Country singer Carrie Underwood said she’s unfazed by the constant booing she’s been getting recently, which may or may not have something to do with her association with President Donald Trump.
The 42-year-old “American Idol” winner dealt with major backlash from followers when she opted to perform “America the Beautiful” at Trump’s inauguration ceremony last January. Now she’s stepped in as a judge on “American Idol” and has already gotten booed on several occasions. Though it’s not completely clear the reason fans are booing her, many have been speculating it’s because of that performance.
Either way, Underwood said she’s not letting it get to her. &#8220;You guys are gonna boo me. You’re gonna boo me,&#8221; the singer told the crowd at one point during a recent episode of the show. &#8220;It’s coming. Bring it on. I love it! Your boos are feeding me.&#8221;
&#8220;Boo me. I don’t care,” she <a href="https://x.com/carrieunderwood/status/2028643682799518184">posted</a> Monday night on X alongside a laughing-crying emoji.
Underwood also stated further proof that the booing went beyond her feedback for contestants. The singer asked fellow judge Luke Bryan, “Why don’t they boo you?” to which he replied, “I don’t know, I’m trying to get booed.”
Her followers on social media assumed it was at least partly due to her association with the current administration.
“For every boo there&#8217;s at least 10000 of us who support you!  You are a great role model for young girls. Never stop being you, never sacrifice your values, and never give in to the mob,” one person <a href="https://x.com/Lpr915/status/2029156052919320905">wrote</a> in reply.

Several commenters speculated that the crowd could be booing Underwood because of her comments as a judge on the show, saying it had nothing to do with her inauguration performance at all. But several people in the comments validated that if anything, it was probably a bit of both.
“I will always like “before he cheats” but you support Tr*mp and so let them boo! You deserve it,” one hater <a href="https://x.com/thejmundo/status/2028661288134427043">wrote</a>.
“MAGA lunatic Carrie Underwood is upset that she is getting booed on American Idol,” singer Ricky Davila <a href="https://x.com/TheRickyDavila/status/2024326797102633393">wrote</a> on X last month. “Well in that case I hope the boos are louder and much more frequent.”
Underwood has remained private about her political leanings. She issued a statement following the immense backlash she faced for singing at the inauguration. 
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” she said ahead of the event, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/john-rich-calls-on-country-stars-who-support-trump-to-announce-themselves">reported</a>. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

Police body-camera footage has been released showing the moments after a former &#8220;American Idol&#8221; contestant and worship pastor allegedly killed his wife in the early morning hours of February 16 in Tipp City, Ohio, just north of Dayton.
Caleb Flynn is in jail on a $2 million bond after being charged with the murder of his wife, Ashley. The newly released video shows the Tipp City Police responding to what they believed was a burglary call that ended with Ashley being shot. Now, officials say Caleb shot his wife and staged the burglary scene.
&#8220;Is she gone?&#8221; Caleb, who once raved on &#8220;American Idol&#8221; about how much he loved his wife, asked investigators as they canvassed the crime scene.
Caleb seemed in pure shock that his wife was dead. Investigators asked Caleb if he had any weapons. He said he had guns in the house and referenced one specifically in his truck&#8217;s glove compartment.
Hours of body-cam footage were released this week as the investigation into Caleb continues. In one of the videos, Caleb is confiding in another woman, believed to be Ashley&#8217;s mother, in the yard as officers work to secure the scene.
“She told me to sleep on the couch &#8230; I shouldn&#8217;t have listened,&#8221; Caleb said.
The father of two was wailing and even throwing up at one point during the police&#8217;s initial search of the home. Caleb and Ashley&#8217;s daughters were inside during the alleged shooting.

