A Southwest Airlines flight traveling from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale diverted to Atlanta on Friday night after a possible security concern.
Footage from the incident shows passengers inside the plane seated with their heads down and hands up as Atlanta Police travel to the back of the plane. A man is then removed from his seat and placed into handcuffs.
The pilot and flight attendants can be heard repeatedly saying &#8220;heads down, hands up&#8221; as passengers comply.

Flight tracking software from FlightAware shows the plane landed safely at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at about 9 p.m. WSB-TV 2 reports the Federal Bureau of Investigation determined there was no credible threat.
Southwest told 11Alive, &#8220;Southwest Airlines Flight 2094 landed safely at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) Friday evening after diverting to respond to a possible security matter. We appreciate the professionalism of our Flight Crew and apologize to our Customers for the delay. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of its Customers and Employees.&#8221;
The Daily Wire has reached out to the Atlanta Police Department and the FBI for comment.
The incident comes as the United States is on high alert following the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.
In the immediate aftermath of the strikes, Ndiaga Diagne, a Senegalese man wearing an Iranian flag shirt underneath a hoodie with the phrase “Property of Allah” emblazoned on it, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/austin-shooters-iran-linked-attire-becomes-central-focus-in-terror-probe">opened fire</a> in Austin, Texas, killing three and injuring 14.
Authorities have not yet definitively linked the terror attack to the Iran strikes.
Jake Braun, a former senior counselor to the Secretary of Homeland Security, recently <a href="https://abc7chicago.com/post/federal-agencies-us-cities-alert-potential-retaliatory-attacks-amid-israel-iran-war-conflict-no-specific-threats-il/18669574/">spoke</a> with ABC7, a Chicago affiliate, about the risk of homeland attacks, both cyber and physical, noting that multiple targets are potentially vulnerable.
An Iranian ayatollah called on Thursday for President Trump&#8217;s blood to be shed during a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/iranian-ayatollah-calls-for-the-shedding-trumps-blood">message</a> on Iranian state TV.
“We are now on the verge of a great test and we must be careful to fully preserve this unity, to fully preserve this alliance,” said Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli in the message, <a href="https://apnews.com/live/iran-war-israel-trump-lebanon-march-05-2026#0000019c-bcd4-d21d-a1dc-fefd3c7e0000">going on</a> to call for “the shedding of Zionist blood, the shedding of Trump’s blood.”
Invoking the &#8220;Imam of the time,&#8221; Amoli said, &#8220;Fight the oppressive America, his blood is on my shoulders.”
In a separate development on Thursday, another Iranian official <a href="https://x.com/araghchi/status/2029435610922996100?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">threatened</a> the United States following the sinking of an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka by a U.S. naval torpedo strike.
&#8220;The U.S. has perpetrated an atrocity at sea, 2,000 miles away from Iran&#8217;s shores. Frigate Dena, a guest of India&#8217;s Navy carrying almost 130 sailors, was struck in international waters without warning. Mark my words: The U.S. will come to bitterly regret the precedent it has set,&#8221; said Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

President Donald Trump riled up California Governor Gavin Newsom on Monday night, suggesting the Democrat decided to take his name out of consideration for the 2028 presidential election.
&#8220;Wow! Gavin Newscum just dropped out of the Presidential Race!!!&#8221; Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116123225544591694">wrote</a> on Truth Social.
Newsom has not announced a decision on a 2028 presidential bid, but Trump&#8217;s post came as the governor faced criticism for comments he made about his SAT scores and dyslexia to a crowd in Atlanta during his book tour. The president&#8217;s Truth Social post caught Newsom&#8217;s attention, and the governor quickly responded through his personal and official social media accounts.
&#8220;WOW. THE PRESIDENT IS SUNDOWNING HARDER THAN USUAL TONIGHT!!! — GOVERNOR GCN,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/GovPressOffice/status/2026129785420742660">wrote</a> on the official account for Newsom&#8217;s press office, which regularly mocks Trump&#8217;s social media activity. &#8220;Sundowning&#8221; refers to symptoms that affect many Alzheimer&#8217;s patients, such as increased confusion and agitation that usually occur later in the day.
Newsom also joked about the president&#8217;s Truth Social post on his personal X account, <a href="https://x.com/GavinNewsom/status/2026130066019651698">writing</a>, &#8220;It’s on page 69 of my new book. Buy it here.&#8221;
Newsom was slammed on Monday after a clip of his book tour event in Atlanta went viral, showing the governor discussing his low SAT score with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens in front of a crowd of Democratic supporters.
“I’m like you. I’m not better than you,” Newsom said. “I’m a 960 SAT guy.”

