Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) released a new ad this week as part of a multi-million dollar ad buy in Iowa as he competes for the Republican Party presidential nomination.
Fox News reported that the $6 million campaign for his “Winning” ad launched on Thursday and features the presidential candidate talking about what he learned by playing football when he was growing up.
During the ad, Scott is standing on a football field and is throwing a ball with young men.
“Playing football taught me that it’s good to fight, but it’s better to win,” Scott said in the video. “But in Joe Biden’s America, everybody gets a participation trophy, and everybody is a victim.”
“The radical left is indoctrinating our children, teaching CRT instead of ABC, punishing excellence by eliminating honors classes and promoting a transgender ideology that’s ruining women’s sports,” he adds in the video. “I’m Tim Scott and I approve this message because, as president, I’ll fight back, and I’ll win.”
Scott launched his campaign in late May by touting his own up-from-poverty story while giving a speech from his alma mater, Charleston Southern University.
“Our nation, our values, and our people are strong. But our President is weak,” Scott said, according to his prepared remarks. “America is not a nation in decline. But under Joe Biden, we have become a nation in retreat. Retreating from our heritage and our history. Retreating from personal responsibility and hard work. Retreating from strength and security. Even retreating from religious liberty and the worship of God himself.”
“This is the freest and fairest land. Where you and I can go as high as our character, our grit, and our talent will take us,” he continued. “Our party and our nation are standing at a time for choosing. Victimhood or victory? Grievance or greatness? I choose freedom and hope and opportunity.”