Later that morning, the footage shows Caleb agreeing to go to the police station for questioning. While sitting at the station, he asked about getting his phone back as well as where Ashley was.
&#8220;Where did you take her?&#8221; Caleb asked the detective. The detective responded by saying Ashley&#8217;s body was still at the house as investigators were &#8220;scouring&#8221; everything.
Three days after Caleb voluntarily went in for questioning, he was arrested and transported to the Miami County jail, where he remains on charges of homicide, two counts of felonious assault, and two counts of tampering with evidence.
After Caleb&#8217;s arrest, Ashley&#8217;s family released this statement: &#8220;Our hearts are shattered. Ashley brought endless light to our world and we are trying to navigate this immense loss. Our family believes this arrest was made carefully and not without serious consideration. After speaking with both local police and federal authorities, we trust the proper steps were taken and the process is being handled appropriately. We kindly ask for privacy as we work through this complex situation. We are clinging to our faith – just as Ashley did each and every day.&#8221;
Prior to Caleb&#8217;s arrest, Ashley was set to have a public celebration of life, but because of the tragic circumstances, she was laid to rest privately.
Caleb is being represented by Patrick Mulligan, who spoke out about his client&#8217;s $2 million bond.
Per <a href="https://www.daytondailynews.com/local/ashley-flynn-murder-case-husbands-attorney-questions-thoroughness-of-investigation/BLOGSCW4FBDQFB3P2A52FNFCCE/">the Dayton Daily News</a>, Mulligan said the bond was unnecessary. &#8220;It denies him the opportunity to be at the funeral for his wife, which is an unspeakable tragedy,&#8221; Mulligan said at the time.
Caleb made his first court appearance on February 20, where he told the judge, &#8220;I just want to take care of my daughters, I’m not a risk.&#8221;
Caleb&#8217;s preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for March 26.
The 39-year-old competed on Season 12 of &#8220;American Idol.&#8221; He described himself as a devoted husband, worship pastor, and Christian.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

An arrest has been made in connection with the murder of longtime &#8220;American Idol&#8221; music supervisor Robin Kaye, 70, and her husband, who were both found shot and killed in their California home earlier this week. 
Police said that Raymond Boodarian, 22, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder in what is believed to be a burglary gone wrong.
An investigation revealed that the murders may have occurred on July 10, per the LAPD, due to the fact that their office received two calls that day about a possible burglary. Police <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/15/entertainment/american-idol-robin-kaye-double-homicide">said</a> they flew a helicopter over the mansion at the time but did not attempt to enter due to the property being “highly fortified” and not seeing outward signs of forced entry. The couple lived in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Officers arrived to conduct a welfare check after a concerned friend called on Monday. 
That’s when officers discovered a broken window and signs of a “violent struggle,” the police chief <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/american-idol-music-supervisor-dead-1236022120/">said</a>, noting that both of the victims were &#8220;ruthlessly shot multiple times.&#8221; 
Kaye’s body was found in the pantry while her husband, Thomas Deluca, was found deceased in a bathroom, per <a href="https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/man-woman-fatally-shot-inside-encino-home/3745211/">NBC Los Angeles</a>. 
The suspect is believed to have scaled a seven to eight-foot-high fence with metal spikes on top of it to gain entry into the residence. Police believe he was in the house for about 30 minutes before the couple encountered him. 
At this time, there is no suspected motive, and the crimes are being treated as a random attack. A murder weapon has not been recovered.
The person who took care of the couple’s pool said there was another attempted break-in a little over a month ago. &#8220;Tom told me that somebody tried to break in, and the dog, he woke up and barked,&#8221; Mauro Quintero <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/american-idol-music-boss-robin-kaye-husband-found-murdered-la-home">told</a> Fox News Digital during an interview. &#8220;So they got up, and I guess they turned the lights on, and the people [ran] away.&#8221;
He continued, &#8220;At that point [Deluca] put something on the wall, so the people don&#8217;t jump in anymore. I guess he was trying to see if that [would] save him from another break-in. But I never expect[ed] that they got murdered like this.&#8221;
The outlet also reported that the couple had consulted with a home security company but did not proceed with installing the system.
Kaye worked as a music supervisor on &#8220;American Idol&#8221; from 2009 to 2023, which prompted reps from the show to issue a statement on her murder.
&#8220;We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom&#8217;s, passing,&#8221; an American Idol spokesperson said. &#8220;Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.&#8221;

“[One judge] Lionel Richie, who is very liberal, may not see eye to eye with Carrie&#8217;s views which could create some tension,”  the source continued. “He has never and will never support Trump. The general opinion is that Carrie should have thought about the show&#8217;s culture and network values before jumping into such a major role while under contract.”