Conservatives accused Newsom of making the comment in an attempt to pander to black Americans in a city made up of a large black population. In 2024, the average SAT score for black students was 907, while white students scored an average of 1083, according to College Board data.
After making the comment, Newsom added, &#8220;I&#8217;m not trying to offend anyone and act all there if you got 940. But [I&#8217;m] literally a 960 SAT guy.&#8221;
Newsom raged against Fox News host Sean Hannity after Hannity said Newsom &#8220;thinks a 960 SAT score makes him &#8216;like&#8217; black Americans. Let that sink in.&#8221;
&#8220;You didn’t give a sh*t about the President of the United States of America posting an ape video of President Obama or calling African nations sh*tholes — but you’re going to call me racist for talking about my lifelong struggle with dyslexia?&#8221; Newsom shot back. &#8220;Spare me your fake f*cking outrage, Sean.&#8221;
Mayor Dickens defended Newsom after videos of his remark went viral on social media.
&#8220;Take it from someone who was actually in the chair asking the questions: context matters more than a headline,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DVHpugCFGFT/?img_index=1">said</a>. &#8220;The conversation around his new book included him speaking about his own academic struggles, including not doing well on the SAT. That wasn’t an attack on anyone. It was a moment of vulnerability about his own journey.&#8221;
Dickens added that people in Atlanta were not offended by the governor&#8217;s comment.
&#8220;Let me be clear though. This is Atlanta. We don’t need anyone to tell us when to be offended. And history has shown&#8230; when we are, you’ll know,&#8221; he said. &#8220;If you want the full context, watch the full clip, read the book, and engage the complete conversation.&#8221;
Newsom is among the favorites to win the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination. While he has not officially announced a presidential run, the governor appears to be testing the waters. Newsom launched a nationwide book tour last Saturday to discuss his new memoir with Americans, making his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/in-tennessee-gavin-newsom-sprints-to-the-far-left">first stop in Nashville</a>.
While in Nashville, Newsom echoed some rhetoric from the far-Left wing of the Democratic Party, praising Democratic socialist Bernie Sanders and saying that America’s economic system “fundamentally has to be reformed.” He also said the next Democratic president should be more aggressive with executive actions, adding, &#8220;We are capable of doing much more.&#8221;

