WNBA Will Donate Ticket Sales To Planned Parenthood

In an announcement on Wednesday, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) said it is rolling out a “new women and girls empowerment program” for the 2018 season — “Take a Seat, Take a Stand.” The chronically low number of fans who purchase tickets will “have the chance to support several organizations that are changing the game for women and girls,” including abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood, which aborts thousands of girls out of existence every year.

The organization selected will be given $5 for every ticket purchased. And just to show how truly left-wing this “charity” push actually is, the WNBA announced the program on Twitter along with video from the Women’s March.

“This season, your tickets support more than women’s basketball,” the video stressed. “It supports women.”

WNBA president Lisa Borders said the program elevates the voices of their players to join in the women’s movement.

“For 22 years, the WNBA and its players – women playing at the highest level of their sport – have stood up as role models for millions of women and girls,” Borders said. “We are proud to come together as a league to stand with our partner organizations, our fans and the many inspiring women raising their voices for change in the current women’s movement.”

Planned Parenthood thanked the WNBA for their support and for bringing attention to “inequality.”

“We’re so grateful the WNBA is standing up for the 2.4 million patients who rely on Planned Parenthood and supporting issues that affect the health, well-being, and success of women and girls,” Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in the press release. “Players have used their platforms to bring attention to inequality and, through ‘Take a Seat, Take a Stand,’ the WNBA is giving fans an opportunity to join them in the fight for social change.”

As noted by Newsbusters, WNBA’s full-throated love affair with the abortion conglomerate began last year when the Seattle Storm partnered with Planned Parenthood.

On Friday, the Trump administration revealed it will be stripping Title X funds from Planned Parenthood.