Christian singer and former “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/american-idol">American Idol</a>” contestant Mandisa has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/death">died</a> at the age of 47.
Mandisa Lynn Hundley, a native of Citrus Heights, California, was discovered deceased in her home in the Nashville metro area. An investigation into the incident is currently underway, <a href="https://www.tennessean.com/story/entertainment/music/2024/04/19/american-idol-alum-christian-singer-mandisa-has-died-in-nashville/73382383007/">per</a> The Tennessean. 
&#8220;At this time, we do not know the cause of death or any further details,&#8221; a statement from the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music">singer</a>’s rep said. &#8220;We ask for your prayers for her family and close-knit circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time.&#8221;
A spokesperson from the Franklin Police Department did not share any details about Mandisa’s death other than confirming that the investigation was currently active.
Hundley is best known for her appearance on the reality singing competition show &#8220;American Idol&#8221; after auditioning in Chicago in 2005, the outlet noted. She was among the top nine contestants on that season of “Idol.”
She released her first album, &#8220;True Beauty,&#8221; in July 2007. Her single “Only the World” debuted on the Top Christian Album charts, which was a first for a female artist. The song also debuted at number 43 on the Billboard 200.
Her other albums included “It’s Christmas” (2008), “Freedom” (2009), “What if We Were Real” (2011), “Overcomer” (2013), “Out of the Dark” (2017), and a greatest hits album released in 2020.

Emmy Russell, the granddaughter of the late Country Music Hall of Famer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/country-singer">Loretta Lynn</a>, got emotional while performing on the reality singing competition show “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/american-idol">American Idol</a>” on Monday night.

She was nominated for Performance of the Year at the 2023 CMT Music Awards after taking the stage at her grandmother&#8217;s CMT broadcast memorial.
During a recent appearance on the &#8220;Biscuits &amp; Jam&#8221; podcast, she said, &#8220;Memaw [Lynn] passed down her guitar to me when I was 15 at the Ryman Auditorium. Amid the buzz, Perry herself reacted to the performance. &#8220;Ok ,dang I can never sing that again,&#8221; she said.
The clip was also posted to X, and received a similar array of compliments.
Released as the last single from her hit album &#8220;Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection,&#8221; Perry’s song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She later said the inspiration from the song came from &#8220;major life changes,&#8221; including her divorce from actor Russell Brand, per Bustle.
&#8220;It&#8217;s kind of like the labyrinth of my life in the last two years,&#8221; Perry told MTV. &#8220;I just wanted to tell a story about myself kind of going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of the maze. There&#8217;s good parts, there&#8217;s bad parts, and the whole time there&#8217;s the younger version of me leading me through.&#8221;
Clarkson, who rose to fame by winning the very first season of &#8220;American Idol&#8221; in 2002, previously covered two other Perry hits during the musical segment of her talk show that airs on NBC. One was the 2013 hit song &#8220;Roar&#8221; and the other the 2011 song &#8220;The One That Got Away.&#8221;
In 2020, Clarkson congratulated Perry on her 2020 single &#8220;Daisies,&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/kellyclarkson/status/1278269805691199488?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writing</a> on Twitter, which has since been rebranded to X, &#8220;Get it [Katy Perry] you look BEAUTIFUL in this video #bytheway.&#8221;

Singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/katy-perry">Katy Perry</a> shocked the audience of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday night when she revealed that this will be her last season serving as a judge on “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/american-idol">American Idol</a>.”
The late-night host set up the announcement by asking Perry how much longer she planned to host the popular reality competition singing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">show</a>. 
“Well, you know, this fall, this September, I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio. It’s really exciting,” the 39-year-old singer replied, per <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/02/13/entertainment/katy-perry-quits-american-idol-after-7-seasons-i-need-to-feel-that-pulse-of-my-own-beat/">The New York Post</a>. “It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially my Brazilian fans.”
“So I think this will probably be my last season for ‘Idol,’” she added, which prompted a gasp from the audience. 
Perry continued, “I love &#8216;Idol&#8217; so much. It’s connected me with the heart of America. But I need to feel that pulse of my own beat.” 
The “Dark Horse” singer has been one of the panelist judges on “Idol” since the show was revived in 2018. She judges alongside Lionel Richie and country artist Luke Bryan.
When Kimmel asked how her co-stars reacted to the news, Perry indicated they didn’t know yet. “Well, they’ll find out tonight,” she joked.
The top-selling musical artist confirmed the announcement later with an Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C3RjSxjLNyt/?img_index=3">post</a>. 
“Let’s play two truths and a lie: 1. I beat @usher at Monopoly Deal. 2. I’m headlining Rock in Rio this September. 3. This is my last season on @americanidol,” she wrote in the image caption. 
Perry’s time on “Idol” hasn’t been without controversy. The “Hot n Cold” singer faced backlash for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mom-shaming-is-super-lame-young-mother-mocked-by-katy-perry-fires-back">comments</a> she made to contestants, including last March when she reacted strongly to a young mother who told the singer she had three children by the age of 25.

