Wynonna Judd announced a throwback tour on Monday celebrating her first two albums, saying music has helped heal her following the death of her mom Naomi last year.
The 59-year-old country singer shared a post on X about the “Back to Wy Tour,” which kicks off October 26 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
“Two words…NUH-STALGIA,” Judd wrote. “I am thrilled to FINALLY announce that I’ll be hitting the road this fall, with the BACK TO WY Tour! We’re going to travel back to the 90’s, celebrating my start as a solo artist and performing my first TWO albums, ‘Wynonna’ and ‘Tell Me Why,’ top to bottom, back to back, in their entirety!”
“This means we get to play the hits, the deep cuts, and everything in between,” she added. “Getting to share this tour with the fans who have been with me for 40 years, means the world to me. Deep diving into my first two solo albums, track by track, will be such a trip down memory lane.”

“As I sit and listen to these two records, I’m flooded with the memories that surrounded that time in my life,” she continued. “The fans held me up and supported me through a season of change in 1992, and I now see ‘herstory’ repeating itself. This music healed me then, and is healing me now. The circle of life continues…”

Her post included information about signing up for presale tickets. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday. More information can be found here.
Judd’s post comes after she announced last week that “A Tribute to the Judds” album is coming out in October — featuring a star-studded list of performers singing her and her late mom’s most popular songs from their musical duo “The Judds.”
“To have all of these artists, most of which are my friends, come together and lend their voices and artistry to reimagine these songs, is so special,” Judd said in a statement on Facebook.
“A Tribute to The Judds” will partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness in honor of her mother, Naomi, who committed suicide in April 2022 following a mental health battle.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a free hotline for individuals in crisis or distress or for those looking to help someone else. It is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-8255.
