White House Issues Statement Of ‘Outrage’ After Terror Attack On Israeli Embassy Staffers

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered a statement of “outrage” from President Donald Trump during Thursday’s press briefing, responding to the terror attack that had left two Israeli embassy staffers dead just hours earlier.

Elias Rodriguez, the suspect in the shooting deaths of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, allegedly chanted “Free, free Palestine” while he was being arrested — and Leavitt shared the president’s thoughts on the tragic situation.

“President Trump is saddened and outraged over the brutal murder of two Israeli Embassy staff here in Washington, D.C., last night,” Leavitt began. “Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were a beautiful young couple. In fact, we learned that Yaron was planing to propose to Sarah next week in Jerusalem.”

“Yaron’s father Daniel spoke about the young couple’s devotion for one another this morning,” she continued. “He said, ‘They were in love, one for the other.’ The Embassy told us they were like star couple at the Embassy. ‘I never expected something like this. He had his whole life before him.'”

“These words, especially every parent knows, are heart-wrenching,” Leavitt said. “The evil of antisemitism must be eradicated from our society … Everyone here at the White House is praying for the victims’ friends and family during this unimaginable time.”

Leavitt also stated that she’d spoken to Attorney General Pam Bondi about the investigation earlier in the day, and that Bondi had promised that the perpetrator of the horrific crime would be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law.”
