s all the language everyone&#8217;s using today,&#8221; he said. &#8220;So they don&#8217;t know any real people. They don&#8217;t know regular people.&#8221;
Rogan then turned his attention to Mulvaney.
&#8220;They have no idea, a brand like Bud Light, which is like known for blue-collar drinking people, that they like to f***ing watch football and drink Bud Light, and then all sudden you have this mentally ill person who&#8217;s just an attention w***e, and you make a big deal out of putting this person&#8217;s &#8216;365 days of womanhood&#8217;, you put that on a Bud Light can and they freak the f*** out,&#8221; Rogan said. &#8221; And then Kid Rock shoots a bunch of them and then it&#8217;s on. Once Kid Rock shoots your cans, you got real problems.&#8221;
&#8220;Yeah, I&#8217;m pretty sure you do,&#8221; Ice Cube laughed.
