The Biden administration this week refused to respond to questions concerning transgender athlete Lia Thomas, formerly Will Thomas, dominating women’s collegiate swimming.
The non-response seems to underscore the White House’s position on transgender athletes in women sports. Under the ironic pretense of advancing “equality,” President Joe Biden’s position permits biological males who identify as female taking away opportunities and wins from biological girls and women.
“During Biden’s 13 months in the White House, his administration has aggressively sought to ensure that biologically male athletes who identify as transgender girls are allowed to compete in female athletics,” Fox News reported. “Biden campaigned on passing the Equality Act, which would amend federal anti-discrimination law to make ‘gender identity’ a protected category.”
“The bill would require schools across the country to allow biologically male athletes who identify as transgender girls to compete in female athletics,” the report noted. “Although the bill has yet to become law, the Biden administration has sought to accomplish many of its aims through executive action.”
Fox News reported Monday that the White House did not return a “request for comment on whether the controversy swirling around Thomas has impacted Biden’s position on transgender athletes competing in female sports.”
Thomas, a biological male who competed against males until the athlete started to identify as a woman, is the most recent example of the devastating consequences from the Left’s LGBTQ agenda.
Thomas has won multiple titles at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships, The Daily Wire reported this weekend, adding, “Beyond setting a meet record in the 200-yard freestyle by a margin of nearly three seconds, Thomas clinched a pool record for the 500-yard freestyle.”
Aside from the glaring injustice of Thomas taking away wins from biological female swimmers, Thomas is also making female swimmers uncomfortable in the locker room. The Daily Wire reported:
A teammate of Lia Thomas on the University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team told the The Daily Mail that the locker room she shares with Thomas is “definitely awkward because Lia still has male body parts and is still attracted to women.”
The Daily Mail report includes that the anonymous teammate stated that although Thomas’ male genitalia are often covered by a towel, there have been a number of times Thomas’ nudity has been revealed, exposing the genitalia for the women on the team to glimpse and making them feel uncomfortable.
Thomas has also reportedly talked to teammates about having dated women. “The anonymous teammate purportedly charged that women on the team have articulated their concern with the coach, Mike Schnur, in order to get Thomas barred from the locker room, but to no avail,” The Daily Wire noted.