President Donald Trump suggested on Wednesday that Atlanta might be the next American city to see a surge of federal resources and personnel to help rein in rampant crime.
Trump floated the possibility during a Black History Month event at the White House on Wednesday afternoon: “You need help in Atlanta.&#8221;
&#8220;Atlanta. Atlanta. We could take care of Atlanta. I&#8217;ll tell you what, you oughta get them to call me. We could take care of Atlanta so fast,” he said to applause. “They don&#8217;t want to call. They don’t want to. They don’t want to call cause they don’t want to admit it, and they’ll never fix it themself,” he added.
“Don&#8217;t forget, we move people out. We just don’t go in and, you know, be tough guys. We move people out. We take career criminals and we get them out, we bring them back to the country from where they came. And think of it, 90% of the crime is caused by 2% of the people. So when you get the criminals out, you solve a lot of problems,” he continued.
The Daily Wire reached out to the City of Atlanta for comment, but has not yet received a response. The Trump administration has sent National Guard troops, as well as other federal law enforcement agencies, to cities like Washington, D.C., New Orleans, and Memphis in hopes of bringing down high crime rates.
There has been significant pushback in many blue cities over federal surges, but the president made it clear in a Dec. 31 Truth Social post that he is undeterred: it’s “only a question of time” before federal authorities “come back &#8230; when crime begins to soar again,” he wrote, according to <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2026/02/13/national-guard-deployments-updates/88646816007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">USA Today</a>.
“We are removing the National Guard from Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland, despite the fact that CRIME has been greatly reduced by having these great Patriots in those cities, and ONLY by that fact. Portland, Los Angeles, and Chicago were GONE if it weren’t for the Federal Government stepping in,” Trump posted to Truth Social on Dec. 31.
&#8220;It is hard to believe that these Democrat Mayors and Governors, all of whom are greatly incompetent, would want us to leave, especially considering the great progress that has been made???” he added.
Although murders have gone down in the Georgia city, robberies and assaults have been on the rise, <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/atlanta/news/homicide-rate-drops-in-atlanta-but-rising-assaults-and-robberies-leave-police-department-concerned/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS Atlanta</a> reported in January.
Trump is scheduled to visit Rome, Georgia, an hour northwest of Atlanta, for an economy-focused address. Rome is a part of the district left vacant by former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who resigned from Congress earlier this year after a public falling out with the president. A special election is set for March 10, with a runoff to follow on April 7 if none of the candidates in the open race obtain over half of the vote. The president has endorsed Republican Clay Fuller to be Greene’s successor.
“He is strongly supported by the most Highly Respected MAGA Warriors in Georgia, and many Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives,” Trump posted to Truth Social on Feb. 4.

The past four years of my life have been a relentless storm of attacks, lies, and betrayal — much of it orchestrated by radical activists who would rather burn down progress than see it thrive.
I never expected to end up in the crosshairs of Antifa, and that&#8217;s an understatement.
As a movie studio owner and real estate developer, I built Blackhall Studios into a cornerstone of Georgia’s film industry, creating jobs and opportunities.
When I entered into a land swap deal with DeKalb County, however, I drew the wrath of Antifa. This was all happening next door to the development of a new Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, that became known to the world as “Cop City.” When Antifa caught wind of the deal, chaos ensued.
This is my story. A story about a battle for a piece of land and for the truth in a world quick to crucify conservatives.
<h3>The Beginning: Building A Legacy</h3>
I wasn’t born into wealth. I made it the American way, with hard work and intelligent risk-taking. Growing up in California, I became a real estate developer and investor.
Following the financial crisis of 2008, I saw a new opportunity to acquire real estate across the Southeast and ended up purchasing over 8,000 apartments. In 2016, I seized on Georgia’s film industry boom, founding Blackhall Studios — an 850,000-square-foot powerhouse facility that helped produce hits like “Jungle Cruise,” “Jumanji,” “Venom,” and “Lovecraft Country.”
My team and I built a reputation of working cross-culturally with the community, hand-in-hand with Black leaders and Jewish colleagues. Through Advance DeKalb, I poured resources into the community, even offering to donate space to healthcare workers during the pandemic.
In 2018, I decided to expand Blackhall. Around the same time, the Atlanta Police Foundation planned a state-of-the-art public safety training facility to make Atlanta safer. The “Cop City” idea — next door to our planned expansion — was meant to train police and first responders to protect communities like DeKalb’s. To make it happen, I struck a land swap deal with DeKalb County: 55 acres of my studio’s land for 40 acres of Intrenchment Creek Park.
At the time, county officials and local leaders enthusiastically backed the deal. The county treated me as a partner, excited for the economic boost.
Then, in early 2021, Antifa showed up.