“If Katy lays on the table, I think I’m going to pass out,” contestant Sara Beth Liebe said, to which Perry replied, “Honey, you been laying on the table too much.”
Liebe later commented on the exchange, saying she found it “embarrassing” and “hurtful” to have had that happen on television. 
“Katy Perry made a joke that wasn’t super kind,” the contestant said. “I think that mom-shaming is super lame and I think that it’s hard enough to be a mom and it’s hard enough to be a woman,” Liebe added.

Pop star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/katy-perry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Katy Perry</a> has received some negative attention (not enough) for her disturbing battle with elderly nuns over a property, a former convent, in Los Angeles. But Perry’s suspect actions don’t come close to ending there.
Here’s a list of five jarring moves from the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/katy-perry-sparks-robot-comparisons-after-video-surfaces-of-bizarre-eye-glitch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sometimes-malfunctioning</a> 39-year-old “Teenage Dream” singer:
<h2>‘Blood On Her Hands’ </h2>
Perry in 2015 tried to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lifestyle/real-estate/inside-katy-perry-convent-sparked-a-real-estate-war-1247527/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">buy a property</a> in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles that was previously bought and used as a convent and public place of prayer by some 50 nuns known as the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles agreed to sell the property to the singer without the remaining living nuns’ consent. The nuns, in fact, felt very strongly that they did not want Perry to acquire the property after looking her up online, specifically referencing a video where the entertainer quips about selling her soul to the devil for fame. 
&#8220;In selling to Katy Perry, we feel we are being forced to violate our canonical vows to the Catholic Church,” Sister Catherine Rose Holzman <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/20/us/nuns-intensify-fight-over-sale-of-convent-to-katy-perry.html#:~:text=%E2%80%9CIn%20selling%20to%20Katy%20Perry,%2415%20million%2C%20were%20being%20considered." target="_blank" rel="noopener">said in 2015</a>. Sister Rita Callanan also commented publicly, &#8220;I thought, is that a way to make money?&#8221;

Perry attempted to win over the nuns through a personal meeting where she sang gospel music and showed the sisters a tattoo on her wrist that says “Jesus.” They were not won over, and quickly moved to sell to another person, Dana Hollister, whom they did feel comfortable buying the property, in part because Hollister would turn the convent into a hotel, which the public could still have access to. 
In response, the archdiocese sued the two nuns, arguing that Perry deserves the property. And Perry sued Hollister for interfering with her purchase. A judge decided against the sisters and Hollister, who was being targeted for even further punitive damages from the ordeal. 
The nuns begged Perry to stop going after them and Hollister, but Perry did not relent.
Hollister, shortly after, had to declare bankruptcy, and the two nuns accompanied her in court to show their support. Outside the courtroom, Sister Rose pleaded, &#8220;Katy Perry, please stop. It&#8217;s not doing anyone any good except hurting a lot of people.&#8221; Hours later, the sister collapsed and died inside the courtroom. Sister Callanan said publicly that Perry “has blood on her hands.” 
The court outcome said Perry could have the property after Vatican approval. It’s still unclear if she’s received such approval.

<h2>‘I Was Uncomfortable Immediately’ </h2>
In 2018, Perry kissed a young man without his consent on live television – an action that would have set the media on fire had the genders in this situation been reversed. Perry was acting as a judge on “American Idol” when a 19-year-old contestant named Benjamin Glaze was talking about his job as a cashier. Fellow judge Luke Bryan jokingly asked Glaze if he had ever “kissed a girl and liked it” – a reference to one of Perry’s hit songs. Perry then had Glaze kiss her on the cheek. She asked him for another peck, but tricked him by turning her head so the boy was locking lips with the pop singer. 
“Would I have done it if she (Perry) said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no,” Glaze admitted to The New York Times in the aftermath of the incident. “I know a lot of guys would be like, ‘Heck yeah!’ But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.” 
Glaze was so shaken up by the experience he spoke to his friends about it, and they reassured him that it was technically not his first kiss, since it wasn&#8217;t romantic. “It was lip contact versus a romantic situation with someone you care about,” Glaze said. “That’s what a real first kiss is.”

