At a packed rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Thursday night, President Donald Trump hit famed actor Brad Pitt over his politically-charged Oscars acceptance speech earlier this month.

“How bad were the Academy Awards?” Trump sounded-off, Thursday night. “And then we have Brad Pitt. I was never a big fan of his.”

“He got up, said a little wise guy thing,” the president added. “He’s a little wise guy.”

While accepting an Academy Award for his role in “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood,” Pitt dropped an impeachment joke. “They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week,” he said.

“I’m thinking maybe Quentin [Tarantino] does a movie about it. In the end, the adults do the right thing,” quipped the actor, taking a shot at Senate Republicans.

As noted by The Daily Wire, Pitt was confronted by reporters over his acceptance speech, specifically the rumors that he did not prepare the remarks himself.

“Some unkind souls have suggested that you had a writer throughout the speeches this award season, say it ain’t so,” one reporter asked.

“Well, no, I’ve actually, historically I’ve always been really tentative about speeches, like, they make me nervous,” Pitt said. “So, this round I figured if we’re going to do this, like, put, like, some real work into it and try to get comfortable and, and this is a result of that. Um, no I definitely write them, I have some funny friends, I have some very, very funny friends that help me with some laughs but, but, no, it’s got to come from the heart.”

“Tonight, you did have your political reference, what kind of prompted you to go that way?” another reporter pressed.

“I was really disappointed with this week, and I think when gamesmanship trumps doing the right thing, it’s a sad day,” the actor answered, “and I don’t think we should let it slide. And I’m very serious about that.”

The president also voiced his displeasure with “Parasite” taking Best Picture during the rally.

“The winner is… a movie from South Korea!” Trump told the crowd on Thursday, as highlighted by The Daily Wire. “What the hell was that all about? We got enough problems with South Korea with trade,” said the president. “On top of that, they give them best movie of the year? Was it good? I don’t know. Let’s get ‘Gone With the Wind.’ Can we get ‘Gone With the Wind’ back, please? ‘Sunset Boulevard’? So many great movies…”

“The winner is from South Korea!” Trump continued. “I thought it was best foreign film, right? Best foreign movie. Did this ever happen before?”

Hollywood is largely anti-Trump, with many actors and public figures using their platforms to campaign against the president and smear him as “racist” and “sexist.” Trump has, in turn, hit back against numerous Hollywood figures, including Alec Baldwin, Meryl Streep, and Robert De Niro.