<h3>The Turn: Antifa’s War On Progress</h3>
Hiding behind the “Defend the Atlanta Forest” banner, these “squatters” occupied the property, calling it “Weelaunee People’s Park.” To me, they didn’t appear to be peaceful environmentalists, but anarchists, funded and fueled by Antifa’s network, bent on sabotaging both our development and Cop City.
Their treehouses and protests were just the beginning of the chaos they would unleash. The “squatters’” antics turned violent fast. Rocks and full beer cans were thrown at workers on the site.
Then came the relentless legal battles. In 2020, the South River Watershed Alliance (SRWA) <a href="https://caselaw.findlaw.com/court/ga-court-of-appeals/116643343.html">sued me and DeKalb County</a>, alleging the land swap was illegal. Of course, it was not illegal, but abusive litigation is a hallmark of modern leftist terrorists. I filed an affidavit defending the deal, but the county’s response was indirect and they began to backpedal. I believe Antifa’s pressure campaign, with their deep pockets and activist networks, caused officials to abandon me.
Still, I had to fight back. So, I hired contractors and off-duty DeKalb police officers to secure the property. In a heated confrontation in July of 2022, protesters hurled objects at my team. Antifa lit my truck and trailer on fire and turned it into a bonfire of effigy. Then, in October of 2022, activists successfully <a href="https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/anonymous-activist-claims-responsibility-for-blaze-at-dekalb-film-studio-may-this-be-a-warning-to-them">torched</a> Shadowbox Studios (formerly Blackhall).

Meanwhile, I faced an onslaught of media attacks and online smears. A former attorney filed a public lawsuit that became fodder for hit pieces in local and national outlets. Social media campaigns — many from self-identified Antifa supporters — accused me of everything from greed to corruption.
I worked hard to protect my family from all the chaos, but my wife bore the brunt of the stress, living under the shadow of Antifa’s harassment and online threats.
<h3>Where I Stand Today: Fighting For Truth</h3>
More than four years later, the 40 acres I still own remain undeveloped, stalled by the prolonged protests, various lawsuits, and political shenanigans.
I sold Blackhall in 2021 to Commonwealth Group, now Shadowbox Studios, and shifted my focus to other endeavors.
Meanwhile, Cop City finally opened, a victory for law and order despite Antifa’s relentless opposition. President Trump himself highlighted the facility at a roundtable with independent journalists, calling out Antifa’s role in the violence against projects like mine. Their funding, likely from shadowy leftist groups, has fueled the chaos, from car burnings to media smear campaigns, all to stop progress.

Through it all, my family has been my rock. My wife, kids, and I have faced these attacks together, though the strain of Antifa’s threats and character assassination nonsense has tested us. I have lost many friendships throughout the city and the world because of this manufactured toxicity. But my faith keeps me grounded, and I’m fighting to protect my legacy for my family and community.
This story isn’t just mine — it’s happening in other pockets of America.
Look at the Dakota Access Pipeline, where <a href="https://northdakotamonitor.com/briefs/north-dakota-us-working-to-settle-in-dispute-over-dakota-access-pipeline-protest-costs/">protests</a> against a $3.8 billion oil project in 2016 led to blockades, sabotage, and over 700 arrests, delaying completion and costing developers millions, all fueled by environmental and indigenous activism that echoed Antifa’s tactics.
Consider Tim Pool, the conservative podcaster who bought a derelict lot in West Virginia in 2023 to <a href="https://x.com/Timcast/status/1900216701108564402">build a skatepark</a> for local youth. His dream of a safe space for skaters to hang out was derailed by over two years of vandalism, gang tags, and anonymous threats, driven by opposition to his right-wing politics. Pool was forced to shut it down in 2025, a loss for the community he aimed to serve.
That’s not activism. That’s sabotage.
<h3>A Call For Courage</h3>
These cases and many others show how Antifa and their allies use funded protests, media hit jobs, digital attacks, and endless lawsuits to grind progress to a halt, targeting conservatives with anything they can manufacture to destroy them.
In sharing my experience, I hope to help expose Antifa’s playbook — using chaos and lies to silence those who dare build or challenge their agenda. It’s a call to stand up to their intimidation and defend the America that values hard work and entrepreneurial life.
The past four years have been brutal. Publicly, I’ve been vilified, my name dragged through the mud by Antifa’s allies in the media. But I won’t let terrorists define me. I’m still here, building, fighting, and believing in a country that rewards grit, intelligence, and an indefatigable spirit. They can burn my cars and spread lies, but they won’t break me, this country, or the truth.
To say that I’m excited that President Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-designates-antifa-a-major-terrorist-organization">designated Antifa</a> a terrorist group on October 7, 2025 after Charlie Kirk&#8217;s death is an understatement. I’ve known this truth for many years. These people hate America, hate Americanism, and want to see every hard-working, red-blooded American subjugated to their chaos. We must not let that happen.