<h2>Mom-Shaming Bully</h2>
Earlier this year, Perry made waves for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mom-shaming-is-super-lame-young-mother-mocked-by-katy-perry-fires-back" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bullying and mom-shaming</a> “American Idol” contestant Sara Beth Liebe. Before her audition, Liebe <a href="https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/leylamohammed/katy-perry-mom-shaming-american-idol-contestant-sara-beth?d_id=5620666&amp;ref=bftwbuzzfeed&amp;utm_source=dynamic&amp;utm_campaign=bftwbuzzfeed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revealed</a> that she had borne three children by the time she was 25-years-old. That prompted Perry to pretend she was going to faint. Liebe commented, “If Katy lays on the table, I think I’m going to pass out,” to which Perry replied, “Honey, you been laying on the table too much.” 
The awkward moment clearly made Liebe uncomfortable, but for good measure, Perry closed by telling the young mother, “Look, if it’s not your dream, you’re not gonna go far.” The comment was taken by some as a scolding from Perry because Liebe prioritized motherhood at a young age.
As for Liebe, she addressed Perry’s remarks online: “I don’t really have too much to say on my feelings about it because I feel like it’s probably pretty self-explanatory,” she said. “I mean, it was embarrassing to have that on TV and it was hurtful and you know, that’s that. But I did want to take this opportunity to just say that I think that women supporting and uplifting other women is so cool and I think that mom-shaming is super lame and I think that it’s hard enough to be a mom and it’s hard enough to be a woman. And I also wanted to take this opportunity to say that I see all of the young moms and just moms in general who have commented on all of the videos and posts and everything and I just wanted to say that I see you and I hear you and I am grateful for you and you’re worthy and keep loving your babies.”
“Nobody deserves to feel crappy about that,” she declared. “Like I mean, bottom line, I don’t think there’s anything really more to it. And I think if you’re a good mama and you love your babies that’s all that really matters and other comments just don’t feel necessary and that’s all I have to say on the matter.”

<h2>Target: Elderly Vet With A Brain Disease </h2>
Perry’s real estate woes did not stop at her years-long battle with aging nuns. The pop singer is now entangled in more drama, this time with an elderly veteran named Carl Westcott, the founder of 1-800-Flowers, who says he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-california-dreamin-katy-perry-has-more-housing-drama-looming" target="_blank" rel="noopener">never meant to sell</a> Perry and her husband, actor Orlando Bloom, his $15 million Santa Barbara estate.
Westcott, an 83-year-old battling Huntington’s disease, reportedly said he signed sale documents in July 2020 when he was under the influence of painkillers after having major back surgery, The Daily Wire’s Amanda Harding recently reported. Westcott tried to back out of the sale days later when he said the influence of the painkillers wore off, but Perry and Bloom refused his request and threatened to sue if he did not go through with the sale. 
A representative for Perry and Bloom sent a letter following Westcott’s request to rescind the documents, saying he was legally obligated to complete the sale of the home. Westcott claims he never listed the home for sale and never asked a real estate professional to help sell it. He said he purchased the 9,285 square-foot, eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom home in May 2020, just two months before selling it to Perry and Bloom. Westcott further stated he had purchased with the intention of staying there “for the rest of his life.”
The plaintiff had back surgery in July 2020 and three days later signed the sale paperwork. Westcott was allegedly presented with a written offer from Perry and Bloom for more money than he paid for the property in May. “Upon discharge from the hospital, Mr. Westcott was prescribed at least two opiates in pill form that he was to continue taking for pain, which he took as prescribed several times each day,” the complaint states. “’The combination of his age, frailty from his back condition and recent surgery, and the opiates he was taking several times a day rendered Mr. Westcott of unsound mind.” The veteran’s lawyers argue he was “unable to understand the nature and probable consequences of his actions” due to being on pain medication. They say their client is “in the final years of his life and cannot sell his home.”
Westcott will not attend the trial because he is mentally incapacitated and bedridden, leaving his family to fight the celebrity couple over who should be the rightful owners of the estate. A nonjury trial is scheduled for August 21, 2023, per <a href="https://www.insider.com/katy-perry-nuns-los-angeles-convent-sale-feud-timeline-2019-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">USA Today</a>. 
The current status of the home’s occupants, if any, remains unclear.

