On Monday, a Tennessee woman pleaded guilty to having repeated sex with a 16-year-old boy who played football on a high school team her husband coached.
In 2015, Kelsey McCarter, 27, had sex with the teen multiple times in her home and in her car; she also sent the boy a topless video clip of herself.
Looking to mentor the teen who had behavioral issues, the perp’s husband, Justin, had invited the football player to stay at the couple’s home, according to the boy’s mother.

McCarter pleaded guilty to six counts of statutory rape preceding her trial in exchange for a lesser sentence, her attorney, Doug Trant, said.
Due to her guilty plea, the woman now faces three years behind bars, as opposed to the 38 years she otherwise faced, said Trant.
McCarter’s husband, who resigned from his position as assistant football coach at the high school last year, is apparently standing by his wife.
“She made a mistake,” said the attorney. “She’ll move past it. She’s young, and as you saw, her family is here in support of her. Her husband is strongly supportive of her.”
“She’s very sorry about what happened, she’s sorry she put her family through this,” Trant said.