Police stopped a potential mass shooting on Monday when a 49-year-old man was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International after he allegedly threatened to &#8220;shoot up&#8221; the nation&#8217;s busiest airport before he drove there armed with a semiautomatic rifle.
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said at a press conference that a major tragedy was &#8220;averted.&#8221; The mayor said the suspect is from Cartersville, Georgia, and is &#8220;mentally challenged.&#8221; Cartersville is located just over 50 miles northwest of the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport International Airport.
The suspect was identified as Billy Joe Cagle, a convicted felon, who said over a livestream video that he planned on shooting people at the airport, according to Atlanta Police Department Chief Darin Schierbaum. After family members saw Cagle&#8217;s video, they notified the Cartersville Police Department, which then notified the Atlanta Police Department. Cagle&#8217;s family also warned police that he was in possession of a firearm.
Just 14 minutes after Atlanta Police were notified of the threat, Cagle was arrested in the airport. Police also found a semiautomatic rifle in his vehicle, which was parked outside.
Airport security footage released by police at the press conference showed Cagle arriving at the airport at 9:29 a.m. and parking his Chevy flatbed pickup truck next to a terminal entrance. The suspect then entered the south domestic terminal, but was not armed when he walked into the airport.
&#8220;From video we will show you, he seemed to be very interested in the TSA check-in area, which you can see was heavily, heavily crowded with travelers,&#8221; Schierbaum said.
The security footage showed Cagle walking around the TSA check-in area with his phone in hand. Bodycam footage also released at the press conference show Atlanta Police Department officers confronting Cagle before taking him down to the ground and placing handcuffs on him. Schierbaum said that officers had to use two handcuffs to detain Cagle because of his size, adding that the suspect is 6&#8217;3 and 320 pounds. Cagle was taken into custody at 9:54 a.m., less than 30 minutes after he arrived at the airport.

When authorities searched the suspect&#8217;s truck, they found a Springfield 5.56 Saint Victor AR-15 rifle with 27 rounds of ammunition.
&#8220;We did have a tragedy averted today,&#8221; the police chief said, adding that if the police officers had not stopped him at that time, he believes the suspect was planning on retrieving the rifle from his pickup truck and firing upon people in the crowded terminal.
&#8220;We&#8217;re here today briefing you on a success and not a tragedy because a family saw something and said something,&#8221; Schierbaum said.
Cagle faces charges of making terroristic threats, criminal attempt to commit aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
The FBI is assisting local authorities as the investigation continues.

ATLANTA — When Second Lady Usha Vance asked Georgia school children to share with her how often they get distracted by cell phones or tablets, almost every child in the school gym eagerly raised their hand in the air.
It&#8217;s hard for everyone, she told them. And it’s one of the reasons she wants them to be reading as much as they can.
&#8220;You see in your own life, I see it in mine, where my attention is fragmented, I get distracted and pulled away all the time when I have a phone around me,&#8221; she shared in a brief interview with The Daily Wire at Cherokee Classical Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia. 
&#8220;I know from experience and I know from hearing from other people that this is a real issue,&#8221; Vance explained. She had just finished listening in on several classes at the school and handing out bookmarks to the eager children, who carefully recited their lessons, led by their teachers, in the presence of the smiling second lady. 
Vance was in Atlanta to speak with students at the charter school about her &#8220;Summer Reading Challenge,&#8221; which encourages kids to read 12 books between June and September, and to fill out a form and send in their accomplishment to the Second Lady&#8217;s office for a personalized certificate and small prize. Some lucky winners will be selected to travel to Washington, D.C.