<h2>‘I Sold My Soul To The Devil’ </h2>
More than a decade ago, Katy Perry talked to Australian model and actress Ruby Rose about her transformation from gospel music to secular pop music. Perry noted that she grew up in a Christian church and wanted to dominate the Christian music industry, but the label she was working with went bust. That’s apparently when she made her switch over to secular music. “I swear, I wanted to be the Amy Grant of Music, but it didn&#8217;t work out, and, so, I sold my soul to the devil,” Perry says during the interview. The joke, or the metaphor for her transformation, has been criticized online, particularly by Christians.
Perry, of course, is not the only Hollywood celebrity to engage in suspect actions, but she has routinely evaded a “cancellation.” Others, who don’t hold Perry’s views, would surely not have the same fate.

In response, the audience started booing.
During another episode, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/katy-perry-accused-of-bullying-american-idol-contestant">Perry</a> was accused of &#8220;mom-shaming&#8221; contestant Sara Beth Liebe, a mother of three. Some fans said Perry was rude to Liebe after the contestant revealed her singing experience was basically the &#8220;church choir.&#8221;
&#8220;Is this your dream?&#8221; Perry asked Liebe, who appeared rattled and simply replied, &#8220;Um.&#8221;
&#8220;If it&#8217;s not your dream, you might need to leave because there&#8217;s a lot of dreams behind you,&#8221; Perry added.

The anonymous sources said they were victims of bullying and verbal abuse from the show&#8217;s producers, according to the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/kelly-clarkson-addresses-allegations-toxic-work-environment-talk-show-1235487270/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hollywood Reporter</a>.
&#8220;In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, I&#8217;ve always led with my heart and what I believed to be right,&#8221; Clarkson wrote. &#8220;I love my team at The Kelly Clarkson Show, and to find out that anyone is feeling unheard and or disrespected on this show is unacceptable.&#8221;

The &#8220;American Idol&#8221; winner&#8217;s comments come after allegations that producers overworked and underpaid staffers who found the working environment &#8220;traumatizing to their mental health.&#8221;
One said, &#8220;I remember going up on the roof of the stage to cry, being like, &#8216;Oh, my gosh, what am I doing? Why am I putting myself through this?'&#8221;
Another added, &#8220;I think Alex Duda&#8217;s [the talk show&#8217;s executive producer] a monster. I have a friend who&#8217;s an executive producer who warned me about taking this job, because apparently she has done this on every show she&#8217;s worked on.&#8221;
The employees also made it clear that none of the &#8220;toxicity&#8221; claims were directed at Clarkson, who they called &#8220;fantastic&#8221; and said that they &#8220;would be shocked if she knew&#8221; what was going on behind the scenes.

The 46-year-old country singer recently told Megan Danielle, a waitress from Douglasville, Georgia, that he was impressed with her commitment.
It happened on Monday&#8217;s show after Danielle sang, &#8220;Go Rest High on That Mountain&#8221; in honor of her grandfather, who passed away last year. She sang the same song at his funeral.
&#8220;I can&#8217;t imagine what you were feeling during that performance,&#8221; host Ryan Seacrest told the contestant. &#8220;You definitely honored him.&#8221;

Bryan explained that he was the one who picked the song for the young contestant and said it&#8217;s because she&#8217;s always willing to share her faith.
&#8220;What I love about you — I mean, we&#8217;re way beyond loving your voice — is you&#8217;re, you know, you&#8217;re never scared to tell everybody your faith,&#8221; Bryan said. &#8220;And when I thought about that song, I just felt in my heart that I couldn&#8217;t pick a better one than that for you.&#8221;
As Bryan explained his choice, Danielle became emotional and started tearing up, trying not to break down crying on the show. Seacrest then handed the contestant a handkerchief.
