Woman Marries The Ghost Of A Pirate

   DailyWire.com

Yes, in the enlightened 21st Century you can “marry” a pirate who died 300 years ago and have it legally recognized.

The pirate, Jack Teague, just became “husband” to Amanda Teague of Downpatrick, Northern Ireland. Her love of pirates began with her work as a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator. Despite being married to a “physical being” for six years, which culminated in five children, Amanda eventually fell in love with the dead entity Jack Teague and became his “wife.”

According to The Sun, “like any normal couple, Amanda and Jack go on dates, have rows and even have sex. Amanda appeared on Loose Women on Valentines Day 2018 and revealed she buys her ghostly hubby a glass of rum when they go on date nights to her local pub.”

(This is not a joke)

Jack Teague apparently liked living dangerously as a thief on the high seas until he came to his death by execution in the 1700s. Don’t feel bad for him, though, because he found his soulmate in Amanda. Their love affair “began one night in 2014 when she was lying in bed and felt his energy appear beside her.”

Amanda eventually hired a registrar and journeyed to international waters where she could legally marry the pirate. She even employed a “spiritual medium at the wedding to allow him to say ‘I do’ during the ceremony.”

“He is my soulmate. I am so happy, it is the perfect kind of relationship for me,” she says. “There are a lot of people out there who don’t know about spiritual relationships, but it could be right for them — I want to get the message out there.”

At first, Amanda hesitated to make contact with the spirit before employing the spiritual medium.

“One day he said to me ‘We can actually be together you know’ but I had never heard of an intimate relationship between a spirit and a human before,” she said.

At their ceremony, conducted by a shaman, Amanda held a flag bearing a skull and crossbone to symbolize him. His wedding ring has been fitted to a candle. They have sex regularly, which she claims involves no masturbation.

“It is well known that people often feel a spirit touch their hands, their face or their hair,” she says. “You can literally feel the physical act of what the spirit is doing to you, and the spirit can feel it too. Spiritual sex is all about being able to feel the energy. It’s nothing to do with masturbation.”

The Sun profiled the legality of this bizarre union:

There is no provision in UK law for posthumous marriages, so the couple took a boat into international waters in the Atlantic Ocean, off the Irish Coast, for their ceremony.

Marrying a dead person is legal in certain countries such as France, Singapore and China, so by going into waters which aren’t governed by any particular country, Jack and Amanda’s union can be upheld.

Amanda now signs all her documentation as ‘married’ and says her posthumous relationship has never been questioned by authorities.

And all of us thought marriage to robots was the future extreme. Crazy really knows no bottom.