On Thursday, Vance explained her challenge to around 200 school children and read them &#8220;The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere,&#8221; the classic poetic tale of the Revolutionary War hero and his historic ride through Massachusetts. She also took a few questions from the students, who asked her what it is like to be the Second Lady and what her favorite books are. Vance shared that she loved Laura Ingalls Wilder&#8217;s &#8220;Little House&#8221; series, detailing the life of Laura Ingalls and her family as they travel across the United States.
Across town, her husband was speaking at a Republican National Committee event before heading to an industrial refrigeration manufacturing facility in Peachtree City, Georgia, where he spoke about the importance of the &#8220;working families tax cuts&#8221; in the &#8220;One Big Beautiful Bill.&#8221; JD Vance and Usha Vance had flown down to Georgia together on Thursday morning, kissed one another goodbye before the motorcade, and then sped off to their respective events.
Thursday was one of six &#8220;Summer Reading Challenge&#8221; events that Usha Vance has spoken at, and perhaps her last one of the summer, since the 2025-2026 school year is beginning for many students. She was poised and polite, gracious to the children and the school officials who welcomed her. She chuckled at the eager antics of the students in their classrooms, as they strove to best one another in answering questions while she watched.
Speaking with The Daily Wire after she toured the school itself and visited several classrooms, Usha Vance shared how she seeks to block technological distractions for children.
&#8220;For my children, and I think for all children, my goal is that we do things that try to counteract that,&#8221; Vance explained. &#8220;Whether that&#8217;s spending time outside, whether that is engaging in the kinds of activities where you just can&#8217;t be distracted, you really have to commit to build strength or skill or whatever it might be.&#8221;
&#8220;Or reading,” she added. “Reading, I think, is maybe the most important of all these because when you can read and focus on something for hundreds of pages, then you can really do anything at that point.&#8221;
Asked what her own three children are reading this summer, the second lady responded with a big smile, describing her eight-year-old as a voracious reader.

&#8220;So Mira, our youngest, is not a reader yet,&#8221; she explained. &#8220;Our oldest child is a total bookworm. He&#8217;s eight, so he&#8217;s read dozens of books this summer. Right now, I think he has been reading, actually, copies of the Mahabharata, which is an Indian epic, and he also just finished re-reading all the Percy Jackson books.&#8221;
&#8220;I think he read The Hobbit recently,&#8221; she noted, referring to J.R.R. Tolkien&#8217;s precursor to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. &#8220;Those kinds of things are really exciting.&#8221;
&#8220;And our middle guy has been immersed in dinosaur encyclopedias,&#8221; Vance concluded with a laugh. &#8220;That&#8217;s his thing right now.&#8221; 
The young Vance son’s interest in The Hobbit likely stems from his father’s partiality for The Lord of the Rings: Vice President Vance himself<a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/07/19/lord-of-the-rings-jd-vance-00169372"> is known to be a fan</a> of the &#8220;The Lord of the Rings&#8221; series and has even said that it greatly influenced his view of the world.
“I’m a big Lord of the Rings guy,&#8221; Vance said in a 2021 interview, &#8220;and I think, not realizing it at the time, but a lot of my conservative worldview was influenced by Tolkien growing up,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Big fan of C.S. Lewis — really sort of like that era of English writers. I think they were really interesting. They were grappling, in part because of World War II, with just very big problems.”
Vance&#8217;s wife speaks much less politically (she gently said she &#8220;high hopes&#8221; that people will come back to Washington, when asked by The Daily Wire whether she now feels safer in D.C. due to the White House&#8217;s enforcement efforts). But, like her husband, she also recognizes the massive impact that literature can have on an individual. In a statement on Thursday, she encouraged American children that reading will build strong foundations &#8220;that will serve them for a lifetime.&#8221;
&#8220;We want every child to know that reading opens doors,&#8221; said Usha Vance, &#8220;not only to education, but to imagination, opportunity, and achievement.&#8221;

