“The View” host Whoopi Goldberg blew up at Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) over the fact that she had heckled President Joe Biden during Tuesday evening’s State of the Union speech.
Goldberg joined her co-hosts on Wednesday’s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show to discuss their responses to Biden’s address, and Goldberg took that time to criticize Boebert for shouting at the president during the speech, arguing that she had disrespected military service members in doing so.

The disruption came as Biden was speaking about the need for better care for veterans, particularly those suffering from cancers that are believed to be related to exposure to the toxic fumes from burn pits.
Goldberg shared the clip of Biden, who said, “Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan faced many dangers. One was stationed at bases and breathing in toxic smoke from ‘burn pits’ that incinerated wastes of war—medical and hazard material, jet fuel, and more. When they came home, many of the world’s fittest and best-trained warriors were never the same. Headaches. Numbness. Dizziness. A cancer that would put them in a flag-draped coffin —” Biden said and Boebert interrupted.
“You put them in, 13 of them!” she shouted, referencing the 13 service members who were killed in the Kabul attack while they assisted with the evacuation of Afghanistan.
“— One of those soldiers was my son, Maj. Beau Biden,” the president continued, mentioning his eldest son who passed away after a battle with brain cancer in 2015.
After the clip ended, Goldberg and her co-hosts discussed the scene — noting that Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had apparently turned to Boebert and told her to stop.
“Don’t talk about the military unless you really want to talk about the military,” Goldberg cautioned. “You can’t do what they do. That’s why we revere them, because they do the stuff we can’t do.”
“And the minute you poop on them, you poop on them like the last guy did, talking about those gold star families, talking about Mr. McCain as not being a hero. Who the hell do you think you are, little girl? Who do you think you are?” Goldberg continued, referencing former President Donald Trump’s comments about the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ).
“You know. You don’t have to — you don’t have to like this president to be respectful of him talking about the military and his son who died. You don’t have to do that. You don’t have to like him, but you must be respectful. You got to be,” Goldberg concluded.
Co-host Sunny Hostin also criticized Boebert — along with fellow Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who interrupted the part of Biden’s speech about securing the border and implementing immigration reform to chant “build the wall!” “People have the freedom in this country to be classless and tacky,” Hostin said.
