Welcome to California, where parents are encouraged to mutilate their kids in and outside the womb.
This week, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law multiple bills strengthening the Golden State’s commitment to the legal killing of the unborn as well as radical, life-changing surgery for minors suffering from gender dysphoria.
The Daily Wire reported on Friday that the potential 2024 presidential candidate signed a bill on Thursday that “restricts California officials and health providers from cooperating with out-of-state attempts to stop a child from getting gender health services, which could include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or gender surgery.” It also bans California officials from “enforcing another state’s order that a child be removed from parents who allow the child to receive gender health services.”
Perhaps most shockingly, the law even gives California courts the authority to strip custody rights of parents, regardless of where they live, who refuse to allow their children to receive such procedures, according to the Heritage Foundation.
While Newsom might call it “gender-affirming care,” the process is a lot more gruesome.
For example, in California, girls as young as 13 can receive double mastectomies — a complicated procedure that removes a female’s breasts so that she may present herself with the appearance of a man.
Additionally, Newsom directed $200 million toward abortion and created abortion.ca.gov this month.
Currently, in California, anybody can get an abortion regardless of age.
While it is technically “banned” after the baby in the womb becomes “viable,” abortion remains legal through all trimesters if a doctor determines that carrying the child is a threat to the life or health of the mother.
California voters will have the opportunity to enshrine abortion as a state right this fall via Proposition 101, which reads:
Proposition 1 changes the California Constitution to say that the state cannot deny or interfere with a person’s reproductive freedom and that people have the fundamental right to choose:
Whether or not to have an abortion.
Whether or not to use contraceptives.
If affirmed, a court could interpret that the state’s constitution now allows abortion for any reason, at any moment during pregnancy.
What is at the heart of these flurries of laws? Well, if you ask Newsom, it is about “parental rights.”
“Parents know what’s best for their kids, and they should be able to make decisions around the health of their children without fear,” Newsom said after signing the radical gender theory law. “We must take a stand for parental choice.”
Of course, as mentioned, children do not need to receive parental permission to obtain an abortion in California. Parents do not even have to be informed it occurred at all under California law.
Now, moms could soon have the “right” to end their kid’s life in California, no questions asked — so long as she or he is in the womb.
There is no time for euphemisms here. This is not “gender-affirming care.” This is not “progressive.” This is not about parental rights. It is a complete jump into insanity and the definition of evil.
In one of the most influential states in America, you can terminate your child by having a doctor use a giant clamp to rip him or her apart. If you want a doctor to tear your teenager’s body apart and sew it back together because your little girl now thinks she is a little boy, you can do that, too.
California is not alone in this madness, but it is the most vocal. Worse, Democrats and their media allies want the state to be a model for the nation. What a nightmare.