Someone reportedly stole a thumb drive containing unreleased Beyoncé songs from a rental car during the singer’s recent tour stop in Atlanta.
The incident occurred on July 8 when a choreographer and dancer on the tour left their rental car in a parking garage while they were at dinner. They returned to the vehicle, a Jeep Wagoneer, to discover that the windows were broken and multiple items had been taken from it.
Missing items included two suitcases, a pair of sunglasses, Apple headphones, two Apple laptops, and five thumb drives. “They have my computers and it’s really, really important information in there,” one of the two men told a 911 operator, as the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/beyonce-unreleased-music-stolen-atlanta-2cb8e2f3b349c6708134c17bc5e10d1f">reported</a>. “I work with, um, someone who’s, like, of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.”
The choreographer, Christopher Grant, told law enforcement that he had been “carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician.”
The police report stated that the missing thumb drives included “watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set list(s).”
The report also stated that surveillance footage of the area was available and that an arrest warrant had been issued for an unnamed suspect.
Atlanta police have warned the public that car thefts are a common occurrence in the area. 
Beyoncé has not released a statement on the thefts. The singer has been performing shows as part of her Cowboy Carter Tour since April and is scheduled to conclude the tour later this month. Protests erupted in cities across the U.S. over the weekend as people hit the streets to voice opposition to President Donald Trump&#8217;s immigration policies as federal agents ramp up arrests and deportations.
Thousands of people blocked a section of the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles as they blasted Mexican music and danced in the streets on Sunday. Protesters waved Mexican and Salvadoran flags, and some carried signs that read, &#8220;MAGA — Mexicans Always Get Across,&#8221; “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you,” and “I drink my horchata warm because f— I.C.E,” The Los Angeles Times <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-02-02/thousands-of-protesters-rally-in-downtown-los-angeles-against-trump-deportation-policies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The L.A. protest lasted throughout the afternoon and evening before police in riot gear began dispersing the crowd around 7:00 p.m. The 101 Freeway was cleared and reopened by 8:00 p.m. The Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol said <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14352897/Thousands-block-LA-freeway-grammys-carrying-Mexican-flags-massive-Trump-protest.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no arrests</a> were made.

More than 200 passengers on a Delta flight had to evacuate the plane after an &#8220;engine issue&#8221; forced pilots to avert takeoff at the last second Friday morning.
Photos and videos shared on social media showed people walking away from the Boeing 757-300 on the snow-covered Atlanta tarmac. After the pilots aborted takeoff, passengers were transported from the tarmac to the airport. The Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating the incident. The Harris campaign has been using celebrity endorsements to their advantage. Rap artist Eminem introduced former President Barack Obama at a Harris rally in Detroit on Tuesday night. The rapper didn’t perform, but he did give some remarks on the upcoming election, saying, “People shouldn&#8217;t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don&#8217;t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution of what people will do if you make your opinion known.&#8221; 
&#8220;I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld,&#8221; Eminem said.
Obama also repeated some of the lyrics from Eminem’s hit single “Lose Yourself” during the event.

