<a href="https://www.dailywire.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DailyWire+</a> announced Thursday a stellar young cast that is set to bring its highly ambitious upcoming scripted series adaptation of &#8220;The Pendragon Cycle&#8221; to life.
Set to star alongside the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dailywire-reveals-true-discovery-talent-lead-actor-for-epic-pendragon-series" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously announced</a> actor Tom Sharp in the series lead role of Merlin, the beloved story will feature a talented ensemble of fresh faces including Brett Cooper, Rose Reid, James Arden, Myles Clohessy, Finnian Cassidy, Alex Laurence Phillips, Flo Thompstone, Emree Franklin, Duran Fulton Brown, Daniel Considine, Bertie Newman, George Prentice, and Alex Arco. With the Daily Wire’s commitment to deliver high-quality entertainment to its audiences, each actor will be taking on various roles crucial to the unfolding of Merlin and Arthur’s story and bringing their unique talent and energy to the project, promising a memorable portrayal of the beloved characters from the novels.
YouTube sensation <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/author/brett-cooper" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Cooper</a>, known for her against-the-grain, laid-back perspective on today’s culture in her DailyWire+ YouTube show “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-comments-section-with-brett-cooper" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Comments Section</a>,” joins the production in the role of Ganieda, the future wife of Merlin. Rose Reid, a rising star in the industry, will play the female lead character, Charis. Reid is also a writer on the series. Newcomer James Arden will play Taliesin, the title character of book one of the series on which the project is based.
The Daily Wire+/Bonfire Legend seven-episode first season is inspired by the first two books of the six-book series of Stephen R. Lawhead&#8217;s best-selling multi-award book series, &#8220;The Pendragon Cycle.&#8221; It is a unique retelling of the Arthurian legend, set not in the high Medieval age of knights in shining armor, but in the wake of a Roman-occupied Britain, where the seeds of Christianity are beginning to take root in the face of spiritual and physical darkness. As barbarian invaders threaten to lay claim to the Island of the Mighty, only those with faith in the true God will prevail.