Fox Weather reporter Bob Van Dillen interrupted his live coverage of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/helene-downgraded-to-tropical-storm-after-battering-florida?topStoryPosition=3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tropical Storm Helene</a> in Atlanta on Friday morning to help a woman who was stuck in her car as flood waters continued to rise.
Van Dillen, who was in North Atlanta, began his report for &#8220;Fox &amp; Friends&#8221; just after 7:00 a.m. ET when a woman started crying for help behind him. The trapped woman can be heard screaming for help while Van Dillen is reporting on the scene.
&#8220;You can see right here, this lady drove into the area that&#8217;s flooded out, and she&#8217;s screaming right now. I just called 911,&#8221; Van Dillen said.
&#8220;She is still screaming,&#8221; the reporter added before turning around to tell the woman, &#8220;We got you. 911 [is] coming. You&#8217;re good. You&#8217;re good.&#8221;
After the woman continued to call for help, Van Dillen told the &#8220;Fox &amp; Friends&#8221; hosts that he would try to help her.
When the show went back to Van Dillen, the meteorologist was seen carrying the woman on his back through chest-high water.
&#8220;Fox Weather&#8217;s Bob Van Dillen saved a woman trapped in a car. Look at that!&#8221; Fox News anchor Steve Doocy said.
&#8220;That guy is a hero!&#8221; Doocy added.

After rescuing the woman, Van Dillen got back in front of the camera and was asked about his good deed. The reporter said the water level was rising so high that the woman was &#8220;almost neck deep submerged in her own car.&#8221;

Two Delta Airlines planes collided while taxiing at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Tuesday morning with one plane&#8217;s tail nearly getting ripped off.
A Delta Airbus A350&#8217;s wing tip “came into contact” with a Delta CRJ 900 regional jet&#8217;s tail while both planes were taxiing to get in position for departure, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/10/travel/delta-planes-collide-taxiing-atlanta-airport/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The Delta CRJ 900 was being operated by Endeavor Airlines. No one was injured in the collision, according to Delta Air Lines spokesman Anthony Black.
Video and photos taken after the collision show the damage to the CRJ 900&#8217;s tail.

“While Delta Air Lines Flight 295 was taxiing for departure at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, its wingtip struck the tail of Endeavor Air Flight 5526. The Delta Airbus A350 was headed to Tokyo. The Endeavor Bombardier CRJ900 was headed to Lafayette, Louisiana,” the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, considered the busiest in the world, also released a <a href="https://x.com/ATLairport/status/1833532469972504960" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>, saying, &#8220;At 10:07AM, two aircraft made contact at the intersection of taxiways E and H on the north airfield. No injuries are reported. Passengers from one aircraft are being bussed to concourse B; the other aircraft taxied on its own power to its gate. There is minimal impact to ops.&#8221;
According to Delta, there were 221 passengers on the Airbus and 56 passengers on the CRJ 900.
Retired aviation expert Ira Astrachan told The Daily Wire that the collision appears to be the pilots&#8217; fault and not an issue with the ground crew or air traffic control. He said the CRJ 900 turned onto a taxiway and should have pulled up farther to the &#8220;hold short&#8221; line &#8220;so that its nose is as close to that line as possible.&#8221; The CRJ, however, appeared to stop 20 to 30 feet short of the line, meaning its tail was &#8220;still sticking part way into the main taxiway, which is where the Airbus was,&#8221; according to the aviation expert.
&#8220;The co-pilot of the Airbus should have notified the captain, &#8216;Hey, doesn&#8217;t look like we&#8217;re going to clear the tail of that CRJ. We need to stop and have the CRJ pull up,'&#8221; Astrachan said. &#8220;It&#8217;s too bad. That stuff shouldn&#8217;t happen. It&#8217;s two pilots taxiing airplanes; it&#8217;s on them.&#8221;

Tuesday&#8217;s collision marks the second accident in the past month involving Delta planes at the Atlanta airport. Last month, a Delta employee and a contractor were killed, and a third person was seriously injured when a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/2-killed-after-delta-plane-tire-explodes-at-atlanta-airport" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plane tire exploded</a> in a maintenance area.
The workers had removed the tire from the Delta plane and taken it to the wheel and brake shop when the tire exploded, sending a piece of metal “flying like a missile.” The deadly incident is still being investigated.
